(00:00):
Good morning, good evening, goodafternoon, whenever the case may be.
This is Mike and this isday two of Nap Pod Pomo
2023. Uh, officially episode 3 89.
And let's see, we're gonna make thislike a captain's log start eight
(00:21):
November 2nd, 2023. Anyway,
so I'm still recoveringfrom shoulder surgery. Uh,
just about a week ago I had, uh,
rotor cuff repair and still in the sling.
I'll be in the sling for thenext five weeks at least.
(00:44):
Uh, it's getting better. Idon't, uh, you know, the pain is,
is pretty much gone unless I move wrong.
And so that's been going pretty good. Uh,
got off all the good drugsand, uh, now just, uh,
just on some Tylenol andibuprofen, that kind of stuff.
(01:05):
Uh, it's a little challengingto work on the computer. Uh,
I can't really use the keyboard thatmuch. Uh, I can put the desk down,
you know, pretty low.
I've got one of those lift desksand I can do it for short bursts.
But, uh, and most of the timeI'm, uh, doing talk typing and,
(01:27):
uh, I've got a track pad, amagic track pad on my left side,
my right shoulder, and it's working.
I'm able to talk on the phone, obviously, and all that, but,
uh, yeah, it's been going pretty good.Woke up this morning to the first,
(01:47):
uh, snow on the ground and it's,
yeah, it's, it's snow .I guess it's that time of year.
Uh, the other night,uh, on, uh, Halloween,
they, you know, they were out trickor treating and it was light snow.
But this is the first time I'vegot up and seen snow covering the,
(02:10):
the vehicles in the drivewayand the roof on the garage and
whatnot. Not much on the ground itself,
but on stuff around it.It's, it's definitely, uh,
it's definitely winter, but it'sup 34, so it won't last long.
It's supposed to be in the fiftieslater, uh, this week. So, you know,
(02:31):
we'll get back to, uh, nosnow visible, which is,
it's fine. Like I said, it's thistime of year and, uh, this year I'm,
I'm gonna get out of blowing snow
with a repaired shoulder probablyabout six months before I can
get back to 100%. Uh,hopefully get back to 100%.
(02:53):
Um, but, you know, the firstsix weeks in the sling and then.
After that physical therapy and,
and range of motion exercisesand all kinds of stuff.
And hopefully while I'm doingmy right shoulder rehab,
I can do some physical therapy on theleft shoulder so I don't have to get that
(03:14):
one done.
Although the left shoulder wouldn'tbe as big a a deal as the right,
'cause I am right-handed. So, yeah,
I'm gonna go into some other stuff, uh,you know, later this month as we go.
Uh, I wanna go through thehistory of podcasting in my world,
. So my history of podcasting,
(03:38):
it's been a while since I'vegone over that. And, uh,
of course the story might havechanged. No, not really ,
but those of you that havestuck with me through the years,
I certainly appreciate it. Andlike I said, we'll keep these, uh,
these episodes somewhat short,
although I do have a few regular episodesthat I'm gonna throw in there as well,
(03:59):
that I've been workingon. And, uh, like I said,
I'm gonna try to maybe get Jim, uh, to,to do a what's up with that with me,
and, and revisit some of theold, uh, old stuff that, that,
uh,
we've done over the yearson this particular little
humble feed from Northern
Michigan. Anyway, everybody, have agreat day. We'll see you tomorrow.
