We continue our coverage of Wolf Pack, Jeff Davis' new show on Paramount+, with a discussion of the series premiere "From a Spark to a Flame" to kick off our weekly recaps. There may be some teen werewolves, but this show is pretty different from Teen Wolf. We have a lot of wild theories about what could happen over the course of the season, so tune in to meet Everett, Blake, Luna, and Harlan, and then let us know your first reactions to this new series.
- Just so you know, this is NOT a Teen Wolf spinoff.
- Should we expand our jurisdiction to consider other adolescent werewolves?
- Do you like mythology? Percy Jackson? Rick Riordan? Karen as a podcast host? If you answered yes to any of these questions, be sure to check out Prophecy Radio.
- We love the episode length for this show, and enjoy series that change episode length depending on what’s necessary for the story.
- This show feels so big already, and the drone shots probably have a lot to do with that.
- Would you be talking with your therapist on the school bus because we definitely wouldn’t.
- It’s immediately clear that although this show is about teen werewolves, it is quite an adult show.
- We’re choosing to be suspicious of the doctor JUST IN CASE.
- Blake tells us very early on and in no uncertain terms that she does not have a phone and that we wouldn’t understand why.
- We already knew this show was going to be about the impact technology has on us, but that scene with Austin proves it.
- How important are the kids on the bus gonna be to the rest of the story?
- So…this show is gonna be violent.
- We have a lot of questions about the ram. And Karen has a really bad joke.
- At first, we didn’t like that we didn’t see Everett and Blake get bitten, but it makes sense why they chose that.
- We were REALLY into the opening credits.
- What is the show trying to say about having online friends!?
- We’re still trying to figure out how many players are on the board.
- Some of the voices on the phones sound VERY familiar.
- We are not fans of Everett’s parents, even if his dad is super nice.
- We totally had a moment when Sarah Michelle Gellar came on screen.
- Our first theory went out the window, so why doesn’t Blake have a phone? What’s the big deal with this?
- She does not want to deal with this whole werewolf thing AT ALL.
- This is show is very Adult, but not Adult Like Porn.
- Where is Blake’s mother? Does it have anything to do with the fact that Danny has autism?
- Who bit Everett!? Is it possible that it was Luna?
- We’re so confused and intrigued about all the visions and memories and weird psychic moments.
- We liked the running effects when Blake ran back to her house.
- How big of a role will Danny have in the series once Blake enters the pack?
- It’s so interesting that normal people can’t see the werewolf bite.
- Blake is insistent that they are not in this together.
- We get a pretty good look at the werewolf, but this doesn’t really answer any of our questions.
- What does it mean that it takes about half the episode until we’re introduced to the twins?
- Why is there a rave in the middle of a forest fire?
- Harlan and Luna are pretty different, to say the least.
- We love that each of the kids have individualized specialties.
- If it’s not the full moon yet, what’s going on with their enhanced powers?
- It sounds like the disconnect between Harlan and Garrett is recent.
- Why are they so focused on the fact that this monster could be their father, and not their mother?
- Those messages Garrett was recording for his kids were intense.
- The ex
