Hope doesn’t wait for perfect conditions; it shows up in hospital rooms, late-night services, and long drives across the state. We share a candid journey from our healing ministry at Rivergate Church, where prayer for the sick is more than a line in scripture—it’s a daily practice of showing up, laying on hands, and asking boldly for restoration. You’ll meet a young couple who drove an hour to seek help: a wife enduring relentless colitis and a veteran husband carrying pain in his elbows, shoulders, hips, and knees. Their courage illuminates the heart of faith-led healing—naming real needs, praying specifically, and standing firm even when immediate change doesn’t appear.

We talk through what to do when outcomes delay: return to the word, speak truth over your body, and keep declaring hope with patience and grit. That rhythm isn’t denial; it is discipline. Along the way, we address a quiet reality many caregivers and veterans know well—putting others first while ignoring personal pain—and how a simple invitation to receive prayer can open the door to relief. Testimonies become more than stories; they are signposts that point to what’s possible and create momentum for those still waiting.

If you’re navigating illness, chronic pain, or the weariness of long-term caregiving, you’ll find practical encouragement, honest reflection, and an open hand. We believe the power of prayer meets people where they are and can bring recovery, strength, and peace to body and soul. Listen, share with someone who needs courage today, and tell us your story. Linda Budd (00:00):
Hi, I'm Linda Budd.
I'm a pastor at RivergateChurch in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
And I take the scripturesliterally that says that we are
to lay hands on the sick and seethem recover.
And so for several years I'vegone after a healing anointing.
I've prayed for people dozensof times over the years, and I

(00:22):
see so many get healed.
I've seen all manner ofsickness and disease healed.
If you have any pain in yourbody, if you're infirmed, if you
have any disease, if you haveany sickness at all, I just
reach my hand up to heaven rightnow in the name of Jesus and I
call forth the new body partthat you need.
Listen to this testimony.

(00:43):
News about Jesus' healingpresence at Rivergate Church is
beginning to spread out farther.
A couple drove an hour awayfrom inside our state in another
part of the state to come tothe Tuesday, to the Sunday night
service.
And she just had so much wrongwith her.

(01:04):
Her body had colitis, and shewas having 30 episodes of
bleeding every day.
Her husband looked like he justwas so worried and like he just
was so defeated, and that hewas so concerned, and he was
just praying and pressing intoGod for her.
And so we began to get her anew colon in the name of Jesus.

(01:26):
And then we got him up andstarted praying for him, wanted
to pray for him, and he said,No, I don't need anything.
Well, he was a veteran, and hejust said, I just want my wife
healed and so forth.
But we said, No, what do youneed?
And well, he needed everything.
He needed elbows and shouldersand hips and knees from being in
the war.
This was a young couple, and soI I we really prayed for him,

(01:51):
and it looked like God reallytouched them both.
Well, then I got a hold of himduring the week, and she said
that nothing had happened forher, and she was still having
all the same issues.
You know, when that happens, all I can say is go back to the
word of God, speak it overyourself, declare it over
yourself, find healingscriptures and just declare and

(02:13):
declare and declare and don'tgive up.
Because the power of the Lordwas present to heal, and they
came all that way, and Jesusjust loves that.
And so I believe she is beinghealed, and I'm looking forward
to hearing from her again.
Aren't these just greattestimonies of the goodness of
God and the healing power ofJesus Christ?

(02:34):
If you are interested in havingme come and speak at a
motivational event, your church,or a conference of some sort, I
am more than happy to considerthat invitation.
Please contact my church'soffice, Rivergate Church Tulsa,
918 492 5511, and we'll see ifwe can set something up.

(02:58):
God bless you.
