Het is zomerreces in Den Haag. In deze periode tussen de val van het kabinet en de start van een nieuwe verkiezingscampagne nodigen we in Haagse Zaken schrijvers, wetenschappers en denkers uit om het te hebben over de politieke tijd waarin we leven. Omdat er het afgelopen jaar zoveel is gebeurd en alles zo snel is gegaan zoomen we graag een beetje uit.
Deze week zijn twee columnisten te gast. Dilara Bilgiç schreef de boeken De Black Box Democratie en De Gelabelde, werkt als cultuursensitief psycholoog en schrijft columns voor het Parool. Maxim Februari schreef talloze romans, essays en boeken waaronder in 2023 het boek Doe Zelf Normaal. Na een pauze van twee jaar is hij sinds kort weer terug als columnist bij NRC.
In deze aflevering van Haagse Zaken reflecteren we op de rol van columnist en de verantwoordelijkheid van (nieuws)media, blinde vlekken en de raakvlakken van psychologie en politiek.
