Speaker 1 (00:11):
Hello and welcome to aner three sixty rugby league. From
every angle. Queensland have done the unthinkable with the series
on the line, and just four days after losing his father,
Kearen Munster showed incredible courage to inspire the Maroons to
victory and reclaim the shield in front of eighty thousand
Blues fans in Sydney. The Blues and the Maroons with
(00:34):
everything to play for this twenty twenty five Origin series
gets decided right here. Hearts out of the line, huge.
Speaker 2 (00:42):
Shout of there goos crider monster looking out of the back.
Shi was Saki did well to Big Lomacks, gave it
to coach Queen's Land score. Robert Toyer get dragged towards
the sideline, pops it back of lean Sigbo Tapulizino gives.
Speaker 3 (01:00):
It Tim did.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
Laura?
Speaker 4 (01:03):
Do you think you should be the coach of the
Blues and ship most definitely.
Speaker 2 (01:09):
Brands from half Spies and gets into scarn What what
a statement?
Speaker 5 (01:17):
What an ear books from this quints Land signs.
Speaker 4 (01:22):
You know had a really good campaign. We just sort
of didn't nail the moments.
Speaker 6 (01:27):
It's hard to win Origins series back to back.
Speaker 4 (01:29):
We know, that Queensland losing last year was always going
to bounce back.
Speaker 2 (01:33):
Skips to the outside. Mitchell looking inside, finds Tod Off
want to tackle.
Speaker 3 (01:39):
By Tom did it, goes to clearing looks.
Speaker 2 (01:42):
In, plays out Edwards, wrighton.
Speaker 5 (01:46):
La Connor, Stephen Crutton wins.
Speaker 2 (01:49):
The race and the Blues at last have suddenly.
Speaker 1 (01:55):
Did it Shippers and Tom did.
Speaker 7 (01:58):
What a game.
Speaker 2 (01:59):
He's been absolutely brilliant tonight Tom Dan and man of
the match performance for his state, Queenslan Origin champions once again.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
It was an easy decision for me. Queens End's everything
to me. I was obviously born there and I love
them my own and to be able to captain this
team and time send out Pubby as a winner something
that will hold dearly to my heart for the rest.
Speaker 8 (02:27):
Of my life.
Speaker 9 (02:29):
I don't like ranking things, but I've never felt like this.
The bloke to my left, that's that's as courageous and
brave as I've ever seen.
Speaker 4 (02:44):
Boy.
Speaker 9 (02:45):
That's one proud dad sitting up there watching his boy tonight.
Speaker 4 (02:49):
Joining me in the.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
Great Gordon Tallis, Phil Rothfield and James Hooper and Captain
courageous Cameron Munster inspires Queensland to historic victory would have
before moments it was by him and his team.
Speaker 10 (03:02):
Boarding had to be a colossal effort. Cameron monster outstanding.
But our defense the way Queensland approached the game, I
was nervous. I was unsure, you know, the way New
South Wales have dominated us in periods in the last
couple of years. But from the outen and whistle, the
boys are up for it and it was an amazing
(03:22):
night if you're a Queensland.
Speaker 4 (03:24):
Pretty specially wasn't it a Cameron.
Speaker 11 (03:26):
You know, at major events you expect great photography and
great vision. When they came in at the end on
Billy who'd lost his dad with Cameron and the tears
that were flowing in that embrace for quite some time,
it was unbelievable emotion and good on Cameron, very very
(03:47):
brave to get out there and play.
Speaker 6 (03:49):
Phenomenal performance bas not just from Cameron but the entire
Queensland side. And I don't think we can underestimate or undersell.
And James Graham spoke about it here on an RL
through sixteen lead up to the game, the impact that
Cameron being prepared to play for Coinsland as captain of
the state, given the personal situation and tragedy that he
(04:10):
was facing, the emotional lift the way that that side
all seven of those players were dialed in and ready
to run through flames and run through whatever adversity they faced.
They clearly tapped into that and phenomenal performance by camera.
Speaker 1 (04:26):
They're all great, the whole team, and he added inspiration
and motivation to do it for camera and his father
you could see visibly, and that was sensational when I
was talking to camera last night after the game, and mate,
can you believe it? You know, two games ago he'd
lost Game one, you weren't the captain, and you guys
were pretty much on the brink of losing the series.
(04:46):
He gets named the captain, he wins two games, gets
me out of match, his father passes away, goes home,
comes back, and he's holding up the ship like it
was surreal.
Speaker 11 (04:57):
Really, He's got a lot to deal with, brace with
his dad in the next couple of weeks and you know,
the final of the buy in, the funerals, all that
sort of thing. But what lies ahead now after what
we've seen from him this series, not just his future
at Melbourne Storm, but these expansion clubs looking for a
face of a club and the champion and even you know,
I'm thinking about the Kangaroo tour. It's going to be
(05:19):
a very difficult tour of England. And he's now neck
and neck with Isaac Eo for the captaincy of Australia
after what he's done this series.
Speaker 4 (05:29):
Where is he right now amongst Queensland greats? Where do
you have him?
Speaker 10 (05:35):
He's up there, he's up there. What's that twenty? Okay,
they don't lie, but I'm not a statman. It's just
what he does in the jersey for the guy to
come and have the influence on the game, the way
he does, the way he bounces, but more importantly, the
way the guy's lifted from him. So with leadership, you know,
(05:55):
they all come in different shapes and sizes, but they
all followed him.
Speaker 4 (05:58):
I know you're not a statsman, but these are pretty
good stats.
Speaker 8 (06:01):
Unbelievable stats.
Speaker 10 (06:02):
Yeah, but he don't need those stats to show for
me when I watch him play on how important he
is to outside And last year I thought it was
the blueprint the way we played.
Speaker 12 (06:10):
In Game three.
Speaker 10 (06:11):
We had everything but Cameron Munster and Tino and we
had it this year and we know the boys put
in the same effort. It is a team game. Was
Tommy didn was outstanding, Ruben Cotter was out like there
was so well all seventeen. Queensland is absolutely outstanding. But
Munsters just sometimes he can go on to a level
that only he goes on.
Speaker 6 (06:31):
There's only one king in Wally Lewis, but Cameron's starting
to get frighteningly close to where the king is. And
you've got Alfie Langer, You've got Kevy Wolders, You've got
Darren Locke, you have an all those champion playmakers and
over the years, but what Cameron can do in big
games facing adversity. Nobody gave Coinsland a chance in this
(06:52):
series after how dominant.
Speaker 13 (06:53):
Yourself Wills were in Game one.
Speaker 6 (06:55):
So for Cameron to be made captain and lead the
state with his actions the way that he has, I
think that puts him.
Speaker 10 (07:02):
Jones the closest to and Cameron Smith. But if he
gets one more man of the match performance out of
those thirty four guys, well I.
Speaker 8 (07:09):
Think he's equal with those guys.
Speaker 11 (07:11):
Whenever Wan he Lewis speaks to the lunch engagement and
he does a lot of them. In Brisbane, a sportsman's lunch.
He talks, he always brings cameraon up and he also
always talks about he's up there with the greatest players
to ever wear the jersey coming from the King.
Speaker 1 (07:24):
Absolutely, that's enough. Let's look at Queensland a bit more broadly. Now,
we'll start with Billy Slater and his coaching masterclass. Under
huge pressure after game one, he made some big decisions,
especially made change going into game three, and he has
pulled everyone's pants down because what an effort it was
by ingrdy.
Speaker 10 (07:40):
Oh yeah, look, obviously the changes and the pick and
flick were we picked and flicked, but it worked for
us to bring Tommy did and in so much pressure
on a young guy that has played at this level
and done a really good job. But to come into
Sakia captain and for Tommy didn't to stand up in
the last two games. But I thought out front, I
thought Lindsey Tin and Big Papa in the middle were
(08:02):
absolutely outstanding. Aliero Carrygan at our Fuward pack stood up,
did their job, and our backs just the whole bit
of the icing on the cake.
Speaker 11 (08:11):
Really, in my view with Billy is the what mailmn
Inger and Wayne Bennett and the great coaches have done.
Speaker 12 (08:16):
I think this is up there with it.
Speaker 11 (08:19):
As you said, Gordy to come back from one down,
to get rid of three or four players, to make
the toughest phone call he's ever made to Jerry Evans
to bring deaden into the football. So I got rid
of made fight awake, I got rid of both. From
a bench Carrigan bench, Jeremiah Nan, I just huge changes.
Speaker 8 (08:37):
Well, he moved tall. It should be real.
Speaker 10 (08:40):
So the change that Shibasaki, he's pretty much got two
rookie centers up against your two most important.
Speaker 6 (08:47):
Tuff shown enormous intestinal fortitude and also willingness to take
huge risks like the daily Jerry Evans call. That's one
of the biggest calls in State of Ore shrning call
of this series, I think so absolutely. I think from
from that moment, from a Coinsland point of view, I
think from that moment on, I think Billy made thirteen
(09:08):
changes in total from the team that started in Game
one to the team that started last night with the
Obviously the wingers were.
Speaker 12 (09:15):
Hoached and came up that was outstanding. The Coats move.
Speaker 6 (09:19):
Bringing Kirk cape wallback didn't into half back rat to
start at thirteen. There were so many risks that Billy took,
but it just shows biggest diligence.
Speaker 4 (09:29):
His biggest risk, without doubt.
Speaker 1 (09:31):
I'm just to ask you then, was dropping the captain
absolutely because a lot of people didn't want him to
do it.
Speaker 4 (09:36):
A lot of people said it was the wrong thing
to do.
Speaker 6 (09:37):
It was a hard decision, It was a tough decision,
and he was always going to face enormous backlash and
scrutiny as the result of it, and was going to
be right that I was going to say, Gordy very easy,
could have been a bust rather than a victory, and
all of a sudden it's all sorts of negative headlocks and.
Speaker 4 (09:53):
Didn't didn't let him down.
Speaker 1 (09:55):
You know, not only did he bring well not a
rookie half, but you know he's brought young did and
he got the Wally Lewis Medal.
Speaker 11 (10:05):
And you know, we always talk about origin moments and
they're really really special. When was heading for that left
hand side try line, he's paying a dollar way for
the score, no one stops him, and didn't.
Speaker 12 (10:21):
It was an origin moment.
Speaker 11 (10:23):
Came across and basically bent him in half, not just
stopped him, but put him into touch was outstanding football.
Speaker 4 (10:30):
He was everywhere, didn't everywhere.
Speaker 1 (10:32):
He was even celebrating after the game and after a
long night of celebrations. The Queensland has a great value
when they fronted the cameras this morning.
Speaker 13 (10:40):
Now the celebrations, yeah they went on early end.
Speaker 8 (10:44):
Of the morning. What the times you get home? Just then?
Speaker 7 (10:52):
Yeah, we just come together and I think you look
back at game one we didn't quite get it right,
and then Game two we played well for forty minutes
and then it was nice tonight that we could put
a solid performance on and take home the series.
Speaker 5 (11:06):
I don't know how much trouble I get it for
saying this, but jeez, I thought as Clyde did it
did a bit to try, and you know, even and
up sitting there going it's rudy. The game's rudy. Here,
what's in four passes? And you know what I mean,
we're all on the side. I just going, oh no,
he's it's a double agent.
Speaker 1 (11:21):
The boys had had a few shermans the Ireckon Curry
ripped in big time, but Cotta and din That hadn't
slept and Kerr was questioning the ref after me, But.
Speaker 10 (11:30):
I just rub and Cotder so really said that, yeah,
there was a chance of him playing hooker because that's
where he'd played in the juniors.
Speaker 8 (11:35):
He's a middle at the Cowboys and one ready mate
and one of the better middles. He played on an edge.
Speaker 10 (11:42):
It's tough on an edge against Crichton and Liam Martin
and he and by game three he was he was
one of the big.
Speaker 11 (11:49):
Reason why I reckon Grant's the other guy you're talking
about and Kyder Grant was awful game one, he really was.
It was so unlike Harry Gramt his last two games.
He was sensation why it's the best talk in the country.
Speaker 8 (12:01):
I think he made over fifty tackles in the middle
to last night.
Speaker 6 (12:04):
To be fair to Reuben, he was pouring game on.
I think he was one of the players that was
on the chopping block. But again to Billy's diligence and
his aptitude and the level of detail that he goes.
Speaker 13 (12:14):
To shifted him to the right edge.
Speaker 6 (12:15):
So obviously saw something that he went, you know what,
I reckon he can do a job on that side.
And as for the celebrations, well, Gordy, that just continues
as a tradition, doesn't it. Like you've had j Arrow
in the cane tad hat over the years. I think
Alfie does mine six more songs and dancing around on
the table.
Speaker 10 (12:31):
That's the moment, because yeah, yeah, and I think that
they do get together, you know, in December or something
like that.
Speaker 8 (12:38):
But that's the moment that you want to be. That's
the reason.
Speaker 10 (12:40):
Right if you win, and you win a decider in
Sydney against a great state, I think it's time to celebrate,
all right.
Speaker 1 (12:47):
Gordy, We've had your time to celebrate. I'm not sorry
because you celebrate the next year. But we want to
get to New South Wales and what happened now. I've
been receiving text messages from the start of kickoff till
right now from fans all across the country about New
South Wales. They're in shock. They couldn't believe the result,
(13:10):
as most of us couldn't as well. Where did they
go wrong?
Speaker 12 (13:16):
We got an hour out and a half. Look, I'll
just say this.
Speaker 11 (13:20):
I've been trying to get Dave Trodden, the CEO of
the New so last two hours. He won't pick up.
But after that performance last night and the first half
in Perth, I think we do need a full review
of the series and which will involve their coach. You
look at the star floy was given, Frank Ponici, Craig
Bellamy doing young Matt King, Brett White and it was
(13:42):
an unlosable in my opinion, an unlosable series. If you
match the players one to seventeen against each other, our
side's worth more.
Speaker 12 (13:51):
I'm telling you it is.
Speaker 11 (13:52):
But we did not turn up and look up Braith,
I looked at each half of the Queens had only
won two. It's a whole series, but those two halves
they won, they absolutely blasted off the park and we
need an explanation. All the people who are texting you,
every fan in New South Wales, we need to do
(14:14):
a full review into what went wrong.
Speaker 4 (14:16):
What do you think why they lose?
Speaker 11 (14:18):
It's a really hard one to explain because I said
on paper we're a better football side. In hindsight, it's
easy to come in the next day and say, oh,
should Lui have been five eight? Hasn't been setting the
world on fight the West Tigers. Would Matt Burton, who's
been sensational for the Bulldog's been a better option there.
Do you even go further and look at someone like
(14:39):
Ethan Strange at Canberra, he's got that side of that.
He's a five eight. You've got to look at Max King.
You've got to look at the loss of Barnett in.
Speaker 12 (14:48):
The front row.
Speaker 11 (14:49):
Really really tough dude, and Max King as a starting
prop couldn't duplicate what he did. You know, as I said,
you could spend an hour looking at it. The bottom
line is that comes back. I don't want Lorry to go.
I think Lorry deserves another chance. Just mean, before I
say why, it is the coach's responsibility.
Speaker 4 (15:11):
In shore.
Speaker 11 (15:11):
The team is presented for every game ready to go,
and the last two games they were not ready to go.
Speaker 4 (15:16):
They were flogged.
Speaker 11 (15:17):
So the first halt, why does Lory deserve another goal?
Because it's only had one year? And as I said,
you and you'll bag me Gordyll bagged me.
Speaker 7 (15:28):
No.
Speaker 11 (15:29):
In Perth we only lost that game on goalkick. We's
called five tries to four. I'm not excusing the pathetic
first half performance, but the fact you can't excuse it.
Speaker 5 (15:39):
I can't.
Speaker 4 (15:42):
What do you want to sacking hoops?
Speaker 7 (15:44):
No?
Speaker 6 (15:44):
I think the biggest concern, and plenty of very good
judges have said it is that after a terrific performance
in game one, they saved their worst for last, and
they got progressively worse over the course of the series,
and it is a three game series. As the games
went on, the Blues got worse and they didn't take
their lessons out of game two. They missed the kick
(16:07):
at the beginning of Game two. They weren't dialed in
on the same emotional level as what the Moraines were.
And then in game three it was a very similar story.
The Moraines just came out. Their line speed was phenomenal.
The way they were rushing New South Wales's halves in
defense and cutting down their time and space was on
a different level, and we didn't appear to have a
(16:30):
plan bil Joey John said that Joe Arthury now, he
said that Nathan Cleary at the moment, he hasn't got
enough time in terms of what they're.
Speaker 4 (16:40):
Trying to Laurie. He hasn't got the best record.
Speaker 1 (16:44):
Right, it's zero and four and decideds two of those
are in Sydney. If you look at the three games,
they were good in game one without being great, and
we thought, you know, they're only going to improve, so
they should win the series. They got blown off the
park in game two, and we could excuse that they
just missed the jump. They come back and nearly won,
and then yesterday at home they lose the unlosable and
(17:07):
they weren't even close. But this is the thing, they
weren't even close last night. The crowd was silent because
they were taken completely out of the game and they
didn't look like winning.
Speaker 4 (17:19):
They barely fired a shot.
Speaker 8 (17:21):
Now we've all had one of those performances.
Speaker 4 (17:24):
Is that the players, well it's a combination of the players.
Speaker 1 (17:29):
Yeah, yeah, they'd have a look at the moments that
I think led to the Blues being in trouble last night,
and started with Leui. This was the first It wasn't
the first step, but it was early on the game
they were actually dominating. This was the only time they
really dominated was the first sort of ten to fifteen minutes,
and that was they just made a half break down
the right hand, so I went to.
Speaker 4 (17:49):
The left and you just got to get those moments right.
This one ride here was costly.
Speaker 1 (17:54):
They didn't see the ball or get good field positioned
for a long while after this, this is what started
the Queensland Juggernau.
Speaker 4 (18:00):
Now the next one was this was big.
Speaker 1 (18:02):
Later in the game we got to within reach, we
were starting to get on top of them. And then
on tackle four, which wasn't a bad option from Crichton,
but it said a lot about where we were at.
Speaker 4 (18:11):
We kicked the ball.
Speaker 1 (18:12):
It looks like we're going to get a repeat set
of six. We're building pressure. Look where coach picks his
ball up. Look at our chase. Look at the chase here.
Like that was the end of the game right there.
That's when it was over and Queensland were everywhere last night.
They were chasing every ball and then the Harry Grant
try you know this again, quick play the ball from din,
which he done on a night he threatens. He played
(18:33):
square which we didn't, and then off the back of
that to quick play the ball. But still, look at
the numbers we've got there, Like that's when I thought,
you know what, we're in big trouble. That was a
bit earlier on, but you know, there's probably a couple
other moments. But the reason Queensland won is they hunted
like a pack of hyenas. Their speed of the line
was relentless. It was ruthless though in our face and
(18:55):
we didn't adjust. We did not adjust. This is a
bit of their play. Watched this now Deaden's up in
Lewie's face, giving them no time and space. If you
look on the outside here, they've actually got numbers.
Speaker 4 (19:06):
But we didn't. We didn't adjust.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
You said, well, I was didn't adjust until the second half.
Again here, look at you know, this looks quite simple,
but Cleary's pretty flat.
Speaker 4 (19:14):
They're up in our face. Pressure.
Speaker 1 (19:16):
Everything was rushed with our attack, our halves at no
point really gave themselves enough time and space. Again here
you'll see did and the Monster was doing on the
other side. And again kind of there. You know, they
just limited our time and space and we didn't. We
just didn't adjust. And I'll show you the difference.
Speaker 4 (19:32):
Just have a look at Cameron, Monster and did in
these clips. This is month. Look how deep they are.
Speaker 1 (19:37):
Now, Look where Didon is and look where Monster is
and now play the tape. He's next to you there
Monster buzz and then he takes off like just gives
him that extra couple of steps to stray the pass. Yes,
lo Mak should have made the tackle, but because of that,
and you'll see the defensive new Self was a lot.
Speaker 4 (19:54):
They're really passive.
Speaker 1 (19:55):
They're passive on the edges because Queensland are coming out
their mats, be watching get the ball on the run
at the advantage line. They've got two or three meters
to play with. News of Us had nothing. So it's
a combination more depth in attack and then not enough
speed of the line. New South, Well, I was continuing
the next one and again it just rolls on. We'll
just show this last one. This was dead and it
was the leader.
Speaker 4 (20:16):
This is all.
Speaker 1 (20:16):
This is the last play. This is a simple last play.
But look at the passive defensive line. Didn's just going straight.
He's playing direct, he's playing square, he's threading a defensive line.
Speaker 4 (20:25):
It was chalk and cheese. So and this takes me
back again. You know, it's a combination of.
Speaker 1 (20:30):
The players, but it's also a combination of coaching.
Speaker 4 (20:34):
But that's what Jade was talking about too.
Speaker 6 (20:37):
I've heard plenty of Chapman players say over the years
that you can get a good barometer of how much
a team is invested and dialed in the contest by
the effort area's kick chase, by how many jumpers are
in the frame when it comes to trying to cut
off a desperation try at the last second. Yes, Zach
Lamax made a bad defensive decision early, but I think
(20:59):
you can actually go back to when Mitch mas has
got injured in camp in Game two and Mitchell's style
of being a half back breath and you can speak
to this a lot better than I can. Seems to
suit State of Origin football better than what Nathan Clearies
does at this point in time. And Nathan has had
a number of cracks. He's now zero to three in
(21:21):
series deciders. He's a champion player, out and out champion
at club level, but for whatever reason, the Pantherized.
Speaker 13 (21:28):
Style of attack, it's come unstuck a couple of times.
Speaker 6 (21:31):
Now, this isn't the first series that we've lost off
the back of trying to emulate a system that's worked
at Penrith but hasn't been able to translate into State
of Origin. And a huge part of that comes back
to the coaching.
Speaker 1 (21:45):
Yeah, you're going to play square, you got to play
direct and you've got to run the footy in Origin
and then you get the quick play.
Speaker 11 (21:50):
You know what, Larry the second half comeback in Perth,
because what that did it covered up the need to
make changes. Billy on a winning side, made a couple
of significant changes. Okay, now what Laurie did? He thought, Oh, look,
it's only like I said, only goal kicks. We nearly
got him at the end, we scoreboard tries. I'll stick
(22:13):
to what we go and I don't think that did
him any fat and Lurie was so strong on playing
loyalty card copying Queensland, but Queensland used to talk about
all the time it didn't work. There are a couple
of players on that side I would remove next year.
Speaker 8 (22:28):
But after game two, who would you have changed? It's
different now after after game.
Speaker 12 (22:32):
To there were plenty to change because we were so
bad in that first half.
Speaker 1 (22:35):
Well, let's let's get back to Cleary because a lot
of you know, I'm actually feeling for him today because
as much as it wasn't one of his better performances at.
Speaker 4 (22:42):
All, he tried his heart out. I know he'd be
hurting and I've been in that position before. It's awful.
Speaker 1 (22:47):
A lot of people have been highly critical of him today,
any question of his performance in even his future in
the in origin, what are you guys thinking?
Speaker 4 (22:57):
Do you walk up start next year. Yeah, I think he.
Speaker 12 (23:00):
I think the bloke's just an out and out champion.
Speaker 11 (23:03):
He was when we talk about how bad New South
Wales were, that first half was as good. And I
know Coeens haven't had better players Meninga miles Sheer of
all these guys, but no one has perfected forty minutes
of football and held the in the intensity of Origin,
(23:23):
not made one mistake like that Queensland side did, so
that gives them momentum that makes it very hard for
New South Wales.
Speaker 12 (23:31):
There's nothing doing and broken play.
Speaker 11 (23:34):
I look Cleary was really disappointed and he spoke about that,
but no way would I be sacking a man of
his classy. Surely he's won three series, He's played seventeen
Origin games at halfback.
Speaker 12 (23:46):
I think he deserves another crack.
Speaker 6 (23:48):
I think you've got to give him enormous credit Buzz
for fronting up and addressing Absit not Dodge one interview
after the game last night, and he knew that all
the questioning was going to be about the final frontier
our eight to nine in the starting number seven jumper.
We spoke to him in the lead up to the
game about it on this show and he addressed it.
He said that he was aware of it and it
(24:09):
was something that he did want to conquer. That gave
me as a Blues supporter, that actually gave me quite
a lot of confidence. You can't pin at all on Nathan,
but I think the combination of Nathan with Mitch Moses
worked so well in game one, and we just saw
Mitchell's all round kicking game, direct running style that worked
brilliantly for New South Wales in last year series and
(24:31):
in the opening game this year.
Speaker 4 (24:33):
So the kicking game cost us in games two and three.
Speaker 13 (24:36):
What was Nathan's normally such a.
Speaker 10 (24:39):
Point so must be written that but he's grewing must
be really sore, because you know, everybody said he didn't
have a running game the last couple of years.
Speaker 8 (24:46):
His running games means a blind that's what's got all
those moments. But he but he wasn't.
Speaker 6 (24:51):
He ran the ball plenty good, he just didn't have
any time or space because the suffocated him with that umbrella.
Speaker 4 (24:57):
Ed to adjust and I said, I showed it before.
Speaker 1 (24:59):
We did adjust until the second half, and even then
because they were so far ahead and that they were
so up for it, we were closer, but we were
a lot better, but it was too late, you know,
And the same thing happened in game two. We adjusted
in the second half. He can't be adjusting in second
halves of origin. We've had twenty points put on first
for you just can't.
Speaker 11 (25:21):
I think he deserves to be there next year. I'm
not so sure about his position in the Australian so I.
Speaker 1 (25:27):
Don't think anyone's saying sack him. No, it's just it's
it is becoming a little bit of an issue for
us or not.
Speaker 13 (25:35):
No, I think it's warranted, and I think it's totally warranted.
Speaker 6 (25:38):
The fact that it's being discussed and that he accepts
it as a criticism. Nathan's spoken personally about that.
Speaker 13 (25:44):
Last night. He said, I know what's coming, and I
understand you.
Speaker 4 (25:48):
Don't think the halves are an issue. I think it's fine.
Speaker 11 (25:50):
As I said at the start, I'm not sure about
Louis and I hope Moses is back next year. But
I think is Lui gone man? I would think so.
That seven tackle Kickie gave it was a terrible kick.
I don't even know why they went to the left
side then and let him kick. An Australian team now
Who's Who's Tom Diedan's to half and the Five Acts
(26:10):
came a monster that has to be I have to follow.
Speaker 13 (26:14):
They played in this series.
Speaker 11 (26:15):
Providing their whole form and when the Kangaroos go away,
and as I said before, Munster and Isaiah, yeah, will
be interesting call for the captaincy Tom Didon has to be.
You can't win a Wally Lewis Medal do everything. He
did not be made Australian half back. There was no
point having interstate series if you're just going to kick
that for me out and the Cowboys are struggling.
Speaker 12 (26:35):
He mightn't play finals, but he'd be my half on
what I've seen.
Speaker 1 (26:39):
So moving forward for New South Wales, it's cleary of
Moses and hopefully Moses is fit for next year.
Speaker 4 (26:45):
And that's that's kind of the harves, isn't it.
Speaker 11 (26:47):
I think so until the Cartoas come through, until strangers ready,
I think they will be a wonderful week.
Speaker 1 (26:54):
I was flying next year he's another year under his building.
He comes out and just we're just going, we're in
awe of his performances for the first couple of months
of the year.
Speaker 4 (27:02):
What happened to that?
Speaker 13 (27:04):
I reckon, I reckon. I.
Speaker 6 (27:06):
Given the way that Billy Slater dropped Daily Jerry Evans
in this year's series, he might be prepared to make
a hard decision.
Speaker 11 (27:13):
If he was in, he might give Cleary game one,
then decided, same as Slader.
Speaker 4 (27:18):
It's interesting in it. It is so now you second Cleary. No,
I'm not.
Speaker 11 (27:24):
And I've defended him, and I've put him on a
pedestal higher than most because of poor straight title and
fired straight ground.
Speaker 4 (27:31):
And he deserves to be there. He does all right.
Speaker 1 (27:33):
Stick Around yourn is up next, Cameron surroundo Let's rip
over the constant questions around Lochlin alb
