Speaker 1 (00:01):
Coop's dogs yesterday. It was the type of victory they needed.
It was a really tough game, but maybe their attack
was fantastic. You can see those new combinations to start
the form.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
Yeah, running the ball too, it was almost like they
were told to run the football. Their ballplaying needs to evolve,
both Galvin and Matt Burton. But when Burton runs the ball,
Jesus is hard to stop. When you think about some
of the big body five eighths like yourself that we've
had through the competition. When they run the ball like
it's dynamic and it creates chaos and quick play the

(00:32):
ball momentum.

Speaker 3 (00:33):
Jeez, he was good.

Speaker 1 (00:35):
It's the best performance I was seeing from Burton in.

Speaker 4 (00:37):
The six Jersey. I thought he's really found his game,
really found.

Speaker 1 (00:42):
He's learnt how to integrate his ball playing with his
running game, vary it.

Speaker 3 (00:45):
And managing the game too.

Speaker 2 (00:47):
Like he probably came in early on as just a
pure footy player running the ball, kicking the ball, but
now he's making good decisions leading the team around like
he's Jesus evolving the hell of a player.

Speaker 4 (00:58):
Coop.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
During that difficult period, those couple of weeks where everyone
was looking at dogscalt geez going backwards here, and everyone
was pointing to Locklan Galvin situation. A tea blake they
missed dearly and yesterday we saw her in his return.

Speaker 4 (01:12):
What a difference you make, is Bronze and Cherry mate
he is.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
He's a powerhouse in yardage and finishing all this Like honestly,
when he takes the ball in yardage, he's always just
poking his nose through.

Speaker 2 (01:25):
It's one thing that Penrith have bought and everyone copies
that you need to have big outside backs. Well not big,
you just need ones that get the yardage and quick playaballs.
The dogs have done it through Karaz. You know what
kind of Tracey's doing now Cherry's add into it.

Speaker 3 (01:39):
Now.

Speaker 2 (01:39):
If you've got a back five that are willing to
work hard out of their own end, but then can
set up tries, score tries one on one like, that's
exactly what they need. That's Tom ta Voivitch. That is
Tom Travoivich. He just dished there and got through here.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
Yeah, there's drags, Jacober and you look, we had a
discussion before the show and you mocked me and laughed
at me. I made the comment I said, it's starting
to become the normal unfortunately.

Speaker 4 (02:07):
Basically said for the game.

Speaker 1 (02:08):
I think that Bronson Cherry, I think in not too
distant future, I think he'd be the best center in
the game.

Speaker 4 (02:14):
I've got that big a rap on it. I just
love what he does. He's not the best center at
the club, for no, he's not at the moment.

Speaker 2 (02:21):
I think Stephen Crichton has got a hell of a
lot more to go. I'm not denying that, but I
think Rob Toyer could do something the next couple of years. Like,
there's some guys in our competition very very good.

Speaker 1 (02:32):
What about both edges of the Bulldogs Crichton, Cherry, Villy,
Army and Jacob Preston everyone, Like it's just such a
well balanced.

Speaker 2 (02:41):
There was a couple of moments and yesterday's game where
they went left. It was either kick out one on
one with Cherry Evans Cherry Bronze and Cherry did his thing.
Burton was running the ball, but you go to the
right hand side and Galvin didn't overplay his hand out
the back to kind of.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
Tracey set up a try.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
Like there's just a couple of things that says that
they can go both sides, and you need if you're
going to win the competition, you can't be heavily weighted
into one thing. Now that they've got multiple avenues to
go get the ball of Stephen Crime and get the
ball of bronze and cherry and you will score.

Speaker 4 (03:10):
On those edges.

Speaker 1 (03:11):
Here some of the touches yesterday of Stephen Crichton quick
hands on one stage, kind of Tracy ball in the
line just banbang strect to.

Speaker 2 (03:21):
It's a skill now in the game that catch pass
with hardly ever touching the football that you must have.
You cannot play the NRL at that level if you
don't have that.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
In you, Kip Coops in terms of this competition, the
big news over the course of the weekend was Jerome
Hughes the shoulder injury. When the shoulders out for that
that length of time we're talking about before the show,
that's not a good sign.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
Yeah, I think that's the case.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
The longer it's out, the harder it is to rehab
and strengthen the ligaments and everything around the muscles around it.
Like it's a big injury to come back from. Look
what Olau did, what six weeks try to come out rehabit. Yeah,
re injured the injury. I don't know if he gets
back money, I don't like, I don't do you what

(04:03):
you reckon?

Speaker 1 (04:03):
I get that sense to I get that sense. And
Belly at the press conference after was quite somber and
he sort of alluded to it. He has, you know
when that shoulders out for a long time. Now he's
done one himself. He knows what it's like. Who goes
in a big This is a big one. Tyren wish
hat naturally got the job done. They did a fantastic job.

Speaker 4 (04:24):
Or is it Jonah.

Speaker 2 (04:25):
He's a good player, Wish but I think he's so
valuable to have on the bench. I don't know if
Hughes gets back, so I think if they still want
to win the title, I think Jonah president, like pure
seven comes in, Munster's game needs to go to another level.
Harry Grant's game did in the second half. It absolutely
went for another level. You get Papenhausen back like there's

(04:48):
enough there to lead this team to the Grand Final.
But I think Jonah Besart probably needs to be a
half back material because Wishart comes on and the point
of difference he adds is different. Because they don't have
like that dynamic ball runner off the bench. He can
come on and play any position and he adds value
to put that ball playing thirteen because he's dynamic enough
to break it open a little bit.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
So and you know, eventually my initial thought was Tyrant,
but what you just said there, and the thing about
it is, if you know they're struggling a little bit
for creativity, you can put Tyron onto the field and
play him that thirteen role and alleviate a bit of
the pressure off.

Speaker 2 (05:22):
Him, because then a lot of pressure will go to Munster,
Like if you're in opposition thinking that you know Wishad
is there, a lot of focus will go to Munster,
but you need someone else to take advantag particularly with
some of the kicking as well.

Speaker 1 (05:34):
If Jerome is ruled out for you know, if tomorrow
they said, look we're got a new surgery for the
rest of the year, Should the Storm remain favorites?

Speaker 2 (05:45):
I had them clear favorites with him available. I think
they are still in the top one of betting, but
I think other teams sit alongside them they come back
to the field.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
There's no doubt about that.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
Who should should Raiders be favorites or do you think
that all of a sudden, like a motive coming along Penrith.

Speaker 2 (06:01):
Yeah, look, I can understand why people would be saying Penrith.
I still feel like their energy tank could be zapped
at any stage. It could just be, you know, the
ejection button hitting pretty quick storm. For me, I really
love the confidence that the Raiders are playing with. I
do have a worry that they're going to get the

(06:22):
prelim final day and I'm not bright lights or anything
like that, but I just hope that doesn't happen. The Dogs.
I think defensively they can. They scored forty points.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
Against mainly, but mainly aren't an elite.

Speaker 2 (06:35):
Defensive team, right, So I think defensively they can be
an opposition or logs. I just don't know about their
attack stopping sort of Penrith or anything like that.

Speaker 1 (06:44):
Let's a sort of talk about Penrith and their progression.
Talk about a bit of them here. One of the
things I really like is I saw it last week
and Schneider was in the seven, and of course Nathan
comes in this week. Everyone's in their right spots. Suddenly
their attack is really synchronized again. Was it trivic try
where you see Nathan plays really tight one under two
hundreds out the back to blaze. Blaze catches it here.

(07:07):
This is an example. Everyone's perfectly synchronized.

Speaker 3 (07:09):
So that's a beautiful pass.

Speaker 4 (07:11):
No great pass.

Speaker 3 (07:12):
The meter or half.

Speaker 2 (07:14):
A meter that Jenkins needs to put the ball down
is everything that Nathan does here, the time and intent
this blaze pass that that is that's phenomenal.

Speaker 1 (07:22):
A question there, Coops, is that is that pass a
preemptive pass or do you think almost in his mind's
eye he felt the winger coming outside of him.

Speaker 3 (07:34):
No, he's gone into the line.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
Realize that Nathan clear went deeper and he just if
Nathan's pass is half a centimeter higher or lower, he
doesn't get that pass. The fact that it hit he
was able to catch it on the same plane and
get it across. The thing about Penriths attack that I like,
and people will say this whole you know, there's structure
and system versus I'll play with freedom and eyes up.

(07:56):
The one thing that Penrith when they got in trouble
was it was predictable and slow. Now all of a
sudden they play the bull. Speed is quicker and their
passes are senting me to perfect every time, and the
fact that it is predictable teams can still not stop it.

Speaker 1 (08:11):
I love their attitude Penriuth too. I thought at the
start of the year they can. Course, it's a very
complex attack. Oftentimes it does get a little bit too sideways,
but on the weekend in the last couple of weeks,
the short passing, the attitude they're going to play through
an opposition, not around it. We've got a few cuts
here of a working and you know there's one of
the ones I really enjoy with a couple of times

(08:32):
they throw a longish pass and then on the end
of that it's really short passing beautiful. I mean, that's
example there, tried Lindsay Smith playing through the opposition, not around.

Speaker 2 (08:43):
So you've got Isaiah and Nathan Cleary, look another short pass.
Like when you've got two of the best ball handlers
in our game, put options inside and out them and
let them make the right decision. When they're a meet
out of sequence or not in the right hole, then
it doesn't matter if you're Nathan or yeah, not going
to come up with the right player. But Penrith ball
runners are in the right spot at the right time

(09:05):
for Nathan and to do that.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
Yeah, you know, And there's this one here right, but
it's just an example. It's you know, the realization when
he jumps, just goes right that play.

Speaker 2 (09:16):
The ball speed wasn't having twelve weeks again, I wasn't
generating it through their power running. And they're all in
the right place at the right time.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
Coops, if you're going to let's talk about my train
spotting this week, and if you're gonna if you're a
ball playering to go onto the line and you're looking
to pass short, you're got to responsibility to get your
target defender, but your ball is going to responsibility to leave.
These men hit the right half of the hole. And
I love this one here from Leam Martin. He actually
uses his footwork before the ball hits his hands. This

(09:45):
is there you go, and just that fade and that
late straight and he just leaves LOI with footwork. He
actually beats the player before the ball hits his.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
Yeah, we've seen centers do the out ball and then
cut back in sometimes that Nathan got to the exact
right defender, and that's Jeron Lewie. It's a guy who
knows exactly what's coming. The fact that it looked like
he was going to run to the outside shoulder of
Lewis and cut straight back in on the pass.

Speaker 3 (10:13):
That was a good ball. That was one of the
better tries I saw.

Speaker 4 (10:16):
Watching Nathan yesterday, Coops. It was like one thing.

Speaker 1 (10:19):
The bloke you played alongside Cameron Smith and he just
mosey around Smithy sometimes and it was like he's pulsing
everyone above sixty boots.

Speaker 4 (10:28):
That was Nathan yesterday. I was watching Nathan the times
and he.

Speaker 1 (10:31):
Was actually there were times that he was putting the
hammer down a little bit, but most of the time
he was just cruising around, barely broke sweat.

Speaker 2 (10:37):
Yeah, they try to kick for tungl the memorane kick
right he sat there and it felt like he was
there for twelve seconds holding the ball, rotating around and
just guide it through like that was the amount of
rotations that had to spin away from the goal.

Speaker 3 (10:52):
I beat Lewis and for Tungula to get there, very impressive.

Speaker 1 (10:56):
The bloke who we didn't talk a lot about coming
out of this game, but it was again phenomenal and
he flies under the radar just because he does it
every single week.

Speaker 3 (11:06):
Is Dylan Edwards.

Speaker 4 (11:08):
No, I'm talking about his performance.

Speaker 1 (11:10):
Like yesterday we weren't talking like what we should have
been talking about was going, mate, what's about Dylan Edwards.

Speaker 4 (11:16):
But we're so used to him doing.

Speaker 3 (11:17):
This, it's almost the standard week.

Speaker 1 (11:20):
So I said to producer Scott. He said, mate, just
cut up all the touches. Unfortunately it nearly went for
It was about four and a half minutes. So we're
just showing all his touches in the first half, right,
and the amount of work he gets through and you'll
see it with him, the amount of work he does
in yardage and again just is a short ball plant again,
but he's just always poking his nose through. I think

(11:42):
the term and the U blokes use it all the
time at Melbourne's the cohop word relentless.

Speaker 4 (11:47):
He just can't be discouraged.

Speaker 2 (11:49):
He looks fitter, he looks like he's moving so much
better than what he was in the early part of
I think it was like a quarter of groin injury
that he had.

Speaker 3 (11:58):
He just looked a bit slow.

Speaker 2 (11:59):
But now you know last two weeks, his performance last
week without clear and Yo, it was phenomen like thirty
carries three hundred meters two tries like he did it
all and he's done it again here. Just so reliable.
And it's one of the things that Nathan probably and
Ivan love coaching him is you just know what you're
going to get. And when you're a gun half back,
if you know what you're going to get from your

(12:20):
full back, it makes your job so much easier.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
And what a difference you know when you when you
see when they kick down field and you've got Edwards
on one, on two, oftentimes Edwards on three, there might
be able to claim on four and you can understand
then why they're able to grind a side down their
forwards because they just take so much pressure off.

Speaker 3 (12:39):
I'll give you a good example.

Speaker 2 (12:41):
I was the same with Cameron Smith, so I didn't
really have to worry about players one to three because
I knew it was under control.

Speaker 3 (12:47):
With Karen, he would take.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
Us to the field position, he could do whatever he
wants to get there, and I could start looking at
the outside defense. Okay, that wing is moving up, this
one's not. So I had an idea what my kick
option was going to be, and then when I get
the ball, I'm in the first spot for the back
roller or billy to be around. So there's a there's
a freedom in allowing people to do their job and
when they do it at the highest level, like Dellan
Edwards as a half back, it helps.

Speaker 3 (13:10):
And the other thing is Isaiah but he does the
same thing for Nathan.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
So he's got this two pronged take where he knows
he can just let you know, plays one and two go.

Speaker 3 (13:18):
He knows he can start thinking plays four.

Speaker 4 (13:20):
Jesus what coeps.

Speaker 1 (13:21):
There's been some amazing coaching performances this year.

Speaker 4 (13:24):
Ricky Stewart, who's.

Speaker 1 (13:25):
Read hot favorite coach of the Year, Cameron Seralda. His
side continues to merge and develop. Ivan Cleary. You know,
if they snatch his premiership, given how much he's had
to manage this run in, it might be his crowning glory.

Speaker 3 (13:40):
They say they're on d M Night and he's in
the Grand final team.

Speaker 4 (13:43):
Again, He's never won the Coach of the Year.

Speaker 1 (13:47):
Someone hates him as buggy buzz but and then a blake.
We don't think about a lot, but we've started talking
about him.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
Jason Rowles, Well, I think Ricky is a shoe in.
That's my personal opinion, but I agree with Jason Rolls.

Speaker 1 (13:59):
Chief what a job what he has had that much
to deal with. And you could at the start of
the season Coop. Now, that first third of the year
when he had no Mitchell Moses, they were getting some floggins.
He was having to blood more and more young blakes
every week. You could see the strain. But my god,
they've turned it around.

Speaker 2 (14:17):
It looked like it was going to be a really
hard year the first month, but done a really good job.
And I think there's not too many players in the
competition that completely changed the chances of their team.

Speaker 3 (14:29):
Mitchell Moses one of them. They are.

Speaker 2 (14:33):
Fifteen points sixteen point better team with him at halfback.
Both sides of the ball won. I think they're more
disciplined offensively because of his communication and in the attack.
It's obvious they're just everywhere they need to be because
he's core on the players good.

Speaker 3 (14:48):
It's just a.

Speaker 1 (14:48):
Confidence he's I mean, he's always been a kid who's
had that healthy arrogance. The great players have got to
have that healthy arrogance, you know. And he's a bit
of straight about him, but deservedly so.

Speaker 3 (15:00):
He's kicking game has gone on another level.

Speaker 4 (15:02):
What about it it would talk about he's kicking, yep.

Speaker 2 (15:04):
So I just like the fact that here just different stages.
He gets the ball here and he realizes that he.

Speaker 3 (15:11):
Wants to kick the ball. He just gets pushed in.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
There's pressure, but Lomax is actually quite free on the outside,
so he goes in the line as it plays on
and it's pressured. He thought the kick was on through
the back right the next play he gets it. He
gets out of the back and he's kicking first time
every time he watched the space here. He knows that
Carapane has come up and that play is on an
absolute dime. So what he's done, he's taken a mental

(15:36):
note in a few moments, gone, you know what, Lomax
was free.

Speaker 3 (15:39):
I should have played over it.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
Next time. I'm coming down here. I'm doing this. This
was just before halftime. This is the play after halftime.
So he's just gone the kick. He's gone, okay, I'm
going to go set it up again, and he.

Speaker 3 (15:50):
Gets the ball.

Speaker 2 (15:50):
He looks and realize that Carapine he sat back now
because Lomax is a threat to kick, So he goes,
you know what, I'm going to pull out the other
play and hits well Will Pennison on an out ball
and takes advantage of the wing of being stepped back.
That is the level that every halfback needs to get
to to take mental notes early in the game to
then take advantage of it late. I thought it was

(16:12):
a stunning and you think about how close that game was.
Mitchell Moses just nailed it.

Speaker 1 (16:18):
Dylan Walker has been an exceptional pickup. When we're talking
about the strain he was under at the start of
the year, they just couldn't get their attack going. But
when they bought him from the Warriors, the moment he
went on that field and started operating through the middles
of thirteen, everything changed.

Speaker 2 (16:34):
There's only one iao, but I'll tell you what, Dylan
was doing a very good job. He can get a
little bit too pass happy, in my opinion. I think
he's big enough body to run first and then pass.
But this is a guy that he played for New
South Wales Australia the centers. He's now moved into the
middle of the field and playing his best foot.

Speaker 1 (16:52):
He played great play, played very very well at the
Warriors surprise when they allowed him to go on that
on best sign of the season.

Speaker 4 (17:01):
I've got Dylan Walker is one of them.

Speaker 1 (17:02):
The other two I've got Adam Vaniel Blake and oftentimes
you know we're looking at We're still really waiting for
the Sharks to hit their stretch. We thought they were
about to and a little step back on the weekend
against Sous But again, every time he gets the ball,
he's just he's just poking his nose through. I've gone
James Fisher Harris just on the back of you know,

(17:22):
he's giving Andrew Webster what he was after, and that's
presence and leadership.

Speaker 2 (17:27):
I only put you on the spot who won that?
By Fisher Harris or Adam Vanila Blake. You have to
choose one of them.

Speaker 4 (17:34):
I think of them.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
It's that that's so hard if you go on on
purely on yardage, no overall.

Speaker 2 (17:41):
Pack like everything. Who's won that deal? So Fanel Blake
leaves and Fisher Harris comes in.

Speaker 1 (17:47):
It's hard coeps. It's almost if I watch with just
watched with soft eyes, and I don't And I've got
no understanding about what James Fisher Harris does off the
film gives I say, I say Adams or Blake Barfield performance.

Speaker 2 (18:00):
Fanilla Blake has more impact on a game. But I'll
tell you what I think, James Fisher Harris wins that
trade because the next forward that we're all going to
marve Latin in New Zealand will come through in four
years time because of the example of Fisher Harris. Pla
seriously like he is doing things that because of the
example of Fisher Harris. So I've got Fisher Harris's my

(18:21):
number one.

Speaker 1 (18:22):
Leo Thompson And I think I've said this be from
the show the big turnaround his career. He's this young
guy coming through at Newcastle. Maybe he wasn't coming I
as quick as they thought. Goes into mariol Star camp
rooms with James Fisher Harris and they say, comes back
to Newcastle completely different bloke.

Speaker 4 (18:41):
Yep, that's great, we're talking.

Speaker 2 (18:43):
So I've got Fisher Harris as well. I think Blaze
t to Lungy has been a big pick up. Like
I like what Ivan's done with his sort of trajectory.
Didn't pick him for the first bit, needed to improve
in a lot of the errors. And then his running
mate Nathan Clear is just towards his ballplaying and running game.
Like he's doing things that Nathan I can see in

(19:05):
his performances have been coached by Nathan, So I think
blade Slungi's up there, and I'm going to put Shubasaki
in from where he's come from to what he's doing
now like phenomenal. There's a couple of really good buyers,
but there are no doubt.

Speaker 3 (19:28):
Making the Broncos.

Speaker 4 (19:30):
I think.

Speaker 1 (19:31):
I think there's a lot of a lot of areas,
you know, the willingness to not get frustrated and try
to blow size away and willing to sort of sit
in that arm wrest a little bit longer. I think,
just purely from a tag point of view, is I
think they're playing too much half field football like he's
working into the middle.

Speaker 4 (19:48):
I don't think.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
I think the Broncos are a team that can play
a little bit of structured football, but.

Speaker 4 (19:54):
Only to penetrate past the scrumline.

Speaker 1 (19:56):
It's all you know, working away, work your little smart
little plays, but purely to gather defenders, get past the
scrumb line and open the field.

Speaker 2 (20:05):
They're trying to get res wulshon Ezra man like one
on one with space so they can use their speed
and for work.

Speaker 1 (20:12):
And coops because if you're on that long sweeping movement,
even if you aren't going to beat them in one
like we're talking about last week, it disrupts the defense
and all of a sudden, there's no float at the
back or a quick play the ball, and that's when
Ezra and re start to carve through the middle. I'll
give you an example here and ends I've been a
forward pass. But you see the difference about how much
more dangerous it appears like this here like for me,

(20:37):
they need to do They need to do more of that.

Speaker 4 (20:39):
They've got to open up the field a little bit.
You know.

Speaker 1 (20:42):
I like the structured stuff, and but as I said before,
it's a moons to an end, and I think the
structured stuff is very good to get himself past the
scrum line. But then straight away shot shot it bang,
hit them on the other side.

Speaker 4 (20:53):
Of the field.

Speaker 2 (20:53):
Rees over played his hand on that. Like when Reese
got the ball, he was outside of Hawkins, he had
speed and he could done something. So when he gets
the ball here, he's outside that three and defender. If
he hits Jesse Arthur's now it's probably a line break
down the right hand side. He's just trying to do
way too much and trying to win with every play,
and like I think about the Broncos and they're starting

(21:16):
to get frustrating because I feel like they need a
lightning bolt moment, like if they just get it together,
I think a grand final opportunities there for them. Like
I remember the analogy respulsion Billy, Like I remember, I
think there's a bit of on Adam Reynolds to wheel

(21:38):
or reel him in a little bit Res Welsh. Because
the team is first and they had an opportunity doing
all the right things and playing the long game. They
come out of that second half and just start making
errors forward passes, ball on the deck and it gave Paramatta,
who is at the bottom of the ladder, an opportunity
to stay in the game. If they had have just
put the foot down in the first five or ten minutes,

(21:58):
I think Brisbane win by two. So I think Adam
Reynolds needs to have a strong conversation with Rues Walsh
to say listen and Ezra man as they listen, we're
a chance of doing something this year.

Speaker 3 (22:11):
Stop doing that. I'll get you in the position, but
you need to execute your.

Speaker 1 (22:14):
Player bunnies this week. And do you know what they
nearly got out of jail. That last will play with
rece system meter off site. If I am as far
as the long term, what I mean is when they
move into the finals, I think the loss will do
more or good than the win. If they have snuck
away and snuck through and scored that trial, I don't

(22:34):
know if they learn the lessons that the loss will
give them, that this loss might be the lightning belt.

Speaker 2 (22:38):
Yeah. Well, they have been having those wins where they've
gotten a way through pure talent in the last period
of time. If they win games fourteen to eight for
the next three weeks, I think that's much better than
win forty to four. Yeah, Broncos chances in September, they
were doing all the right things in the first forty minutes.
I saw the game, and they were playing, They're doing

(23:00):
high percentage plays. But then we just took a couple
of moments where they just went risk first reward and
in saying that, like Rees turned the game and almost
won it himself without footwork through the middle of trophy
Billy Walters, I'm not saying that you don't put the
Q in the rack, but it's about managing the gap
between your best and your worst and that's where when
it happens.

Speaker 1 (23:20):
Let's run through a couple of predictions and stuff just
going wrong the game at the moment, right, who plays
Grand Final day?

Speaker 3 (23:26):
Storm and Raiders?

Speaker 4 (23:27):
Okay, I'm him.

Speaker 2 (23:28):
Brisbane and Penrith are big chance and the Dogs, but
I think those two get through.

Speaker 3 (23:33):
What do you got?

Speaker 1 (23:33):
I got Storm Penrith, But here the Raiders. Yeah, if
you know what if jeromes, If Jerome's ruled out, I
go repeat of the Raiders against Panthers.

Speaker 2 (23:48):
So the Raiders one, I really liked them. And the
one question mark I have I think Ricky. I think
that forward pack off the back of twenty nineteen, those
players are still around their young outside backs just can't
get stage fright in a prelim final. Other than that,
I think she's that confident at the moment.

Speaker 1 (24:07):
Who's been three best players this year?

Speaker 2 (24:09):
So I think Tedesco will probably win the dally Am.
I think Isaiah Cartel is going to be in the
race with him, and just three performances probably.

Speaker 3 (24:19):
Won't win the Dallien.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
But in terms of like individual performances at different stages
of put camp Munster in there be tremendous.

Speaker 1 (24:25):
Yeah, I've got an Isaiah Cartower, Tedesco and Kaya Weeks.
I sort of have them play together, hard to split with.
And I've got to mention Harry Grant again. Harry is
one of those blakes like Dylan Edwards, where you just go, well,
you're just expect him to be excellent.

Speaker 4 (24:41):
Just a couple of quick ones.

Speaker 1 (24:42):
Coop three most underrated players this seon.

Speaker 2 (24:44):
Conn of tra see Tom Starlin, Josh King tremendous this year.

Speaker 1 (24:48):
I've got Nick Meanie, Zach Hosking, and I've got Cape Will.
I know he's played Origin and everything, but his contribution
I think continues to be understated. Made long list of
next Coach Up candidates. Willie Peters, played Greend Kevy, Demitra,
Walker Brothers, Josh Hannay. If it's a coach's draft, who's
the number one pick.

Speaker 3 (25:08):
Billy has a big rap here in publicly speak about
what Josh han has done at Origin.

Speaker 2 (25:12):
I think, I think and Fitz givens a good example
for how to go about coaching.

Speaker 1 (25:16):
So that's my understanding is some of the some of
the raps that Billy has given Josh Hanna have been enormous,
saying that you know, he doesn't win that State of
Origin series without Josh, I think he's next coach up.
I think at the moment it's very very interesting to
see what's going to happen with teams like particularly Newcastle
on the Gold Coast, because I reckon both of those

(25:38):
clubs have got their eye on him.

Speaker 4 (25:40):
It's just who jumps.

Speaker 2 (25:41):
Who jumps first of all, the trigger to gain the
guy they want. Who you got, who's your coaching camp?

Speaker 1 (25:46):
I've gone, I've gone Josh Hannay. I think Willie Peters.
You know, there's a real opportunity for someone to give
a crack to the Walker brothers and the way they
play totally different style.

Speaker 4 (25:56):
I'm always a big fan of, you know.

Speaker 1 (26:00):
Teams not trying to play diet Melbourne having their own
style of football.

Speaker 4 (26:03):
They would deliver that. So yeah, but I opened Hannay's
my number one.

Speaker 1 (26:07):
I hoping Hannay's he's the next one. Really made good one.

Speaker 3 (26:14):

Speaker 2 (26:17):
