This weekend, Tyler continued our Controversial Christianity series by exploring how Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) can be understood and lived out through a biblical lens. While DEI is often controversial in culture, Tyler reminded us that these principles are deeply rooted in Scripture—not foreign to it.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion are central to God’s redemptive story. The Christian vision doesn’t conform to political ideologies; it transcends them—anchoring these values in the identity and mission of Jesus. In a polarized world, the Church is called not to echo partisan extremes, but to reflect the truth and love of God’s Word.
Rather than avoiding hard conversations or allowing secular institutions to shape the narrative, Tyler challenged us to lead with grace and conviction. The Church must be a beacon of unity, a community marked not by division, but by the reconciling power of the gospel.
