Speaker 1 (00:12):
Welcome to three sixty Rugby League from every angle. Watch
you by fort Everest joining me yet again, the great
Gordon talents. It's been a journal is in buzz Rothfield
and Brett Reed. And we've got West Tiger's CEO Shane
Richardson coming up after that win yesterday. Gorny, that'd be fun.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
He's been around the game for a long time, so
looking forward to hearing what he's got. The same Panthers
are very successful at the Panthers and the Bunnies.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
First win in seven weeks. The West Tiger's desperately needed.
Can't wait to hear rich O explain Lockland Galvin Tallon
de Silver out the door and I really want to
learn not just why they left, but why they wanted
to leave.

Speaker 4 (00:49):
What they didn't see at the West Tiger.

Speaker 1 (00:51):
Interesting, we're asking all those questions. You want to stick
around us?

Speaker 4 (00:54):
I'd love too much.

Speaker 1 (00:55):
Should we go back a long way?

Speaker 4 (00:58):
We've had our ups and down Rocky Road or Rocky Road.

Speaker 3 (01:01):
Well, Rugby league journalism is not a popularity contest.

Speaker 1 (01:10):
It's not.

Speaker 3 (01:10):
And when people go through rough spots, you've got to
report on it.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
You said you set ups and downs, but mainly ups
or mainly downs us rich out when.

Speaker 4 (01:20):
He gets on okay, he'll probably say.

Speaker 1 (01:22):
Down the Raiders. They're on fire leading the competition. They
got two buys in here and they had a good
win on the weekend to just get two points clear
of the Melbourne Storm. Have overtaken the Bulldogs and you
had them finishing fourteen three this year.

Speaker 5 (01:37):
You know what, I'm still three spots better off than
make carry on the spoon.

Speaker 6 (01:43):
Covered well. They had them for the spoon fair income.

Speaker 5 (01:45):
They've done amazing and the minor premiership premiership is basically
flavor complean. Now, I think they're going to be hard
to toss, real hard to toss.

Speaker 1 (01:52):
Will they go they buzz?

Speaker 3 (01:53):
Yeah. I'm trying to work out if they can win
a comp because you look at those two front railers,
Tarp and the big Parper. You look at the strength
they got on edges. They got a stack of edges.
They've got beef and strange that genius at vib eight.
That the half's a good player, and their back five
is so much speed and they're adventurous.

Speaker 6 (02:12):
Ok.

Speaker 4 (02:12):
Weeks is business superstar.

Speaker 1 (02:14):
He was superb thrond the three tries two of those
tries highlights reals for the rest of the now. You
said it, but I want to get you two in
this now. Can they win the competition? Yes?

Speaker 2 (02:25):
Okay, why why? Because they're young. They got two front
rowers they can knock down the front door. The halves
are playing with a lot of confidence, and they got speed,
they got X factor, they got hard working back rowers
and that's what you need. And they got confidence. I
think they've done enough through the year that when they
go into the big games they'd be confident to win them.

Speaker 5 (02:43):
I think it's wide open. It's obviously wide open. I
think the team that beats Melbourne if if they can
win the comp and wouldn't surprise me if they're in
the Grand final of Melbourne. The way they're going at
the moment, they're just as Gordy said, They've just got
all the.

Speaker 6 (02:54):
Components that you need. Can they win it?

Speaker 1 (02:57):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (02:57):
Yeah, I think they can win it.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:59):
The big thing breath as youth and the fact they've
only had one buy. They're so young, they're so fit
and I use that word adventurous before. Ricky doesn't shackle anyone.
They play to their natural ability and they seem to
recover at that age quicker than some of the older
foot I don't know.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
I think there are chance.

Speaker 1 (03:19):
They're great. The watch very excited to watch and he
mentioned the youth and they've got their recruitment right, which
is very difficult for Cambra for different reasons. But they've
nailed this, haven't they. Yes.

Speaker 3 (03:30):
I was going to say, if you needed to print
in a newspaper the names of every knockback Ricky Stewart
has had in the last ten years, you'd need natee
page lift out. They have gone after so much big
name talent and outside of the Englishmen they've signed, they
have not been able to deliver in the national capital. However,

(03:51):
they changed their tactics and they've got what six or
seven ye said, I was under nine seven a couple.

Speaker 6 (03:56):
Of years ago.

Speaker 5 (03:57):
Yeah, women, it's paid off from as I. England going
young has paid off of them in Spadesman Tamali Eathan Stranger,
two of the guys had picked from that younger that
new said under nineteen c M. K. A. Weeks have
got for Manly where he wasn't necessarily wanted and didn't
really have a spot there. So I've been very intelligent
with their with their recruiting.

Speaker 1 (04:16):
Well one players go there? Why they hesitant? Is it
the weather? Is it?

Speaker 3 (04:20):
Well, if you have a choice of living near the
beach at Crnala or Eastern Suburbs or Manly or you
know in a town where it's it's more it's cold there,
and it's it is and you know they have had
trouble for that very reason. Attracting good football playing like.

Speaker 6 (04:40):
This they will help them.

Speaker 5 (04:43):
If they can play at this and compete and be
in the finals every year. Players I want to go there.

Speaker 3 (04:47):
They're going to get stronger too. They've got people like
Maddie Nicholson to come back. They'll get Hudson Young back
after the origin.

Speaker 6 (04:53):
Those ref injury both.

Speaker 3 (04:56):
I love to say that page lifting one day. Yeah, well,
I'll tell you what. There's bad a lot of knockbacks.

Speaker 1 (05:01):
After another disappointing loss, Dragon's coach Shane Funning and Bristol
that questions about his half back, but he did have
support from Ricky Stewart.

Speaker 7 (05:11):
Did they are going from the crowd towards Kyle spur
on the team at all?

Speaker 4 (05:16):
Never heard it?

Speaker 6 (05:18):
What would the crowd be?

Speaker 1 (05:19):
Bill and call for just kick conversion?

Speaker 6 (05:21):
Early in the game.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
They were quite passionate this camera.

Speaker 4 (05:23):
They do that.

Speaker 1 (05:24):
That's good. That's going to happen everywhere. What is this
sort of I mean, the win last week and then
this week, but you came so close, but you should
have wanted.

Speaker 7 (05:35):
I think it's a disgrace. How how you guys in
the Moodia are just absolutely bashing the kid. I've got
a sun plane and that's my biggest fear you people,
not him, but the media. I think it's a disgrace
what he's so called supporters and so called dragon supporters,
the social media, the bullshit that he has to listen

(05:56):
to and cop. I know he's old manal handler, but
he'd be torture for his mother and his sisters.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
Shane Funny in there fight up over that question about
your son, and then Ricky Stewart has left to the
defense and a strong defense of his mate Shae and
his son Kyle. What do we make of that?

Speaker 5 (06:13):
I think it's been unfair blaming the media, because I
think all we've done in this show in particular is
debate the merits of whether Kyle should be in the
team necessary or how Kyle's playing. I think you know,
obviously over and over again. I don't think Kyle Flanning
is the issue at the Dragons, and the issue is
that they've got guys playing you said, whilst couple playing
really well and you've got to reward those guys. I mean,

(06:33):
that's debating form and players and whether they should be
in the team. That's not being critical beyond the bounds
of what we normally do.

Speaker 1 (06:43):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (06:43):
Look, I'm a bit torn on this because I don't
think Kyle is an elite halfback and I don't think
the Dragons do. And I think his dad's on record
is saying that and Tim Watts for the new chief executive,
and I rate Tim Watts, but I had a couple
of conversations with him and you picked up the piece
from what he said on the podcast last week. Kyle
was never hired by Saint George la Warry to been

(07:05):
elite halfback. They saw him more originally as a forward
doing something to play Hawker five eight come off the bench.
There was a shortage there. Lochlannilius was dropped early in
the year. Glover was going okay. They haven't been able
to make it back into the side. That's a debate.
That's out there among their fans. It's got very nasty

(07:25):
on social media and look, I do feel for the family.

Speaker 4 (07:28):
As Ricky said, it's not.

Speaker 1 (07:31):
Social media, not the actual media.

Speaker 5 (07:33):
Well that's just what's something on social media's disgusting, broath
and no one should con done what's been said about
Kyle and his dad on social media because it's beyond
the pale.

Speaker 6 (07:42):
But that's I think the media debate is valid.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
Yeah, it's a fair point you made too. They didn't
buy him as a fourteen or nine and now he's
landing at seven.

Speaker 3 (07:50):
And the problem Kyle's had and what's fired up the
debate is that week after week the new South Wales
Cup side with Lochlanilius and Jonah Glover have been winning
football again.

Speaker 1 (08:01):
On the weekend and Jerry John's messages me to and
said now I'm both outd I think.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
It's fair what people are saying the social media. It's
just because your dad coaches you, it doesn't mean that
it goes away. Just I menagine if Luke Brooks's dad
coached him.

Speaker 6 (08:14):
I think some of the social media go.

Speaker 2 (08:17):
Brad Arthur something through heavy. Yeah, but we're not over
the top. No, No, the media yeah, but the Dragons
fans have always always been like that. They used to
carry coffins around the ground like and they'd been pretty
nasty for a long note like they have for like
a long time.

Speaker 1 (08:33):
But who's the coffin from? It was one of the
officials one day.

Speaker 2 (08:37):
But you know what the thing is with Kyle, the
poor kid, is he couldn't make it at the Dogs.

Speaker 1 (08:42):
He couldn't make it at the Roosters. So there's history there.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
So when you go there and you watch it and
every half back's targeted, and when your dad coaches you,
it's always going to be around because it was with
Jake Arthur, it was with Billy Walters, and now it
is with this kid. And the anyway it's going to
go away is if he changes clubs and makes it
without his dad, and that's it, And that's the end
of the story.

Speaker 4 (09:05):
That's all fair comment. You know, it really is.

Speaker 3 (09:08):
And it's a difficult one, as I've said before. Unless
you're John Lang and you've got Martin Lane, unless you're
I haven't clear and you've got Nathan and they automatic
selections every day of the week, it can get typicult.

Speaker 1 (09:23):
It seems the beginning ugly at the Dragons or is
it online attacks? Debellon hugging influencer alleged try celebration bullying
on the weekend with Denny Wider's article from the City
Morning Herald. What was this all about?

Speaker 5 (09:38):
Well, there's been some try celebrations after tries that some
of the players have done.

Speaker 6 (09:43):
Basically, I think.

Speaker 5 (09:44):
It's imitating a burger, which is apparently a term which
I didn't know about.

Speaker 6 (09:47):
It's a term for Derek or someone Derek.

Speaker 4 (09:51):
They call each other, You're a burger, You're an imbecile.

Speaker 5 (09:54):
But the club said that this is affectually a term
of endement at the club, and you know they they've
obviously spoken the place about it.

Speaker 6 (10:02):
They don't have an issue.

Speaker 4 (10:03):
I mean an issue is getting caught a burger.

Speaker 6 (10:07):
Has been suggested.

Speaker 5 (10:11):
If what's been suggested the article was true, it's disgraceful.

Speaker 3 (10:14):
B Can I just jump in. I spoke to the
manager of Damian Cook today. I didn't want a pest
a cookie. He checked it out with Cookie. You've seen
Cookie speak about the funny and situation, he insists, and
he did one to Cookie.

Speaker 4 (10:30):
It's an in house g up. Think your burger, that's
what it is.

Speaker 1 (10:35):
I find it very hard to believe that. Its very
hard to believe. And you know, I think unless you've
got solid evidence of that, because this is this is
this is personal because you're talking about you're talking it's
all alleged, right, but you're talking about it is personal
because it's his teammates and suggesting that he's being quite
like visibly called a burger by his teammates on the

(10:58):
field while he's standing next to them, and you've got
no real evidence of that apart from here say that.
That's like, we talk about being critical of players and
Kyle's no exception of that in terms of his performance,
of critiquing him and you being unhappy with his form
and that. But this is, this is a bit different.
This is personal, and this is what we don't like.
This is what probably Ricky Stewart was alluding to. You know,

(11:20):
is he going beyond criticism of performance?

Speaker 5 (11:24):
You know, it's a horrific insinuation break the teammates would
do this sort of thing. So yeah, obviously Tim watsons.
But Tim Watson on the way and he repeated what
he said in the article, it's not that's not what
it is. So it's got to take my place, Bade.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
The Bulldogs were in cruise control against the Broncos, leading
eighteen points to neil with twenty minutes on the clop,
but with their prize signing in the halves, things began
to unravel. This time the more conventional bomb on the last.
No one wants a bar of this coming through.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
Can't quite get a point to it, picked up by
kick out.

Speaker 6 (12:04):
Kick out is over maybe using he's running game.

Speaker 1 (12:08):
They giving you the Caro pony, Caro Coponi one at beautiful.

Speaker 4 (12:12):
Foot work, at you just saw a Carro copany.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
You' see Welterster Reynolds deep for me. Man gets.

Speaker 3 (12:21):
Still his hometown prism, get turned around, a short plan,
he's overlt wallet stars, I'm just prepping.

Speaker 1 (12:33):
Oh they're still cutting Man praying yes a chance and
the two stars.

Speaker 4 (12:41):
Praise count point deficit to tight the lay. This is
from a camel.

Speaker 7 (12:47):
I have come from the clowns to stun the Caterbury Bulldogs.

Speaker 1 (12:55):
That was a turning point thanks to actually In Martin
Medical Hair Centers and the Dogs low the team up
to accommodate for the other. That's a be extreme, but
that well it is an Sorry it is an extreme.

Speaker 4 (13:08):
Well you have to think about it.

Speaker 3 (13:10):
Ree Marney's gone from an eighty minute player to a
fifty minute player, then the weekend he went back to
an eighty minute player. Section's gone from half to hooker.
Bali Haywood's gone from starting to the bench. Matt Burton's
gone from five to eight to center. Montoy has changed
from one wing to the other wing.

Speaker 5 (13:30):
But that was Origin because our missing players for Origin.
That's that's not Gelvin related. That's Origin related, isn't it.
Well Burton played centers because Crichton wasn't available.

Speaker 4 (13:40):
Yeah, because because I was started to fit Galvin and
you know as well as I.

Speaker 1 (13:46):
Do Burton, you know, Yeah, but they moved in with
the centers and he's a five eight, yeahuse of origin.
You don't think they're putting him there to see I looked.

Speaker 6 (13:57):
I don't think so.

Speaker 5 (13:58):
No, really, well, we know he's a good we've seen
him playing since before, very good.

Speaker 1 (14:01):
Five eight and greatful. So you've moved him to a
comrade Galvin.

Speaker 6 (14:06):
And to be back there next week.

Speaker 1 (14:08):
We will be Now where will this week?

Speaker 4 (14:10):
I don't know. Both. That's what the problem.

Speaker 1 (14:14):
Gathered. To play Good on the weekend would have been
back to five definitely.

Speaker 6 (14:17):
Well, I believe you would have.

Speaker 1 (14:18):
Yeah, you believe you would have.

Speaker 6 (14:19):
Well, you believe you believe you wouldn't have.

Speaker 1 (14:21):
I believe they're testing it and if that had worked,
it's a fair chance. Galvin stays in the halves and
Burton quite and doesn't play.

Speaker 6 (14:27):
We chuck him out.

Speaker 1 (14:30):
Er. It's all clear, it's clear.

Speaker 6 (14:32):
That's do you.

Speaker 4 (14:34):
Know that class?

Speaker 6 (14:35):
That part I think is very clear is yes. Yes.

Speaker 1 (14:38):
What else is clear?

Speaker 6 (14:40):
That's all we've discussed so far, isn't it.

Speaker 4 (14:43):
We don't know.

Speaker 5 (14:43):
The other part a clear. I don't know whether it
be in the team next week. I don't know both.
Steve Crichton will be back in the team and.

Speaker 3 (14:50):
He will Confusion Canterbury right now about the future long
term of each of their players.

Speaker 4 (14:58):
We've got the behalf. We've got alright.

Speaker 6 (15:01):
Hold on confusion. We know what they're doing, what the
money doing, we know that.

Speaker 3 (15:05):
Just hold on real They were leading the competition up
until a week ago. Then they dismantled the football side.
They give the permission for the hooker to go and
they don't offer sex and anything. These two boys, two
of the four in the spine. What are you looking
like that because the top of the competitions has.

Speaker 6 (15:23):
Been a contract all year.

Speaker 5 (15:24):
They've made off too and all year was suddenly initie
in the last four weeks and I'll tell what else past.
You know what they've done the last nine weeks. Let's
go back nine weeks because Lochlan Gevin wasn't there nine
weeks ago. They've got spank boy Broncos.

Speaker 4 (15:36):
Spank boy.

Speaker 5 (15:37):
The Dolphins lost. They've won four four of their last nine,
four of the last.

Speaker 1 (15:46):
The Broncos was a one off loss. Right that a
bad note Dolphins months ago and then and the Dolphins
was exactly bad origin players and it was pissing the week.
It was a sim You can't honestly, like I've said,
I said that throughout the week, said on the weekend,
I love the Dogs. I want them to win the camp.
I want to win every week. But if you're telling me,

(16:08):
if you can sit here and keep a straight face
and tell me that there's been no disruption or interruption
to that team with Galvin going there, then can.

Speaker 5 (16:15):
I ask you two weeks ago that played Penrith, what
did we say that'd be that was a Grand Final worthy?

Speaker 1 (16:20):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (16:20):
Yeah, it was okay, well Galvin was there then, ye, then,
so that.

Speaker 1 (16:24):
It came on when the Bulldogs are winning exactly.

Speaker 6 (16:26):
But the why what happened They didn't have an origin player,
so that to shove this.

Speaker 1 (16:30):
By the way at all, not at all.

Speaker 5 (16:32):
At the weekend they had to make changes because players
were out, so they were always going to make changes
at the weekend. There was always going to be a reshuffle.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
Right, you had to move Burton? Did you did you
have to move Burton? Yeah? Well that matter they changed
to move Burton. Yes, lost the game drive ball in
the second they dropped the bory because I don't know,

(17:01):
but you see those a.

Speaker 6 (17:02):
Lot of them were Galvin.

Speaker 5 (17:03):
Some of them were Galvin related, yes, but they all weren't.
They completed fifty percent in the second half the eight.
No one had an issue with the changes. Eighty mil
up second half. They come out, made too many errors
and Ezra Man got the Broncos.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
Can I ask a Bulldogs fan question, do you reckon?
Everybody's happy with what's happening.

Speaker 6 (17:20):
As in plat we No? Probably not.

Speaker 5 (17:22):
Toby Sexons have to leave read Marney's leaving. No, I'd
say they wouldn't be happy.

Speaker 4 (17:26):
Do you think anyone else will be asked to leave.

Speaker 3 (17:27):
You know, they've got Big Thompson from Newcastle coming in
on eight hundred thousand dollars a year, which is double
the money, Max King so on, double the money, Preston,
so on.

Speaker 4 (17:37):
Who's going to be next to go? I don't know.

Speaker 6 (17:39):
I'm not on the recruitment committee.

Speaker 1 (17:41):
Do you think Gavin's has accelerated the Sexton and Money
lead to leave?

Speaker 3 (17:47):
No?

Speaker 6 (17:47):
I thought not.

Speaker 5 (17:48):
The Sexton won't, no, because I think he's always been
I mean Money.

Speaker 6 (17:55):
Read Money.

Speaker 5 (17:55):
His manager asked for permission the off season to explore
his options, so that was again always on the cards.
I mean, it's probably been happened to accelerate a little
bit because Galvin's right, but that's been on the cards
for a long time.

Speaker 4 (18:08):
Broth.

Speaker 6 (18:08):
We've talked about it previously on the.

Speaker 5 (18:10):
Show, that that Money and his management asked for permission
to explore their options because the Dogs weren't, because they went.

Speaker 1 (18:17):
To the Dogs to ask.

Speaker 5 (18:19):
Well, my understanding is Sam went to the Dogs to
ask about an extension, and the Dogs at that point
Gus must have said, we're not positioned to give an extension.
This was in the preseason so we asked the permission
to go to market.

Speaker 1 (18:30):
That was what before was on the what's happened? You
hear that money was on the nose before then?

Speaker 6 (18:36):
Or wen't he's on the nose now?

Speaker 4 (18:38):
Well, well he was, and I'm surprised he was on.

Speaker 6 (18:42):
The nose before then. Yes, it's not Galvin related.

Speaker 4 (18:44):
No, Look, I've spoken.

Speaker 3 (18:47):
To people at Canterbury who've been worried about his discipline
for quite some time and the fact he's for a
number of years he's been the most heavily penalized player
in the game.

Speaker 6 (18:56):
So that's not Galvin related. You just con and it's not.

Speaker 3 (19:01):
Well, well, I don't know if it's Galvin related yourself.
Well you asked the question, was he or break did?

Speaker 4 (19:09):
Was he on or was he off?

Speaker 1 (19:11):
Right?

Speaker 3 (19:12):
Was it Galvin related? Was it Thompson related? They have
to free up money in the cap. I think their
long term plan is to pay Bailey Heywood. I think
of this, that's what their plan is. Doesn't take away
from the point I'm trying to make, is you reckon?
You want to go back nine weeks two weeks ago
they were leading the competition.

Speaker 4 (19:31):
Now half of the spine that took them there have
been shown the door.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
True, we've been saying it for weeks, right and they
could find their feet here. But still right now everyone's
sitting here, and I'm sure they are I think for
the first time, Zero Serroaldo would have to be thinking,
oh what do I like? This is the toughest test
I believe, apart from the rebuild, is now they've got

(19:59):
there is what do I do? Now? What move do
I make? It's going to benefit our team And in
the process of this, unfortunately, which just will happen, is
other players are impacted and affected by you. You know
that they're going to be thinking about where their positions
in the team are or what their future lies. And
you know, have we gone backwards here? Do we have
a good enough team to win the compo? We're going
to get this right off? So's they've added a whole

(20:21):
lot of dimension they didn't need at this period of
the season. Do not agree with that.

Speaker 5 (20:26):
There's no doubt it's added another dimension and another dilemma
for Camracealdo.

Speaker 6 (20:32):
But there's time to work it out. There is not
themselves in a really good position.

Speaker 5 (20:37):
I think I said a week or two ago, I
think they just need to make a call and stick
with it, whether it's Sexton or Galvin.

Speaker 1 (20:45):
Maybe Galvin and reserve grade.

Speaker 6 (20:48):
No, I don't think you put him in reserve grade.

Speaker 3 (20:49):
Well, you know, there's some pretty good judges who were
suggesting that. I had Greg Alexander on the Super Saturday
talking about his performance and he said he can't find
a spot for Lachlan in the starting seminary and.

Speaker 4 (21:06):
On his performances and without one the quoted one.

Speaker 3 (21:09):
I think I heard you say yesterday Gordon on radio
that the Dogs bring them in when they brought him
in that would it have been wiser to wait until
the end of the season, let West Tigers continue to
pay him and then give him a full off season.

Speaker 5 (21:26):
And then that wasn't feasible because of what was going
on with the West Tigers. That just was not feasible.
If things were untenable there, it couldn't. It couldn't work
that way, Buzz.

Speaker 3 (21:35):
It's always been why was it untenable in the clubmates?

Speaker 6 (21:42):
A bullying back there? Yeah, well that's that's pretty untenable.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
And what was his social media posting was there?

Speaker 6 (21:53):
What was that about when he posted about talent? Yeah,
he's clubbing, amag or something.

Speaker 1 (21:59):
His kids very talent and he's going to be a
success story there. But I know one thing about the
Balldogs is every player's ever played, they had to earn
their jersey. You earn that right, and I feel like
it's just been headed to it a little bit too
easily and it has impacted other players there, and that's
something they to look at, I think, because.

Speaker 3 (22:14):
I cannot say one other thing. There's three other clubs
in the top four. It's the canber Raiders, there's Melbourne
Storm and then New Zealand Warriors. Are we talking about
them chopping changing half back out, porker out.

Speaker 5 (22:30):
But it's happening on the weekend. Yeah, Melbourne made a
lot of changes on the weekend. But no, no, no, no,
Pizzard played.

Speaker 6 (22:40):
No Dogs.

Speaker 4 (22:42):
You've lost.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
I can't even talk to you anymore, Number nine.

Speaker 4 (22:51):
That is not what I was talking about.

Speaker 3 (22:53):
I'm talking about next year, in the next three years.
You know, they signed Brailey from Newcastle, right, they didn't
want to move him.

Speaker 4 (23:00):
They'll slide him in in the off season.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
Just Milt.

Speaker 4 (23:03):
I just told you why he had to go.

Speaker 6 (23:05):
Now you know why he had to leave mid season?
You know it was untenable with the Tigers.

Speaker 1 (23:10):
But what I'm saying is, you know, let's move on
Buzzy Monday Buzzes. Yeah, you were pretty hard on Gus.

Speaker 4 (23:18):
Oh well, look all I did? Did I go hard
on him? I gave him a wrap? Actually, I said, no, I.

Speaker 1 (23:25):
Want to hear what I read it. I read it.

Speaker 3 (23:28):
I said that no one can build a Premiership team
like Phil Gould. I then said, but can he actually
deliver a title? And I pointed out that's been twenty
three years since two thousand and two when Richie Stewart
coached the Bruce and Gus said, since he had any silverware.

Speaker 4 (23:48):
That's all I pointed out.

Speaker 3 (23:50):
And it was all fact mind you, completely factual, completely factual.
And he did the same thing at Penrith exactly the same,
set him up, pathway, everything, brilliant, they could win a title.
He left, He bought him Jamie Soud and he punted
Jamie Soud. He brought him Marny Marty didn't see board
in Trent Marrit said he captain just got rid of him.

(24:10):
Did the same with Ivan. He was tied signed Griffin,
except all I did was point.

Speaker 4 (24:16):
Out the facts.

Speaker 3 (24:18):
He's the best set up man in the business to
build a thriving football club, but the fact of.

Speaker 4 (24:25):
The matter is he cannot go that extra step and
deliver it job.

Speaker 1 (24:32):
Absolutely questioning whether he can actually get there.

Speaker 3 (24:35):
I wrote this morning they have the best pathways in
the NRL, he's set them up and he doesn't have
the junior bases stockpiling juniors.

Speaker 1 (24:44):
Do you think you just overset the mark on this occasion?
Is that what you're saying?

Speaker 3 (24:48):
I think I think they've had this massive mid season
upheaval that they didn't need to have.

Speaker 4 (24:54):
That's all I'm saying. And there was a history of
this happening at his previous clubs.

Speaker 1 (24:58):
Really respond, you go off, you go? Is it true?

Speaker 4 (25:01):
Twenty three years?

Speaker 6 (25:05):
I feel like at times it's like super coach for him.

Speaker 5 (25:08):
You know, who's going out and trying to build the
perfect team at times and it involves some tinkering. And
they're a better team with Lockean galvinet in my opinion,
they're a better team now. Maybe we didn't see it
in the second half on Friday night, right, but I
think Lochland Galvin will eventually be a great signing for them,
and maybe it might be as as early as later

(25:28):
this year when the finals and Gavin's and number seven
Jersey and.

Speaker 6 (25:32):
Maybe they win a camp with him there.

Speaker 3 (25:33):
And I go back to my other point. Those other
three top four clubs are so settled and all they're
worried about this next nine weeks in the finals. There's
no upevil, there's no confusion, there's no players walking on
eggs shells.

Speaker 4 (25:46):
They're settled.

Speaker 5 (25:47):
I reckon, if you could say to the Warriors, there's
a heart, We've got a half pack for you, I reckon,
they probably take them right now, give.

Speaker 6 (25:54):
So they'll be happy to happiness.

Speaker 1 (26:01):
We're talking about the situation. The girls didn't need to
do it though, that's the whole thing. He obviously thought.

Speaker 6 (26:06):
Gus obviously thought they.

Speaker 1 (26:07):
Did really well. What do you reckon? What else would
and you didn't go it's a bit crazy, given I'm
coming first and second.

Speaker 6 (26:14):
I'm not going to turn around now and said it's crazy.

Speaker 5 (26:16):
But what I said for weeks it was a great
decision and their spine I've set it from the.

Speaker 1 (26:21):
Great he is a great decision, but the actual to
interrupt the team effective immediately.

Speaker 5 (26:28):
Because both I said at the start of the year,
if you remember you guys asked me to the docs
when the comp and I see the spines.

Speaker 6 (26:33):
Not good.

Speaker 2 (26:33):
Nothing really, there's better ways to do business. The Raiders
are letting go their number seven and they haven't dropped
anybody around. They're not chopping and changing. They're letting him
finish the year with a bit of respect and they're
still going on the way.

Speaker 3 (26:46):
And they planned for this by bringing the young fellow
what's the young fellow from paramaed and Sanders?

Speaker 4 (26:51):
This was planned.

Speaker 1 (26:52):
The Dogs got Mitch Woods there too, by the way,
they have yes
