What if pain didn’t get the final say? We sit down with Pastor Linda Budd from Rivergate Church in Tulsa to explore a simple, powerful practice that changed the atmosphere of a room—and the story of a doctor’s visit. Linda’s approach is disarmingly straightforward: take Scripture at its word, pray with clarity, and speak a concise declaration—“Jesus took the pain.” From there, we trace how dread gave way to peace, how a procedure expected to hurt became unexpectedly painless, and how testimonies multiplied when people named their pain and agreed in faith for relief.

Across this conversation, you’ll hear what “no hype, just presence” looks like in real time. Linda breaks down how she prays—short words, steady focus, and a readiness to measure change—and why agreement in a room can create momentum for healing. We talk about the emotional side of pain, the role of expectation, and how communities can honor both medical wisdom and faith-filled prayer without contradiction. The thread running through each moment is compassion first, then courage: identify what hurts, invite God’s mercy, and celebrate even small steps toward freedom.

If you’re skeptical, bring your questions; if you’re hopeful, bring your need. You’ll come away with practical steps to pray for yourself and others, ideas for sharing testimony responsibly, and a renewed framework for resilience. Listen to the stories, weigh the outcomes, and consider how a simple phrase might open a new chapter in your own healing journey. If this encourages you, subscribe, share it with someone who needs hope today, and leave a quick review to help others find these stories.

Linda Budd (00:00):
Hi, I'm Linda Budd.

(00:01):
I'm a pastor at Rivergate Churchin Tulsa, Oklahoma.
And I take the scripturesliterally that says that we are
to lay hands on the sick and seethem recover.
And so for several years I'vegone after a healing anointing.
I've prayed for people dozens oftimes over the years.
And I see so many get healed.

(00:23):
I've seen all manner of sicknessand disease healed.
If you have any pain in yourbody, if you're infirmed, if you
have any disease, if you haveany sickness at all, I just
reach my hand up to heaven rightnow in the name of Jesus and I
call forth the new body partthat you need.
Listen to this testimony.
Well, what do you say when Jesuscomes into the room, when he

(00:47):
comes into the house, andeverybody gets healed?

SPEAKER_01 (00:51):
Oh, it was a powerful night.
Just no hype, just presence andpower, love, just passion of the
Lord manifesting, healing oneperson after another.
It was so sweet.

Linda Budd (01:03):
I had to go to the doctor for something, and it
wasn't going to be fun.
And I was dreading it.
And all of it, and I knew thatwhat he would have to do would
be painful, and like reallypainful.
And um I was dreading it.
And I said, Lord, I'm I'm infaith.
I I know your word.
I've been quoting thescriptures, I've been praising

(01:24):
you, I've been praying, and butI'm dreading this.
And all of a sudden I heard thevoice of the Lord say, Jesus
took the pain.
And so I went to the doctor, andit was an absolute miracle.
You were there, and there wasabsolutely no pain, which is
impossible.

(01:44):
Yeah, I'm not telling you thesituation, but it was impossible
to not hear the pain.
It was supernatural.
It was absolutely a miracle ofmercy and power.
No, because he did that for me.
Well, then I'm gonna releasethat on other people.
That'd be crazy not to.

SPEAKER_01 (02:03):
Jesus took the pain.

Linda Budd (02:04):
Jesus took the pain.
So we had quite a crowd heretonight, and I just went down
the road one after another andhad people say where the pain,
physical pain is in their body, and then we just said, Jesus
took the pain, didn't we?

SPEAKER_01 (02:18):
Yeah, we did some shouting, um to God, to God,
praise or desperation, whatever.
And we saw one healing anddeliverance after another.

Linda Budd (02:28):
So one person, long-standing stuff,
long-standing, and the pain cameoff, and the people got healed,
and it was one after anotherafter another after another.
And I'll tell you, we didn'twant to leave right now.
But Jesus took the pain.
So, whatever you're suffering inyour body physically, right now,

(02:52):
in the name of Jesus, Jesus tookthe pain, and he's taken it off
of you right now, and it willnot return in the name of Jesus.
Amen.
Aren't these just greattestimonies of the goodness of
God and the healing power ofJesus Christ?

(03:12):
If you are interested in havingme come and speak at the
motivational event, your church,or a conference of some sort, I
am more than happy to considerthat invitation.
Please contact my church'soffice, Rivergate Church Tulsa,
