Let's do a little reminder onCam Newton and the guy that he
was in college.
I just laid out all theaccomplishments.
Let's talk about who was aroundhim on that Auburn team.
Gene Sizzik was the head coachof the Auburn Tigers that year,
in 2009,.
Before Cam got there, they were8-5.
Cam showed up in 2010.
Auburn Tigers went 14-0, wonthe title.

In 2011, cam leaves, they goback to 8-5.
In 2012, two years afterwinning the national title, with
Cam Newton at the helm, they gothree and nine.
Gene Shizik is never a headcoach again in college football.
In that 2011 draft, on a teamthat won the national title,

they only had two first roundpicks Cam Newton went number one
and then Nick Fairley, the Dtackle, went number 13.
Auburn didn't have anotherplayer in the first round until
2014, when Greg Robinson went,who wasn't even on that national
title team with Cam Newton in2010.
And then Dee Ford, who was onthat national title team but

only started one game and barelyplayed Before Cam Newton showed
up.
They hadn't had a first roundpick since 2007.

So what I'm getting at is Camshowed up with a lame duck head
coach, mediocre talent, went14-0 and won everything.
Had the best college season asa quarterback all time.

For me, joe Burrows is rightthere.
He was sensational that year atLSU, but he also had
unbelievable talent around him.
We know Jamar Chase, justinJefferson.
We know the whole story outthere at LSU.
I hate, I hate, I hate when theoff-the-field shenanigans off

the field shenanigans the offthe field talk around some of
these living legend superstarathletes becomes bigger.
The talk around them isn'tabout the accolades and what
they accomplished.
It's more about all of theother nonsense that is being
talked about Cam Newton's hair,fighting kids at camp, getting
waved off by Shador Sanders.
That's a perfect example ofwhat we're talking about.

When Cam Newton's name isbrought up now it's starting to
lean shenanigans more than firstoverall pick, nfl MVP, heisman
winner, national championshipwinner.
Not many players have thoseaccolades in the cabinet, in the
(13:26):
cupboard, like Cam Newton.
And if you ask the youngergeneration, when you bring up
Cam Newton, start to veer thatthey're not bringing up the
Heisman and all the phenomenalaccomplishments he had
throughout his career.
Perfect example is Antonio Brown.
When Antonio Brown's name comesup, it's all negative all the
time.
Now His CTE Brown.

They talk about his Twitterhandle.
He has a lot of off-the-fieldstuff.
I understand and I don't, andyou know there's a lot of
different things going on withthat.
I won't speak too much on that.
But either way, when AntonioBrown's name comes up, we don't
start talking football for threeor four points and I hate that

for Antonio Brown Six straightseasons and I hate that for
Antonio Brown and any otherathlete.
Antonio Brown six straightseasons, 100-plus receptions,
1,200-plus yards and eight-plustouchdowns.
He did that six years in a rowin Pittsburgh.
It was an absolute monster.
So I wanted to talk on thisbecause I don't feel like guys
of the stature like Cam Newtonshould be on the field looking
(14:32):
to dap up 19, 20 year olds.
Show them love.
Off to the side.
Don't make it about content andall this other stuff going on.
The cameras are there.
We all know this Cam Newtonbeing on the field at Central
Florida and going up to givelove to Shador Sanders and
Travis Hunter and those guysboth waving him off hurt my
(14:55):
heart.
Cam is one of those guys alltime and all this off the field
stuff is starting to take awayfrom that.
This is not just the onlyinstance that I think is pulling
away from the cam newton lurebecause he was one of the
all-time greats when it comes toplaying quarterback, especially
at the college level.
So those guys should beapproaching cam Newton seeking
(15:19):
him out.
Cam, any advice?
Cam, this Cam that it's theother way around and it really
rubbed me the wrong way.
Cam Newton and the rest ofthose guys should be treated
with respect from his youngfellows, because they're trying
to be what Cam Newton hasalready done Little thoughts.
