Speaker 1 (00:02):
So mental skills is a one of the big themes.

Speaker 2 (00:05):
But all I know is we've got to get better.
And that's why we're here.

Speaker 1 (00:10):
The next couple of days eavy situations that are uncomfortable.
Number one reason we are here is to try and
help us win the premiership in twenty twenty five boys
as a trophy sitting there that seventeen teams have equal
rights to it all matters and this year basically it
matters again.

Speaker 3 (00:28):
Back in Vegas, when the premiership coach began steering his
Panthers towards five straight, betcha, he's thinking about gifted opponents
like this guy, like the Storm Captain Harry Grant, all thunder.

Speaker 2 (00:44):
And lightning, very very frightening.

Speaker 3 (00:49):
Suddenly the twenty twenty five finals arrived, all live here
on Fox League. First up this Friday night. It's the
Melbourne Storm and the care every Banks down Bulldogs Gaitoa
versus Kickou ouch ouch ouch Cam Munster gone like a

(01:10):
breath of wind, and Stephen Crichton imagine him coming out
a runaway truck with no driver.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
The dog.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
Saturday Saturday from two point thirty sudden death Finals football
and we're across the ditch on higher word for the
New Zealand Warriors and the Amith Panthers. Despite coach Cleary's
preseason theatrics, these Panthers they appeared cactus running dead, last

(01:46):
of the seventeen teams after twelve rounds of competition. Seventeenth
then the magic return.

Speaker 4 (01:58):
The big show back on the row.

Speaker 3 (02:01):
Warrior's coach Andrew Webster's no stranger, having performed as Ivan
Cleary's assistant at the Panthers for their twenty twenty one
and twenty twenty two premiership triumphs. With his inside knowledge,
Webster pinched Kiwi international James Fisher Harris from Penrith.

Speaker 2 (02:20):
Yeah, and he found.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
Lacquer Hellesima in New Zealand rugby. Lacquer the Wrecker. Saturday
ninth Sudden death again this time the Sharks and the Roosters.

Speaker 5 (02:37):
Here we go.

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Stay calm, stay clear, ready.

Speaker 3 (02:40):
Craig Fitzgibbon and Trent Robinson they're old mates, which is
rare with coaches in our game. Fitzi served as Robbo's
assistant for the Chucks' three last premierships twenty thirteen, eighteen
and nineteen. But it will be all bets off come
Saturday night. For the inform Roosters there's the high flying

(03:03):
Wars and then get out.

Speaker 6 (03:04):
Of here options shit played rugby league.

Speaker 3 (03:09):
And for the Sharks there's Nico Hines for finesse and
then there's Adam Fanua Blake as in.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
None of your business, buddy.

Speaker 7 (03:19):
Good yeah good one.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
Then Sunday two point thirty.

Speaker 6 (03:25):
This is what.

Speaker 3 (03:26):
Finals football's all about. The Raiders and the Broncos.

Speaker 5 (03:31):
Now that's gonna do.

Speaker 4 (03:32):
The broadcast rolled up? What a matcher?

Speaker 2 (03:35):
Don't you just love rugby league?

Speaker 3 (03:37):
The last time these two men in finals was nineteen
ninety five, still rated one of the greatest rugby league
matches ever. In the halves alone, it was Laurie Daily
versus Kevin Walters, captains Ricky Stewart and Alan langer Stick
and Alfie. History shows the IS won four to eight eight,

(04:01):
but trust me there was no loser.

Speaker 2 (04:05):
This time around.

Speaker 3 (04:06):
It's Hudson Young and Ethan Strange up against Greece, Walsh
and playing hers.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
How's that lies the way I like it?

Speaker 6 (04:17):
Right?

Speaker 1 (04:22):
Go watch live footy, not ads.

Speaker 6 (04:27):
So let's go eight teams, eight games the NRL Finals
right here on Fox League.

Speaker 8 (04:43):
Welcome to three sixty Rugby League from every angle, brought
to you by Regain joining me again the great Gordon Tallas,
Dan Gaine and Dave Rickyo.

Speaker 2 (04:51):
And the finals are only two days away.

Speaker 8 (04:54):
In every game is right here on Fox League, starting
on Friday with Storm up against the Bulldogs. Today it's
the Warriors v the Panthers, followed by the Sharks up
against the Roosters in Sunday, finishing in style the Raiders
home to the Broncos and guys, I got goosebumps.

Speaker 9 (05:12):
Great, I got goose bumps after that. Can I suggest
we cancel this show and play that another twelve times?
I don't think there'll be a single complaint. That was
bloody unbelievable.

Speaker 7 (05:22):
Can we get Maddie Nabel up on stage with Teddy
Swims right before the Grand Final?

Speaker 5 (05:26):
I'll get Maddie everyone, get everyone pumped down.

Speaker 2 (05:29):
Teddy Swims.

Speaker 10 (05:30):
You're a big fan of massive thing of Teddy. I
went and watched him.

Speaker 11 (05:33):
He was a bit underground playing and playing in Brisbane
a couple of times and got some really cool music.

Speaker 10 (05:39):
Afirm He's got a fair bit.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
Of grunt music. What are you into that sort of stuff?

Speaker 11 (05:44):
No, it's just a good concert. He's a great concept.
He's actually he's in Taylor Swift and last night I
said I didn't.

Speaker 9 (05:50):
Like tested him, bro, I thought he wasssing me.

Speaker 4 (05:52):
You know, he went right on through all the songs.

Speaker 2 (05:54):
He's a proper I'm actually a big fan of him too.

Speaker 4 (05:56):
I think he's going to.

Speaker 2 (05:57):
Be He's really cool once You'll never forget he's fantastic.

Speaker 8 (06:01):
Now, Kevin Serado shakes up the spine again with Red
Marty acts and Toby Sexton recalled back into the team.

Speaker 2 (06:10):
Guys, this come as a bit of a shock, I
think to all of us today.

Speaker 7 (06:14):
Yeah, absolutely I did. I didn't see it coming. As
far as this change that we anticipate will unfold for
Friday nights match. Read Marny out of the final seven een,
Toby Sexton onto that bench.

Speaker 5 (06:28):
It's a significant change.

Speaker 7 (06:30):
I mean, I just didn't think we'd see Toby Sexton again,
but here he is getting one more chance.

Speaker 9 (06:37):
Dan, what do you think there's mind games going on
between these two coaches right because Canterbury will look at
the Melbourne lineup and think, MENI had fullback Chan at center,
Monster at six, that might.

Speaker 4 (06:52):
Change wish Ar.

Speaker 9 (06:54):
They're thinking Peasant might be the seven and now Canterbury.

Speaker 4 (06:58):
Of returned servants.

Speaker 9 (07:00):
It's a strange decision to have a halfback who doesn't
play dumby half. I'm sure he can fill a role,
but it's not like his versatile player that could go
into fullback. Going to thirteen if needed is a pretty
diminutive player. Are they planning to play sixteen and only
use Sexton in case of emergency?

Speaker 7 (07:21):
I made some phone calls on this today Fellas and
last week when the changes need to be made with
the Bulldogs it was Bronze and Cherry that suffered. The
hia had to come from the field that forced Bailey
Hayward out of the centers. The feeling from the Dogs
was they brought certainly that brought Red Marning into that
dummy half role. They felt as though they lost their
middle a little bit and their way in communication. They

(07:45):
believe Hayward is much more dominant communicator than what Reed
is and the changes this week is about if we
do have another injury, we don't want to move Hayward,
we will, but we have halves cover with Sexton.

Speaker 10 (08:01):
So then Burton can go into the Senate.

Speaker 7 (08:02):
Burton would be the change. Burton would be the change
and slot in it.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
After three seasons there.

Speaker 8 (08:07):
Red Marney on the eve of the finals, people saying
he should be starting, more so than being on the bench.
He gets chopped completely out of the team and he
talks about people.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
We're talking the likes of Kareron Smith.

Speaker 8 (08:19):
The greatest nine of all time, who was calling for
him to start. You don't think it's a this is
a you know, do you think this is the right move.

Speaker 5 (08:27):
I know you've.

Speaker 2 (08:28):
Spoken to people at the club obviously, but.

Speaker 5 (08:29):
Yeah, Broth, I think it's a massive call. There's no
doubt about it.

Speaker 4 (08:32):
Is it the right call?

Speaker 5 (08:33):
Well, yeah, I'll back Cameron Siroll though in I will.

Speaker 9 (08:36):
Choose Canterbury, the master of the art, the dark art
of manipulation, of getting a narrative out there. I'm not
saying it's wrong with Reid Marney, but you said it, Broth.
He's been there three and a half four years now.
All of a sudden, he's a bad communicator. He might
have burned the whole time. But it's funny when they
need to push the story all of a sudden. Toby Sexton,
we heard about it first half in Canberra where he

(08:58):
did nothing and and all of it.

Speaker 4 (09:00):
That was the catalyst. I don't love it, but it
is the dark.

Speaker 5 (09:05):
You're getting a story you can't deny.

Speaker 7 (09:07):
There's been a progression in those three years that you
guys are referencing in Bailey Hayward with ceron an emergence
of Bailey Hayward.

Speaker 8 (09:16):
And I agree with him if you has the progression
been that good for Read money to be dropped Like
in his form of late if.

Speaker 7 (09:23):
You talk to the playing group, they talk to a
dummy half that communicates and drives the team.

Speaker 8 (09:30):
The playing group also backed Galvin and said that and
didn't back Sexton, and now he's back in the team.

Speaker 5 (09:35):
Yep, I agree with you.

Speaker 7 (09:37):
I can only take it on the Hayward point of view.
They feel like he's a better superior communicator.

Speaker 5 (09:43):
So then what Read is. The other key key point
is is disciplined guys.

Speaker 7 (09:48):
In big matches, discipline counts. You cannot afford to give.

Speaker 11 (09:53):
Knowing what your teammates going to do counts more so,
I know discipline is it's it's it's massive. You can't
do repeat sixers. But to take Reid Maney out there
in the middle and the heat of the battle in
the first twenty minutes when the whips are going and
everything's going crazy and you've got that guy out there.
I know what he was going to toss up and
the unknown and that's why the Raiders we think Brisbane

(10:15):
because more players have been in finals and it's a
bit of unknown against the Raiders with Reid money, I reckon,
i'd I think.

Speaker 8 (10:22):
Reid Marney's improved a lot with his discipline this year.
Like astronomically, when I think of Reid Marney, I think
of a tough defender, puts his body on the line
for the club. I think of good service off the deck.
He provides very good service for his men. He's very reliable,
he's fit, and he's played finals before. And I just

(10:44):
think it's a bit odd, you know, Like I'm going
for the Bulldogs. I want him to win, but I
think it's odd and I just want to bring it
back to that, you know, let's look at the big picture.
He you know, sext And is now back in the
team and Marney is not even in the seventeen can.

Speaker 11 (10:59):
Tell you a story. You just don't have to believe it.
It wasn't broken the Dogs. If it was broken, then
they were outside of the eight and they need to
make changes and they got into it. They were coming
first with their nine and seven.

Speaker 9 (11:11):
Was noticeable the game against Penrith a couple of weeks ago,
against the new South Walest Cup team. As soon as
Marty came on, the service got better and smarter. Braith,
I'm going to ask you some questions if I can,
because you're a former Bulldogs number six.

Speaker 4 (11:27):
Is Hayward a better thirteen than nine? Right now?

Speaker 9 (11:31):
They clearly believe Hayward is an eighty minute play and probably.

Speaker 4 (11:34):
With good reason because he's been very very Haywood.

Speaker 8 (11:37):
It was very good at thirteen. At nine, I'd say
he's more of a thirteen. I think I think it's
more of a stop gap right now. I don't think
even Bailey would have thought he was a genuine nine half,
That's what I'm saying, you know. And at thirteen he
can play like a half but be a runner of
the ball and he was really effective when he was doing.
He still is a very good nine, don't get me wrong,

(11:58):
But if you were to say one or the other,
I'd probably go further.

Speaker 4 (12:01):
Would this spur the perfect week?

Speaker 6 (12:04):
No?

Speaker 9 (12:04):
Bronson Sherry to say, look, we're going to put Burton
in the centers.

Speaker 4 (12:08):
It's not our ideal scenario.

Speaker 9 (12:10):
Burton in the centers, Galvan five, eight sexed and a
half back. And hey, they don't swallow their pride because
they're being forced into a move like this because of injury.
Is this not the They've got a second chance if
they get it wrong, they can bounce back.

Speaker 5 (12:24):
Boys.

Speaker 7 (12:24):
I don't know where you feel as though Karon Seraldo
listens to the noise. This is a guy that beats
to his own drum and has done so ever since
he's taken over the job of the bulldog. As far
as tipping with Gus mind you, tipping out players, moving
the roster around and going in and getting the roster that.

Speaker 5 (12:43):
He wants to try and find success.

Speaker 7 (12:45):
I don't see swallowing pride, Dan, I don't even see
it as a factor for this coach, to the point
of which we're seeing like there's a reason they've just
extended him to this massive deal. They are going chips
in and whatever he decides, they're backing on this occasion.

Speaker 8 (13:02):
I don't think any none of us are questioning him
as a his ability as a coach, or his future
in this game.

Speaker 2 (13:09):
As a coach.

Speaker 8 (13:09):
He is an amazing coach and will be one of
the great coaches of our game.

Speaker 2 (13:13):
Doesn't mean that you get everything right, you know.

Speaker 5 (13:16):
No way.

Speaker 8 (13:17):
I'm with you on that, and I would say he is,
and I would say this that this whole panel, this
whole time has said the same thing. We back Cameron,
We trust Cameron. Whatever decision he makes, he knows better
than us. And that and and I still still doesn't
stop opinion.

Speaker 5 (13:33):
It doesn't mean.

Speaker 8 (13:34):
It doesn't mean he's going He's got this right as
we're watching it unfolded at the minute. And if they
go out in straight sets, what do you say.

Speaker 5 (13:41):
Then it hasn't worked it.

Speaker 8 (13:44):
So that's that's what That's the pressure that it carries.
And you know, yes, he beats to his own drum
and he does an amazing job of doing that. But
this is big, you know, this is really big.

Speaker 9 (13:53):
No team will get a better chance to boot Melbourne
and Melbourne in a qualifying final. Melbourne have never been
this vulnerable in a top four situation. Normally it's a
death march. You can't canbrid did it once. But apart
from that, you can't beat Melbourne in Melbourne in a
qualifying Final, Melbourne get the week off Brilym at home.

Speaker 4 (14:16):
They're on their way. They are so vulnerable this week and.

Speaker 9 (14:20):
That's that's why the spotlight's on the Dogs.

Speaker 2 (14:23):
This is a chance I.

Speaker 8 (14:24):
Want to come back to you, davecause I know you've
spoken to people at the Dogs. I just want to
flush it out a little bit more with the sex and.

Speaker 2 (14:29):
How they're going to use him. He's obviously starting off
on the bench.

Speaker 8 (14:34):
The reason he got dropped was because they needed more points,
more creativity, and they thought Gavin provided that. How are
they going to use him both.

Speaker 7 (14:42):
I firmly believe he's the fourth bench player, and I
say that respectfully. We see teams sometimes not using their
fourth player.

Speaker 5 (14:51):
Fourth bench player. I think he's the emergency player.

Speaker 7 (14:54):
Again, should they suffer an injury in their back line,
they can move Burton out there and bring Sexton into
the halves.

Speaker 5 (15:00):
We've seen quality teams do this in the past.

Speaker 7 (15:03):
The Panthers with Brad Schneider Kolga did it for penrithin
the Grand Final. Nico Hines for a period with the
Milaup halves on your bench.

Speaker 5 (15:14):
It's not out of the ordinary.

Speaker 11 (15:15):
But he's going to be prepared to put his head
in and go play in the middle. That's where you've got.

Speaker 7 (15:19):
To do, point Gordy, because interestingly in New South Wales
Cup where Sexton has been playing, he's been jumping into
nine as well. So I feel as though this has
been potentially on the cards as a possibility for some time.

Speaker 2 (15:33):
What do you guys think of it?

Speaker 11 (15:35):
As long as he's prepared, Like I always think it's
a luxury. Queensland have done it with a lot of success.
But if you can carry a number seven on your bench,
or like a bloke that can play in the halves,
but he's prepared, you know, if everything's going he's got
to jump in the middle and defend in the middle.
That's the hardest thing. But if you're can defend in
the middle, you know you carry those guys.

Speaker 9 (15:55):
Think a coach has got to clever for himself and
you think, what the hell is he putting that player
on the bench. Then you see Reese Walsch get knocked
out in the State of Origin and look so on
Cobbo is just there to come on all of a sudden.
It makes sense. So you know, I kind of think
it's superfluous, but you know if Burton goes down in
the first five minutes, he's a genius.

Speaker 7 (16:15):
So I got to say I appreciate they are the
biggest spotlights. Lachland, Galvin Reed, Marny, Toby Sexton and the
focus on the Dog's spine.

Speaker 5 (16:25):
I get it. But where's Matt Burton. It's his time.
He really needs to stand kick out.

Speaker 7 (16:31):
It's been He's been very much the key half of
this team for the longest period and in this game,
he's the one that can shift the momentum of the
game through his kicking game. When he runs with force
and dominance, he can beat anyone.

Speaker 5 (16:49):
And it's for me. Matt Burton is the spotlight player
as much as any of.

Speaker 8 (16:52):
The spotlight player, but he's also got the nine to
seven inside of him, you know, to help him be
the spotlight player, and they've bring the best out of
Matt Burton.

Speaker 2 (17:01):
You know, he needs help.

Speaker 8 (17:02):
Matt Burton, whenever he plays well, the Bulldogs tend to
win games. And when he's had his best games, they've won.
There hasn't been a shadow of a doubt around that.
So it is a big game for Matt, but it's
also a big game for his half partner to go
into the finals with all this going on, and you
know you've got you do have Sexton on the bench now. Now,

(17:23):
Sexton I think can come on in straighten up their attack,
which I spoke about last night, and he can play
as a nine or a seven. He's kicking games fantastic
And even when he played nine before he was dropped
when he moved when Galvin come off the bench, they
won that game and it was against Paramunta, and he
was really effective when he when he played in that
nine position. What happens if if Galvin doesn't start the

(17:43):
game well, or is there any chance of that happen
him coming on to seven.

Speaker 5 (17:47):
Of him starting the game?

Speaker 8 (17:48):
World as a chance if Galvin struggling throughout the game,
could he put him on at seven?

Speaker 7 (17:53):
There's the option, there isn't there? And imagine that that's
what everyone you talk to at the Dogs. He's back
in Galvin to get the job done. So look, he
wouldn't have to be having a hour, yeah, for Sexton
to get on. Hooking Galvin for Sexton, I just find it.

Speaker 2 (18:16):
It's so fascinating.

Speaker 9 (18:17):
I know it's created, self created. He came to the club, Galvin,
He's a kid halfway through the year and the Bulldogs
rushed him in. But I still get the feeling he's
learning who he is, of course, in that the three
games before Melbourne a few weeks ago, three games he
ran at seven times total, so two a game against
Melbourne he ran at sixteen times.

Speaker 4 (18:36):
He's working out how he fits.

Speaker 9 (18:37):
Into this side, to learn how to actually fit into this.

Speaker 8 (18:41):
I haven't found the dynamic or the balance, and they've
got to find it this week now. Peter Velandis has
taken great delight in taking a fresh potshot at our
rival Code as the NRL revealed Teddy Swims as the
Grand Final entertainment.

Speaker 4 (18:55):
It's fantastic. We saw what the FLA got.

Speaker 2 (18:59):
What what's he called labrador or podle.

Speaker 4 (19:02):
Or the labrador.

Speaker 12 (19:03):
I'm not sure.

Speaker 4 (19:07):
A dog act had.

Speaker 5 (19:09):
We had about to get better than that.

Speaker 4 (19:11):
We actually got a vocalist, none of his duff stuff.

Speaker 1 (19:15):
That this bloke can actually sing.

Speaker 4 (19:17):
It'll beat the purdle.

Speaker 8 (19:23):
He loves it, doesn't he When he takes sticks up
for our game, he's put a spot.

Speaker 5 (19:28):
Well, you know, clearly a f L has got snoop dogg.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
Which she called, but he's a he's got that.

Speaker 5 (19:37):
Strategy, that's strategy. He knows exactly what he's doing.

Speaker 10 (19:40):
Pretty cool to yeah.

Speaker 7 (19:42):
And at the same time as he's as he's throwing
shade on the a f L, the a f L
pick up on that.

Speaker 5 (19:48):
And they hear him talking and it allows.

Speaker 7 (19:50):
The growth of the Melbourne Storm and focus on the
he drops the Melbourne Storm playing the Dogs in Victoria.
You know, he finds little angles to keep promoting the game.

Speaker 9 (19:59):
Every time we does that, I think, are they're too
smart the AFL to react and then they react help themselves.
It's interesting the strategies of the two. AFL is trying
to make a splash. They're trying to be impressive, and
that's why they go Robbie william Snoop Dog. They wanted
Bruce Springsteen. That was the dream they brought out. Katie

(20:20):
Perry and I'll.

Speaker 2 (20:20):
Spend the millions.

Speaker 9 (20:21):
Where the NRL takes a different attitude one we're there
to watch the.

Speaker 10 (20:25):
Game, could be our product against them?

Speaker 9 (20:27):
Well, it's exactly right, We're there to watch the game,
and why spend millions on something just to win social
media for twenty five minutes?

Speaker 4 (20:36):
That's their attitude.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
How do you feel about Teddy Swims You happy with that?
On Gordy is bring back Jimmy Barns Now Gordy.

Speaker 10 (20:42):
Gordon'll have facetatoos after the ground. After watching it.

Speaker 9 (20:45):
You might do the cultural Atasha, but you are my
Teddy swims at Sha.

Speaker 4 (20:49):
Because I haven't got a close people.

Speaker 10 (20:51):
They will just play them all the way.

Speaker 4 (20:53):
That's right. Listen.

Speaker 9 (20:56):
If it can bring you out any new audience members,
then I suppose job done. All I care about because
I'm at the game. Can he pump the crowd up?
It's the same, he will, Yeah, and it's good. I
don't care who the actor. If they can get the
crowd pumped up and put on a good fifteen twenty minutes,
then God bless.

Speaker 8 (21:13):
Them well, said Dave Josh Pabla. Injury update.

Speaker 5 (21:17):
Yeah, look he missed yesterday's media opportunity. He was in
the moon boot.

Speaker 4 (21:23):
It is real.

Speaker 2 (21:24):
Yeah, he's injured.

Speaker 10 (21:26):
Is that is that his ankle there?

Speaker 5 (21:28):
That's his ankle. That's not AI. It's not cut and
paste job. But no, that's it.

Speaker 2 (21:34):
Nasty.

Speaker 5 (21:35):
It's nasty, guys.

Speaker 7 (21:37):
When I first picked up on this story earlier this
week talking to the Raiders, the explanation, I was given
when he went down in the scrimmage last Friday.

Speaker 5 (21:50):
Last Friday, he collapses. Now it was explained.

Speaker 10 (21:52):
Hold on, yep, can I say something? What foot's that?

Speaker 5 (21:56):
It looks like right, doesn't it?

Speaker 10 (21:58):
Where's the moonboot on?

Speaker 5 (22:04):
Maybe maybe it's a flipped photo crops.

Speaker 2 (22:09):
And tell us.

Speaker 11 (22:13):
I just thought in a row, I'm just sorry, that's
just I just looked at that and I went his
right ankle. Well that's pretty Yeah, that's brutal. That looks painful.
Then I saw the moonbat breaking news. Sorry, I don't want.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
To put.

Speaker 5 (22:34):
You can't fake fake bruces or is the bootle. I'm
not working for the Bronx.

Speaker 9 (22:39):
This is Nick mackenzie stuff.

Speaker 10 (22:42):
Josh fake you know, and you know how to take me.

Speaker 5 (22:47):
It could be that's what I thought.

Speaker 8 (22:48):
It could be flipped. Let's just go that one. Yeah,
I think I think it's a flipped shot through through
text messages. Yes, that's my prediction here. So then you
actually Eddie Papa's out, Well.

Speaker 9 (23:01):
This is the game they need him because there's the
battle forwards, right, they could Let's say they go on
and play well pretty much anyone in the finals. You've
still got Tarpani and You've still got big Red and
you could probably still you're the forward you talk to
this scord Papa holdsway this game. They need him because
they've got to dominate hass and Carrigan and and Jensen

(23:22):
and co Hars and Carrigan, the big ones. No, Wilson's
interesting because they were hoping to have him back, but
they need they need his present, especially a big, big
event game like this.

Speaker 11 (23:33):
I think the last month of Brisbane has been the
best football that I've watched, and their ability to move
the ball quick. But say ten weeks ago, no pain has,
no Carrigan.

Speaker 10 (23:43):
They got beaten. There wasn't a lot of go forward.

Speaker 11 (23:46):
They're outside backs because Sell and Cobber like they weren't
making a lot of meters the way they've brought to
Tony steaks and respulsion of the game with their ball movement.
There's a little bit of pressure off their forwards, but they.

Speaker 10 (23:56):
Need to win that battle.

Speaker 11 (23:57):
Tarpane, Yeah, and Papoli up against paint and carried.

Speaker 7 (24:00):
We were worried about pain as staying on the field
ten weeks ago. Remember his body wasn't holding up to
the riggers and he couldn't train through the week and
Dan's right, like, this is.

Speaker 5 (24:11):
A forward battle.

Speaker 7 (24:12):
Look, big Papa, I hope I don't see a photo
tomorrow on the moonbired on the right foot.

Speaker 5 (24:18):
But look, I understand they'll get him right U until Saturday,
Captain's run.

Speaker 10 (24:25):
The original.

Speaker 2 (24:32):
Conspiracies. What about the bus though, Yeah?

Speaker 4 (24:35):
Is that real?

Speaker 5 (24:35):
Yeah, it's real, It's real.

Speaker 7 (24:37):
There's genuine agitation over this, to the point of which
an inn our old integrity officer back in March after round.

Speaker 2 (24:44):
Two the Mages denied here, yeah, I'm.

Speaker 5 (24:48):
Not copying that. No, no, what's the story. I watched
this last night.

Speaker 9 (24:53):
So they were made the park few hundred murders away
because they couldn't get in the entrance.

Speaker 11 (24:58):
Just didn't go in the ground because the Raiders bust
was in there and they can only fit one.

Speaker 9 (25:03):
Bus home ground advantage to me.

Speaker 10 (25:05):
That's what it is.

Speaker 7 (25:06):
Yeah, And there was a bit of agitation from the
Broncos and imagine about why we're parking out here.

Speaker 5 (25:10):
This is not the way we roll, And to the
point of which it.

Speaker 10 (25:14):
Was escal stronger leadership you need.

Speaker 5 (25:16):
It was escalated to the NRL.

Speaker 7 (25:17):
They send an integrity officer down to the Raider stadium
to do a safety report.

Speaker 11 (25:21):
Let's just hope that Dave donahe imagine our playing If
that buggles them up, players, Like as I said, break,
it doesn't matter. We just have to walk in the
Sydney Football Stadium past every fan that's walked out of
the pubs on Friday night they played big game Grand Finally,
you'd have.

Speaker 5 (25:35):
To walk three hundred meters three pair, bring two precious.

Speaker 2 (25:38):
What about going down Caston Street before origin?

Speaker 7 (25:40):
Yeah, the point are they.

Speaker 2 (25:45):
I would think that I wouldn't complain about that. You
know what it is.

Speaker 8 (25:48):
I would it's more magic than a they trying to
play games with us here. Yes, you know that's what
I would. I would think that it has happened. He's
going to hang on a second. Now they're moving our bus.
We normally park here. This is all mine games.

Speaker 10 (26:00):
Get what?

Speaker 9 (26:02):
They had no control of the ground this week because
it's a n r L ground. They have control of
the city and it wouldn't be funny if they were
just snap roadworks somewhere on the.

Speaker 4 (26:11):
Ground at about one o'clock on Sundays.

Speaker 10 (26:16):
Escort.

Speaker 5 (26:18):
There's an increasing tension between these two teams. There really is,
and the.

Speaker 7 (26:21):
Two coaches as well and mine games or not, it's
setting up for an absolute cracker on Sunday.

Speaker 8 (26:29):
Doug, you've got some issues with Dennis the Bullfrogs take
on Trent Robinson and his achievements this year.

Speaker 5 (26:35):
Look, I'm all credit to Robert. He's done. He's done
a good job.

Speaker 7 (26:39):
But I see, my good mate bulldog gave Trent Robinson
an a minus?

Speaker 2 (26:45):
Is it?

Speaker 5 (26:45):
I can just say a minus.

Speaker 8 (26:47):
Actually, if you look closer, he gave him an a minus.
But just go a little bit further down there and
he gave him a B plus and the same yes column,
So I.

Speaker 2 (26:55):
Think he's a bit confused.

Speaker 5 (26:57):
We'll give him a beat then.

Speaker 2 (26:58):
Yeah, and coaches, you're right.

Speaker 5 (27:03):
We blame the copy takers on that one.

Speaker 7 (27:06):
The again quality coach, good effort, but any suggestion that
this is one of the best seasons ever by the
Roosters in scriping in eighth because Manly and the Dolphins
dropped games to get them.

Speaker 5 (27:21):
To get with that roster of five Origin, five Origin.

Speaker 4 (27:26):
We've gone through that.

Speaker 5 (27:26):
Yeah, we're going to go again.

Speaker 7 (27:27):
Break the five Origin players, the Dallam Player of the Year,
the Dali m Rookie of the Year.

Speaker 2 (27:34):
If at the start of the year. Robert Toyer was
an unknown Afar who white. They lost. They lost. It
means a.

Speaker 8 (27:42):
Lot because he is because he's Dalliant played and rob
Toyer played Origin. You know why they all played so
well this year while they are where they are?

Speaker 5 (27:53):
Trent Robinson, what's their ability?

Speaker 2 (27:57):
Their ability? You're not giving no credit.

Speaker 5 (28:00):
You heard me give credit to Robot. You heard me
say that they won. However, however, that is an elite roster.
There are three games five Origin players.

Speaker 9 (28:08):
There are three games they won, you know, getting there
are three games they.

Speaker 5 (28:11):
Won and getting the point? What point the elite?

Speaker 8 (28:13):
Because they were made elite this year before the season
started with all their senior players gone. And when they
won from seven what was everyone saying then? Did they
have five Origin players?

Speaker 2 (28:21):
Then? Were they all going to play?

Speaker 7 (28:23):
It was to players been an elite talent coming through
the system for so long Queensland had injuries in their
back line. He gets promoted into the Origin team, becomes
a rep player.

Speaker 9 (28:34):
I don't belave they don't make three games they win,
they don't make it. If they don't win against penrithon
round two. It's the biggest upset of the season. Walker
they won with plumbers and great jats. A bloke had
to go and do a cashi at seven o'clock the
next morning.

Speaker 5 (28:48):
That's good coaching, that's good.

Speaker 9 (28:51):
An unknown called Hugo Savar like kids the Broncos to
death in round six twenty six sixteen.

Speaker 7 (28:57):
If you drop, if you drop James to Desko into
the majority of the top eight teams.

Speaker 10 (29:04):
Have some good players.

Speaker 2 (29:05):
The Sharks, they do have some great sharks.

Speaker 9 (29:07):
They go to Gosford or their roster, these five players
that you're punishing them for, don't your Sharks.

Speaker 7 (29:15):
The rooster should be a dollar twenty against.

Speaker 5 (29:18):
I think, oh my god, he should be.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
You've been hanging around the show too long.

Speaker 11 (29:22):
Brother, No, listen, I think I don't think that's as
great good ross.

Speaker 2 (29:28):
It's a good roster because they've produced that roster.

Speaker 8 (29:30):
Wasn't a good roster at round at round seven this year,
around eight this year.

Speaker 5 (29:34):
That's not about how they've been produced or developed.

Speaker 8 (29:36):
It is because they weren't the players they are now.
So the roster is stronger now because of the way
they've played and been coached. Should they Savala was I'll
go through it again if you want me to do it.
Should Nafar who White, Savara all I known, yep.

Speaker 5 (29:49):
Lindsay Concert, Colin Spencer l and you Toyer Teddy?

Speaker 8 (29:52):
Oh yeah, you've gone Toyer again we mentioned him. Teddy
was at the end of his career. Victor Radley's had
ten concussions this year.

Speaker 5 (30:04):
It still good.

Speaker 9 (30:05):
But this is just a ridiculous, Gordy, let's just stay
out of this.

Speaker 5 (30:09):
Should they have finished higher the.

Speaker 8 (30:10):
Eighth given a certainstance with no seem walker the way
they started the season, I think eighth was an amazing
finish for them.

Speaker 2 (30:18):
No one gave him a chance. People put line through them.

Speaker 8 (30:20):
They had no chance, and now all of a sudden
you've got them at a dollar twenty to beat your team.

Speaker 5 (30:24):
Absolutely, absolutely don't have a REP player here.

Speaker 8 (30:29):
We have a good REP player because I don't want
to go I don't want to go there.

Speaker 4 (30:35):
I don't want to go there.

Speaker 8 (30:36):
But they've had the same roster on big money who
were high quality players for a long period of time.

Speaker 5 (30:40):
But they don't have an origin player and the roosters
have got five.

Speaker 8 (30:44):
Oh my god, are we gonna We're going to go
back there? These players were not Origin players at the
start of the year.

Speaker 7 (30:50):
Day.

Speaker 8 (30:50):
There's origin players now because the way they've played the
back end of the year, through their coaching to key
players standing up with floks being like Savara Lnoya and
I will say it again, who were fift out with
nobody's So you can't you can't tell me that they've
under a trieve this year?

Speaker 2 (31:05):
Okay, well that's my opinion anyway.

Speaker 8 (31:08):
All right, Sharks winger Dave Ronaldo and moll Tar, I
couldn't give a rats about how about much this after
they actually tell you.

Speaker 7 (31:15):
Listen, last we years vinals record hasn't been great.

Speaker 5 (31:19):
Have you spoken about how to handle this situation better?

Speaker 10 (31:21):
Well?

Speaker 4 (31:21):
What's great to you?

Speaker 2 (31:22):
You know?

Speaker 12 (31:23):
Like playing finals every year? We other clubs there's eight
other clubs, well, nine other clubs. They haven't played finals.
So couldn't care less what anyone says about finals records
and blah blah blah blah blahs, same stuff every year, see.

Speaker 5 (31:35):
Some freaky stuff and you sit back and it all Sometimes.

Speaker 12 (31:38):
Yeah, I don't really watch football anyway, so I couldn't
give a rats about what's going on.

Speaker 2 (31:42):
To be honest, why do you like this play so much? Yeah?

Speaker 12 (31:45):
I don't know why we would take the game back
to Alian's where that stay at home. Fans don't want
to cross the bridge anyways. So love this place and
it's our home whether you like it or not. If not,
just be better than us and go at number five
and take it to your home.

Speaker 8 (31:57):
So very uniquestffective for one of the greatest minds in
our game. There they didn't give a rats about any
It was through that.

Speaker 5 (32:07):
He speaks his mind, Ronaldo. It's quite refreshing, isn't it.

Speaker 7 (32:09):
When a lot of there's a lot of the newer
players in the game, Ronaldo is not one of them.

Speaker 5 (32:15):
I agree with that.

Speaker 9 (32:16):
Actually, you know what he does, like people along the
wrong way. I'd rather than be a bit chesty.

Speaker 11 (32:21):
Yeah, this is our home ground. If you don't like it,
finish higher than it's you. He said all the right things.

Speaker 4 (32:26):
It's a bad time that.

Speaker 8 (32:27):
Honestly, a lot of players, a lot of players don't
watch footy anymore.

Speaker 10 (32:30):
Like I used to do that, but I didn't like
you got to watch footy.

Speaker 2 (32:34):
Yeah, that's your job.

Speaker 11 (32:36):
If you're in the stock market, you watch the stocks.

Speaker 7 (32:39):
There's a couple of coaches in the game when they
meet a player that they're trying to sign. One of
the very first question they ask is do you watch footy?
And if they say no, they're not interested in the player.

Speaker 9 (32:49):
Yeah I would Week one haven't won since twenty sixteen.
To come on, Dave, it's a bad time.
