Empowered To Do the Works of Jesus

Speaking the truths concerning Jesus and His Kingdom takes great courage because they are strikingly counterculture to this world’s lies and ways. Doing the works of Jesus are also controversial and upsetting for similar reasons. To do the works of Jesus, we all need something to give us courage and something to give us power to accomplish the mandate “…to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you (Matthew 28:19-20).” That something is the third person of the Trinity; the Holy Spirit.
