CONTENT WARNING: imprisonment, solitary confinement, murder, homosexuality. The duds just keep on coming this week as a movie about one of America’s most dangerous (and quirky) prisoners just collapses under its own weight. Many times we celebrate directors and casts who deeply care about their subject. In this case, it somehow makes the whole experience worse, mostly because it commits the cardinal sin of being boring.
