Beautiful actress Lilius Landrum at one point was best known for one day making it big in Hollywood. In the 1970s and 80s, she had been featured in some of the biggest African American shows of that time such as Gimme A Break and Family Matters.  However, when Lilius' parents became ill, she decided to return to her hometown of Akron, OH where she eventually met and fell in love with Tony Rahmel Smith, and soon the two become common law husband and wife.  Things seemed to be going well for the pair until the day of April 3, 1998 when a horrific crime took place in the Fern Street duplex where Lilius and Tony lived. Lilius’ body was found lying on the basement floor and her head had been decapitated.  Lady A and DJ will take you through the grizzly details of this unnecessary, horrific murder that left a family and community in pain and confusion.  For more information on this story, please follow the links below:    Death of Lilius Landrum: https://lailasnews.com/lilius-landrum-death-how-tony-rahmel-smith-killed-lilius-landrum/  Petition Drive to Oppose Parole for Tony Smith: https://www.ohio.com/article/20130113/NEWS/301139362  Have thoughts about this story - email us @ mrg.podcast1@gmail.com.
