(00:46):
What's the scorching hotoverreaction?
That may not be an overreaction, you know.
Sometimes all you need to do issee things for a couple snaps,
sometimes big dick to quick, andyou know this shit's not gonna
work and something's gonna needto be fixed.
Ask Brock Purdy.
He saw the weakness in the Jetslast night.

(01:08):
They exploited it the rest ofthe way.
Caleb Williams first W didn'treally participate but
participated a little bit.
You know what I'm saying.
We're going to talk about that.
That gets the deal at thebuzzer.
Tyreek Hill gets arrested.
Tom Brady makes his debut.
Wasn't that good?
We got a lot of talk about noKetchup talk v Chicago.

(01:31):
We back at it.
Baby big, nifty quick.
What's happening?
victory Tuesday baby victoryTuesday hey man 17-0 down at the
half.
They, they did what wasnecessary.
Simone Biles' husband scored.
I would get sick of that.
By the way, I know who Imarried.

Nick Harvey (01:51):
Yeah.

Sean Little (01:54):
I know who I married, but like they don't
even say folks' names.

Nick Harvey (01:58):
Nah, Even on the broadcast Adam Amin goes, Mr
Biles.

Sean Little (02:02):
Mr Biles, they don't even say folks' names.

Nick Harvey (02:05):
A quick side note.
I know we've done this before, but shout out, adam Amin.
John, he's amazing.
It was lovely to hear Adam Aminon the Sunday broadcast for the
Bears man.
Shout out, adam Amin, thehardest working man in sports,
good guy, met him at the Bullsgame one time man.

Sean Little (02:21):
You know we're big Adam Amin man.
No doubt, shout out Adam Amin.
He is the voice of the cityright now.
There's no doubt about that whenit comes to athletics in
Chicago, illinois.
So yeah, shout out AA, let'sjump right into it, because we
tend to eat up an hour quickly.
We're going to try to stick tothat hour here.

(02:42):
I'm going to a little summit.
Shout out my girl, monicaMcNutt.
She sent me a ticket.
Stephen A's talking to a bunchof people, so I'm going to catch
that.
Earlier today and I got to gointo MSG.

Nick Harvey (02:52):
So I would love, With the double ESPN name drop
real quick in case anybodydidn't pick it up.
The double ESPN name drop realquick.
It's just mcnutt, that's my,that's the homie and that's
really msg.

Sean Little (03:07):
You know, shout out mcnutt.
Uh, I'm gonna go hang out andlisten to some people talk and
you know, try to work thenetwork and do the whole thing.
Mingle, but mingle, as they say.
Nfl week one is in the books.
Big nick the quick.
What is the hot?
Take the overreaction.
That may not be an overreaction, that may just be the truth,
but we're just the first ones tosay it here.

Nick Harvey (03:26):
On no ketchup I got the double dose for you from
the afc north.
Please think.
Number one, mike tomlin.
The pittsburgh steelers aregoing to make the playoffs again
.
Yeah, I've seen enough whenyou're winning games with six
field goals, when you've and ifyou actually look at I know, if
you look at the numbers, this is.
This is a clear game where it'slook at the numbers versus

(03:46):
watch the film.
I actually watched the game.
Justin fields was fine.
He didn't have to do more thanthey asked him to do on sunday
and that's exactly what he did.
It was like get us down thefield, we're gonna kick a bunch
of field goals.
Don't make any mistakes.
Still has some issues with thefumbles, which they need to fix,
but I I think, if I'm Tomlin,I'm looking at that situation.
I'm riding with Justin until Idon't have to, and it's

(04:07):
infinitely better than what he'shad at quarterback for, say,
the past three seasons when he'sstill been backing this team
into the playoffs.
Flip side of that, yourCincinnati Bengals are in
trouble, guys.
I don't think this is a playoffteam.
I think that they have majorissues.
I think that we're going onyear four of their absolute
refusal to protect Joe Burrow.
Three sacks again.
On Sunday, offense lookedlifeless.

(04:28):
For some reason this was likethe.
For those people in SurvivorLeague, this was like the
favorite pick of the weekend forSurvivor, which I thought was
asinine.
I would have ranked this in thebottom five.
I was not, did not feelcomfortable about Cincinnati
coming into this game.
Jamar Chase look man, we talkabout all the time.
Hold out, get your money, dowhat you got to do, but if
you're going to hold out, youneed to commit to the holdout.

(04:48):
Come into the holdout isn't 10minutes before the game.
Decide that you're going tosuit up and play anyways.
And now you just wasted.
You know most of training camp.
You're not in shape, whateverright.
Either you're going to hold outand not show up or you're just
going to play and try to figureout your deal as it comes to you
like that, but a stupid holdoutends 10 minutes before the game
.
No, t Higgins, joe Mixon's gone.
Jamar Chase has been in streetclothes for the past couple

(05:11):
months.
Offense looked pathetic.

Sean Little (05:15):
You say you got a Hassan Reddick at the joint.
If you're going to do it, yeah, yeah, you got Hassan.

Nick Harvey (05:19):
Yeah, you see how much money Hassan's committed
much money Hassan's committed.
He's already given up eightmillion committed.
I'm dug in, I'm dug in, yeah.
Yeah, if you want to dig in,dig in, you gotta do the Le'Veon
, you gotta do the Cabo ZekeElliott situation.
Um, whatever it might be, and Iknow what the rules now you
kind of have to be at camp butyou don't participate.
But yeah, overall did not feelcomfortable about the Bengals

(05:40):
coming into this game at all.
Was very shocked that there wasthat much confidence on them
and they did exactly what Ithought that they were going to
do.
Not that the Patriots are greator anything, but I don't know
what.
Every people think that Burrowcoming back just all of a sudden
, you know, lifts them back intothat contender status which it
should.
But I don't think that's thecase.
Man, a couple things.
It's been a long time sincethey beat the Chiefs at

(06:01):
Arrowhead yeah, it's fair.

Sean Little (06:03):
A couple.
Going back to Justin Fields wethought that was going to be a
tough game in Atlanta.
That shit seems to be fugazi.
A couple things.
If you go look at JustinFields' pass chart, he just
refuses to throw it over themiddle of the field.
That's the biggest issue.

(06:24):
That's always been the issue.
Literally every single passcompleted or incomplete nick was
on outside the numbers on theleft, outside the numbers on the
right, and then in thebackfield go pull it up while
while I'm chatting there is abig chunk in the middle of the
field that no ball goes to.
He refuses to go over themiddle.
He doesn't want anything to dowith going over the middle.

(06:45):
So that's number one.
But hey, this is about winninggames.
So if we don't, if tj watt isplaying like that, there was a,
the.
I saw a bunch of clips.

Nick Harvey (06:57):
I split up his pass .
Start.
That is really funny you see, that pass he only completed one
pass in between the hashes.

Sean Little (07:05):
Yeah, he doesn't throw the ball over the middle,
so I went back and watched allof his throws and I watched all
of Kirk's throws.
Oh, kirk was brutal.
Yo, the difference betweenyou're probably going to kill me
for this the difference betweenhim and Aaron Rodgers' Achilles
.
Kirk's Achilles is his rightone on the plant foot, aaron

(07:28):
rogers is the left one on thenon-plant.
It looked like kirk didn't wantto step with his right, put it
in the ground and then fire offand let the ball go.
It looked like he was trying tothrow with all arm off his
front foot and it didn't lookvery good.
And if number fucking 90.
I don't know what this fuckingguy Eats for breakfast.

(07:48):
I don't know what he doespregame, but he looks to be In a
league that is full of men.
Tj Watt seems to be On anotherlevel than them, a different
planet, and it's no matter whohe's playing.
What day it is is what therecord is, if the offensive
scoring points are not everysingle play.

(08:11):
This guy was in kirk's facealmost it seemed.
If kirk was dropping back, number 90 was in his face.
Shout out tj watt.

Nick Harvey (08:19):
He is just on a different level best defensive
closer in the nfl, without adoubt.
He is massive for them.
At the end of games he shutsdown so many drives because all
their games are close, so youknow those last drives are
always crucial, tj onepossession games.
They're always they live in theone possession game they live
in the close game.
So you need a defensive playerlike him that closes games.

(08:39):
I'm telling you, man, theformula is there and they asked
you see, tom, after the game.
They're like so are you gonnastart?
Are you gonna start justin, or,uh, or russell going forward?

Sean Little (08:47):
he goes ask me on tuesday I'm gonna be with you if
they talk yo and then if you,and then if you ask him on
tuesday, he'll be like we'll seesaturday.

Nick Harvey (08:58):
You talk to me saturday that's a good so yeah,
we gotta get him on the pod?
Is it when we sat down withTomlin for like two hours?
I feel like it would be great.

Sean Little (09:08):
Just like you.
Just sit there in the chairlike yeah you might be ready to
suit up.

Nick Harvey (09:11):
You might be ready.
Standard is standard.

Sean Little (09:17):
Yeah, shout out Mike man, he's going to be a
great TV guy.

Nick Harvey (09:20):
when the time comes , he's going to be excellent.

Sean Little (09:25):
Mike, when the time comes, it's gonna be excellent
mike, that's.
It's awesome too, like they'veclearly over the years.
They trust him.
They, of course, have extendedhim a few times now and it just
shows like when you really letsomeone set the tone and the
culture and you don't try to putyour fingers all on it, maybe
as a gm or an owner, and youtrust the guy you hired, he
really can create this cultureand tone that.

Nick Harvey (09:45):
You're never embarrassed over there.
Yeah, he doesn't fuck aroundthey had Le'Veon and AB on the
same roster and Mike Tomlinnavigated through that and they
were winning ballgames LikeLe'Veon and AB at their prime of
primeness.

Sean Little (09:57):
Yeah, exactly so shout out to the Steelers Big
win, steelers, big win.
Let's see how they go.
Let's get to the Bengals reallyquick.
This is a classic case of likeI don't think a positive thing
came out of that camp all summer.
And, by the way, this is nowlike the third or fourth year in
a row where they've stumbledout of the gates and they don't
seem to get rolling until likeweek three or four or five.

(10:19):
Burrow has come out in week oneor two and they lose a vast
majority of the games and don'treally compete in them.
They were horrific and I wasexposed.
I had them in a teaser, Ithought it was just.
I think, nick, it was morepeople weren't as confident and
Cincy just was so low on NewEngland that they just didn't
think they could go on the roadin week one and get the W.

(10:40):
But shout out, jacoby Brissett.

Nick Harvey (10:44):
Veteran quarterback , won a lot of games in this
league.
Doesn't turn the ball over.
Whatever Understands theassignment.
I'm not making no mistakes, bro.
Period 17 checks.
Okay, I'll do it.

Sean Little (10:55):
Yeah.
So let's go back to Cincy.
No positive things came out ofthat camp.
All summer I didn't hear apositive thing, yo, if you go
back.
By the way, this is and I saidthis months ago they lose dj
reader in the middle.
Yep, one of the best dts youcan argue in the league.
If you remember, treyhedrickson asked for a trade.

Nick Harvey (11:15):
He wanted out yeah, he wanted out he wanted out.

Sean Little (11:17):
He didn't want to be there.
He's their best edge mixing.
Gone out.
Uh, boyd gone bye.
Jamar Mixon gone Out, Boyd gone.

Nick Harvey (11:24):
Bye.

Sean Little (11:25):
Jamar, not in camp, wants a new deal deserves a new
deal.
Holding in?
Yeah, you know what that is.
Yeah, we're true holdouts.
Don't be holding in on me.
Hold all the way out, trent.

Nick Harvey (11:38):
Williams is shit.
Hey, listen, call me with thedeal or don't call me at all.
Yeah, trent Williams is aperfect example.
Hey, listen, call me with thedeal or don't call me at all.
Yeah, trent Williams is aperfect example.
I know y'all got some cat'sface left.
I'm out.

Sean Little (11:50):
I'm out until I'm in.
You feel me.

Nick Harvey (11:54):
Until I'm in, yeah.

Sean Little (11:54):
So forget this holding in.
But then you got Burrow naggingwrist.
The wrist isn't all the wayback and it's just like he's out
here dying his hair.
He's start believing a lot ofthis shit like.
Another example is christianmccaffrey.
The entire last 10 days they'vebeen telling us is dealing with

(12:15):
a lower body injury and he's arunning back.
He's not gonna play.
So maybe he's either not gonnaplay or he's gonna be limited we
get your boy.

Nick Harvey (12:23):
Last night I don't know if you saw that- by the way
.

Sean Little (12:25):
Oh yeah, oh, I watched it live.

Nick Harvey (12:27):
The running back let it slip and they asked
Shanahan about it.
Shanahan's like I didn't tellhim that on Friday he saw that.

Sean Little (12:32):
I didn't know.

Nick Harvey (12:42):
I didn't hear that.
Shanahan said he told him thaton Friday.

Sean Little (12:45):
Yeah, Shanahan't even know who that is.

Nick Harvey (12:47):
Yeah, we got an injury report.
Dog, Don't come out here andtell us what I told you on
Friday.

Sean Little (12:50):
Yeah, you see the Shanahan clip.
Shanahan's holding the meterchange.
Shanahan's holding the meterchange man.

Nick Harvey (12:57):
The bill got curved , the hat went backwards giving
you carries.

Sean Little (13:02):
Nah, I ain't nobody talking about that yeah, he was
ready to go?
I I'll tell you that he wasready to go, but they yo uh,
lisa salters did put him on thespot, though he was caught off
guard.
It was right after the game andshit, and they were just
gassing him up and he's like, she's like, so when'd you know
you were gonna play?
Lisa's, not lisa's not new atthis he was like lisa's not new

(13:22):
at this, she's a veteran.
Uh, lisa's not new at this.

Nick Harvey (13:24):
She's a veteran.
Lisa's a veteran at this.
She knows how to get thequestion.
Lisa, Pam, Oliver, they've beendoing this a long time.

Sean Little (13:32):
I think Friday night I was like I was on the
couch like what Friday?
Yeah, but yeah, man, this is uh.

Nick Harvey (13:38):
So she didn't Carissa.

Sean Little (13:39):
Thompson, it is what you're saying.
Yeah, shout out.

Nick Harvey (13:42):
Yeah, she did.
Chris Thompson, have we seenher since?
I haven't seen her, since she'sstill on Amazon.

Sean Little (13:46):
I don't know.
Good question, shout out ChrisThompson, though Wait, I'm
thinking somebody else.
Chris Thompson is who we weretalking about in the group chat
the other day.

Nick Harvey (13:55):
Yeah, Chris Thompson is the one who said
that she used to make shit thewhole sideline reporter
community just destroyed it.

Sean Little (14:03):
Yes, okay, my fault .
Oh yeah, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, okay, I know what
Chris is talking about.
I know Chris is talking aboutyeah, but yeah, I'm sure she's
still on Amazon.
I'm pretty sure she is.
We got to see come Thursdaynight, yeah, no, she's on there.

Nick Harvey (14:15):
See what TNF.

Sean Little (14:16):
I know what's-his-name.
Oh my God.

Nick Harvey (14:19):
Hey, listen man, hey, listen man, hey, listen.
Stop the hoodies and blazerswith this guy.
It's unbelievable, whitworth,unbelievable.

Sean Little (14:28):
That whole crew is Whitworth Whitworth.

Nick Harvey (14:29):
Hey, let's keep it real.
Amazon has a lot of money.
That whole crew is fuckingterrible.

Sean Little (14:34):
Fitzpatrick.

Nick Harvey (14:34):
Whitworth.

Sean Little (14:41):
Nah, you just need some new gel and richard sherman
and it's just like that.
The, the, that whole thechemistry is not there yet.
For them, I would I'd say thatoverall, um, they need to they
need to hire ryan clark overthere yeah, okay, let me give
you my scorching hot take.
Yeah, my bad detroit lions aregonna win the super bowl.
They're the best team in thenfc.

(15:01):
I, I, I say that with a lump inmy throat after watching San
Francisco Gee, but they justwere right back to business.
The Niners who are these dudes?
What is this bro?
This guy, kyle Shanahan, isunbelievable dog.
Do you remember, nick, whenthere was a sliver of noise that
they were going to, that Ninersfans wanted Shanahan out?
Remember that.

Nick Harvey (15:22):
Yeah, because they kept winning a bunch of games in
the regular season.
Yeah, he had no quarterback.
Man, if you don't, I'd sendthat, I'd go pick that dude up
from O'Hare International soquick, I'll pick him up from
Candlestick, I'll pick him upfrom the.
Golden Gate Bridge.
I'll pick him up from whereverhe wants to come from, from the

(15:42):
Oracle, I'll give a fuck.

Sean Little (15:42):
I'll pick him up from wherever he wants to come
from, from the Oracle, you feelme I'll give a fuck.

Nick Harvey (15:44):
Yeah, 100%, Listen, man.
That was another spot where Ithink you saw our little debate
of the pick-em last night.
So for our pick-em we can seethat someone else picks a game,
but we can't see who they pick.
Yo, that's whack by the way.
Yeah, I saw that there were twoother people on this Niners and
Jets game and I just assumedthat everybody was on the Niners
.
I couldn't see how you couldtake the Jets in that situation.

(16:06):
To me it was Niners or nobody, which that's obviously how it
played out.
But yeah, that team's keeprolling, man, they're not
missing anything.
This was the best team in theNFL last year and they didn't
lose anybody.
So yeah, I agree with you onthat.
I know you're talking aboutDetroit, so here I'll stop.

Sean Little (16:22):
I'll save this for later, but yeah, yeah, we'll
talk, because I mean it's tiedtogether right.
I think it's either going to bethe Lions or the Niners, and
it's been the Niners for quitesome time now.

Nick Harvey (16:32):
I think we have the same four.
It's Baltimore, Kansas City,Detroit and San Francisco, until
you tell me otherwise.

Sean Little (16:40):
Yeah, absolutely.
And the thing coming in toDetroit this year was the
Detroit Lions.
All their superstars are youngand we don't even like we don't.
They haven't even hit theceiling yet, like we don't even
know how good Amon Rock can be.

Nick Harvey (16:53):
Where did Jamison Williams come from?

Sean Little (16:55):
Jamison Williams comes out and looks like he's
back in the SEC.
Yeah, like this is why you guysdrafted me.
He was talking shit too.
Hey, we are very familiar withdavid montgomery.
He is a handful professional, professional, professional
bruiser.
Gives shifty, differentlightning and thunder.
All that.

(17:15):
Laporte is like 20 yeah, hedidn't play yeah so it's like
they.
They have a lot of guys andgolf is paid.
They play 14 of 17 in a dome,nick, that's the biggest.

Nick Harvey (17:30):
that's the biggest stat for the Detroit Lions.
They play 14 out of 17 games ina dome.
One game outside againstChicago, one game outside
against Green Bay, and then Iforget who their other game
outside is.
But that's crazy.

Sean Little (17:40):
My bad, I wasn't.
Laporta did play, but what?

Nick Harvey (17:43):
I'm getting.

Sean Little (17:44):
What I'm getting at is overall, they just have a
lot of young guys that haven'teven hit the ceiling yet.
We don't even know if they cantake it up to another level.
They're going to be sensationaland the D is starting to get
there.
Get better.
They got DJ.
Reader from Cincy.

Nick Harvey (17:58):
I love Hutch.

Sean Little (17:59):
Hutch's baby.
Tj Watt Hutchison should watchTJ Watt Hutchinson should watch
TJ Watt tape all day long.
He should call him up and belike yo bro, can I come by in
the summer and come get off theedge with you and figure out
what you do, cause you're adifferent animal right now.
So that's my Superbowl pick.
I'm going to pick the lions togo the distance.
That's my scorching hot take.
That was my take before theseason.
And the next one is you have tocut.

(18:29):
Uh, deshaun watson cut.
I don't, I don't care, you guysgotta pay.
I don't care if you have torewrite the rule book and the
cap rules.
You have to figure somethingout with him.
In that quarterback situation, there's new reports come out
yesterday of a new, a newlawsuit.
Oh really, I didn't see thatyeah, and it, and it's actually
one of the more wild ones in thewhole case.
Go look that up.

(18:49):
I don't even want to talk aboutthe details on that, but a new
case comes out for Watson theother day I think it was
yesterday actually he'sembarrassed and, if I'm being
honest, big Nick the Quick, youcan't have him embarrass you off
the field and on the field, youfollow me.
Yeah, he can't embarrass youoff the field with what's been

(19:12):
going on, with the lawsuits andthe sexual assault stuff that's
floating around and then showsup on Sundays in his ass too.

Nick Harvey (19:20):
Joe Flacco was infinitely better for them last
year than Deshaun Watson hasbeen since he's gotten in
Cleveland.
It just can't happen, JoeFlacco.
The side office literally wasretired.

Sean Little (19:30):
So call up the Denver Broncos and figure out
the finesse that they did withRussell Wilson and how much they
had to pay and whatever it maybe, and just get it out the way,
or put them on the bench andstart.
Who are they going to start?
I don't know, it doesn't matter.
Oh boy, jameis, what you mean, jameis?
Oh yeah, jameis is there.

Nick Harvey (19:51):
Jameis is ready for this.

Sean Little (19:52):
Put Jameis on the field and let my man rock.
Mr 30 for 30, dog, yeah.
What are we saying?
I don't understand, because nowwe're starting to, and also
Nick.

Nick Harvey (20:06):
We're starting to go on years of this with Watson.
He hasn't been good in a long, long time.
He hasn't had a good game forthe Cleveland Browns at all
since he's gotten over there.

Sean Little (20:13):
I don't know if he's had a good drive.

Nick Harvey (20:19):
Yeah, orlovsky had a great breakdown of his play
yesterday on Get Up, where heshowed specific plays where it's
just like this is clearly aquarterback that has absolutely
zero confidence in his ability.
I mean, he's missing shit thathe should be hitting.
He's throwing balls early, he'soverlooking guys.
Um, and look man, I'll you.
You know I've said it a hundredtimes, I was one of the biggest
deshaun watson fans ever.

(20:39):
Go back, watch that game.
The two throws, two of the bestthrows I've ever seen in my
entire life in new orleans,louisiana.

Sean Little (20:45):
Yeah, it was.

Nick Harvey (20:45):
Oh my goodness gracious two of the best throws
I've ever seen to win a game on.
They actually lost the game umthey did right, they lost that
game with the show down thefield with two of them just
money throws.
With that being said, he hasnot been the same guy since.
Whatever it might be injuries, mental just got a lot going on.
Um, yeah, you can't keep thisgoing.
You have a good defense, youhave a playoff team, you have a

(21:07):
good coaching staff.
He clearly can't do what you'reasking him to do.
And listen, you were betterwith a guy off the street last
year.
Flaco was unemployed.
When they brought him in he was40 years old, done counting his
baltimore money.
Didn't think he was gonna playanymore.
Call them in he leaves them.
They let.
Called him in he leads them tothe playoffs.
Right, yeah, led them to theplayoffs.

Sean Little (21:26):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
One comeback player of the year, One comeback player of the
year everything, yeah, he beatout.
Demar.

Nick Harvey (21:31):
Hamlin for comeback .
Player of the year.

Sean Little (21:33):
Yeah, man that died .

Nick Harvey (21:34):
Yeah, yeah, man that died.
That's how crazy the Flaccosituation was.
They didn't invite him back ordid he retire.

Sean Little (21:42):
Em was started yesterday.

Nick Harvey (21:44):
No, no, I'm talking about Blocko, oh Blocko.

Sean Little (21:47):
I think he's in Indianapolis.

Nick Harvey (21:49):
Oh, he's playing.
He's on the.
Colts yeah he's backing upRichardson.
Shout out, he's going to getsome playing time.
Shout out Richardson, though hewas on fire on Sunday.

Sean Little (21:57):
Yeah, I rewatched that entire game.

Nick Harvey (22:11):
It's one entire game I've ever seen in my entire
life.

Sean Little (22:12):
Yeah, if you don't know what we're talking about,
anthony richardson threw a ball67 yards in the air on a rope
left for a touchdown someone inhis face.

Nick Harvey (22:15):
Yeah, let's.
Yeah, after he slipped he hadabout three.
I watched that game too.
He had about three or fourthrows in that game that I was
just like man, this is highlevel, I don't know.
You know they got to work onhim on doing some of the
in-between stuff.
You know which.
You know rami, if you've heardthat before.
But yeah, if that guy, if youcan get him coloring in between
the lines, um, so that's aproblem right there but yeah so
I, if you're, if you'recleveland, you got to get
somebody else in there.

(22:35):
I fully agree.
Uh, maybe give them week two,see what happens, but there's
nothing you want to talk about.
Cleveland or cincinnati didn'tshow you anything positive.
Cleveland really didn't.

Sean Little (22:44):
on offense, and I think it starts with Deshaun
Watson man, he was brutal, nodoubt, and speaking of the
things in between, let's talkabout our guy, caleb Williams,
and the Chicago Bears Get the WBecause for a guy that says he
doesn't get nervous, he looked alittle nervous.
To me it looked like nothingmore than that.

(23:06):
He was a little sped up.
It looked a little nervous thethe amount of times that we were
fumbling the ball but would getit back and it would mess up.
The rest of the play happenedlike two or three times where it
was stuff, where that inbetween stuff, that coloring
within the lines, there was acouple throws.
I saw where it was just youknow high level stuff where he's

(23:28):
holding backers immediately offthe snap to come back left to
hit slants and moving peoplearound and stuff like that.
But overall he just looked alittle tight.
It looked like it was his firststart in the nfl defense picked
him up.
I'm really happy they came backand picked him up and got the W
because that's a little lessspotlight on his play.

Nick Harvey (23:51):
Yeah, what a week we would have been in.
It would have been as CalebWilliams, a bust and all this
stuff.

Sean Little (23:55):
Yeah, it would have been some question marks.

Nick Harvey (23:57):
I want to say it was like the third or fourth
play of the game.
Defensive lineman from theTitans gets in the backfield
Forget his name, big guy, one ofthose big round 330-pound
bowling ball guys that incollege is running like a 6'8".
But this is the NFL.
You saw Caleb tried to hit himwith the shoulder.
Looked up, my man was stillright there and I think right
there is.
When Caleb Williams oh, this isa little bit different.

(24:20):
This is a level of athlete Ihaven't dealt with.
This bit different, this is alevel of athlete I haven't dealt
with.
This is a level of pursuit thatI haven't dealt with.
I can't just shoulder shimmyguys, the nfl, who have been
doing this for 10 years and whoare professionals, and I think
that's kind of set the tone forthe rest of the game of just how
fast it was for them.
Um, I think you don't, reallyyou don't.
You think about it, you know, but like something like d-line

(24:41):
play between college and the NFLcould not be more different.
Right, like you were talkingabout four guys up front and all
the Titans did was rush four.
Very rarely were they bringingin any safeties or linebackers
or any blitzes or anything likethat.
They were just lining up andbeating the Bears and these guys
were in the backfield all daylong.
You got a guy like JeffreySimmons Look, this is one of the

(25:01):
best in the business, right?
This is an all-pro guy.
He does this.
These guys are in the backfieldand they get paid to get after
the quarterback and that's whatthey were doing.
I think Caleb looked a bitflustered, but great, he got out
of his system.
He didn't make any crucialmistakes.
That cost us a ballgame, whichyou see, young quarterbacks do.
You go on the other side, willLevis.
It was 17-16.

(25:22):
Will Levis did the inexplicable.
I don't know why quarterbacksstill do this.
I'm getting sacked, so I'm justgoing to throw the ball up into
space and hope for somethinggood to happen.
Usually what happens is it endsup in the hands of the defender
and if you're really unlucky, they score a touchdown, which is
what happened to TyreekStevenson on that play.
So Caleb didn't do anythinglike that, didn't play well.

(25:45):
Well, it's fine.
Listen, I had a packer's friend.
I had a packer's friend text meyesterday and say hey, are
y'all having buyer's remorse oncaleb williams?
I said y'all are starting malikwillis for the next six weeks
get out, get out, get off myphone, get off my line it was
his first game, I wasn'texpecting anything crazy.
I saw some people taking propsfor caleb williams, though for
over 300 yards.
This is the National FootballLeague.
It doesn't happen that way.

(26:06):
Even when you're looking atsome of those games that Stroud
was having last year, he wasn'tthrowing for 350 yards, he was
just making good plays and theywere winning ball.

Sean Little (26:14):
Good decisions yeah .

Nick Harvey (26:15):
Yeah, good decisions, man.
It's fine, that's going to come.
He will have to learn, like wejust said, the color in between
the lines.
That's something that thecoaching staff is going to have
to work with.
Speaking of coaching, I don'tthink Waldron did him any favors
.
What you can't do with a guylike Caleb who has that much
every throw right, like I thinksome of those calls, especially
on third down, put him in a spotwhere it'd be like third and

(26:37):
six and you got him going for 25um.
So that needs to be worked on.
That has to be cleaned up.
Put him in a position just tomake the right plays.
You have a really good defense.
You have great skill positionplayers and if, uh, keaton allen
catches that touchdown, it's acompletely different
conversation.

Sean Little (26:52):
Yeah true, no true, and that's a good point.
There was a lot of spots wherewe're trying to pick up huge
chunk plays when it'sunnecessary and also on that on
that deep ball that missed tokeenan allen.
That was off of a snap thatcaleb fumbled a little bit.
He caught it, fumbled it alittle bit, then he's rolling
right trying to figure outwhat's going on and he's like I

(27:13):
just got to go deep.
That's my only option here, that it's the safe way now to go
back to the shimmy.
He 100 percent caleb williamssaw that dude.
It was like oh, I see this allthe time.
I'll just shake this dude andI'll be right back up in the
pocket.
I'll step up and I'll continueto look downfield.
He gave him that pack 12 oregonsteak, left, right, shimmy, and

(27:35):
my man was still in his face, still there.
And he said oh my God.

Nick Harvey (27:40):
This guy didn't bite on that.
He's getting faster.

Sean Little (27:43):
And then he's yo exactly.
And then he faded back and he'slike, oh, I'll just outrun this
guy and I'll go left andthere's another one, this guy is
not going away.
Why is he still in my face?
I don't understand this.
Let me try to get rid of thisjoint.
Uh-oh, it's third and 50.
What have I done?

Nick Harvey (28:04):
Just like that.
What have I done is the bestway to put it.
What have I done?

Sean Little (28:13):
How did I get all the?
When I look down at my Nikes,I'm at midfield.
How is this possible?
What just happened?

Nick Harvey (28:24):
Sunday is different .

Sean Little (28:25):
That was a perfect example of like.
This is not.
You're not playing WashingtonState in Pullman Like that's
real.
This is different.
It's very, very, verydifferent's real.

Nick Harvey (28:35):
This is different.
It's very, very, very, verydifferent coaching.
Yeah, they've been scheming onyou all summer long waiting for
this game.
So yeah, I again, I'm notworried at all.
He didn't make the it's thosecrucial, those crucial negative
plays right.
He did have the 30 yard sackand a couple of that, but no
turnovers.
Played it safe.
Um and man, great job by thedefense and the special teams.

(28:56):
We were waiting for that, Ithink you and I talked.
In the first half I said ifIbraflus is a defensive guru, I
don't see it.
Clearly, in the second halfthey turned it around.
Ibraflus is still a cheerleaderto me, not like your boy over
there in New York.
Biggest cheerleader was on thesidelines last night.
You guys saw last year I'vebeen saying this for two years
now when I saw Hard Knockscheerleader.

Sean Little (29:18):
Honestly, what does he do?
Nick was the first person Iever heard bring this up and he
was dead on.
This was bang on three yearsago.
He goes Sean, bro, robert, whatdoes he do?
And I was like, yeah, you know,he a defense, he's coming from
I.
I did the uh, he's coming fromthat niners pedigree, like I did

(29:38):
that whole thing, if you'regonna be, because, like tomlin,
doesn't see very many clipboardseither, but he sets the tone
and has everybody, he runs theshit correctly.
I mean, robert salah is not onthat level.
Yeah, he's not like that, yeah.
So to go back to floos, that'shonestly the biggest question

(29:59):
mark I have going forward here, just overall about the, the team
, because, look, it's a newoffense, it's a new offensive
coordinator, it's a newquarterback and you know who's
supposed to manage all that andmake sure shit is smooth floos
and I'm not sure he is doingthat like he's supposed to be.
If you remember, this is to behonest, nick, I've actually

(30:21):
never I haven't seen too muchlike this.
I still stand that he shouldhave been fired.
Going into this new regime, weshould have started fresh.
Go get hardball, go get acouple other guys, go get ben
johnson, go do whatever.
Well, that's, that's waterunder the bridge.
Now the mccaskies weren't goingto pay multiple folks, like we
know the deal.
Yeah, the fact that he wentfrom being fired to doing to

(30:44):
getting a haircut, a beard lineup oh, did you see his?

Nick Harvey (30:48):
sunglasses crib was crazy.
He had the crib with thelakefront property yeah to then
becoming the favorite.

Sean Little (30:55):
He closed the favorite for coach of the year.
Yeah, he was just about to befired and should have been so.
Those are the question marks Igot from Flues.
I haven't seen quite theturnaround like that, where he
was out the door.
Then we get the shout-out LoveySmith, we get the first pick in
the draft, we pick Caleb andnow he's the odds-on favorite to
win coach of the year.
We got some work to do on that,so stay tuned.

(31:17):
They did bounce back out ofhalf Will Levitz and to go back
to that, Will Levitz flick, ifyou go back and watch the game,
earlier in the game he wasgetting sacked and he did that
same thing and it was incompleteand he tried to go back to that
shit and it was a pick six.

Nick Harvey (31:36):
Listen, man, guy's got a lot of heart.
I respect the kid.
Clearly he worked on his bodyin the offseason.
Looks phenomenal in pads.
You say it looks like afootball player.
It looks like a football player, lots of heart.
I don't know what he was doingtaking some of those hits.
If you heard, mark Sanchez waslosing it on the broadcast
watching Will Levis getrepeatedly drilled in the back

(31:57):
because he refused to slide butprobably not a high-level NFL
starter.

Sean Little (32:02):
Yeah, I told you he's a homeless, baker Mayfield
Lots of heart, Not a lot ofbrain, Yo, and this is the thing
too.
We talk about this all the time.
Nick Baker Mayfield in collegewas a dog.

Nick Harvey (32:16):
He was a dog.

Sean Little (32:18):
Will Levitz, kentucky Essies.
Okay, I'm still yet to see adude remind me if I'm missing
somebody.
That was just okay in college.
And then show up on Sundays andbe very impactful from the
quarterback position.
It doesn't really happen, sothat's always.
And then show up on Sundays andbe very impactful from the

(32:38):
quarterback position.
It doesn't really happen.
It doesn't really happen, sothat's always really interesting
coming in because, as you cansee, even the best guys coming
out winning Heismans it takes alittle bit of time to get right.

Nick Harvey (32:51):
And I didn't mean that as disrespect to Baker, by
the way, because I think Baker'sturned it around and Baker's
great career.
Baker's comfortable Baker'svery career, that's all he
needed by the way.

Sean Little (33:00):
Remember we talked about this too.
I don't hear from Baker like Iused to, that motherfucker goes
to work now and goes to the cribkicking it in Tampa.
I'm not seeing Baker Mayfieldcommercials.
I'm not seeing him dancing.
I'm not seeing him talking shitcommercials.
I'm not seeing him dancing.
I'm not seeing him talking shitin post-game pressers.

(33:20):
Go listen to his presser fromyesterday.
He threw four touchdowns.
They asked him about it.
He's like yeah, you know, we'rejust down here working.
We're just going to try tostack these W's who is this?

Nick Harvey (33:31):
Who is this?
Who's this?
Listen, I've always said Bakeris like at that weird spot where
he's not good enough to beelite but he's not bad enough to
be like a career backup, likehe is a starter in the NFL.
He will be, and if you put theright things around him and
don't put too much on him, youcan have some success.

(33:52):
Baker was fine and let's notforget the dumpster fire that he
was dealing with in Cleveland.

Sean Little (34:00):
He had Freddy us baker was fine, and let's not
forget the dumpster fire that hewas dealing with in cleveland.

Nick Harvey (34:03):
He had freddie kitchens as a head coach at one
point in time.
Shout out freddie kitchens.
Shout out freddie kitchens.
He had hugh jackson.
He had hugh jackson as a headcoach.
I wasn't expecting to hearfreddie kitchens name today do
you remember that hire, andeverybody was like a running
backs coach.
He took over after hugh, hughJackson got fired and gave him
the job, and it was a fuckingdisaster.

Sean Little (34:20):
Freddie Kitchens.

Nick Harvey (34:21):
Shout out, Freddie I hope he didn't spend all that
money.
Man Shout out Freddie man.
He was just a good old boy fromthe South.

Sean Little (34:28):
He got himself a deal.

Nick Harvey (34:29):
Got himself a deal.
Nice.

Sean Little (34:31):
Thing you know he was on Monday Night Football.

Nick Harvey (34:33):
Monday Night Football.

Sean Little (34:34):
Monday Night Football.
Is that, freddie?
He got to figure this shit out,hey also before we get to Tom
and the Tyreek situation.
I have to get this off my chest, man, because what the Kansas
City Chiefs and the boys aredoing right now is very
spectacular.

(34:54):
Uh-oh, because the rest of theleague has to be looking at
these boys.
These boys are smacking peopleon national tv and then they're
jet setting to the us open andthey're, and they're, and
they're, they're.
They're wearing prada shirtsand gucci bucket hats and travis
kelsey travis Travis.

(35:15):
Kelsey got a mustache and he'sdancing with Taylor Swift the
most famous woman damn near onthe planet on the box.
And they just went anddismantled the Ravens, who are
supposed to be the second bestteam in the AFC.
Dismantled and then they'redrinking in the box honey deuces
, they're kicking it.
And then they're going show upon sunday this week and crack

(35:39):
and cracks the boys again, andthen they're gonna go, and then
they're gonna go kick it again.
What's?

Nick Harvey (35:44):
this week's event.
Where are they?

Sean Little (35:46):
gonna be like where might a?

Nick Harvey (35:47):
formula one race.
It might be in monaco.

Sean Little (35:49):
Yeah, because like because, typically, yeah, like
it's football time now, we'renot supposed to be seeing the
boys out kicking it like that.

Nick Harvey (36:00):
Yeah, it's not like .
Yeah, you really don't see thatin the NFL.
They are for sure.

Sean Little (36:03):
You know, bro, they went to the game Thursday, got
the W and by Sunday they was inNew York drinking Fashion Week,
kicking it Like it's not gameweek, like they got a bye or
some shit.

Nick Harvey (36:14):
They got Cincinnati this week.

Sean Little (36:18):
They Like it's not game week, Like they got to buy
or some shit, they gotCincinnati this week they're not
worried.
So you get what I'm saying.
Like I love it, Like you knowme, Nick, when you can talk
crazy and act crazy and thenshow up in crack boys, those are
the folks I love.
So I love that they're notshying from it.

Nick Harvey (36:32):
You said to me the other day look at Mahomes man,
you know he works out not really.
You know he shows up to thegame.
Whatever, man Stocky.

Sean Little (36:39):
No, I'll say exactly what I said, Coming from
a chubby man in myself.
Mahomes is doing this to peopleand he's not even in tip-top
shape like that.
He's not even in shape likethat.
He's drinking Coolers, lightsand shit after games.

Nick Harvey (36:54):
He's not on that tb12 yet if you go if he's not.

Sean Little (36:56):
That's a perfect perfect sentence.
He's not on that he's not onthat tb12, that's for sure bro,
he's living life relaxing.
It's almost like he can'tbelieve how this shit, how
smooth this shit is going.

Nick Harvey (37:09):
This is great, I'm not even going.

Sean Little (37:11):
The nfl was tough, yeah like I'm not even locked in
like that, no, and mentally islike a perfect example.
We talked about this too.
Lamar Jackson trimmest we'veever seen him.

Nick Harvey (37:25):
Oh my God, the 205, they said.

Sean Little (37:27):
What Lamar Jackson was in shape, a long, long ways
away from that picture of himdrinking a milkshake with a bag
of popcorn in his pocket or inhis hand.
He was in a milkshake, he wasnimble bro, we just talked about
will levitt's great folks isshredded shredded this mahomes
is a chubby dude out therekilling everybody.

(37:48):
He's funny.
He's luca in the nfl withtitles yeah that's what it is.
So what they're doing right nowis special, because you said it
last week, bro.

Nick Harvey (38:00):
Last year was the year to clip them and they won
the Super Bowl.
It'll never be as bad as it waslast year, like that team was
bad.
That's one of the worstoffensive teams we've ever seen
win a Super Bowl.
Outside of Patrick MahomesSkill position players were
negatives.

Sean Little (38:15):
So yeah, man, it's scary.
It's scary to see them outthere really chilling.
You got to understand, bro.
Travis is dating Taylor Swiftand they're running around
Brooklyn going to dinner andshit and it's game week.
They got practice on Tuesday orwhatever it is, were they out

(38:38):
and about.

Nick Harvey (38:38):
People saw them out and about.
Gee man.

Sean Little (38:41):
They was at Luke Colley in Brooklyn getting pizza
.
They was at the US Open in thebox, hey, and not sitting down
either, Like y'all going to seeus, we in this bitch they
dancing.
They was big, chilling man.

Nick Harvey (38:52):
Travis was Gucci down.

Sean Little (38:53):
Yeah, bro, they really living and then showing
up on Sunday.
You guys have no answers.
Every week no answers at all.

Nick Harvey (39:01):
I had to get the boys For that boy man.

Sean Little (39:03):
Yeah, I had to get the.

Nick Harvey (39:04):
Chiefs, boys, their props.
I thought you were going to saywhat I've finally been waiting
for you to say, but it's okay,we got 17 more weeks.
I was ready for Strapper to sayhey, nick, hey Nick, man, I've
seen the light and I apologize.

Sean Little (39:15):
but it'll happen.
Alright, let's talk about, let's talk about Dak, and then
we'll stick in the NFC and talkabout Brock and Shanahan, what
they did last night, but anythoughts on Dak getting the deal
late before?
Hey, you know what.
I'll actually kick it offbecause I want to say this about

(39:36):
Dak Prescott he doesn't getenough credit for how
unflappable he is.
He shows up in shit stormsevery single week in the media,
always stays in line, plays welland at the end of the day, has
gotten the money that he needsin both spots off the broken leg

(39:56):
still got paid.
Then, coming into the year, everybody and their mama getting
55 million per to playquarterback.
That doesn't mention it,doesn't bring it up.
He's in camp, he's going tocamp.
Jerry jones is talking tosteven a saying yeah, dax, my
guy, we're gonna get him paid.
He just never, ever caves Like.
I'm waiting for Dak to be atthe presser and go crazy one

(40:19):
time.
Like next question you a clown?
He never flaps, never, never.
He's just up there, he's acompany man, company man, bro,
star on my chest, I'm the DallasCowboys quarterback and I'm
going to keep it moving.

Nick Harvey (40:36):
Well, you know why.
If this doesn't work out, that's fine.
I'll go get the bag frommultiple different places.
So if you don't want to pay me,Jerry, or whatever the case may
, I'm paying.
He knew he was payingregardless.
Next year, I'm paid.

Sean Little (40:45):
So, yeah, man, shout out Dak.
They went out there.
Then they went to Cleveland.
Another defense that wassupposed to be lights out, they
absolutely shredded them.
Dallas shredded them.
Brock Purdy and Kyle Shanahanmade that Jets D.
That was tops in the league ina lot of different categories

(41:10):
last year.
They were really good againstthe run, best in DVOA against
tight ends.
This guy, brock Purdy, alwaysknows where to go with the ball.
He always knows where to go,nick.
I've never seen the man like Idon't know where to go with this
rock.
Yeah, him and Kyle Shanahan arelockstep.

Nick Harvey (41:36):
And he's still getting disrespected.
If we're being completelyhonest, I had this thought about
Brock Purdy last night, becausepeople still look at Brock
Purdy last night, because peoplestill Brock Purdy.
You see this, you know, likewhatever, if you took Brock
Purdy right and you just put thename Lance on the back of his
jersey and he did everythingthat Brock Purdy's done over the
past two years, we'd be likeman, goddamn, the Niners hit on
Trey Lance.
Goddamn, they hit on Trey Lance, trey Lance.

(41:57):
What a pick.
But because it's Brock Purdy andhe was the last pick of the
draft, there's just a refusal tobelieve that he's good at
quarterback, and you and I havebeen talking about this for two
and a half years now, since hefirst came on the scene.
This guy can play quarterback.
I don't know what do you needhim to see?
Do you want to throw the ballbetween his legs?
What do you need to beimpressed by?
No, I'm serious, because maybehe doesn't do that.

(42:18):
Maybe, maybe he doesn't do that.
Maybe he doesn't do necessarilythe spectacular, which I kind
of beg to differ, because I'veseen him make plenty of really
high level throws that a lot ofguys who you love in the nfl
cannot make, or we're askingthem to make, or we're waiting
on them to make or get betterright?
I love lamar brock purdy'smaking some throws that I want
lamar to make, sometimes rightlike he puts the ball where it

(42:38):
needs to go.
He's not dinkinginking anddunking.
He throws the ball downfieldwhen he needs to.
He makes plays with his legswhen he needs to.
He escapes pressure when heneeds to.
Oh, and guess what else he does?
He wins a bunch of fucking ballgames and he's going to get
paid this offseason.
But that was the thought I had.
I'm like it has to be becausehe was the last pick in the
draft, because it because it'snot like he's coming out here

(42:58):
and Trent Dilfering right, orBrad Johnsoning or any other
quarterback who was just alongfor the ride.
He is driving the boat, yeah, does he have great players
around him?
Absolutely.
Are we punishing him for that?
I don't understand.
And guess what?
They won't be there next year.
So maybe we'll figure out whattype of quarterback he is next
year and if he sucks, everybodycan do whatever.

(43:21):
But I don't see it.
I think he is a high-levelquarterback in the NFL.
I think he is in that top 10list, if we're being completely
honest this guy was the MVPthrough 16 weeks.
He was the MVP through 16 weekslast year until they got smacked
by Jacksonville Still theJacksonville game right?

Sean Little (43:36):
No, it was Baltimore.

Nick Harvey (43:38):
Baltimore.
Yeah, until they got smacked byBaltimore, he was the MVP.
I don't know what else peopleneed to see.
Take him for someone who's beenwatching bad quarterbacking for
a long time in this city.
I know what bad looks like andI know what good looks like.

Sean Little (43:50):
That's a good quarterback.
He wasn't allowed to have a badgame.
He had one bad game and theywere like, yeah, okay, but it
killed him.
I.
I want to hear about him at anymoment.
Cam.

Nick Harvey (43:58):
Newton doing the whole podcast thing, Like birdie
, Like the whole thing 100%.

Sean Little (44:03):
It's crazy.

Nick Harvey (44:04):
But you feel me on the Trey Lance thing.
If he was Trey Lance and it wasthe same exact numbers, we'd be
like, oh they hit.

Sean Little (44:08):
No, we actually have a perfect example in Jordan
Love.
Jordan Love played half aseason really well, extremely
well, and he got a max deal.
This guy puts a guy hey, brock's been doing this for two
full seasons.

Nick Harvey (44:23):
Yeah.

Sean Little (44:29):
This is not like Jordan Love did it for eight
games in a row and got a brandnew sparkling deal, no questions
asked.
People are anointing him as thenext guy, Brock has done this
two years in a row, Came off anelbow, a UCL injury, Came right
back, Did it again and peoplestill don't want to give him
love.
So yeah, Jordan Love in GreenBay is a perfect example of that
.
If his name was different andmaybe if he looked a little

(44:50):
different he would have giventhis props.
Yeah.

Nick Harvey (44:55):
So yeah.

Sean Little (44:58):
So yeah, we can leave that there.
It is ridiculous.
Yeah, yeah, we got about 15more minutes.
I do want to talk about I don'twant to leave us too much time
on the Tyreek Hill because Idon't talk politics on this show
and that's a very politicallyloaded yes it is Politically
loaded topic but I do want totalk about.
I do want to talk about it.
But I want to talk about TomBrady first and Tom Brady in the

(45:28):
booth, because I've talked tomultiple people about this and I
think it's a very interestingtopic.
Now for those who don't know, tom brady's number one guy now
color guy on fox.
He's with kevin burkhart.
They did cowboys browns and ifyou didn't watch or listen, go
back and listen to it.
Those are the two games Iwatched and I've watched three
games back in full.
Yesterday I watchedColts-Texans, I watched Dallas
and the Cleveland and Ire-watched the Bears game.
I want to go back and watchthat Rams-Lions.

(45:50):
I'll do that today.

Nick Harvey (45:51):
You should watch Buffalo.
Buffalo and Arizona was a lotof fun.
Buffalo and Arizona was a lotof fun.
Yeah, that was a lot of fun.

Sean Little (46:03):
I'll go back and peep that as well, but we I hit
you on the tom thing for anotherguy and for me, being in the
business a little bit, I'venever done play by play on
national television, but itseemed like tom almost was just
tight and over prepared and thenlike just didn't know how to
respond or what to say incertain situations and Burkhart
didn't really help him out too,too much that's what I was

(46:26):
telling you, yeah.
There was a lot of, like yousaid, there was a lot of dead,
air Dead air.
Where Tom was just like hey, man, this is your time to say
some shit and put some color onwhat's going on.
It didn't help that the game wasbad, but the they didn't have a
lot of support for him.
They kind of thought that hewas just going to be out there

(46:47):
and just be able to talk throughevery situation and he was
having trouble in that spot.
You thought do you think tomwas just nervous or it's new?
I think it was just.
Yeah, he's a rookie too.

Nick Harvey (46:58):
He hasn't he hasn't done any tv like this.
Guy has been insulated for thepast 25 years.
He has not done TV shows.
He doesn't host things.
He doesn't dance with the starsNone of that shit.
Like for as famous as Tom Bradywas, he was very, very on task
as far as winning seven SuperBowls Like that wasn't his goal.

Sean Little (47:22):
Yeah, if he wasn't, it was real quick.
Drinking honey deuces in frontof everybody In a Prada shirt?
Yeah, exactly.

Nick Harvey (47:27):
He's a jarhead dude .
I mean, he's a jarhead.
He's been just locked in for Xamount of years.
So I think you bring him out ofthat environment.
And to your point, I told youyesterday I like Burkhart
Burkhart's very, but you pairRomo with Nance right.
You put him with these legendswho aren't going to allow that
dead air go.
Or Aikman with Buck, where Iknow Aikman's been doing this a
long time.
But still these guys who areextremely professional and know

(47:49):
how to handle that.
There were tons of times thatBurkhart left him hanging.
I'm thinking, if you're sittingnext to Tom Brady, pick his
brain about the situation that'sgoing on in the field and let
him elaborate on that.

Sean Little (48:00):
That will make him comfortable, tom, as a
quarterback.

Nick Harvey (48:02):
In this situation, what are you thinking about?
What are you looking at Afterthat three and out?
What are you going back andtalking about on the sidelines
with your offensive guy?
Who is it that you're dealingwith?
What are you looking at on thepages?
What happens on that surface,pro?
Walk us through that.
And then what you're going todo if you get him to start
talking football, right, and hisprocess, then you're going to

(48:24):
open it up, right?
I think they expected him to beRomo.
Romo is much more like type A.
We can see that Romo is arah-rah type guy, right, and
that's why people loved him inthe beginning.
That's not Tom, right.
Tom is much more for lack ofbetter terms subdued, but it's
there.
This is a fiery guy who'sincredibly intelligent and has a
perspective unlike anybody youhave ever had in that booth.

(48:45):
It is on them and the producersof that show and you know
better than me, I'm not a tv guy, but I'm assuming this is their
jobs to extract tom brady outof tom brady, that is their only
job the whole offseasonpreparing for that, running them
through dry runs.
kevin, you need to be throwingit to Tom in any high leverage
situation.
You need to be throwing it toTom in any confusion that's

(49:07):
going on and let him cook.
What you can't have Tom do isjust pick up the game action
he's not going to be good atthat.

Sean Little (49:13):
You got to set him up a little bit.

Nick Harvey (49:14):
That's a very nuanced thing that you learn
through years of TV, right?
I'm sure there areprofessionally trained
broadcasters who struggle withplay-by-play and color on a live
broadcast because it's notplanned, it's not a TV show,
it's not segmented.
So you got to like really guidehim along through that and make
him comfortable, can't just belike, hey man, go at it Like it

(49:35):
doesn't work that way.
So I thought they didn't reallydo him any favors.
But I also thought people Itweeted this the other day
people, people ready to be like,oh, this isn't gonna work.
This is tom brady we're talkingabout.
Where have you been if you thinkthat this dude is just gonna
wake up, be like hey, I suck atthis and decide to go do
something else.

Sean Little (49:51):
You haven't been paying attention no doubt it's
not gonna happen we, I'm notgoing out that way yeah, I was.
That this is.
I was actually fascinated bythis because, like you know, we
just assumed tom would come inand be grade number one a1 and
it wasn't that way in week one.
It's almost like someone toldhim to be someone he maybe

(50:14):
wasn't and he kind of was likethinking don't be rumble, don't
predict plays.
Yeah exactly like.
If you look at a guy likeeveryone loves, like
Collinsworth and I likeCollinsworth, some people don't
like Collinsworth, but I thinkoverall he brings this element
of just like a guy excited aboutwhat's going on and he's just
watching a football game at homeLike, oh look at this, Can you

(50:36):
believe how?
And like.
You know what I'm saying.
He it's not brady was brady, was just coming off wild, rigid
and he wasn't opening up andjust kind of chatting, talking
ball, and I think that's whatmakes collinsworth and some of
those guys likable.
When it comes to colorcommentary, you think burkhart
this is obviously a conspiracytheorist theory, but you think

(51:00):
burkhart was kind of like see, this is why you don't get rid of
my guy olsen like olsen was hisguy like you think he might?

Nick Harvey (51:07):
have also.
Is number two now right, or isalso yeah, no?

Sean Little (51:10):
also too.
Also too.
Yeah, they moved, they movedalso back.
But is it?
You think it's one of thosethings where like hey, like if
they put me and you in the boothwe've been working together for
years now and then they justtook you off and gave me someone
else and like, not, thatburkhart's not a professional,
but it's like, okay, he'ssupposed to be better than my
guy.
Like here's, here's some airtime go ahead.

Nick Harvey (51:32):
I would hope that's not.
I would hope that's not hisreality, because you got to make
it work.
But yeah, I don't think that'sthe case.
I just think they don't haveany chemistry and it's clear,
clear that they again, man, theydidn't.
You said it best.
Burkhart was not doing him anyfavors on that broadcast and if
I'm the producers and execs thisweek, I'm like, hey man, you
have to put it's just likefootball.

(51:52):
You got to put him in asituation where he can excel and
leaving him out there to callthe action as it's going or to
pick up on dead air.
He doesn't understand.
Am I all the action as it'sgoing or to pick up on dead air?
He, he doesn't understand.
Am I supposed to talk yet?

Sean Little (52:06):
like you know, like right, yeah, yeah burkhart yeah
, you're the tv veteran.

Nick Harvey (52:09):
Like, fucking, take the lead and tom will give you
the insight when he's ready todo that.
Um, yeah, so it's just anawkward situation.
It's also yeah, yeah, so Ithink it'll get better, um, and
I think we'll get what we wantfrom tom.
It just might take a little bitof time.
Man, he's also a perfectionist,so he's not the type of guy
who's gonna go out there andjust say some shit he wants to

(52:30):
make sure.
So to where?
To your point about him beingnervous?
He's probably like, is this theright thing to say?
This is a guy who is meticulousand perfect and needs to do
everything 100% right, so hemight not just not do it at all.
Yeah.

Sean Little (52:43):
Is it partly that he's built this Tom Brady facade
where, like he, no one reallyknows who he is, and that he
feels like he has to be acertain way and can't be himself
Because clearly Romo right offthe jump was just himself like?
This is how?
I'm gonna do it is is, tom, likeI am in the eyes of a lot of

(53:07):
people.
This is how I act or talk orlook, and this is how I kind of
I'm gonna go about this, becauseit just seemed like when you're
you're, when you act like that,or you're that tight or you're
not, it just it seemed like hewas trying to play to something
and that he just wasn't beinghimself and naturally talking
about what was going on.

Nick Harvey (53:28):
I think we're maybe under plan how tough it is to
do that gig like even yeah, yeah, and like you, you, you now
have what like four years of tv.
I still feel like if they threwyou in a booth for a live game
not not a, not a simulcast, likean actual fucking suited and
booted on the side you'dprobably have an awkward moment,
right, or even go back to whenyou first got on tv, right
you're one of the most personalpeople that I know.

(53:50):
But I'm sure if you were towatch some of your early tv
appearances you probably cringelike, oh my god, like what the
fuck?

Sean Little (53:55):
am I doing type shit?

Nick Harvey (53:56):
yeah, no, no yeah, it takes, it takes and that, and
those are much more comfortablesettings than being in a booth
in an arena.
It's just you two feet awayfrom Kevin Burkhardt doing this
whole pregame stare down thing, which is awkward, right?
So, like, I think it just takestime.
This is the first game and itwasn't a good game.
Let's also talk about that.
It was a game where you had tofill airtime because the game

(54:16):
was brutal.

Sean Little (54:21):
It was a blowout, so there wasn't a lot to talk
about.

Nick Harvey (54:23):
I think if you felt like such a good time to talk
like watson or something, thoughtoo.

Sean Little (54:26):
Yeah, yeah, like yes there was a lot of different
things that I felt like what?

Nick Harvey (54:29):
is the sean going through?
Tom?
Like you, you've seen this guy.
You've seen him perform at thehigh level.
You know the talents there.
Tell me what could possibly begoing on after missing two years
, tom, what was it like afteryou went down in week one
against?

Sean Little (54:42):
whoever the fuck yeah with the ACL.

Nick Harvey (54:45):
And then had to come back the next year, were
you?

Sean Little (54:46):
gun shy.

Nick Harvey (54:47):
Where's this happen ?
You know like, these are thingsthat, as a producer, you should
have queued up for him to talkabout, and you should tell him
ahead of time.
Tom, if Sean Watson struggles,we might go here Okay cool, I
will have insight on that.
If you and struggles, we mightgo here okay cool, I will have

(55:07):
insight on that.
Right, if you mean to tell metom brady can't talk about
playing quarterback for threehours, then you're crazy, right,
so they didn't do a good job.

Sean Little (55:11):
I thought that was a bad, bad.
Bad job by fox.

Nick Harvey (55:12):
Yeah, no doubt so it's not the guy to be with him
either, but you don't reallyhave burkhart's their number one
, so I mean yeah, yeah, yeah,we'll see, we'll see it is game
one and I'll help too that henext week they have Dallas again
he gets Dallas again.
One quick question on that Doyou think he would have done
better?
Because I guess they can'trecreate this, but would he have
done better in like the PeytonManning type scenario?
Peyton and Eli are verycomfortable in that show, and

(55:35):
how?

Sean Little (55:35):
they kind of do it Are they just chilling.
Well, yeah, that's why I thinkit was nerves, because if you
get Tom in like that podcastsetting where he sits with it's
going to be electric.
I can't remember his name.
Who's the guy that does boxingwhere Mayweather told him he
never liked him anyway?
Brian Kinney.

Nick Harvey (55:55):
Oh, no, no, no, no.
Brian Kinney Lampley no no no,tim Lampley.

Sean Little (55:58):
No, not Lampley.

Nick Harvey (56:01):
He said Brian Kinney, he goes.
Brian Kinney is the man who'sgood at a lot of things but not
great at anything.
That's one of the bestMayweather interviews ever.
Shout out to Floyd MoneyMayweather, oh Jim.

Sean Little (56:11):
Gray, jim Gray, jim Gray Jim.

Nick Harvey (56:13):
Gray.

Sean Little (56:13):
He does the pod with Jim Gray and if you listen
to that, remember he tried totake the mic out of Jim Gray's
hand, and if you listen to thatremember he tried to take the
mic out of Jim Gray's hand Wasthat you never give me a fair
shake.

Nick Harvey (56:22):
No, that was Howard .
You never give me a fair shake.

Sean Little (56:25):
That was the old dude If I was younger, I'd kick
your ass.
Yeah, Broder did it.
Gray had a couple instanceswhere he was going back and
forth with folks.
Jim Gray's a fiery guy.
Yeah, I like Jim Gray.
He's good at his job, job, soit's a legend him.
Him and brady have a pod andit's awesome the insight he like
they have other quarterbacks onand they chat and they've done

(56:45):
a whole bunch of things whereit's like, oh yeah, tom is going
to be unbelievable on tv.
I think that setting was justvery high.
It's just very high leverageand everybody was watching so
let's hear what tom's gonna say.
And he didn't have a lot to sayin a lot of spots and and that
was perplexing in some scenarios, especially yeah, do you make

(57:06):
it more of a Brady-centric Goahead.

Nick Harvey (57:09):
Yeah, I mean maybe Like a Brady-centric broadcast,
like hey, we have Tom, likereally play up to the fact that,
as opposed to just beinganother guy in the booth kind of
like they did, it was almostunderstated.
Like, kind of like they did, itwas almost understated.
I know he had the commercialsand the promo videos and all
that, but once it happened, it'skind of like I'm in the booth
with Tom Brady, whereas maybe itshould be this grandiose thing
of like hey, this is Tom fuckingBrady here.

(57:30):
Create a segment for himBrady's five points, or Brady's
seven points, because he hasseven Super Bowl rings.
Tom, give us seven things, giveus your seven rings of today,
all right?

Sean Little (57:39):
cool, you know, like shit, like that it's corny,
but it's good TV.

Nick Harvey (57:42):
You know Facts.

Sean Little (57:43):
Facts.

Nick Harvey (57:43):
Yeah facts.

Sean Little (57:44):
All right, we got a minute and a half.
You have any comments on TyreekHill getting cuffed up speeding
?
That was crazy.
The body cam footage comes out.
Overzealous People are going tobe like be like.

Nick Harvey (57:59):
Well, tyreek should have, you know, complied and
all that and was was he beingthe friendliest?
No, but he's also on his way towork.
He's outside the stadium.
The fuck are you pulling meover for?
Give me the ticket so I canmove on.
Cop number two uh crazy.

Sean Little (58:12):
That guy has to go.
He's a liability.
What does he do?

Nick Harvey (58:15):
liability.
He pulls him out the car, thengets behind him and chokes hold
him.

Sean Little (58:19):
Choke holds him says all types of crazy shit and
, honestly, tyreek hill waspretty calm after they started.

Nick Harvey (58:26):
Man I thought he was.
If I'm being completely honest,I wouldn't have been.

Sean Little (58:30):
I don't think at any point tyreek was out of
pocket outside of like hey, stopbanging on my window why are
you?
banging on my window like that, and then he rolled the window
down and then rolled it back up.
It's just a communication thing, man, be like yo listen.

(58:50):
Mr Hill, please keep yourwindow down, because I can't see
what you're doing through thetent and I don't want this to
escalate.
I'm not playing this game.
Get out the car.
Almost rips his door off on theMcLaren Like whoa, whoa, whoa,
whoa.
How did we get here Like?
This is unnecessary.

Nick Harvey (59:07):
So grabs him from behind, pushes him to the ground
, like the whole shit is crazy.
Then you put Calais Campbell inhandcuffs.
I'll tell this to Nick.
I'm like hey, calais Campbellis 38 years old, has been in the
NFL for 16 years, has been inthe NFL for 16 years, is the
Walter Payton man of the Yearand has won every single
community service award youcould possibly have in this
league.
There's ramifications forputting a dude like that in
cuffs.
Trust me, he went to Miami.

(59:30):
He is a member of the community, well-respected.
He probably is very plugged upin that community.
He gave the University of Miamia $3 million charitable
donation so I'm sure he can makea phone call or two, um, to
make things very uncomfortablefor those at city hall, and he's
probably doing that.
But yeah, whole situation wascrazy.
Man reminds me of the shepardsituation.
Yeah, it's crazy.
Shout out darlington, whoalways seems to be around this

(59:51):
stuff.
Give that man an extension.
He knows where to be, I knowJeff.
Darlington.
Knows where to be.
Knows where to be.

Sean Little (01:00:01):
Knows where to be.
Also shout out Drew Rosenhaus, because it is very clear.

Nick Harvey (01:00:07):
30 years of this.

Sean Little (01:00:08):
It is very clear that he has his boys back,
regardless of the situation.
He didn't say hey, nick, tyreekdidn't say hey, man call Mike
McDaniel, singular Call Drew,call Mike.

Nick Harvey (01:00:21):
Call Drew.

Sean Little (01:00:21):
Call Mike, call whoever Call Tua.
He said call Drew man.

Nick Harvey (01:00:29):
Right now.

Sean Little (01:00:29):
Call Drew bro.

Nick Harvey (01:00:31):
Call.

Sean Little (01:00:32):
Rosenhaus ASAP, bro , like, forget about that's the
first person that needs to knowwhat's going on.
Nobody else Not Mike McDaniel.
Don't call Stephen A Smith Call.

Nick Harvey (01:00:43):
Drew Rosenhaus.

Sean Little (01:00:44):
ASAP.
That was a big, big plus forDrew Rosenhaus.
It's clear that, no matter thesituation I need help, drew's
always got my back.

Nick Harvey (01:00:56):
Let me call Drew, have him hold me down, go back
to TL working out in hisdriveway.
It was 2001, 2002.
Drew Rosenhaus was fullyinvolved in that.
Shout out, drew Rosenhaus, epic.
What a time TO.
If you go back to that whole TOsaga of trying to get traded
from San Fran and working withSan Fran.

(01:01:17):
Was he trying to get?

Sean Little (01:01:17):
traded from San Fran or from Dallas?
He was in Philly at this point.
He was he trying to get startedfrom Dallas?

Nick Harvey (01:01:21):
he was in Philly at this point he was in Philly
working out in the driveway withhis shirt pretty sure he was in
Philly.

Sean Little (01:01:26):
But yeah, that was like pre big time Twitter too,
like that would have been oh mygod TO is one of a kind we're
