The lie of God's distance has masqueraded itself under many religious pretenses that seem so right but actually have their origin in paganism. 

The most fundamental truth of Christianity is the nearness of God. This truth is realized in Jesus and clearly depicted in His incarnation. The Father stepped into human skin and communicated His commitment to us even while we were still sinners. This truth is so glorious that one could spend eternity exploring its depths.
