to you by Ford Everest. On a sunny Saturday afternoon
in the nation's capital, the Raiders broke a thirty five
years drought to claim the minor premiership. The capped off
an incredible season for Ricky Stewart and while he saved
the moment, the camera coach has his sites firmly set
on an even bigger prize.

Speaker 3 (00:41):

premiership in thirty five years, where the crowd is standing.

Speaker 4 (00:48):
This is extraordinary.

Speaker 5 (00:49):
Here Fogody goes to the air the win drag get
back in at Charuba.

Speaker 3 (00:54):
Ohna checks to it tens to its fogun so even
post run down the bed of.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
Strange early Bill. So Sonny goes for It's a song
to dive off.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
No what I shot A Skelton has crushed strange but
strange straight back up.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
It's Skelton is paying the price. What is says? It's
strange made off. He is an off light topany a
white stra heard ship.

Speaker 4 (01:27):
The coms he is coming.

Speaker 3 (01:30):
The camera for the first time in thirty five years.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
I can unpack it down. I could get rid of
the bubble wrap.

Speaker 6 (01:37):
They've just been very consistently. You might have've just worked
real hard and the system been wonderful season for him,
sci Fi and you know, you win this competition, but
the big ones you have to come. That's yeah, that
was That's the one that you'll want to win it
as a big four or five weeks ahead of the
six weeks ahead of us.

Speaker 1 (01:55):
Welcome to Golden Tallas, Buzz row Field and Brent Reid
and the They just break a thirty five years drought
to secure the minor premiership. What a team, what a game,
what a performance, What a coach Gordy, What a season
it has been for the Camber Raiders.

Speaker 7 (02:09):
Sitting on the couch, you know the scenes, it was fantastic.

Speaker 8 (02:13):
I had to go down there in the middle of winter.

Speaker 7 (02:15):
And play some of those great raided side with this
side is just as good. I know they're young and
their names mightn't be as big, but what they've done
this year to get that whole community behind them, sell
out crowd. It was great scenes when they wheeled the
trophy in and they they got to hold it up
and it's a great story.

Speaker 8 (02:32):
At the moment, mate.

Speaker 9 (02:34):
I think most of us thought this time next week
they'd be out on mad Monday. They started brilliantly in
Las Vegas with that warrious game. They had a real
tough travel schedule those first step they overcame it all.
And it is so good for rugby league to have
such a team that plays such attractive football.

Speaker 10 (02:54):
About the end of the finals and.

Speaker 11 (02:56):
They're just never beaten. Buzz are they were sitting all
year with them. They play with such passion and and
look you said, there are plenty of people out there
to right the min said they win the spoon. Some
blokes some.

Speaker 4 (03:08):
Name, you know what.

Speaker 1 (03:09):
I don't want to I don't want to mention mich
whel carry on where you haven't.

Speaker 11 (03:14):
I had him out of the eight. I didn't have
a mask, so breat you know, you know the one
Adam so I imagined. I knew they win games at home.
I knew that they would win the spoon because they
always win games at home. And Ricky such a passionate guy.
But he's done an amazing job, Rickstar.

Speaker 4 (03:28):
But there's some marks out there.

Speaker 1 (03:29):
There's plenty of arcs questioning their draw and saying that
they haven't played the top eight teams as much as others, and.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
What do you say to them, Well.

Speaker 10 (03:38):
That happens all the time.

Speaker 9 (03:39):
People question the integrity of the draw because not everyone
plays the top eight side.

Speaker 4 (03:43):
And you've been in the lab again, bus No, this.

Speaker 10 (03:46):
Is not mine. This was I think sent to much
different today.

Speaker 9 (03:50):
But as that graphic showed out, the Roosters have only
had The Raiders have only had eight games against the
top eight sides, which you know is softsh Well, clubs
like the Roosters have had twelve games against top eight side, Storm, Bulldogs,
Broncos have had eleven. However, I spoke about their schedule.

(04:11):
No other club went from Las Vegas to Townsville to Darwin,
to Auckland, to Gold Coast to Briston.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
You forgot to mention two bars. They only had eight,
but they won seven of them.

Speaker 8 (04:23):
That's a great record.

Speaker 1 (04:24):
So yeah, they didn't play that as many top eight
teams as success.

Speaker 4 (04:29):
Raid is well above the others.

Speaker 11 (04:31):
Well, that's what I take out of it when I
look at that breath. Well, I take out of that
is they won seven of eight games against top eight sides,
So that to me shows they're legit, like, you can't
say that a soft draw. They beat when they played
the top sides, they put them to the sword. That's
all we can ask.

Speaker 9 (04:46):
The other important thing is when I spoke about that
horrific travel schedule was a bad draw. They did not
have a bye. They had their three of them in
the second round of the season. So what Ricky has
done with that site He is such a odds on
favorite to win.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
He has to win it. Now you think it's a
two horse race.

Speaker 1 (05:06):
Yeah, ready, you've got You've got Melbourne and you've got
the Raiders, and you think no one else.

Speaker 11 (05:11):
I think the rest of them just about put it
on through just no pen cannot win it. They will
play it Brisbane Brisbane. My my only caveat is that
Brisbane finished top four. I think they're dangerous, right but Penrith.
Everyone's talking Penrith and they rested sixteen players. But I
said it to me, that's just a hail Mary because

(05:33):
they know they're on lofts.

Speaker 8 (05:34):
No dogs, the way they the.

Speaker 11 (05:36):
Dogs, the way they're going at the moment, I not
playing well enough. So for me, they're the obvious two
stand outside.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
That's brave, cool Reckon you've had the red penny out
a few times this year.

Speaker 11 (05:46):
I've written off pen with a few times over the
past four years. Yes, they're probably happy all the time,
have you Penrith for example, you look at their draw,
they're gonna have to probably travel the Shark Park or
the Warriors week one of the finals.

Speaker 8 (06:01):
I don't think it worries them.

Speaker 5 (06:02):
They don't have a then they've got to win that
they don't forgetting ready is whether you like it or not,
Ivan is freshen them up and they've got to go bang, bang,
bang and bang and win four straight when I.

Speaker 11 (06:16):
Think it's beyond I don't think they can do it.
They can't win four games for not Firth, not for
at that time of the year, in that competition, all
on the road, Gordy and they will all be on
the road. No, they cannot win it.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
All right, blockbuster final round on Fox League. Make sure
you check it out. I know everyone will. Now let's
have a look at the ladder because there are teams
jockeying four positions and we've done the top ten here.
Now the big fight is on for top four. Brisbane
Cornla and the New Zealand Warriors and of course, the
top eight there with the Roosters and the Dolphins mainly
are a long shot. It's looking unlikely, but that will

(06:50):
be a battle there who gets that position. But the
fight for four, let's let's let's look at that. Let's
let's dive into that a little bit closer. Now, Broncos
one out, one back, Coronala are beg chance and the
Warriors well that they're looking unlikely as well. Right, So
how do you guys see it? How is this going
to pan out? Where have you got this finishing?

Speaker 4 (07:10):
Well?

Speaker 7 (07:11):
Brisbane have to beat Melbourne and that's a and that's
a big task of that. I don't think they have
in the past. You know, if you're betting men, you
probably say the Sharks, right. But it's a funny game
rugby league. So I think Brisbane are a chance of
beating Melbourne. I reckon this is all eggs in the basket.

Speaker 9 (07:25):
Yeah, I think it's worked against the Broncos. That t
used Craig Bellamy's word Melbourne storm was so embarrassing last
week that would I think stop him resting more players
this week and demand a much improved performance. So I
don't think I think that game is even money. If ever,
I've seen one the Sharks, they I think they'll win.

(07:48):
So I think the Broncos are going to have to
beat Marks, beat the dogs.

Speaker 10 (07:52):
I think they can.

Speaker 9 (07:54):
I would not be surprised at all of Cammon look
pretty freshly players. Yeah, they are looking for st I
know you want to bring up your army camp in
the second.

Speaker 4 (08:02):
Camp, want to be any of them? I was just
look fresh on Luis.

Speaker 10 (08:05):
What did you think of his halftime address the other day?

Speaker 4 (08:08):
I thought it was inspiring.

Speaker 9 (08:09):
I wasn't didn't remind you of tales from Tiger Town.

Speaker 7 (08:13):
All rights of a Bronco you reckon's have.

Speaker 4 (08:17):
A look at the race for the eight Roosters.

Speaker 1 (08:20):
Well, now I said this in the last few weeks,
going to tell you're on the bunny. We know how
much the bunnies hate the roosters. The fans are fired up.
This is going to be electric. It really is, because
if the bunnies want to ruin or spoil anyone's party,
it is the Sydney Roosters.

Speaker 8 (08:36):
Yeah. I just don't think sous and I don't think
they have the form.

Speaker 7 (08:41):
So they say Murray might be back. They say that
they're going to get a lot of their troops back
Trels not playing. The troll won't play?

Speaker 8 (08:49):
Is that one hundred percent came.

Speaker 11 (08:51):
From a bloke who should know that pinching of his
next no good? So it looks like he won't play.

Speaker 4 (08:56):
Who they come from?

Speaker 11 (08:59):
Come from the tro the coach.

Speaker 8 (09:02):
Yeah he's out there.

Speaker 4 (09:04):
We'll get to the roos out there.

Speaker 9 (09:05):
What about Camerin Murray who hasn't played all season with achilles,
he's talking about coming back to get.

Speaker 4 (09:11):
At these bars.

Speaker 1 (09:12):
I want to focus on the eighth position here.

Speaker 11 (09:14):
Can I just say something about the fall?

Speaker 4 (09:16):
You can say whatever you like.

Speaker 11 (09:17):
There's every chance this week the Brisbane Coronella and the
Warriors lose. Pen missed an opportunity here. I mean, if
they played well, played the top side last weekend, they'd
have been on thirty three. If all those three sides
fall over this.

Speaker 1 (09:30):
Week, likely that you think Penrith will win the I
think it's unlikely that all three teams are going to lose.

Speaker 11 (09:36):
Brisbane got Melbourne, but you and the Warriors have got manly.
There's every chance they'll be the Warriors Warriors a shot
to bits.

Speaker 1 (09:47):
Please Ken, Are we saying Dolphins know or we're saying Dolphins.

Speaker 10 (09:53):
Yes, well, no, I think.

Speaker 9 (09:56):
I've got no doubt in all that the way they
played against Melbourne, they need to win.

Speaker 10 (10:01):
It's all.

Speaker 11 (10:03):
I'm not putting the line through the Dolphins. The Roosters
have been there. They've been up and down this year,
and I know they were good in the second half
the other night, but their first.

Speaker 4 (10:10):
Who's finishing eighth?

Speaker 11 (10:10):
Ready, I think the Dolphins finish. I think South will
get them.

Speaker 7 (10:13):
Okay, Look, I walked down to sun Corp and the
Dolphins is are real, like they want to play finals,
and there's a hope and there's a glimmer I hope
they like they were desperate to win yesterday.

Speaker 8 (10:23):
To keep there.

Speaker 7 (10:27):
But you know what South South and ease and play
these games one each.

Speaker 10 (10:33):
I was playing, but Wayne stropped the scoop with ready
if the.

Speaker 9 (10:38):
Trail was playing, told any porky pies, I don't know,
we don't we don't we send.

Speaker 4 (10:47):
The occasion has been sold plenty dummies in the past.
It could be one of the one of the better ones.

Speaker 1 (10:52):
Now everyone has been winging or not winging split on
this debating. I would say the resting of the Panthers
and sick team players, But Buzz, you have a solution.

Speaker 10 (11:03):
Well, it's not my actual solution.

Speaker 9 (11:05):
Solution that Graham Annesley came up with many years ago
to have this wild card weekend where it'll stop team's
resting players. Is so after twenty seven rounds, the top
six get a weekend off seven plays ten, eight plays
nine for the right to take the last two spots.

Speaker 10 (11:27):
In the finals.

Speaker 9 (11:28):
It's gathered momentum since Cleary rested his entire playing squad
with the line of thinking he won't want two rests
in three weeks. He'll keep playing. He'll have to avoid
finishing seventh or eighth. Smart people in the game like
Blake Sally Dave Donaghy are now supporting it, and I

(11:52):
think there's mild support.

Speaker 7 (11:53):
I think I think it's got merit. But it doesn't
stop pen from still resting players. If you're going to
finish seventh, eighth, ninth or tenth and your players need
a rest, you're going to rest them.

Speaker 8 (12:04):
It's not going to stop. So they give them a
week off.

Speaker 11 (12:07):
Nothing to stop wrestling. I'll get I'll tell you why,
Buzz penrith and they sip as they sip right now
when it will finish seventh or sixth, Get this right,
seventh or eighth.

Speaker 10 (12:20):
You've just answered the question.

Speaker 11 (12:22):
But if it was seven, eight, nine, ten playing a
World Card weekend, they're locked in. They would have got
a home follow anyway, Look at that ladder, they'll finished
seventh or eighth. They can't move so then they so
they would rest players this week.

Speaker 9 (12:36):
I can't know how I can properly explain it to you.
He wouldn't have rested them last week, We rest them
this week.

Speaker 10 (12:43):
Knowing that he had to make that So you really
this week?

Speaker 9 (12:47):
You really think he rested this week because he wouldn't
want to make the top six.

Speaker 4 (12:52):
They still going to keep all the top six. Look
at the ladder.

Speaker 10 (12:55):
They played last week and won, they would have made
the top seed.

Speaker 4 (12:58):
And if they'd lost.

Speaker 11 (12:59):
What they did, but they would to say the rest.

Speaker 10 (13:01):
Of the players this week, they made a mistake.

Speaker 9 (13:03):
They've got to finish in the before will make your
mind buzz.

Speaker 11 (13:07):
They're going to finish seventh, right regardless, they would rest
players this week.

Speaker 10 (13:12):
Maybe it's not going to say one number last week.

Speaker 7 (13:14):
You're not going to notice people are overseeing them. Penwuth
have played in four grand finals. Their top players would
averaged probably forty more games in the last four years
than most sides that haven't played the eighth. They deserve arrest,
They've played a full season their top players. To give
them one weekend off, they deserve it.

Speaker 4 (13:33):
They can flex their muscles.

Speaker 9 (13:35):
But while I'm saying is and that's why I like
wild card, we can is because the top six clubs
get that baronus of arrest.

Speaker 7 (13:45):
Yes, your I agree with that. No, no, and I
agree with that. You just talk about resting at once.

Speaker 10 (13:50):
Came the classeetition.

Speaker 9 (13:52):
It keeps more fans engaged trying to finish ninth.

Speaker 1 (13:56):
Or they tell me why a team finishes tenth and
has a chance to make the finals?

Speaker 4 (14:01):
Can we explain that to me?

Speaker 9 (14:02):
Well, it's like saying a team that's run eighth, should
they in the seventeen teen times finished in this top At.

Speaker 11 (14:10):
Least most teams in finished eighth win more games than
they lose.

Speaker 9 (14:13):
Under this But under this system, teams that run seventh
or eighth are going to have lesser chance of doing
a miracle and going through in that they've got this
extra game to play.

Speaker 11 (14:24):
Why don't we just have fourteen teams in the finals.
Buzz or sixteen. Oh right, just going up to everyone,
I can't everyone metal butt ago.

Speaker 9 (14:35):
I wish we could get a producer to rewind it.
You said Penrith may have cost himself a top four
by resting, and now you don't.

Speaker 11 (14:43):
Know because you've you've proposed a solution the resting that
doesn't solve resting.

Speaker 9 (14:48):
So you're saying, Blake Sally's got no idea, Dave Donahe's
got no idea.

Speaker 10 (14:53):
No, Well you are you knows.

Speaker 2 (14:59):
When agains?

Speaker 10 (15:00):
Well, that's that's who I rang the first two.

Speaker 4 (15:03):
I ran two is not really going on?

Speaker 8 (15:05):
What did you ring us to?

Speaker 4 (15:06):
Okay? On this?

Speaker 11 (15:07):
The miscoded you respect because if you think this is
a solution of resting, you're kidding yourself.

Speaker 4 (15:12):
Well, it's not going to say I'll tell you what
we'll do.

Speaker 9 (15:15):
Let's say what the AFL does everyone rests no for
on weekend?

Speaker 11 (15:19):
Well, you're about to get rid of that concept because
what it does is it rewards the bottom four teams
in the eight It freshens them up as well when
they don't deserve to be freshened up. So you're about
to get rid of that concept. Apparently, if it's a
twenty team competition. You're where it's probably more merit to it, right, right?

Speaker 4 (15:35):
Do you agree with that? Yeah? I do.

Speaker 9 (15:37):
And these officials both said that let's wait until at
an eighteen team competition and start at them when the
Perth Bears come in. I actually think it's a very
very good idea. I love fan engagement.

Speaker 4 (15:49):
I would love what are the fans? Aren't you got
any feedback to the fans?

Speaker 10 (15:53):
I've had no one's bagging it.

Speaker 11 (15:55):
I don't mind the concept. What I'm saying is it
will not solve resting.

Speaker 8 (15:58):
Same here.

Speaker 4 (15:59):
I also you sort of.

Speaker 11 (16:02):
Rewards too many teams only they deserve it merely, miss
I'm going.

Speaker 10 (16:06):
To reward them reading the teams that rewards.

Speaker 9 (16:09):
That rewards the top six teams by getting a week off.

Speaker 11 (16:12):
But it doesn't solve the problem.

Speaker 10 (16:14):
Does It makes seventh to eighth and ninth.

Speaker 4 (16:16):
And extra round as well?

Speaker 9 (16:19):
Yeah, so what happens you've been the comp back to
twenty six weeks?

Speaker 10 (16:23):
Okay said twenty seven weeks, you'd have a.

Speaker 9 (16:25):
Double head on a Saturday night the week before the
proper finals start with the seventh, first, tenth, eight, first, nine,
of course Stadium, sun Corp Stadium, massive, massive, sudden death,
television ratings, big crowds.

Speaker 10 (16:39):
On the top six, they.

Speaker 11 (16:41):
Would played Alliance or Suncorp double head. Is that what
you're suggesting.

Speaker 9 (16:45):
I'm suggesting on a Saturday that you could play one
game at five point thirty and on the next game.

Speaker 10 (16:51):
Are there any other.

Speaker 8 (16:53):
Forms to pickle?

Speaker 4 (16:54):
Look at this actually scare me. Sometimes that actually.

Speaker 11 (16:58):
Gives no one a homeground event. So they will allo it.

Speaker 4 (17:01):
They will all rest.

Speaker 11 (17:02):
Their players the week before World Cup weekend because they're
not trying to win a home final. They're not trying
to win a home more.

Speaker 7 (17:08):
Fans in the game, buzz I give it a tick,
you know. And if some teams have a lot of injuries,
you know, and they still make the top eight, I
think they can have a chance.

Speaker 9 (17:16):
I wanted to get out of a situation where last
Thursday night at the Course Stadium you won't The Canterbury
Bulldogs were gifted two competition points, gifted.

Speaker 4 (17:30):
Sixteen players.

Speaker 10 (17:31):
Let me finish ever ever happened.

Speaker 9 (17:33):
Every other side that's played Penrith this year have had
to work their backsides off and to get those two points,
Canterbury were gifted them.

Speaker 10 (17:43):
There is no integrity in this camp. While six.

Speaker 9 (17:46):
I don't mind arresting what Ricky is doing six, seven,
even eight, but just just so.

Speaker 7 (17:51):
You can rest. Date they could be your best place.
But you can't rest.

Speaker 9 (17:54):
But you don't wipe out your whole squad and rob
the fans say.

Speaker 4 (18:03):
Let's let's move on. Let's move on.

Speaker 9 (18:05):
It's very hard to talk sense into you.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
You over there, it's I was doing your favorite out
of it.

Speaker 9 (18:17):
But I think we should move on, and let's ignore
these really smart officials and you three know more than them.

Speaker 4 (18:26):
All right, next place, you've made a good point.

Speaker 8 (18:29):
You probably do about footing.

Speaker 1 (18:30):
You didn't make a good point with the rest of
ok Now, the Panther's going to rest anyone this week
because if they don't, the Dragons will.

Speaker 4 (18:36):
They could get ugly or not.

Speaker 11 (18:38):
I don't think they are. I don't think it could
really get ugly for the Dragons because you've got a
lot of blokes who are playing the last game.

Speaker 4 (18:45):
So full strength. With thinking Peth this well.

Speaker 11 (18:46):
Strength, i'd imagine fresh ready to go dragons seasons over. Yeah,
I think that they're not really careful. Dragons could get
real messing.

Speaker 9 (18:55):
You can't keep resting players. You know, footballs are going
to be hard and match fit.

Speaker 10 (19:01):
You can't, you know, you can't.

Speaker 9 (19:04):
Yeah, a lot of clubs like really hard, tough games
going into the finals to prepare themselves, you know.

Speaker 7 (19:10):
If it's another club. But as I said, they've been
in four Grand finals. They would have played forty odd games,
which is a full season. So I think they have
a right to do whatever they need to do to
make sure that they play finals and play to the best.

Speaker 9 (19:21):
Of their agreed, they've got the right, and I think
the rule needs to be changed to stop them having
the right.

Speaker 1 (19:26):
Ready culor by losses for the Dragons. What's the noise
coming out of there at the moment.

Speaker 11 (19:31):
Oh, I can't imagine. It's happy, can't break. I mean,
as you said, they've sort of tailed off as the
seasons come to an end and things aren't going great
at the moment. So the god, I've really spoken to
anyone there, but my feeling is that it's not great
and they're looking forward to next year.

Speaker 9 (19:48):
But that's a feel, and that's a pretty serious like
the players are off the coach.

Speaker 11 (19:53):
I didn't say that.

Speaker 4 (19:54):
Well, it's like when you.

Speaker 9 (19:55):
Say there's a bad feeling inside the four walls of
the club, which is basically.

Speaker 11 (19:59):
Things aren't going great. That's my sense.

Speaker 10 (20:00):
There was some games in the scoreboard shows that doesn't it.

Speaker 11 (20:03):
Okay, So you're GroE with me.

Speaker 1 (20:04):
No, no, I just you know if you heard anything here,
because I feel there's some tension in the air.

Speaker 11 (20:11):
Bother that some players are unhappy. Obviously, but that's why
the players are leaving, because it was that's what Buzz said.

Speaker 4 (20:18):
It feels like that you're insinuating that.

Speaker 11 (20:20):
Yeah, well, I think we've all heard it, haven't we.
You've heard it, Well, there's some players that are unhappy
without I'm unfolded.

Speaker 9 (20:27):
Look, I've sort of heard you know that There's been
some question marks there different periods of the season. We
had the Burger story midyear, and you know, a hand
signal that was apparently directed at Carl Flanagan and that
sort of thing. But I think when you look back
on this season, you give them a pass mark, just

(20:48):
the past mark, because they were a bit like the
Raiders in my view.

Speaker 4 (20:53):
I wish you were my teacher.

Speaker 11 (20:55):
Blimey, class, have we got the lad Where are they.

Speaker 4 (20:59):
Are they coming? I don't even know.

Speaker 10 (21:02):
The coming fifteen fifteen? You're passing that I might give
the minus.

Speaker 11 (21:07):
But it's a huge off season for Flannel. I mean
they haven't. They haven't recruited particularly well if you have
someone who Daniel Atkinson and he's got a big off
season ahead of him.

Speaker 1 (21:15):
All right, Friday night at Amy Park, the stage was
set for one of our greatest ever coaches to celebrate
an incredible milestone, but the Roosters had other ideas.

Speaker 3 (21:27):
There is Craig Belovey looking on the epitome of a perfections,
never accepts medioperty and he'll ex meant nothing on the
bench of the Melbourne Storm.

Speaker 2 (21:36):
Tonight here we go is the Melbourne Storm and the
Sydney Roosters.

Speaker 3 (21:40):
Last time pent Houses shot pass just beautiful and a short.

Speaker 2 (21:47):
He comes to Peasant, he comes war break, contack the
sec is.

Speaker 3 (21:52):
In Man's smiths stopcats himself there at goal part no
longer an a y times he hits on Charley, sho
you on log E thise back. Roosters in again and
so would have been found there ords out and I
said it's been they could get foot, they couldn't get Fota.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
Radley get rid of it. Yeah, roosters on fire. So
red Ley links up somebods A white it's on again.
See you like at times to the scot Boy one
of the great attencive stars.

Speaker 3 (22:32):
When they get going, they are gonna put forty on
Melbourne in one half.

Speaker 12 (22:38):
I can't think of I can't think of a couple
of words, but I probably can't say them. But on
on on that second half. So that was forty zero
in a half ft that's embarrassing. That's about the best
nicest word I could use.

Speaker 4 (22:52):
That was the turning point.

Speaker 1 (22:53):
The actually my medical centers, craig belly was filthy, the
roosters crash, the Melbourne's door and Craigs party.

Speaker 4 (23:02):
But one question I've got where were you ready on
the weekend?

Speaker 1 (23:06):
Oh?

Speaker 11 (23:06):
I was in Melbourne Brook. Yeah, I was at the
stadium whereabouts. I watched the game in Craig's box. Actually,
look at me hiding. I was hiding mind ally either
great mic I was saving. Craig didn't see me. He
wasn't in the best of moods.

Speaker 4 (23:19):
How was the experience? How did you get in there?
Talkust through this one?

Speaker 11 (23:22):
So I went down there for craig six hundred dinner
on Wednesday night and afterwards on Thursday, the out of
Captain's run I just went up to him and said, Craig,
I've got a bit of an amber claim. I probably
know the answer to this. Was there any chance for
you six hundred that come watch the game in your
box with you and do a story so you'll get
to see the story? He said, okay, that was it,

(23:43):
and I went in the box. He did not on
a word to me the whole time. I basically hid
outside the door. He walked in the room, I snuck
in the back, stood there and watched it unfold.

Speaker 8 (23:54):
It going and anything. Did you learn anything what you
don't see you on TV?

Speaker 11 (23:58):
Because I'll tell you what I noticed about him. He
obviously explodes right when things don't go well, but man,
he switches back on straight away so he'll vent and
then he'll be back on the job. That's what That's
what I noticed about him. I think we all think
he's a raving lunatic in that box at times, but
he's not very calm. Second half, second half, he was
a bit dodging.

Speaker 4 (24:19):
You're taking that responsibility for that none at all.

Speaker 8 (24:21):
Brother.

Speaker 11 (24:22):
I tried to tip him a couple of things.

Speaker 8 (24:23):
But.

Speaker 9 (24:25):
I don't expect you'll be invited back to that second half,
but had to go before.

Speaker 10 (24:31):
I think, listening to Ready's story, there's a lesson here
for clubs.

Speaker 8 (24:36):
Do not.

Speaker 4 (24:38):
The background. Are you doing stats there? We win eight
in a row.

Speaker 10 (24:43):
Yeah, there's a lesson in here. Do not have a
journalist in your box.

Speaker 9 (24:47):
So I went to Lorry Daily, similar to what Ready
did with belly Ate, and I said to him before
the game, can I sit in your box and do
a live report?

Speaker 10 (24:55):
Take everyone inside the coaching box. I remember we was here.

Speaker 9 (24:58):
There was Larry, Matt Parrish, the assistant, Gavin Wood who
was a security guy, Gave and Robbie Farrell was there too,
he was out injured. The school line was fifty six
to Queensland.

Speaker 4 (25:13):
Uncle I had a tape.

Speaker 10 (25:14):
We called it going You Too.

Speaker 9 (25:18):
I wish I'd kept the tape to play the Lorry
someday because I would have edited every second word.

Speaker 10 (25:25):
Lorry's the loveliest bloke as you all know.

Speaker 9 (25:27):
But that was such a pressurized situation that night, as
Queensland just bashed us.
