As for the rest of this episode of "Tiger Talk", neither Holcomb or Pelc believed Detroit still had a chance to make the playoffs, but for those who did, their hopes should have been dashed with the series lost to the Texas Rangers over the weekend. The Rangers are one of the many teams who are in the thick of the AL Wild Card race, and Texas came into Comerica Park to take three out of four.

The Tigers had little pitching to speak of before the Rangers series, but right before the weekend, the Tigers lost both starters Daniel Norris and Anibal Sanchez to injuries. It sounds like both could be out for the season. That all but puts the nail in the 2015 Detroit Tigers season.
