Hey babes, welcome to the Manifesting Doll podcast.
(01:02):
I'm Barbara Orban from NoDietBabe.com and today I want to talk about something
called reverse manifesting.
So what is is reverse manifesting. Let's dive right in.
Manifestation, first of all, the law of attraction is something that is one
(01:25):
of the laws of the universe.
It is a law that is happening 24-7.
Just like law of gravity, I don't just use law of gravity when I'm believing
in it or thinking So meaning,
I don't have to believe in the law of gravity in order for gravity to apply to me.
(01:48):
If I drop a pen, that pen will drop regardless if I believe it will drop or not.
What this means is that when you say, I want to manifest...
It means that you are trying to be conscious of your thoughts,
feelings, and beliefs in order to be more in control of your reality.
(02:11):
But your reality is always a manifestation of your thoughts,
feelings, and beliefs on a conscious and a subconscious level.
So when we say manifestation, it's not just a process that is happening when
you are consciously trying to do it.
(02:32):
Manifestation is a 24-7 thing that's happening all the time,
whether or not you believe in
it or whether or not you're even trying to actively change your reality.
So the reason why we talk about reverse manifestation is based upon the understanding
that we are manifesting at all times, whether or not we are consciously aware of it or not.
(02:58):
And whether or not we actually even believe in manifestation,
everyone's life is a manifestation of their conscious and subconscious beliefs.
And our subconscious beliefs happen below the level of conscious awareness.
And these beliefs have been programmed throughout our life based upon our.
(03:26):
Initial programming from birth up until usually around age seven or eight,
but they are constantly being reinforced by the experiences that we go through.
And so on a subconscious level,
your belief systems are manifesting your reality,
even if consciously you're trying to manifest something and then you wonder
(03:50):
why you got some version of it, but there's different things that you're like,
it's not quite exactly what I wanted.
That can be because of the subconscious belief systems influencing that manifestation.
So that's how manifestation works.
It's a 24-7 thing. It's not, let me start manifesting something next week.
(04:15):
It's like everything in your reality right now is a manifestation.
And so that doesn't mean it's important to understand that that doesn't mean
that everything that happens in your reality is your fault.
The conditioning that we receive through society, through our upbringing,
(04:36):
through generational traumas, this is beyond what we have the capacity to fully control.
Even if we understand how to manifest, that doesn't mean that we all come with
equal opportunities, okay?
There are forces in societal conditioning and just the way society is set up
(05:00):
that means that we don't all get equal opportunity.
We just don't all, you know, we're not all in, we may all be in the same ocean,
but we're not all in the same boat, okay? When we say, oh, we're all in the same boat.
No, we all come from different backgrounds, have different.
Conditioning. We are not all in the same boat.
(05:23):
When I say that you have manifested everything that's ever happened to you,
that can make people feel, it can elicit this thing of shame and like, that's my fault then.
No, your conditioning is not your fault.
A baby or a child of three years of age cannot control what they're being conditioned into.
(05:46):
Societal norms play this huge role in society's conditioning that we just don't
have any control over these norms that really impact our life.
And especially with weight issues, there has been so much conditioning throughout
our lives, through television,
(06:06):
through magazines that do influence our beliefs and and perceptions,
and our body image struggles,
our relationship to food, that means that you cannot say, even though I am saying
that everything is manifested,
it does not mean I'm saying it's your fault, and I'm not saying that it is easy
(06:31):
to change on a subconscious level.
However, you can always improve your situation and move closer to what you want
and what you want is inevitable,
meaning you can achieve any goal that you set out to achieve, okay? So...
Reverse manifesting is the understanding that everything is coming from our
(06:58):
conscious and our subconscious mind.
And instead of looking at manifestation as just a conscious process,
you're looking at manifestation as a subconscious process, meaning you understand
that a lot of your belief systems are below your level of awareness.
And you're understanding how the conscious and the subconscious mind interact
(07:21):
and you're understanding that just because you consciously want weight loss
on a subconscious level,
there are programs that create conflict and there are parts of yourself that
maybe aren't on board with your conscious desire to lose weight.
Now, reverse manifesting is the process of investigating this.
(07:42):
It's the understanding that we have manifested weight struggles, okay?
So the perception that I'm asking you to adopt here is a manifestation perception, okay?
It's looking at, well, I wasn't born with this weight issue.
(08:05):
Yes, I can create paradigms where I'm saying it's genetic and et cetera,
et cetera. But is that really helping me to fully understand this?
Because even if we bring genetics into the argument,
there are plenty of people that have experienced a sibling who perhaps doesn't
(08:28):
develop a weight issue and another one that does.
So this is a phenomenon that we see all the time. We can see in families how
one individual might develop a weight issue and another one might not.
So we have to see that it's not just genetics that is playing a role in weight issues.
(08:51):
There are other things at play. And what I want to do in my group coaching program
is to help you with this reverse manifesting process.
I really understand the manifestation of weight problems and throughout the
childhood, how they come about.
And I understand and can help people begin to understand this manifestation
(09:16):
through that reverse manifestation process and linking it in with science and
psychology so that you have better control over your patterns.
Now, why do we want to do this? Why don't you just want to sign up for another
diet or start keto or carnivore or some other fad diet that you feel has lots of positive effects?
(09:45):
Testimonials. There's a lot of anecdotes where people say, oh,
I've lost so much weight because of this diet, that diet, this weight loss pill,
that thing that I was doing.
And so why would you want to do it this way rather than just going straight into that?
Well, it's because you have to zoom out on your life and you have to zoom out on other people as well.
(10:11):
A lot of people get very distorted in just focusing on what's happening right now.
Just focusing on this person went on this diet and after 30 days, they lost 15 pounds.
That's all they're focusing on is the instant gratification.
And what I want you to instead focus on with the understanding of reverse manifestation
(10:35):
and the understanding of patterns and how they play out in people is to zoom
out and really pay attention to these people.
And what I've noticed is I'll often witness even somebody really famous and
successful or like a coach or a business coach, a money coach,
(10:57):
they announce a new diet and they're really excited about it.
And then they start losing weight and they're just like, oh my God,
you guys, this is working for me.
But then what I noticed when we zoom out and we look at that person's patterns
overall, what I see a lot of is a certain duration of time later.
(11:19):
Everybody's different, but let's just say six months or a two-year period or a five-year period.
What I generally see with chronic dieters is this person will still get heavier over time.
So I've seen this in people where I'll see their chronic dieting habit and I'll
(11:40):
see them not want to look at their patterns.
Or maybe they do, but then they go back to chronic dieting.
And I'll witness them and.
Have a weight and then go on this diet, lose some weight.
But then when I look at them five years later, or sometimes even two years later,
they are now heavier than they were originally when they announced that they
(12:04):
were going on this fad diet.
And this is a phenomenon I've tracked for the last 18 years or so.
I've witnessed people doing this.
And this is why I started this business and why I got into this work was because
it was then I started noticing this at university.
I noticed that the chronic dieters would get heavier and heavier and the naturally
(12:29):
slim people who didn't have this dieting identity, they would stay the same.
And I would notice that people would say things like, wait until you have children,
you'll gain weight or wait until you get to a certain age, you'll gain weight.
But then these naturally slim people who have that identity don't end up gaining weight.
(12:52):
A lot of them that I've seen, they have three children and they've just gone
right back to their pre-baby weight, or they've gotten older.
And you'll see people in their 60s, 70s, 80s, even 90 year olds who haven't gained weight.
And so these rules and these belief systems are really about the person who
(13:16):
has them, not the general public overall.
And so I really have dedicated so much time and energy to studying this phenomenon
of the mindset and a person's beliefs and identity and having this slim, skinny,
(13:36):
slimmer identity, like the naturally slim, yes, that's what I'm talking about,
versus the chronic dieter, the person who chronically fluctuates in weight,
who's always having to start a new diet, who seems to somehow get bigger over
the years despite being on many diets.
(13:56):
So it just shows is that action alone is not enough to get you results.
Because if it was enough, we wouldn't see this phenomenon.
We wouldn't see this phenomenon of so many chronic dieters losing weight initially,
but when you zoom out and you look back and you track their weight,
(14:18):
they have actually gained over time.
And I see this time and time again, when we look at zooming out,
What I mean by zooming out is looking at rather than week to week and seeing
how when they start the diet, they lose weight.
I'm saying zoom out and look at maybe five years ago.
(14:39):
Okay. Was this person, has this person in a five-year period actually lost weight
when they've done these fad diets or have they lost and then regained?
Or maybe if five years isn't enough, maybe a 10-year period or a 15, 20-year period?
Has this person consistently gotten bigger over time and then associated that with age?
(15:06):
He said, well, that's because I'm getting older or it's because I had children.
Whereas naturally slim people who don't have that identity and don't think that
way can go through having children or go through...
Age and not have the same effect. This is the type of stuff that I've studied, that I've observed,
(15:32):
that I've looked at, because we want to understand the power of our belief systems
and confirmation bias and the brain's ability to distort and delete information,
which is what confirmation bias is, to the brain's ability, such a powerful
ability for the brain to do that, to match up with that that person's identity,
(15:54):
the concept that they have of themselves, and that's all tied into the subconscious
mind and how that manifests into our reality.
So that's really what I've been studying for the last, well, like a long time.
I've been passionate about trying to figure out my own weight issues for about 20 years.
(16:19):
But really when I started diving into to the mindset of things was 2008.
So yeah, like mathematically speaking, it's quite a long time.
We're coming up to, that would be like 16 years that I've been observing,
studying and learning to understand the relationship between my thoughts,
(16:43):
feelings and beliefs and my weight, 16 years.
So you could say that I've done quite a bit to learn about this.
I've had quite a bit of time to really reflect and understand this phenomenon
of manifestation of your weight.
And I've witnessed it in my own
life where I've been able to go from yo-yo diet, fluctuating in weight,
(17:08):
feeling like I had to get in shape before an event, or I would have to go on
diet after diet to even just stop myself from gaining weight,
I would have three different clothing sizes in my closet.
And to go from that to just having stability, complete stability,
(17:29):
success with intuitive eating, meaning I don't have to diet,
I don't have to count my calories, any of that anymore.
And I used to constantly have to do that.
I used to constantly try to to find ways to always be losing weight.
I was a chronic dieter, meaning even when I wasn't on a diet,
I was still preoccupied with figuring out how to lose weight.
(17:52):
I felt I had body image struggles, meaning I felt a lot of shame. I felt fat all the time.
I felt chronically uncomfortable in my body.
I felt anxiety about food decisions.
I felt confused, frustrated, lost, hopeless.
I felt like I had a slow metabolism.
I felt like carbohydrates made me gain weight.
(18:14):
I felt like I was different to naturally slim people, like I had a different
identity to them. I felt like my weight was difficult. It felt hard.
It felt like I was pushing against, having to force.
It felt difficult. It felt depriving.
And I changed all of that because that's the power of changing your subconscious mind.
(18:39):
Now, changing your subconscious mind, when we say, okay, I'm going to manifest,
a lot of people perceive that to be a process that is only conscious.
What I mean by that is people say, okay, I'm going to start manifesting something
and then they proceed to do it, expecting results within the next, let's say, two months.
(19:03):
Now that can actually happen. No doubt you start to see changes in your initial
reality when you start to manifest something.
I have no doubt in that. However, If you have big goals where you really want
to change your identity,
you want to change on an identity level, that's going to require subconscious
(19:24):
changes that can take longer than a few months.
Some subconscious changes can take a few years.
Just think about how long it takes a baby to learn a language,
okay? So if you're born in an English-speaking country.
Then just imagine how long it takes for that child when they first learn English.
(19:50):
Their first word, like a child might learn to say hello or to say mom or dad.
Okay. And then they start to piece together sentences and they start to say multiple words.
That child might take a few years to be fluent in English.
Why is this? Because the brain on a subconscious level level has to learn these
(20:15):
new concepts and piece it together and grow the brain and the neural pathways
in the brain have to develop.
Now, think of learning to be an entire different identity around a concept such
as your weight or money or relationships.
And dependent on, like I was saying before, how we're all in the same ocean,
(20:38):
but we're not all in the same boat,
it depends on your subconscious belief systems, somebody who has not got a lot
of subconscious blocks might be able to manifest money quite easily,
whereas somebody who has a lot of money mindset blocks would need to put in
more work on shifting the subconscious mind, and that will take longer,
(21:02):
as if they're learning a new language.
So if somebody was already fluent in German, Of course, they're going to find
it easier to speak German,
meaning if somebody is fluent already on a subconscious level in not having weight loss blocks,
of course, they're going to be able to just go on a diet and lose weight without
(21:26):
a lot of subconscious resistance.
Okay, and self-sabotage because self-sabotage is just subconscious beliefs that
don't align line with the outcome and it's self-protection, not self-sabotage.
It is just the subconscious beliefs protecting, acting as a protector.
(21:47):
So when we say, if somebody does it, is holding on to weight for protection,
what that means is that they have belief systems where their mind thinks it's
safer to have a heavier weight.
Now that person, for them, it might be like learning a new language on a subconscious
(22:08):
level for them to be able to change that identity.
And same with money, same with relationships, because relationships,
for example, as well, depend on attachment styles and how that person was raised
by their parents or how they witnessed their role models being in love.
So it's not just, oh, I'm going to manifest my soulmate or my SP,
(22:31):
significant person, special person.
SP is a common thing. I'm going to manifest my SP using conscious,
my conscious mind, and then I'm going to manifest my partner in a few months.
That's great, but everyone's going to have a different experience of how long
that takes or what type of person they call in based upon their subconscious programming.
(22:56):
Okay. So we have to understand the process of manifestation is not not just
involving the conscious mind, it's involving the conscious and the subconscious mind.
And it can take longer if the subconscious mind has a lot of limiting beliefs
to work on that can be similar to learn new belief systems,
(23:17):
can be similar to learning a new language and can take time for the brain to
learn and to consolidate that information and for it to come naturally and automatically.
So that's really what we're looking at in group coaching.
We are looking at these subconscious programs that have led you to have chronic
(23:41):
weight issues, chronic weight cycling,
meaning despite you going on diets, you somehow end up at the same weight again
and again, or you somehow end up gaining weight over time.
You feel frustrated. You feel like you put in so much effort,
yet you're just not getting the outcome that you want.
(24:04):
If that's you, I really am excited to help you with this because a lot of my coaching clients,
a lot of my people in group coaching just come to this,
oh my God, just so much insights and so much aha moments of their weight issue
and learning to understand how to change that wiring to see the weight issue as a life thing.
(24:31):
So I want you to benefit for five years, 10 years, 20 years,
30 years, 40 years to come, meaning nothing.
Do you know how great it is to just not have my weight fluctuate and be the
same way of when I lost 30 pounds 10 years ago,
I started the journey of losing 30 pounds and my weight has remained consistent without having to diet.
(24:59):
It is, oh my God, freedom.
It's so wonderful to feel this
way. And I used to hate how I felt in the past. I felt so out of control.
I felt like I had to follow something strict. Like I was obsessed with CrossFit
and paleo, but I would even gain weight on paleo sometimes.
(25:21):
Sometimes I would lose weight eating healthy and then other times I would gain
weight eating healthy. And it was so frustrating.
I always was trying to do things drastically like cutting out sugar,
cutting out carbohydrates, really going extreme with my exercise,
that yo-yo dieting, weight cycling was exhausting.
(25:42):
Not to mention, it's not very good for cortisol levels as well.
I know I want to do a podcast on cortisol and weight gain because I know that's
a topic that is trendy at the moment, but I really understand these things on
a much deeper level and that connecting it into science, psychology, and manifestation.
So that's what we go deep into in group coaching is really seeing this from
(26:07):
a holistic point of view, but a manifestation point of view and a quantum physics
point of view and understanding the interrelationship between our thoughts, feelings,
and beliefs and what manifests in our reality.
But like I said, reverse manifesting, meaning we're looking at the subconscious
mind and And seeing this from a scientific level of how we are constantly creating our reality.
(26:31):
It's not just something that occurs when we decide to be conscious of it. So.
Check out the nodietbabe.com slash group coaching. I will be putting the link in the show notes.
I'm really excited. We start next week on Monday. So you have to get onto it quickly.
(26:53):

We have weekly Zoom call that will go for two to three hours and Voxer coaching Monday to Friday.
(27:14):
The current group members have been raving about the group and gave me really
nice testimonials. They've really enjoyed it.
I've got so many testimonials saying how it's literally really the best thing,
best investment they've made.
They're just so happy with the coaching container.
(27:36):
So I really, really, really would love it if you could join me for help with
this, because I just do not want you guys to continue this cycle of chronic dieting.
It breaks my heart to see people posting online saying,
I just cut out sugar and I just went on keto and I've lost so much weight over
(27:58):
the last 30 days and then only to see them get heavier two years later, five years later.
And then when I look and I go, wow, you haven't addressed your subconscious mind.
You haven't put enough dedication into that.
And I could help you so much with that because I've figured it out.
And it's so freeing to not have to keep on that yo-yo dieting cycle that I used to be on.
(28:24):
Okay. So I'll leave the link in the show notes and I love you guys.
I'll see you in the next episode. Bye.
