Speaker 1 (00:09):
Welcome to L three sixty Rugby League from every angle,
brought to you by the new Ranger plug in Hybrid,
joining me the great Gordon Tellers that's been the general
Australian buzzerrock Field and Brent Reed. We have a massive
show on tonight. We're going to get to the Lachlan
Galvin story, the move to the Bulldogs. But this afternoon
developing stories coming out that a few.

Speaker 2 (00:29):
Of their players read. Marnie he will look to early.

Speaker 1 (00:33):
He's been given permission to negotiate with clubs for next year.
We've also got Toby sext And saying that he will
not be at the club next season. Gordy, So this
is all happening now. Agnary Bulldogs.

Speaker 3 (00:44):
Yeah, you just hope it doesn't derail their season.

Speaker 4 (00:47):
They've built something nice, They've been building nicely on a
team ethos one guy coming and just hope that they
can hold it together because sometimes this can upset the
apple cart.

Speaker 5 (00:57):
I wrote this morning McCollum and the Telegraphs this signing
of Lachlan Galvin and Leo Thompson had the potential to
create unrest.

Speaker 6 (01:06):
In the camp.

Speaker 5 (01:07):
And you've got Reid Marny and sext and you've also
got a couple of but I'd say kind of Tracey
might have been a little bit of doubt long term.
You've also got a couple of You've got Origin player
Matt King who's only on four hundred k. You've got
Jacob Preston, who's done such a great job on three
hundred and fifty K. Then they're bringing these stars in
on all the big money now because of the potential

(01:29):
of the unrest. I think that is one of the
reasons why for a number of weeks we've been misled
by Phil Gold and he hasn't wanted it to be
out there publicly as they climbed at the top of
the table.

Speaker 7 (01:44):
Really, I think you put in perspective. I think Toby
Sexton whilst Pete Bdell's kind of the story that Toby
Sexton is saying he's leaving at the end of the year.
I don't think Toby Sexton didn't have an offer on
the table from the club. I think it was pretty
clear the club was moving in another direction. In fact,
it's my nudstand type you probab wouldn't in first grade
next week that Bali Hayward would have been half back.
So I think the writing was on the wall for

(02:04):
Toby Sexton.

Speaker 6 (02:06):
So I think he did get them to the top
of the ladder.

Speaker 7 (02:11):
It was going to be in reserve grade next week.
Did you see them last week?

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Is that right?

Speaker 7 (02:14):
Well, there was every chance he would last week.

Speaker 5 (02:17):
You're going to do that on one game and then
without three State of Origin players and they're without how
many players suspended an engine?

Speaker 6 (02:24):
It's unfair.

Speaker 7 (02:25):
I'm just trying to sell you. There was every chance
that Bally Hayward would have been the half back, and
the next game against Paramatta that may still be the case.
Lachland Galvin may come off the bench in that game
and in terms of read money read money, asked for
permission the obviouseason to explore his options. This isn't a
Lachland Galvan related thing. He asked for it six months ago,
aside the end of last year to look look look

(02:45):
look around the comp for extent. If he get an extent,
extent to the long term extension at the end of
this year, would they consider letting him go and they
just he just asked the same question again, So.

Speaker 5 (02:56):
That's I wouldn't say the same question he asked the
same question.

Speaker 6 (03:00):
Spoken to Sam Maib about this around the.

Speaker 5 (03:02):
Same time that the West Tigers gave Galvin permission to
negotiate everywhere elsewhere. When it became likely he was heading
to Belmore, That's when he asked released. And he's on
big money read Marty's maybe six hundred thousand dollars and yeah,
he wants to get a head start.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
So you saying that that could be money freed.

Speaker 6 (03:23):
Up for Gavin or yeah, well they've got a free
money up.

Speaker 5 (03:26):
I mentioned a couple of players underpaid Preston.

Speaker 4 (03:30):
Well, once you play Origin, you go up, don't you.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
Generally you're talking.

Speaker 6 (03:36):
About Bailey Hayward playing halfback.

Speaker 5 (03:39):
I thought he might play hooker next year.

Speaker 6 (03:41):
But this is where I'm talking about unrest.

Speaker 5 (03:43):
Gus is confused, not only the entire rugby league world,
but the players who are inside those four wars at Belmore.

Speaker 6 (03:51):
No one knows what's going on.

Speaker 7 (03:53):
I think that's really unfair on Camra Cereldo in particular.

Speaker 8 (03:56):
Buzz.

Speaker 7 (03:56):
We've sat here on this panel. I've said it since
the day the season started. They do not have a
spine to win win this competition this year. And okay,
they looked pretty good in recent weeks. They're really poor
last week. So I Am not going to have a
go at them for going out and getting a young kid.
Where did you let me who can give them the
strike they need in the spine to compete with Melbourne.

Speaker 6 (04:17):
Said the place was all over the shop? What made
you say that they got.

Speaker 4 (04:21):
Beaten by sixty with him in the spine?

Speaker 5 (04:26):
When did I say Cameron Surroundo had anything to do
with this? He's not confused, Well, the players confused.

Speaker 7 (04:32):
He's the coach.

Speaker 2 (04:33):
He's the coach.

Speaker 5 (04:34):
He's not doing the recruitment Leuiam Mayhem's doing that, Peter
Sharp's doing that, and field girls running it.

Speaker 7 (04:42):
For that football club.

Speaker 5 (04:42):
Do you think I think he's a great recruit, But
you're getting away from the point the potential it has
for unrest in the club.

Speaker 6 (04:51):
And you want to sack a blake the second grade.

Speaker 7 (04:54):
Or say I'm telling you he was about to get dropped.
Want to pick that team?

Speaker 2 (04:58):
Yeah, well you.

Speaker 6 (04:59):
Seem to be on board with it.

Speaker 2 (05:02):
I think you're on the money.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
They're really in terms of he was about to be
sacked sextant drop sorry, not sacked. So that does change
things here because only a month ago.

Speaker 2 (05:13):
He was flying. Bulldogs are flying.

Speaker 1 (05:14):
They're still coming first, mind you, and he's been in
great form. Hasn't been unbelievable the last few weeks. I
think it's still harshleess to drop in the way that
they're playing in the position to be the.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
First number seven to be dropped leading the competition.

Speaker 2 (05:28):
It's almost it is almost unhurt.

Speaker 5 (05:30):
It doesn't this say to you that Gus knew a
long time ago. Despite what he has been gibbering about
on Channel nine, Guss must have known he was coming.
Otherwise they would have somehow locked up Toby Sexton because
he's the half back at his top of the ladder

(05:52):
half back.

Speaker 7 (05:53):
They have not been convinced with Toby Sexton all year,
all year.

Speaker 6 (05:57):
It's not what I've heard.

Speaker 5 (05:59):
I think Jason Taylor, who's been his personal one on
one coach, has been very happy with me. We talked
about Jan harbor Bridge passed down in camp.

Speaker 7 (06:07):
Clearly gussin can haven't been convinced by mother was what
it extended him.

Speaker 1 (06:11):
The writing was on the wall and I said it
on this show what three or four weeks ago. If
you try and put the pieces of the puzzle together,
then they're not resigning Sexton. There's no commitment to Paramatta
from the Galvin camp. You looked at the way that
Gus was talking about Galvin, there were so many reasons
in my mind as to why the Bulldogs would want

(06:32):
him at the club.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
Now, what I've heard from the club.

Speaker 1 (06:35):
Today that this is a Cameron Soroudo decision and a
Luke Vella decision.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
Apparently Luke Vella.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
Who coached Galvin through his junior years and he's still
a mentor to him right now. They were the push
I'm here, And it wasn't Gus who pushed this the
last month or so, in particularly over the last couple
of weeks, it's been Serroudo, who wants him at the club,
sat down with him. I did speak to Benji at

(07:02):
the time the Galvin said he wanted to leave the Tigers,
and one thing you'd tell.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
To me is that he's a footy head.

Speaker 1 (07:09):
He's one of the most he's got one of the
highest footy i qs of a kid of his age
that he's ever seen. And I've heard that from the
Bulldogs as well. So that was a huge appeal to them.
That's not to say this isn't a shock to me,
and that the goal post Gus said the goalpost moved.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
I don't know how funny. I don't think they mean.
I think they did move.

Speaker 7 (07:33):
They movement was the movement was two weeks ago when
the club said, the Tigers said you can go to
market and see what you can get. Now that changed.

Speaker 3 (07:45):
To quickly.

Speaker 1 (07:46):
I'm just saying, so you don't think that Gus was
talking or interested in Galvin and all before two weeks ago.

Speaker 7 (07:52):
No, I think he was. But I'm saying when he
says the goal post changed two weeks.

Speaker 6 (07:56):
Ago, that is on the radar.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
Well, it's a census, relive it.

Speaker 1 (08:03):
Okay, I feel good, was adamant, the dogs weren't interested,
but then the goalpost apparently shifted.

Speaker 9 (08:09):
We're not thinking about Lochland Galvin. We've never at any
stage been involved in any discussion rather regarding Lochland Galvin.
And we're not going to get into a discussion about
Lochland Galvin. He's not on our radar. We've got a
different program going at the moment. Yeah, it's not unlike
in the media to go running ahead with a story.
Is that it's a bit of a frenzy out there.
Lochland Galvin has expressed his desire to play with the Bulldog.

(08:32):
We'll try to accommodate that. I don't think our use
the term wasn't interested. What I said it was that
we would stick to our program. When he first told
the West Tigers he wasn't going to play in twenty
twenty seven, he was still contracted to the end of
twenty six. That's eighteen months to hang around wondering whether
or not you've got a player. So that didn't suit
our time frame. I said we would stick to the
program that we've got. What happened this week is the
Gold Coast. The goalpost got moved incredibly because all of

(08:54):
a sudden, we got a call on Tuesday from the
manager to say that there was a chance they were
negotiating a release with the Tigers and he would be
available virtually now.

Speaker 2 (09:03):
It's not unlike the media to run with the story.

Speaker 1 (09:06):
Well, Gus, we ran with this story three or four
weeks ago, and guess what, we're right, So this is
very interesting. I didn't like that from Gus, the way
you palm that off. The rest I can cop, but
just to point to the media as this been the
media thing and the media beat up. You know it
wasn't a beat up, mate.

Speaker 5 (09:24):
We got it to be quite frank, I don't believe anything,
he says. And earlier this year Wilde Wall to Sports
through Gas ran the story something they didn't want Thompson
from Newcast they were dropping out.

Speaker 6 (09:37):
They signed him a couple of weeks later.

Speaker 5 (09:39):
You go back a few years and he said, Trent
Barrett sweet, it's going to be here longer than me.
He left three weeks later, punted I wanted to go
back to Penrith twenty sixteen. Looked it up today said
Matt moylan will play here for the rest of his life.
He sold into Cronla. Next year at Penrith, he signed
Griffin extended. Griffin said he's the future of this club

(10:01):
and sacked in.

Speaker 1 (10:03):
He's renowned for it right.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
He gets it done too. He gets it done though.
He gets it done.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
To look at this situation from everyone by us, let's
be honest.

Speaker 5 (10:17):
But the difference is Gus is not a club official.
He's been paid substantial amount of money to sit on
a panel like this to Channel nine viewers to keep
them informed on rugby league matters. And in my view,
is misled them. The people who watch Channel nine have
been misled, not just on this, and that's why it's different.

(10:39):
I've been lied to plenty of times, but I wrote
a story only messed off protected Cherry Evans and lied
to me. But it was an honorable lie because he
gave his word to d C. Do you see how
but he's not elevation.

Speaker 1 (10:53):
Do you see how a tactic and maybe it is
for the betterment of the club, you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 6 (10:58):
James Graham said that yesterday.

Speaker 7 (11:00):
But the people who should be up to step with
this at nine, the executives at nine. Look, I said
the goalpost changed two weeks or whatever. That's right, but
clearly they were looking at Lochland Galvin before that. I
acknowledged that the Galvin was when he said Galvin wasn't
on their radar. Clearly that's not right. It was always
on their radar. But the goalpost did shift. But the
people who should be upset about us are his employers,

(11:20):
because he's out there, as you said, with smoke and mirrors,
when he's speaking to people who want to know what's
going on, like the viewers, what they want to be informed.
That's what we do. We will form of them every night.
But what's happened in the Rugula League world? But from
him they're getting I don't know what they're getting.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
Are you good?

Speaker 4 (11:38):
I just I think that I think the dogs were
building really nicely. I don't know the collateral damage for me,
Locky Galvin watching all of his footage, he's a six,
so they're going to lose a seven.

Speaker 3 (11:48):
So where does Burton go? We're talking about Crichton.

Speaker 4 (11:51):
Do you lose Burton one of your first signings or
do you lose a fullback?

Speaker 2 (11:55):
I don't know what.

Speaker 3 (11:57):
There you go? So then that's the puzzle.

Speaker 2 (11:59):
And then it's it's become clear that sarsonthon Gordy.

Speaker 1 (12:01):
I already heard some male that he'll be going into
the seventh position.

Speaker 2 (12:06):
Yep, very soon.

Speaker 3 (12:07):
Straight you think he can play seven? Burton Burton matter
in two weeks?

Speaker 1 (12:12):
It's a possibility, yes, And that would probably now with
sext And saying that he'll move on at the season's end,
maybe he's been told.

Speaker 2 (12:19):
I'm not sure that's that that could be the case.

Speaker 1 (12:22):
And when Marny with him moving on, Hayward moves into
the nine and then you've got your spine and they're
not too much disruption. There was talking Crichton and Burt
moving back to fullback, going back to what you said,
will at work. Well, mckinnis made a good point on
the Sunday Tikey yesterday. If you look at the Melbourne
Harves and you look at Jerome Hughes and Kemon Monks
and no one thought they were going to work.

Speaker 2 (12:42):
They're both running harms and they do. The game has
changed a lot now.

Speaker 3 (12:46):
Just quickly.

Speaker 4 (12:47):
But Jerome Hughes, because I heard that Jerome Hughes has
changed his game.

Speaker 1 (12:51):
He has, he'll have to, He'll have to change his game.
But they're very systematic Canterbury, and I've said it on
the show before. They play a simple stuff and Galvin's
got a great short kicking game. Burton's got an awesome
long kicking game. So they do themselves compliment themselves in
that way where they're going to struggle his organization.

Speaker 6 (13:09):
That's where that's the question mark.

Speaker 1 (13:13):
Do they get to the certain points on the field.
Can he slot into that system seamlessly and still add
that extra x fowl X factor that he has. I mean,
he is, he's a young talent and there is no
doubt about that.

Speaker 7 (13:27):
But you just talk about his futy iq.

Speaker 6 (13:29):
Though and the pretty i Q.

Speaker 5 (13:32):
I spoke very very soon your head coach today when
I was driving over him and we're talking about Galvin
spitting in at Cannabury.

Speaker 6 (13:38):
He said he's not a half back. His eyes up
five to eight.

Speaker 3 (13:44):
Who. I think he's a good running a great running.

Speaker 6 (13:46):
Five Yeah, who plays off instinct enormously.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
So I think we're gonna have to pause this. We'll
get back to this.

Speaker 1 (13:55):
We've got we've got plenty more to talk about the
Lochlan Gavin situation, but we've.

Speaker 2 (13:58):
Got to head into Queensland.

Speaker 1 (14:00):
Ken now Wear Maron Superstar Cameron Munster joined us. Now, kem,
thanks for joining us, some of a big fan of yours.
I want to ask one question. You left your boots
in your mouthguard and my place on the weekend. I've
expressed posted them. You haven't let me know if they
arrived yet.

Speaker 8 (14:18):
Yeah, thanks for that, Braith.

Speaker 10 (14:19):
I thought i'd really needed on on Wednesday night. I
needed my boots. So I don't remember my mouthguart. I
don't really make a whole heap of tackles. I'm pretty
much a speed bump, but I might need to make
sure I can get my obviously my dental.

Speaker 8 (14:29):
Plan in place. If I don't wear on Wednesday night, we'll.

Speaker 1 (14:31):
Get you covered by insurance KEMRA, So don't worry about
that now, DC.

Speaker 2 (14:35):
Apparently you met with Ashley Klein. What do you make
of that? Have you met with any referees lately?

Speaker 8 (14:42):
Oh?

Speaker 10 (14:42):
Look, I'm pretty sure that the referee are probably not
a big fan of myself, to be honest. It's probably
always up there putting my hands up and winging and probably.

Speaker 8 (14:49):
Being a victim.

Speaker 10 (14:49):
So I don't think they're probably too keen for me
to go and obviously talk to them.

Speaker 8 (14:52):
But that's the first news.

Speaker 10 (14:54):
I've heard of it, of hearing it from you Brace,
So that's how much I'm in the loop at the
moment with the game. So, like you said, I obviously
didn't bring my boots and my mouth guard the camp,
so that's where my head's out. Just really enjoying the
camp and looking forward to Wednesday.

Speaker 3 (15:07):
Hey, Cam, it's Gordy here.

Speaker 4 (15:08):
Good luck tomorrow manye from every queen or Wednesday Night,
from every Queenslander watching.

Speaker 3 (15:12):
What what do we have to do better? This year
than what we did last year.

Speaker 4 (15:17):
Especially, look, I thought we're really close in Game three,
but we still lost it.

Speaker 3 (15:20):
What do we have to do better as Queenslanders?

Speaker 8 (15:25):
Oh?

Speaker 10 (15:25):
I thought game three we played our standing unfortunately, a
couple of key moments last year, a bit of the
Leu Eye, brilliance to brab and best, just a couple
of little things obviously fill in the space there. But
I feel like Patty probably had a lot of weight
on his shoulders last year. We're obviously losing Tino and Flegler.
I know Flegler hasn't come back this year, but having
Tino back this year is going to buff up the

(15:47):
middle a little bit more and it's just obviously going
to help the weight load with Patty. So I think
for us as a group, looking from Afar, I think
that's probably what they.

Speaker 8 (15:54):
Lacked last year is it's probably.

Speaker 10 (15:56):
Put a lot of energy and a lot of emphasis.

Speaker 8 (15:58):
On Paul Patty.

Speaker 10 (15:58):
So I hope for Lindsey and Tino can take the
weight off him and really enjoy that middle footback and
bring a bit of aggression. I thought that was probably
I thought Tommy and Chess are really good last year
fell short, But yeah, we got Tommy in the utility role,
and I'm sure he'll pay be at his damaging best
on Wednesday night.

Speaker 5 (16:16):
Hey, Kevin, how much of Billy Slater's coaching, his structure
you seem to thrive on being off.

Speaker 6 (16:22):
The calf, predictable, unpredictable.

Speaker 5 (16:26):
Does he give you a license to play that Melbourne
Storm game where no one ever knows what you're going
to do?

Speaker 8 (16:34):
Hey, buzz, here you go, mate.

Speaker 10 (16:36):
I really loved the video as it both put up
on his Instagram.

Speaker 8 (16:38):
Story all the time.

Speaker 10 (16:40):
Look we're footy, looks it's one of those things like
footy and play, probably where my best footy shines. So look,
Bill has been speaking to me about getting my best
game on Wednesday night.

Speaker 8 (16:52):
It helps me when.

Speaker 10 (16:53):
Obviously the game's refed a little bit differently. I know
origin games, everyone talks about the big collisions and stuff,
but just the ball and play.

Speaker 8 (17:00):
I think when the middle forwards get a little.

Speaker 10 (17:02):
Bit tired, a bit more fatigue, I think our spine
or even the blue spine probably thrive in that arena
when the middles get a bit tight and you can
be able to play those sure little trick players or
those key players that you obviously train each and every
day with but yeah, I've got to be able to
ruin the middle and be able to move those big
boys around to be able to play that style of
footy that you're talking about.

Speaker 7 (17:23):
Buzz Hey, Cam sprint read here. I don't want to ask,
very good mate, Leam Martin. You've had a few ding
dong battles over the years, talk to him about that rivalry.

Speaker 10 (17:37):
It's always a great river when you want to play
against the best.

Speaker 8 (17:40):
He's one of the.

Speaker 10 (17:40):
Best back rolls in the game, brings a lot of
aggression and never lets any of his teammates down. So
that's the type of player that you want to play
with and play against. You always want to play against
the best and challenge yourself against the best. So I've
been getting sent articles from everyone, but unfortunately the last
couple of years that I've been chirping up hasn't gone
that way for me.

Speaker 8 (17:59):
So he's got the me at the moment.

Speaker 10 (18:00):
So look, I'm just going to keep my comments to
myself and hopefully.

Speaker 8 (18:03):
Let my footy do the talking.

Speaker 10 (18:04):
On Wednesday last year in the Grand Final, I probably
went a little bit too much on that and ended
up pulling my pants down. So I'm just going to
go out there and play some carefree footy, enjoy.

Speaker 8 (18:13):
It and hopefully get the win.

Speaker 4 (18:15):
Hey Kim, talking about sending messages, have you sent any
messages to your club coaching Craig Bellamy, that's in the
new South Wales team.

Speaker 3 (18:22):
Have you send anything to Bellly eight? Now?

Speaker 8 (18:28):
Look, we have that love relationship.

Speaker 10 (18:29):
Sometimes he hates me more than most people, but look
it's one of those things. I've left him alone, he's
left get me alone, and hopefully he doesn't give away.

Speaker 8 (18:37):
Too many of my dark secrets.

Speaker 10 (18:38):
But I guess having someone like that, that caliber, it's
been around the game for almost twenty five to thirty
years coaching, it's pretty special and I'm sure they'll be
using everything they can to get them a little bit
of information for myself and Harry. But whatever they do
in the game, I won't be shocked by it. But
hopefully I can get the wood over him.

Speaker 8 (18:57):
It'd be nice. I know the boys the Big Three.

Speaker 10 (19:00):
Back in the day when he coached, he was on three,
so hopefully we can make it.

Speaker 8 (19:03):
Oh on four came on.

Speaker 2 (19:05):
A serious night yet the city out last year's Origin series,
and I know how much you love it? How was
it the seeback and watching and watch them lose.

Speaker 10 (19:14):
Yeah, look, it was very disappointing. Look it's not every day,
I know, such such a great game the Origin Arena,
and you always want to play against the best. And unfortunately,
even if I probably was fifty to fifty with my groin,
even if I didn't tear it, I'll probably would have
given myself every opportunity to get to rest up and
play next year, which is this year. So I know
my body and I know if I went into that

(19:35):
at Origin Arena last year, even if I didn't tear
it in the Magic Ground, probably wouldn't have been playing
the bestoota that I wanted to play and queens Land down.
So look, it's disappointing, but hopefully we can make amends
this this Wednesday night, This Queensland crowd at sun Corp,
there's nothing better. And yeah, if you really need any motivation,
having those guys on my own and at Suncrp screaming

(19:56):
at you is one of the best feelings that I'll
ever ever play against. I'll play with and yeah, look
it's one of those things that I'll cherish for a
long time once I retire.

Speaker 5 (20:04):
Cameron, can you quickly confirm a rumor one of my
men in Brisbane? Ye reckons he spotted you with controversial
agent Isaac Moses.

Speaker 6 (20:13):
Is he Is he trying to pinch brace business? Surely not.

Speaker 10 (20:21):
That's actually one of the best comments all the questions
you've ever had for me. Buzz I dodn't even actually
have a manager anymore, to be honest.

Speaker 8 (20:27):
That's very well. I was catching up with him at
the cafe.

Speaker 10 (20:29):
I need a little bit more and more money and
more third parties, and unfortunately my old manager both asked.

Speaker 8 (20:34):
And just didn't do enough for me.

Speaker 10 (20:36):
He's too busy looking pretty and putting himself in the
Daily Mail every week.

Speaker 1 (20:40):
You need more and you need more money, please, Cameron.

Speaker 2 (20:45):
Thanks for joining us mate, now you've been fun as always.

Speaker 1 (20:47):
Just go and enjoy that camp and unfortunately I can't
wish you too much luck.

Speaker 10 (20:51):
Brother, Thanks guys, thanks for having me going to the
Maroons and look after yourself there.

Speaker 1 (20:58):
Ball than there is Kevin Munster just quickly too.

Speaker 2 (21:03):
Did you just get a best of his any Can
you tell us what's just Steve?

Speaker 7 (21:06):
Sorry, Matt Burton's been called into Blues camp soon well
as it looks like the eighteenth man potential on Stean
for paying hats.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
He's been foul Campbell, Graham Man.

Speaker 7 (21:20):
So it's just been calling this.

Speaker 3 (21:22):
Okay, maybe I've got the a bit wrong.

Speaker 1 (21:24):
Let's get back to Gavin, Let's get back to the
Galvin chat. Let's get back to the Bulldogs. And I
was I was giving my reasons why I thought sext
and sorry Galvin would work at half back.

Speaker 2 (21:34):
What do you guys think, Well.

Speaker 7 (21:37):
Broth, you spoke about his footy like Q. I mean,
I think he's smart enough to pull it off. I
think Cavin sorell A smart enough to transform him into
a halfback. And I think it's worth the risk because
as I've said, as I said on this panel, as
I said earlier and numerous times, I don't think that's
spine as it stands right now is good enough to
win the camp And I think Lachlan Gavin potentially, if
he's at his best, he can be the player that

(21:58):
I think they think he can be and most was
thinking can be. Then that that Spine gets a significant upgrade.

Speaker 3 (22:03):
Yeah, the guys I get tapped on the shoulder.

Speaker 4 (22:05):
It's how they hang around the group, right, So whether
they move them on quickly, brave and get them out of.

Speaker 3 (22:10):
There, because if you've helped build.

Speaker 4 (22:12):
To where it is now, and it's a bit of
a jugglenaut the way they do dogs are built, and
I think it's every man has probably pulled in and
they've all pulled in the same direction. Galvin's a talent
produce sign him absolutely, but it's a collateral damage around
him that if I'm a Dog's fan and when sitting
on my couch, hopefully it doesn't disrupt it too much.

Speaker 2 (22:30):
I think the worry is short term pain for long
term gain.

Speaker 1 (22:35):
That's like I see this as a really good signing,
especially because the price they've got him out, like, they've
got him a really good price, and.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
He's only going to get better.

Speaker 1 (22:43):
And he's a ten to fifteen year first grade a
half maybe moves into lock. Whatever it is. He is
an exceptional talent. But there is still a concern. Bus
there's still a concern that this could derail them this year.

Speaker 2 (22:55):
I don't think it will.

Speaker 1 (22:57):
Personally, but you know, it's a very unusual scene situation.
Sitting in first position, the best they've ever been, well,
they've been for a hell of a long time and
the potential of a signing like this disrupting a season
where they I thought they could still win a comp
I mean they're not favorites, but.

Speaker 5 (23:14):
You talk about short term pain, there's not a lot
of pain there at the moment. We keep forgetting that
they deserved lea leaders of this competition for reason and
the way Melbourne are playing so inconsistently and other clubs
like Manly haven't come up Cornala, would you know the
Broncos have been going like bust.

Speaker 6 (23:33):
There are chants this year, particularly with Galvin, that.

Speaker 2 (23:37):
What I will back they have a stronger chance.

Speaker 6 (23:39):
Now you guys are talking. You guys are talking about.

Speaker 1 (23:46):
Sould On Gavin minds you like you know Gus said
he was the best prodigy he's ever seen. He's not
the best prodigy I've ever seen. I think he's got
the potential to be great, but I haven't exactly said
have you seen it yet?

Speaker 5 (23:57):
No. I would think personally to come in from another
club with a couple of training runs play half steer
that side is too and I don't.

Speaker 7 (24:06):
Think you'll start the bet.

Speaker 2 (24:08):
That's what I would have thought.

Speaker 5 (24:10):
The thing worked in Cannabury's favor is that Cameron's around.
They is a great rugby league case, he really is,
and what he's done with that side, Gus has got
a lot of the credit what he's done with that
side last two years.

Speaker 6 (24:24):
He won't stuff this up. They were a real chain.

Speaker 1 (24:27):
That's why he's gone there. Now let's get to the
Eels now. They all thought they had they had him
in the bag. But it was done as far as
was as soon as what.

Speaker 7 (24:34):
Last Friday night they met. They met with Isaac Moses
Friday night, and they walked away from that meeting quietly
confident they were getting.

Speaker 2 (24:40):
Locked and gal.

Speaker 7 (24:41):
They up there offer significant, a reasonable about more than
the Bulldogs offered, and they well, I think their offer
was over eight hundred and I think the Bulldog's average
is about seven hundreds, of my understanding, so at least
another hundred grand a year. And I think they are
optimistic that they they are a big chance. That was
the indication they were getting on Friday night, and then
obviously over the weekend things change.

Speaker 2 (25:01):
So he was a Paramatta fan.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
You've got Mitchell Moses in his ear and the potential
to play with him. Isaac Moses manages both Mitchell and Lachlan.

Speaker 3 (25:10):
Why what happened?

Speaker 2 (25:11):
Why not?

Speaker 7 (25:12):
Well, I don't know the exact reason why, Broth I
can't assume, and I'm obviously close to Luke Vella. I
think there was some phone calls made over the weekend
course of the weekend and his mind changed. But you know,
as of Friday night, my understanding was, as I said,
Paramatta will quietly confident he was coming to them.

Speaker 2 (25:28):
And more money too, and more money.

Speaker 5 (25:30):
Yeah, it's interesting where at least Paramatta now. Look, I
was told over the weekend that sand and Smith will
leave the Roosters even though he's got a year to
go with Cherry Evans coming.

Speaker 6 (25:41):
And he was strongly favoring the Cowboys.

Speaker 5 (25:43):
I've since learned the Paramatta now they know Galvin's not coming.
We'll have a decent crack for sand.

Speaker 4 (25:52):
Sexton gets a role somewhere and maybe Brisbane would be
the perfect place.

Speaker 5 (25:57):
I'd like just see him back at the Titans half
back fozes around this year, but they need absolutely so.

Speaker 1 (26:03):
You mentioned seeing this with a possibility if he leaves
the Roosters, which is being suggested that he will to Paramatta.

Speaker 2 (26:09):
What are their other options?

Speaker 7 (26:11):
Jonah Peasant both one of will means an obvious one.
I mean Jones obviously got that agreement that if Jerome
whose extends, he can look at potentially going on loan
or leaving the class.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
Yeah, he had a clause.

Speaker 1 (26:22):
He's got a clause if Jerome Who's resigns with Melbourne,
then he can to negotiate with other clubs. Let's have
a look at Buzz again, who was in the lab
this morning. He's just got the labsuit on twenty four
to seven at the moment, off contract players twenty five
and twenty six potential opportunities for PARAMOUNTA there, Buzz.

Speaker 6 (26:42):
Well, you can rule out a few of those.

Speaker 5 (26:43):
They won't be going after Jackson Hastings or Cody Walker Woods.

Speaker 6 (26:46):
Your Reynolds I think will stay in Brisbane.

Speaker 5 (26:50):
Toby Sexton might be an option possent your man definite
if they're prepared to wait longer. There's the likes of
Jerome who we expect to stay in Melbourne though, Met
Smith Wisher, there's a good players.

Speaker 3 (27:02):
There, Metcalf.

Speaker 2 (27:08):
Letting go.

Speaker 6 (27:10):
I'll tell you it's a terrific player.

Speaker 5 (27:11):
Jack Cole who can't get a game at Penrith, and
I Reckon I could get him.

Speaker 2 (27:16):
Such a big wrap on Jack.

Speaker 5 (27:17):
I think he's a very very sharp and competent player,
and I know he lost his spot to blaze to argue, right.

Speaker 6 (27:25):
I just think he is a very good first grade.

Speaker 3 (27:28):
Baller, all right.

Speaker 1 (27:29):
Planning to play out in all of this could affect
