Speaker 1 (00:02):
Mccoop's Broncos twenty nine to twenty eight one of one
of the most amazing games I've seen. Rhys Walsh that performance.
He had an eventful afternoon, to say the least. That
last fifteen minutes well when he came on with fifteen
minutes ago in regular time and what's spilled off into
extra time in Golden Point. It's my opinion of the last
(00:24):
fifteen minutes and regular time is up there with Nathan
clear As twenty twenty three Grand Final last seventeen minutes.
Speaker 2 (00:29):
I agree Nathan Cleary has won and he reesblshed number
two on that list. Sunday afternoon Football and Canbra two
teams that have some individual bruins attacking flair that defensively
they're not the greatest defensive teams, but put Ko Weeks,
Reese Walsh, those players on a pitch together on a
Sunday afternoon. It was arguably one of the games we've
(00:52):
seen a long long time because they delivered and the
intense in the emotions surround it, but you couldn't have
scripted it. There were high highs, there were low lowsers,
everything in between, and elderly Ben Hunt was a man
that delivered through his day like it was epic.
Speaker 1 (01:07):
That's how the game is supposed to be, you know,
the way it was played yesterday, and it has brought
about best through day football, which is early in the game,
the big guys got the ascendency and they terrorize the
little blokes. But as the game starts to wear on,
you're starting to see the bigger blokes starting to hit
the walk becers, the speed intensity, and suddenly the second
half is the little man's game.
Speaker 2 (01:26):
So you think there should be more afternoon football and
finals off the back of.
Speaker 1 (01:30):
That, Well, it's hard. You know, we work in the
broadcast industry and the fact that broadcasters are paying such
billions of dollars it makes it hard. But I do
it world. I love day football. I would still love
a day Grand Final. And they say, yeah, but it's
eyeballs on screen. I've got no doubt that if you
went to the broadcaster and said listen, there's going to
(01:52):
be more eyeballs on it. It's just the fact that
people are going to sit around having barbecues and pubs
and whatnot, you could sell it.
Speaker 2 (01:57):
Do you think in hindsight, Ricky's regretting play on a
Sunday afternoon because it just opened up Reswolsh, didn't it
like if that is on a Saturday night cold in Canbra.
He does not have the speed, the time and the
ball security to do those.
Speaker 1 (02:12):
Things, Coops and that that is such a great point
night football in Canbra compared to a couple of hours earlier, Yep,
totally different football.
Speaker 2 (02:22):
It brings Reswalsh back from being ten out of a
ten threat. He's seven and a half eighth eighth.
Speaker 1 (02:28):
And when I said that's how football should be played
with the big Blakes versus the little bloke's evidence of that,
Kyo Weeks and Respoth in the back half, we're basically
doing whatever they wanted.
Speaker 2 (02:40):
And the key part to us was reswalshing Coyo Weeks
two passes wide, one on one with an edge defender.
It's almost forcing that edge defense to second guess. And
there's a point of difference with Weeks and Walsh. Walsh
is more creative and Weeks is a hell of a
runner like Walsh's good, but he's strong through the hips
(03:02):
where he breaks the tackle, he gets through the other side.
And when the Broncos were coming, every time Rus Walsh
got that ball to Marlay and Jed's steward on the
wings were almost guessing because they were just under that
much threat, like they were half guessing whether they should
turn in, jam in, stay out. And when you're doing that.
Speaker 1 (03:22):
Yeah, well, and you can see that right side defense
with Canberra Foggity and Timmkay, you can see they were
really struggling together in combination.
Speaker 2 (03:31):
Move with the speed that Walsh was to make it
three on three, that's made the indecision for Stuart.
Speaker 1 (03:36):
And that's when you see it. You see with Jed
You're sitting there on the wing and you're going, has
he got him? Hasn't he? You know, And it's the
lack of communication on the inside which makes our wingers
either go in or out. You know, as you said,
they're guessing during that extra time golden point period. You
know what, did you see their coops?
Speaker 2 (03:54):
Bertie Hunt deserves the accolades he gets for kicking that
field goal, but there is a multitude of errors from
both teams in the lead up to it in terms
of game management. This is with a couple of minutes
to go in regulation. Jamel Fogany fifth play runs from
dummy half Ethan Strange has to kick the ball. Look
what happens. Every meter counts in close contests. That's the
(04:18):
meter that Walsh needs to take that field goal shot.
That gets the Pealdi right. So Jamal Fogany cannot run
from dummy half on the fifth play. He needed to
get the ball to somewhere else. This is in extra time.
I've got no idea why you don't take the field
goal shot in extra time. Tick over the scoreboard, put
scoreboard pressure on, forces the opposition to do silly things.
(04:38):
This one, Walsh just kicks across field of Catoni stacks.
That's in general play mode. Just because it's five minutes
ten minutes of extra time doesn't mean the field goal
is redundant.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
Take it when you can, not when you need it.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
This one here, Hudson Young was in the perfect position
for a right foot field goal. He runs left, runs
all the way to the other side of the field.
Jamel Fogany tries to kick this, but look at the
pressure right foot pressure coming inside. So Hudson Young needs
to take a bit of ownership to help you half
back out in that moment. And there was just one
more so Sungy, he has to play the ball here.
(05:12):
This is with thirty seconds ago in extra time, the
game is on the line, FOGGINI can win it here
one run in and look it does okay here for Papaali,
but just kick the field goal. Yeah, like one extra
pass looking slow delivery. Now he passes Papali. He needs
to take more ownership here, going all in on this
play and put in Owen Patty there. That's a no no,
(05:34):
he had Fogetty a chance to win it.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
Then pressure coops.
Speaker 2 (05:38):
Yeah it does. I will say this pressure should be replicated. Now.
I know Nathan Cleary is known as the iceman in
our competition. To kick a match winning field goals a
half back. It's hard enough as it is, but then
putting other things in play where the players don't help
you do it, that makes it more difficult. And there
was a couple of occasions that I think if the
Raiders are in that situation again, and I know you
(06:00):
want players to play with freedom and eze up, but really,
thirty seconds ago on the game, just be cold hard
and put it in a position and trust your half.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
Back to Ricky. I think when he sits with the
team goes through, you'll look at that and say, boys,
you know, composure with under pressure.
Speaker 2 (06:17):
Bounced off and skittled across forty meters to get the
play the ball mate, bump down and get the player.
That's a quick play the ball. I'm pretty certain Jamal would.
Speaker 1 (06:25):
Have kicked it. Amongst everything that went on in regular time,
you know, the error's late and everything. The biggest crime
for the Raiders was the fact that they did something
they haven't done at all this year, and that was
tightened up. Stop playing football like now. If they in
that last fourteen minutes, coop, if they just continue to
play their natural game, they win.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
And that was a question mark about the Raiders lack
in big game experience in key positions. They had all
the conferences in the world and for sixty minutes they
delivered on it.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
The other player and I turned. My heart goes out
because news has just started to come through Billy waters
ential a cl he has. That's a big blow to
the Broncos. He's been sensational in the sixth and if so,
what do they do now? What do you think?
Speaker 2 (07:08):
Look, they have delivered off the back of when Ezra
Man and Adam Renlds went down, Rees Walsh has gone
to another level Ben Hunt has done okay, and Billy
you know, bad news, but he was He's been very,
very good. So if I'm Adam Reynolds and I'm sitting
on the sideline and I've just seen my team do
what they've done without me, it's up to Adam to
(07:29):
come in, because he definitely comes in. Adam Renolds definitely
comes into seven.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
It's up to him to come in and keep that
flow going. It's not about Adam coming up with the
big players. It's about the game management and getting the
ball in the position two passes wide so rees Walsh
gets it on that edge of defense with that speed
and space. It's a selfless attitude, a team first mentality
from Adam Reynolds for them to win the corp.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
There's a lot of similarities between Ponger and Walsh in
the fact you see their sweet spot is I think
exactly the same position coming around on that sweep option
down He's side. That's where you see. I mean he's
dangerously but he's really dangerous on that left.
Speaker 2 (08:04):
And Reynolds does have a great ability of squaring up
defenders and condensing and we've highlighted that at different stages.
But he just needs to come in and make Reese
Walsh the main man.
Speaker 1 (08:14):
Cooper Storm twenty six eighteen mate. Really again, like all
the finals, really entertaining game to watch it. We'll say
both sides, including Melbourne Storm, they need to pick up
significantly if they're going to win the title.
Speaker 2 (08:29):
Yeah. I think the Melbourne Storm were the favorites before
before a ball was kicked, and the only real question
mark that came in was prior to this game about
their form and against the Roosters and the Broncos. Off
the back of beating the Dogs and off the back
of what's happened in the competition so far, I think
they're back to competition's favorites. Yeah, I do. You've got
(08:51):
to put trust in what Harry Grant and Munster can deliver,
because I'll tell you what.
Speaker 1 (08:57):
Jonah Peasant played good.
Speaker 2 (08:59):
Played and the biggest game of his career showed that
he belonged yes, swagger, confidence and there's a couple of
moments that I really liked, swinging from the right hand
side and kicking the ball on Monster's left hand side,
kicked the forty twenty round the footy try saving tackle
on Burton. There's a couple of things that says, you
know what, this guy's got something.
Speaker 1 (09:19):
And Wishart goes to probably his more actual fourteen role.
He comes off the off the bench and scores of biblesh.
Speaker 2 (09:28):
Because the carriage that wish showed in that moment to
score that try, there's not too many small players of
competition that would have been able to do that.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
Coop, you know, along with Penris, I think the Melbourne
Storm with the best side in the competition identifying someone
and their tendencies as far as what they do in
defense an attack as well. But I'm going to show
you an example explorting it, and it's this play led
to the first try around the back and they gone
at Lachland and Lachland's you know, he's a young guy,
you know, and he goes you lack experience, He's only
(09:59):
played a handful of games. And the golden rule, coop.
As you know, in defense, the golden rule is you
do not slide until the ball goes past you. And
you watch months to hear and you can see Galvin
sitting there and he desperately wants to save the potential
four on three on the outside and he will waits
months to just delays it just enough.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
Train spotting stuff. This is what makes Cameron Munster very
very good because Preston and kick Out have a trait
where they like to wipe out the halves. What Monster
does is he gets to a position, lets Preston come
and wipe himself out. And the timing intent from Chen
on the inside shoulder of Galvin puts him in that
awkward position. So some ballplayers overplay it. Watch this Monthster
(10:41):
will get there and once he gets to Preston, he
stops and squares up and allows Preston to lean in.
He does yet and that makes the play. Yes it's
great time, and yes they're targeting Galvin, but they know
that they're Bulldog's back rollers pressure halves heavily.
Speaker 1 (10:55):
Could we just have a look at that again? Right
and watch Monster here right on sweep shapes. A lot
of times ball players will run and rush theirselves. Him
just bog trotting. So he's inviting Preston get me.
Speaker 2 (11:07):
He's the bait. He's the bait, just tempo ball playing,
drifting across and as soon as Preston comes, he knows
he's got Galvin hook.
Speaker 1 (11:15):
What do you think Toby Sexton when he went onto
the field reward for Toby Sexton because got every right
to throw. He's to blow up through the toys out
of cot. But the way he's conducted himself, through his
class and calmer, you know he's back into the football side.
And I will say this, everyone started to assume their
natural roles. I thought Galvin looked far more comfortable than
(11:36):
the sixth, which we've always said he's a six.
Speaker 2 (11:39):
How funny is the storylines in our game.
Speaker 1 (11:41):
It's incredible.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
Sexting comes on first touch, score, first touch, second touch,
show and go almost scores, and then him and Galvin
comblined for the try. Look at the wrong time here.
The Dogs are getting injuries they can't afford to have.
They I don't want to write them off, but without
Stephen krist their long shot of doing anything in this competition. Naturally.
(12:05):
I think for the Dogs to win a big game
in September, they need Burton in six, That's what I think.
But with the outside backs going down, I think he
has to play at in the sentence, so Sexton and
Galvin there. If I'm Seraldo this week, and I know
that Galvin's going to be targeted because the Peneth know
(12:25):
him inside out. Cherry comes back in the side. You
partner him next to Sexton, you put Burton next to Galvin,
and you come up with a watertight defensive game plan
to stop Nathan Cleary and Cooper.
Speaker 1 (12:38):
I actually think their defense has been good.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
If they need to double down on it again, yep, right,
they beat They lost to Penrith a few weeks ago,
it was eight six or ten. They need that again.
They can't score twenty points and beat Penrith.
Speaker 1 (12:51):
Because you look at the first half, right, Melbourne pour
and throw them in the around the rock. So they're
winning the artist game. Their defense is very good, I
must in their own quarter. Their own quarter defense is
very very strong. Given the fact that Melbourne clearly won
the artist battle, you're going at a half time they're
only down eight points to six, and the score flattered them.
(13:12):
But it was a byproduct of digging in defensively. They've
just got to talk about, you know, like I mean,
it's an obvious thing, in a boring thing to talk about.
Just eliminate the errors or cut down on the ras.
Speaker 2 (13:23):
Well, they halfway through the year they are the best
defensive team in the comp Then they thought if they
want to win the Grand Final, they need to add
a little bit of spark to their attack. Well, they
need to go back to their basic principles. If they
want to win this weekend, they need to be the
best defensive team in the competition. So I'm not sure
who's available, but pick your best defensive team and beat
(13:46):
Penrith twelve ten. Yeah, don't they're not going to score.
Speaker 1 (13:49):
Points, that's right. Go in with the mindset as we're
going for nil all drawn.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
And if you can kick a field goal and the
seventh do it, do it.
Speaker 1 (13:57):
Well. We'll talk about kick out for a second because
I just don't think they used him enough and he
had Jonah on him a little bit, and I mean
kickout doesn't matter who's marking kickout. Blake could be six
foot and one hundred kol Ais is going to be
a handful. But they just did a nice lad him enough.
When we spoke about Toby Session's first try, but this
is an example just getting kickout one on one with
the edge and something happens four chulders yep, for sure.
(14:20):
But there was another one the third Bulldogs try that
they did what we talk about all the time. They
shot shot shot shot mentality. They work to the middle,
they take the ball to the edge to the other
redst to gather numbers, and this is where they go.
And again it's kickout's presence, like you know that really
unsettles green Anderson.
Speaker 2 (14:37):
So just to explain presence, the fact that kickout is
what let's call him one hundred and fifteen kilrams up
against Jonah Peasant Grant Anderson, if that is just a
back rower at one hundred kegs, Green Anderson takes a
meter and stands there on Matt Burton. But the fact
it's kickout, it slightly turns his shoulders in holds his
edge bit nerve because it has to get involved with this.
(15:00):
And then the pass comes to Burnon and he's half
a meter away from it. That's all it is like
when it comes down to moments, the presence of kickout,
if it is going to happen this weekend and they win,
just come up with something where kickou is everywhere, and
he might just come up with a player, you know,
you know.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
In football sometimes I just want to use this example,
is that something can happen in a game like way
way back, you know, three or four minutes even earlier,
just a tiny little thing. But what happens. It's almost
to look the pebble in the pond and everything, all
the reverberations happen. And you look at the dogs second
try as an example. They're playing a yardage a simple
yardage game, and they're straying a little bit in the yardage.
(15:37):
But Keraz, right, Keraz just dips behind, sticks his nose through,
gets to quick play the ball suddenly until he backs
backs it up, and the halves are suddenly saying, hang
on a pat from doing a yardage hit, we're in
a position for an attacking kick. Here goes up. They
force the error for Mooni, they get the scrum food
and in that next set of six they score. Now
(16:00):
that all stems from that run from Jacob kras and.
Speaker 2 (16:05):
We're going to give Monthster a rap for his ballplayer.
Galvin did a really good job. That got start defender
and squared.
Speaker 1 (16:10):
Up talking about Penriths possibly won the battle of physicality,
but Panthers won the battle of smarts because of course,
of the seven.
Speaker 2 (16:23):
If if the Warriors had Nathan Clear on their side,
they won that game. Like Penrith is now sitting in
a rails run, just waiting for the home straight to come.
Speaker 1 (16:36):
Like everything's forming incredible.
Speaker 2 (16:39):
I really like what Fisher Harrison Leoda did. Like respect
to those two guys, they're good mates, but they went
at each other early on. Fisher Harrison inspired those other
forwards to play to a really level that they haven't
played all year. And the point of difference. The thing
that Penrith did that won them the game is the
moment in the second half it was well eight and
(17:00):
the game was in the balance, Dylan Edwards come up
with a huge play save the forty twenty, slid across
the ground, caught the ball, throw it back over his shoulder,
kept the ball in playing. Alamotti did a similar thing
where he caught the ball, got out of the ingle.
Just every little inch added to Nathan Cleary kicking that
ball and Casey McClain going to score.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
Yeah, people said lucky bounce to the ball, but it
stems from the hard work.
Speaker 2 (17:25):
If that forty twenty goes out, the Warriors are in
a position to tick over the school board. If Alamotte
gets in the ing goal, maybe the Warriors score a try.
The other player that I will highlight is he's obviously
missed the September at the moment, but Nathan Cleary's kicking game,
like to give some insights, it bucketed down just before
kickoff and the win was up, and about all he
(17:48):
did was went into the game controlling. Okay, if we
defend well, the Warriors don't have a lot of attacking options.
I can win this game with my kicking game.
Speaker 1 (17:56):
Yep.
Speaker 2 (17:57):
Knowing that the early kicks on the ground, skidding to
lost the wet ground, making it really difficult for the Warriors,
just repeat, set up the repeats, the pressure and then
when he had a dropout, he's just rifling along the
ground instead of kicking in the air. Yeah, like it's
just footy IQ through the roof.
Speaker 1 (18:15):
Certainly his coops like what should have And I saw
it in the final series last year. He's his bounce.
What a blood dri of a bounce. But watching the
final series, you know, Coop, I reckon. Just about the
biggest sin in finals football is giving away a seven
tackles set. Over the course of this week one, I
(18:37):
think there's probably six seven seven tackle sets given away.
I reckon. There was four tries off them and happens
to the best of them. You'll see Nathan Cleary. Like
Nathan Cleary which led to the Warriors try. He went
down down right hand side, kicked it. It just went dribble,
dribbled a little bit too far. They go down the
other end side the wars like a Jala semi scores.
Speaker 2 (18:59):
Halfback's minds when you catch the ball and kick return
and you get tackled, your fullball gets tackled inside twenty
a halfback is thinking, let's just get out of here
and kick the ball back. When there's a seven tackle
set that happens, you're thinking, what's my attacking kick at
the end of this. So while it's twenty meters and
doesn't look like it's a big thing, it ends up
being a big thing for the next five minutes because
(19:20):
I've gone from just staying the grind and kicking the
ball back to thinking, okay, I can now start with
an attacking kick and I might be able to come
up with some points.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
If Penrith just do two things for the rest of
this season, If they just defend well and in yardage
regularly get Nathan to attacking kick positions, I don't know
who beats them.
Speaker 2 (19:40):
Yeah, that's a good point. I think Melbourne can go
with them. But it's a very good point.
Speaker 1 (19:46):
Warri is season out of ten. It was an injury.
It was a season that was really knocked around with
injuries the back half. I've gone seven and a half
out of ten. I thought, given all things considered, I
was tempted to give them an eight, but seven a
half out of ten.
Speaker 2 (19:58):
I think they're a better team doing something more in
this competition. If they've got metcal from Bunan, no doubt.
I think they're still.
Speaker 1 (20:04):
Playing best player. I've got Halisma, Halasma, Aaron Clark, Yeah,
clip for you, right, very very good roosters, sharkis coops.
What are the roosters where they get it wrong?
Speaker 2 (20:17):
Well, second half errors put themselves under pressure and then
just their attack in key moments two sideways. We're just
spoken about playing arrow, straight and direct, engaging defenders. They
were just finessing the ball, trying to go around and
in a close contest. To go into the game with
Mark Nawongan Taso and Daniel Tupo on the wings, even
(20:39):
if you're not playing well fit tackle kick it in
the best position for one of them to do their things.
So I thought the Sharks, and to be fair the
Rooster's falls. It was a great physical battle, like they
were at each other for the majority of it. The
point of difference in the game was Trindle, Like when
they got the attacking possession five minutes four half time,
(21:00):
Trindle used his speed and footwork, evaded a couple of
defenders and picked up the right option. That ended up
being the difference in the air.
Speaker 1 (21:07):
I think they are The Sharks are playing the best
football they ever have under craigfits Given it's all about timing.
It's about eight from nine now really crept up on us.
Speaker 2 (21:16):
But they're also doing like we talk about Nathan. All
they need to do is defend well and give them
a good kicking game. Their forwards are playing well. The
Sharks they are playing really.
Speaker 1 (21:26):
Well, assisted well by Ronaldo and Katoa.
Speaker 2 (21:29):
I was just about to say so they back ended
in terms of the forward pack and the back three
doing a good job. They just need to find that
spark with a spine to deliver the knockout blow. And
to be honest, like sitting here now without knowing what
happens throughout the week, I have them beating the Raiders.
Speaker 1 (21:46):
Yeah, well we'll do the preview and see don't get
ahead of your side. Sorry, a bit of train spotting stuff.
And we spoke before about you know that. We talk
often about shot shot and it's about gathering numbers booth
to the honeypot, making them short and vulnerable on the
far edge. Similar one when you attack right up close
to the line. You'll see Talakai here. This is interesting
and not enough sides take advantage of it. Right he's
(22:08):
brought down inches to the line in around the patent.
Look at how many defenders get around They've got to
be short somewhere. They're short on either edge in that situation.
Just get to the ball, get the ball to the
edge as quick as you can.
Speaker 2 (22:20):
And Rob Toyer felt under pressure, flew out of line
and that's all Trindle need to do is just to
evade him.
Speaker 1 (22:26):
Slightly if mat again. You know people talk about it
so hard to attack near the line, but that's how
you do it. Just drive someone in close around the
post and get the ball to the edge with no fuss.
Speaker 2 (22:36):
And Brayley he should be given a try assist for
that short pass of Talakai. He then set out the
match winner for Rudolph. So like he knows that if
those forwards are dominating, that Braley's got the skills to
take advantage of that.
Speaker 1 (22:49):
Who rooster season what he given out of ten.
Speaker 2 (22:53):
Started slow, picked up some momentum, playing their best foot
at the back end of the year on you give
them a seven. Yeah, I think they did a good
job to get where they were, but I think they
just laid the foundations for the next premiership. Rob Toyer,
Mark Norgan, Savala, Blake steep.
Speaker 1 (23:12):
Wong still an announcement. Honestly, it's just like it's like
the young and the restless.
Speaker 2 (23:22):
One of the funniest things you've ever said. Actually, I'll
give you ticks for that low bar to be fair,
but they blooded some young guys that just might be
part of the next premiership.
Speaker 1 (23:30):
And looks shout out to Hugo Svala to excellent fine Rudder, Raiders, Sharks,
Judo Stadium coops.
Speaker 2 (23:40):
I'm going to hit you between the eyes. Raiders bounce
back from this.
Speaker 1 (23:44):
Oh they can't. I'll say this, well, they're underfooted at
night football in Canberra this year?
Speaker 2 (23:50):
Can they will?
Speaker 1 (23:55):
I think they'll win. I think Ricky will find the
find a way to get them up emotionally and mentally
to win. If that at home, if it was if
it was it was a check part, I gat I
think this would be really really close. I just lean
to the Raiders.
Speaker 2 (24:12):
If the Raiders do win, Ricky Stewart has his fingerprints
all over and it's what he does from Monday to
Friday to get that team back up.
Speaker 1 (24:20):
Well, you said last week, Coeps, you said, you said
you're a little bit worried about the Raiders last week,
and you said, my concern is if they get beat
week one, they get beat week two and they just
get bundled out. What do you think?
Speaker 2 (24:32):
I just feel like young group, super exciting, great to watch,
and when everything goes their way, there are hard to
beat team. And they've won back end of games like
against Penreth and Mudgie and the Sharks that near where
they've grinded away and almost got on the on the weekend.
But that's the physical side. There's a mental, there's a
(24:53):
spiritual After everything they went through this year to get
to that moment and just had that balloon popped, it's
going to take a hell of a resilient team to
back back up against the Sharks. And if I'm back
in one. I think the Sharks win. I do not
because they've got a better list or better players. I
just feel like this is a big, big sort of
(25:16):
shot in the face for the Raiders to bounce back.
Speaker 1 (25:18):
From Sunday Day Football. Sunday Afternoon could be every bit
as dramatic as yesterday. Hold out a corp so court
Dogs versus Panthers give me the tail of the type.
Speaker 2 (25:32):
So Ivean and Nathan know Soreldo. Soreldo knows Penrith. They
both defend exactly the same in terms of their system
and things like that. I think the Panthers win this,
and if the Dogs win it, it's going to win.
As I said before, ten eight off the best defensive
performance we have ever seen. Now, if I'm Soreldo, I'd
go look at Origin Game three and see how Queensland
(25:54):
stop Nathan and I would come up with a game
plan to stop him. If they can do that, there
are chance. If they can't, Pan will go through to
another Prilim final.
Speaker 1 (26:04):
Well, I'll tell you something that the Panthers are going
to have to be on because you're going to have
a You're going to have a bipartisan crowd, You're going
to have a huge crowd right behind the dogs, and
the dogs will go in and I'm like, I'm sure
they've got something to lose, but they're going to go
in with a nothing to lose underdog mentality, which suits
(26:24):
that class.
Speaker 2 (26:25):
So we've got two good defensive teams, both know each
other inside out. Good coach and Serudo good coach and
Ivan Cleary come up with a game plan to dissect
a good defensive team. I'm back in Nathan Cleary to
execute that game plan over Lachlan Galvin or Toby six.
That's that's where it sits for me.
Speaker 1 (26:43):
Yeah, good one coops, same bad time, same bat channel,
next work
