Satire, wie kent het niet? Nou, dat ligt dus blijkbaar aan de context. Zo leren we van promovendus Britta Brugman van de Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. Zij doet onderzoek naar satire en in het bijzonder het taalgebruik in satirisch nieuws, door analyses te maken van satirsch, neutraal en gekleurd nieuws.
Hoe kijkt zij tegen een website als De Speld aan? Is GeenStijl satire? Is ironie in the eye of the beholder of een objectieve maatstaf? Wat zijn taaleigenschappen die een nieuwsartikel of video satirisch maken en wat voor invloed heeft dit op de mening en gedrag van de lezers en kijkers? Bestaat neutraal nieuws eigenlijk wel en kun je als onderzoeker hier zelf wel neutraal in zijn?
Kortom, wetenschap over satire, ook dat is Makkelijk Praten. En satire over wetenschap? Wat is trouwens het nut van snot? En hoe snel herken je een liedje? Even zonder grappen: wederom een aflevering om te gieren (en te leren).
