Speaker 1 (00:00):
Veal General three sixty Rugby League from every angle, dreading
again the great Gordon tellers, Danane and Michael Carriyanas and
the Final Round showdown. Just one game remains with several
teams vying to secure their position in the top eight.
With a season it has been. What a final round?
We have every game live right here on Fox League
(00:23):
and the stage is set.
Speaker 2 (00:24):
Gordon, Absolutely, I think it's been the most entertaining season
that I've seen. You know, if the Titans are the
worst team in the comp We've caught a lot of
those games and the bottom side, the way they've played
a products fantastic. But it starts on Thursday night and
what's to do with.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
Gold case they are the worst team of the cop.
Speaker 4 (00:40):
But then you want to come on is the stand
of the footag doesn't start on.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
The bad football you.
Speaker 4 (00:50):
Just because you wore a Bulldogs suited.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
Lightly sitter friction. It's good, it's good, No, it's good.
Speaker 2 (00:57):
But you know what, I think it has been the
most exciting season and have the ten sides that are
still vying for the eight spots, and.
Speaker 5 (01:06):
I'm excited because like, who knows who's going to win
this competition? I think that's what excites me the most.
We've had Penrith the clear standoutside of the past couple
of seasons, but this Premiership race is wide open. I
think that's what excites me the most. Edited into the
next four or five weeks.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
Let's start again there.
Speaker 4 (01:23):
I love to start.
Speaker 1 (01:24):
I'd say it.
Speaker 4 (01:27):
Few won't hold me back.
Speaker 3 (01:29):
What's great about the latter is you've got some unpredictability.
We don't know what canber are going to be like
in the finals. I think they're going to be fantastic.
With the two home games. Cronulla could finish in the
top four. They've got a lot to prove. We're going
to see Penrith have to do it another way. The
Roosters could get hot if you get the Broncos if
they lose tomorrow night. Very big possibility because Melbourne have
(01:51):
it over them and they've got a pretty strong team.
I can't remember a top eight ever where we've had
three powerhouse to teams in that bottom four. Sometimes you
get one where any one of those three could get
hot and you wouldn't be shocked at all. And you're
going to get possibly a Broncos v Roosters in week one,
(02:11):
maybe a Broncos v. Penrith or at Penrith v.
Speaker 4 (02:15):
Broncos.
Speaker 3 (02:17):
Either way, we're going to have a knockout blockbuster in
round one with the qualifier, so.
Speaker 1 (02:22):
Much anticipation and so many scenarios that can play out
over this weekend. After a drama filled twenty four hours,
Michael maguire was surprisingly calm when he fronted the media
earlier today.
Speaker 6 (02:35):
It's obviously disappointing. I'm not going to go away from that,
that's yeah. But I've been on the journey with all
these players and now he's made a mistake. There's the
reasons why he's going through what he's going through. These
things are going on in clubs. We're just living by
the stands and the expectations of each other.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
And that's just part of the journey. Obviously, the challenge
ahead is actually great one for us now. It sharpens
you up games like this.
Speaker 6 (02:55):
How the boys from day one, when I first walked in,
talked about who we want to be and our culture
and the expectations, and that's basically what we're living by.
Appurcy WANs He's out there drun but absolutely flogged.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
Shibasaki was absolutely flogged. But are we surprised. I mean,
he turned up the training. I'm assuming under the influence
or he broke a rule there that was pretty important
to their team and their team's culture. He has been
stood down, Gordy, and today they thrashed him.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
Yeah, that's expected, the train a little bit harder. I
still don't know whether it's the right corp because sometimes
the more I think about it, you know, he's going
to let the team down even more. Sometimes it can
hurt the team maybe a fine maybe, you know, get
hung out all week, you know, do all the odd
jobs around, pick up the boots, clean the dress room.
There's there's other punishments that you can do where you
learn your lesson. But they've chosen for him not to
(03:50):
play in one of their biggest classes to try to finish.
Speaker 1 (03:53):
In the top four. I don't know why. But when
I when I heard that he Michael McGuire said he
got flogged today. The first head that just popped up
it was Buzzer Field, Buzzer's chattel. I just thought a
buzz straight away is you have been watching that game?
Speaker 3 (04:07):
I told you so, I told you so. Oh yeah,
I was going to come here and ask you too.
If this was a final, do you think he'd go
this hard? But then this is a final, to be honest,
this is the top four playoff, so they might be
playing for.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
This season tomorrow night. It's a mess.
Speaker 2 (04:23):
You don't know what's going on before and whether he's
got warning to look, that's the information that we don't have.
But yeah, it is a big game, and you know
that's what they've chosen it.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
It is concerning though that a player he's had a
spectaclar year, if this incident was going to happen, it's
at a pretty crucial time. I don't know football culture
like you do, but you know players need to blow
off some steam. But it's a strange time.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
He could have blow off some steam in Townsville the
night before, you know, Like I'm guessing after that win
up there, they probably had a few b up there
because it's renowned for it. So again, like going back
to what Gordy said that there probably are some other
reasons for it. But in terms of is it the
right decision now, I think it is. I think it's
(05:11):
a great stance, great leadership. Why not just Madge, but
the leadership group have how to say here? Which I love.
And you're going to set the standards in the culture
and they'll benefit from this in the finals and beyond.
But my question is now, will it hurt the team though?
Speaker 5 (05:27):
Well, of course, well he's turned into an Origin player
this year, so no doubt it hurts the team. And
you've got Dean Mariner defending that center. He's played a
lot on the wing this year, so and you're up
against the star star of Melbourne side, so there's no
doubt it hurts them. But back to your point, I
agree with standing him down. If you know, for the
last couple of seasons everyone's been critical of the culture
up in Brisbane. So if Michael Maguire all the senior
(05:49):
players turned the blind eye to this, what have they
learnt this year? So I think he had to make
that decision.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
You think they're risking a top four while leaving him,
Well they are.
Speaker 3 (05:57):
I mean, there's that question, but I'm not saying it's
the wrong decision that because you do it to have
to set a standard. It's easy to do it in
round ten when the game doesn't mean anything, but when
the game means everything to do it as well. You know,
different coaches have different mentalities. The great Jimmy Johnson from
the Dallas Cowboys. Once he was asked about Troy Aikman,
(06:19):
his quarterback, if he slipped in after he cut a
nobody on the spot for falling asleep in the meeting,
he said, if Troy Aikman fell asleep in the meeting,
I'd walk over and I'd put a pillow under his.
Speaker 1 (06:32):
Different coaches have different all right, Reese Welsh new profile pick.
Let's have a look at it and tell me if
it suits him or not. But here it is. I
love Reese the plumber.
Speaker 5 (06:46):
I don't know how long rece would last on the
actual tools, but maybe someone shoul get him in there
for some work experience.
Speaker 4 (06:52):
I'll tell you what, he'd get a lot of work.
Speaker 3 (06:56):
Plumber ring me today said you can't trust a newly
installed toilet as much as you think you can.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
I'll just leave that there. I've heard the same thing Dan.
A few plumbers have said to me that those new
toilets are often news by the people that put them in. Well,
I didn't want to go.
Speaker 5 (07:12):
Brian Fletcher's said it publicly right.
Speaker 2 (07:15):
He's a plumb is a really bad plumber too.
Speaker 4 (07:19):
He just did Washes.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
Broncos have suggested that he may need his own PR handler, Reese,
because because I mean, he's so popular, he's got a
huge following on YouTube, Instagram, your name and he's got
it and he's a rock star really of our game. And
are they saying that he just needs someone by his
side twenty four to seven so he doesn't do things
like this again or.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
Maybe look after his social media size so he's locked
out of it. So the post that he does do
maybe is that what we're looking at? Max Markson was
that in the looking at Yeah, someone like und He
said he's been in the business for fifty years, so
he and Buzz the same time.
Speaker 5 (07:59):
I think there is someone that works closely with him
on his image, I guess, But in terms of the
out and out I don't know who it is of
an out and out handler. I'm with Gord. He probably does.
He does. He has got to the stage of someone
to come out and go all right, if this is
what you're going to there's got to be someone safeguarding
(08:19):
what better friends.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
Around him because we've watched him, We've caught him on
a lot again and when he did Newcastle, he walked
around that whole stadium. Every time I've ever watched him
play with what he like, he does a big walk,
so he does do a lot for his image, but
then maybe just put the phone down when he's having
his private time.
Speaker 3 (08:38):
Yeah, people hiring social media managers to sort of run
their accounts, that's pretty normal. Certainly he's in the States
with the high profile players, because I'm guessing what happened
was he feels a pressure to put content out there, right,
and thought he'd just be funny.
Speaker 5 (08:54):
And you know, this wasn't a social media post him
by the way.
Speaker 4 (09:01):
When your sunraized photos every more, yeah, I do.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
Actually, I won't tell you who different persons, you know what.
He hasn't been impacted by this, but because he's straight
away put his profile pickups as a plumber, so he
obviously doesn't really care that much. Do you like? But like,
was it funny?
Speaker 4 (09:20):
Like?
Speaker 1 (09:20):
Did it?
Speaker 7 (09:21):
Like?
Speaker 1 (09:22):
Like?
Speaker 5 (09:22):
It wasn't funny, But it didn't hurt anyone.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
It didn't need it wasn't It didn't need a statement.
Speaker 3 (09:27):
Look fair flight of the broncos of putting a statement
out there.
Speaker 1 (09:30):
It didn't need a statement.
Speaker 5 (09:31):
That's funnier than the post, other than the hilarious.
Speaker 1 (09:35):
Great belly is well aware of what went wrong last
week and that's bad news for the broncost.
Speaker 8 (09:41):
Yeah, it was some poor defense, really lack of I
don't like something, but lack of efforts. So a few
things thin pointed and actually a little bit of job
tomorrow night. Our second half was poor to be quite on,
so we're looking.
Speaker 4 (09:58):
To improve that. I approve a little bit there.
Speaker 1 (10:02):
Melbourne Storm haven't lost back to back games since twenty
twenty three. Dan, you've done a little bit of digging today.
Can you talk it through this?
Speaker 4 (10:11):
Well?
Speaker 3 (10:12):
So the last time, you know who was the last team?
I think the proud the Mighty Titans Gordon who for
a period have had the wood over Melbourne. But eighteen
times in a row this is I would say the
equal of, if not better than their Round one record.
There's a kind of fluking not flukiness, but there's a
randomness to around one record, even though they're very proud
(10:34):
of it. But every time they lose eighteen times in
a row, they've come back.
Speaker 1 (10:39):
This year.
Speaker 3 (10:41):
They beat lost the Dragons beat Manly forty eight twenty four,
then they were flogged by the Dolphins. They came out
burnt South on the Enzach Day lost the Classic to
Canberra in Magic Ground, burnt up the West Tiger sixty
four nil lost to Cronulla beat Gold Coast.
Speaker 1 (10:58):
That was pretty close. I can keep going that every
time we've had enough we understand. Yeah, and this is
a concern for the Broncos. And another concern is is
that not only was it Craig six hundredths last week,
they get Jerome Hughes back this week, who no one
(11:21):
really thought would come back this early. Everyone was assuming
he'd come back for the finals, arguably the best. Well,
he got the Dally M last year, so we know
how good he is. Makes it even harder for the Broncos.
Speaker 5 (11:31):
What you can't measure is what you just said there
break the embarrassment of that performance in Craig six hundredths.
You could listen to Craig there. It's still hurting him
and that's going to sit with him for a while.
And to be those players sitting in that dress room
knowing that you embarrassed Craig let him down. That's got
a stink.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
Thank god that Brent Read is in the box this
weekend too. Okay, so Craig, we're very happy about that now.
Cadie walker Sign's extension for next season. Was this the
right move for the Bunnies? Yes, but it's risky.
Speaker 3 (11:57):
One year, but he's now at an age where he
is breaking down and that's understandable soft tissue injuries. But
what else were they going to do? Way Bennett said
this a month ago, he said, well, it's a risk,
but it's a risk we have to take.
Speaker 1 (12:10):
Hard to argue.
Speaker 5 (12:11):
Yeah, the way he's come back over the last three games,
all beat off the interchange bench. He's added a completely
different dimension to their attack, and up until this year
he's had a pretty good run with injuries, playing twenty
plus games in most years. So we'll give him a
leaf pass for this year. The fact that it's a
twelvemonth deal I think works. And just how seriously how
good he's come back the last three games for South
(12:31):
shows that he's still got that elite ball playing ability.
Speaker 1 (12:34):
He's gone great and I believe it's the right call
from sous. You say it's a risk though, well, just.
Speaker 3 (12:40):
In the fact that he can be now injury prone,
but I don't think they had any other choice.
Speaker 1 (12:45):
Why, Well, then I'm just asking him. I'm not disagreeing.
I'm asking, well, he at his.
Speaker 3 (12:51):
Best obviously is still one of the elite cliff line styles,
five eighths in the competition. But the risk I'm talking
about is if he's now at that point where he's
no certainty to play games. And again, this might just
be a fluke year where he just picked up injuries
at the bad time, at bad times, Latrell only played
(13:12):
an handful of games. Again, he only played you know,
he's only played fourteen games a year since joining SOUS.
So that's the risk I'm talking about breath players. You
don't want too many of these players that you can't
necessarily depend on to get twenty one twenty two games.
But at the same time, of course, the class is obvious.
Speaker 1 (13:30):
The class, the influence he has on that team, and
even since coming back, like you said, Mickey, it's been
a stand. Now SOUSE is set to table David Fafeeda
a two year deal. This has been in the works
now for a while. It's no surprise to any of us.
Do we think this is the right call and ken
Wae and get the best out of him, I hope.
Speaker 4 (13:48):
So.
Speaker 2 (13:48):
I think Dave Feeder is the closest to Dave Taylor.
They're just the most natural footballers that you've seen superstars
as kids when it comes to playing adults, and you've
got to work a bit harder on your game for
some reason.
Speaker 4 (14:01):
Dave.
Speaker 2 (14:02):
Dave's had glimpses and but I don't think he's put
ten or twelve really solid games together. So hopefully Wayne
can get the best out of him. But he has
had Dave talent, and he's had Shushta this year as
well to try to get that.
Speaker 1 (14:15):
They do need a bit of X factor too, don't.
Speaker 4 (14:17):
They got it.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
He's got the power and he's got the X factor,
He's got everything anything.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
And then I've said it before, I was saving it
if Dave wants to do it Dave, and it doesn't
come down to Wayne.
Speaker 4 (14:28):
It comes down to Dave.
Speaker 5 (14:29):
Well, we saw that, you know, the Roosters and the
Panthers go all in for Dave for feeder not that
long ago, right, But when you look at and you
sit down and you look at what South City you need,
you say X factor break I say they need some
force in the middle of the field, that punch in
the middle of the field. Dave won't bring that, right.
So when I'm looking at the player or the style
of player that they need. No doubt that he will
be a handy addition to him, but he doesn't.
Speaker 1 (14:50):
You think he could possibly bring that if Wayne coaches
him at in the middle. Not sure? This is my Yeah,
you know, I'm assuming he's probably playing on an edge, right.
Speaker 4 (15:00):
Doesn't have the motive they're playing in the middle.
Speaker 5 (15:01):
Yeah, So I think what they're lacking, and they have
been lacking. Really, she's Sam Burgess left the club is
a genuine middle and well, their.
Speaker 3 (15:08):
Best is the problem.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
Their best proper is the second round. Kal Mtangi who I.
Speaker 5 (15:13):
Think he's proven his middle, Well, he's.
Speaker 3 (15:14):
Spectacular in that role, but he's a natural second round.
Speaker 1 (15:18):
That's that's the dearth that they have. What about their rosters?
So do you think it's a little bit.
Speaker 5 (15:22):
In balanced, Well, it's just he's touched on before. You
know who what they could have done if Cody Walker left?
Speaker 4 (15:28):
Right?
Speaker 5 (15:28):
Well, they signed Jack Whiten to replace Cody Walker eventually, right,
so he arrived on big money as a starting center,
but with the idea that he was going to shift
into the halves long term. And you look, obviously they've
been crueled by injuries. But I go back to what
I just said around the fact that who's that dominant
presence in the middle of the field. Kem Murray obviously
(15:49):
adds skill and finesse and that quick player of the
ball and that ball movement in the middle of the field,
but you've got key on who's probably their best middle
at the moment. But they need someone who's going to
drag that team forward, and I just don't think there's
anyone there at the moment.
Speaker 3 (16:04):
I don't read they've allowed David Mowell lead to explore
his options. That's he's only twenty two and.
Speaker 1 (16:11):
He just hasn't come on, has he the way they
were hoping.
Speaker 5 (16:13):
He's still young. Of course, he's still young, and he's
about to get into that sweet zone of well, he's
probably two or three years away, Gordy from that sweet
zone of where a proper will be. But he's already
played fifty plus games at that age, so it's not
a position where they can let likes go. Tabeta Titolo's
has been injury play. He was going to be one
of the best props in the game, but hasn't been
able to replicate that form either.
Speaker 3 (16:34):
What do you make of Mademozellos. It's like Wayne's not
sure with him. From what I see. He had an
elbow injury picked up in Magic Round, but then came
back two three months ago. Now he doesn't get much
game time, if any. Yeah, it's an interesting one.
Speaker 1 (16:49):
It is an interesting one. You know, they've got Humphreezer
can move the nine. They bought him originally for a
nine or fourteen, right, and he's had to play in
the halves obviously Brandon Smith going there. What they do
even with Latrell, I mean, that's where I want to
get to. Now, Latrell, do they play in the centers?
Do they play them at fullback? You spoke about? You know,
(17:11):
these are his stats in terms of longevity in the
games he's played over these seasons. Four seasons at the Roosters,
ninety six games, twenty four games a season, sixty five tries,
seven finals appearances. In his six seasons at the Bunnies,
he's played less games overall, and he's average is fourteen
(17:33):
games a year, only played the three finals appearances therefore
the Bunnies. But when he has played, he's been unbelievable. Right,
we know that even this year when he did play,
he was great, but would it be better for them
to move him in terms of longevity into the centers,
especially when you've got Joe Gray there.
Speaker 5 (17:50):
Well, for mine, it's not just longevity, it's the fact
of the emergence of Ji Gray. Ji Gray has to
be in that team week in week out. He is
a different fullback to Latrell. Running, you know, two fifty
three hundred meters, is popping up and support. He's doing
all these things I think for the best thirteen for
South Sydney. Dry Gray's in that now. So the question
is do you play Latrell at center? Do you play
(18:11):
them at five?
Speaker 1 (18:12):
Eight?
Speaker 5 (18:12):
Actually wouldn't mind him in the six?
Speaker 1 (18:14):
And who plays seven?
Speaker 4 (18:15):
Cody?
Speaker 1 (18:15):
Cody? And then you put Humphreys at n Ian Brandon
Smith off the bench something like that.
Speaker 5 (18:19):
Well you've got Mamozell's there or you work out with
the bench about.
Speaker 1 (18:23):
He's probably looking like he's not quite where they want
him to be.
Speaker 3 (18:26):
Garlic's coming as well, so he as well.
Speaker 5 (18:29):
Yeah, and Jaden Sullivan has just resigned for two years as.
Speaker 1 (18:32):
Well as well.
Speaker 5 (18:33):
They's resigned him, resigned him yet, so he's supposed to
go back to the West Tigers, but he's resigned for
the next.
Speaker 1 (18:38):
Center has gone half from the Dragon as well. The
books still there too.
Speaker 3 (18:46):
Center has a connotation of non important or least important player,
but the way Latrell has played it this year, he's
had a tremendous influence. He's almost one. In fact, he
has one games for South Sydney basically on his own
playing in that center role. He and Tom Traboivitch are
almost not centers. When they play centers, they have to
(19:07):
use the old term rova.
Speaker 2 (19:08):
They can have an impact, like against the Times he
come up with eighteen points, so he saved the Troy
against Jayden Campbell and set up too, so he can
have an impact no matter where he plays in the game.
Why do you think when he's fullback the kilometers that
he does without the ball in hand?
Speaker 4 (19:21):
You know, you probably try.
Speaker 3 (19:22):
To kick Ji Graves fullback seven and seven this year.
He's spent so it's almost irresistible.
Speaker 1 (19:28):
But you can't keep him on the bench any longer,
can you?
Speaker 5 (19:31):
Or I was pretty much in the campus Latrone needs
to play fullback. But the fact that he's not playing
twenty plus games, hasn't played twenty plus games a year
for South Sydney and Jy Graves form means something's got
to give them.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
The South City rabbit Os and the Roosters, they absolutely
hate each other and it's a great opportunity for the
Bunnies to just spoil the Rooster's party this week on
Friday Night on Fox League. But the Brendan Smith drama.
Does that add fuel of the fire? Does that a
little bit more fuel of the fire that's already burning,
(20:04):
put a tip over the edge, you'd hope.
Speaker 3 (20:06):
So come on, if you're not telling me, there's not
a single person that wants to wouldn't love a Rapeter.
Speaker 4 (20:13):
Sin Bin Sunday.
Speaker 1 (20:15):
The thing about this.
Speaker 3 (20:15):
Game, you look at a lineup for lineup Roosters and
Miles Better.
Speaker 4 (20:20):
Right.
Speaker 3 (20:21):
But this game here right triggered the next game where
they all went after Jy Arrow.
Speaker 4 (20:29):
Jy Arrow.
Speaker 3 (20:30):
I think it was joy Row knocked out James de Desco, right,
he might have been one of the sixteen eighteen to
twenty players sent off in that game. Right, And the
next time they played, the Roosters lost their heads because
they all they were more interested in bashing up Jy
Arrow than they were winning the game. And if they
(20:50):
take that attitude here.
Speaker 1 (20:51):
This is where they've got to be careful here. If
they go if their goal is.
Speaker 3 (20:54):
To rub it in the face of Brandon Smith, it's
the only way I can see them not winning.
Speaker 2 (21:00):
You've got to match their intensity because South's are going
to come out intense, so you've got to go with them, Dan,
I know it. Sometimes accidents happen because you've got to
go really hard into the collision. You think that's what
South are going to try to do, right, They're not
going to try to beat them with finare so if
you don't match match it.
Speaker 4 (21:15):
That's why amongs. These games are so enjoyable to watch.
Speaker 1 (21:19):
And you have nothing to lose, and the have on
everything to lose, nothing to lose and arguably the best
team they put on the paddick all year. Yeah, with
Cam Murray, Bark Brenn and Smith's back, you've got ja
no troll hurts right of course, and they're still missing
a few other players, right, but you know it's probably
their strongest side that they put out a year.
Speaker 2 (21:39):
The close thing I say is when I was at
South I went to a presentation night and we didn't
make the finals. They read out their score when they
beat the roosters, they just read it out every twenty
minutes and the crowd went up. The thousand went up
at the Red and Green ball, it went up like
twenty times. So no matter what happens in the year,
they just read out the rooster of score. So they're
up for it.
Speaker 1 (21:58):
All right. I want a prediction from each of you.
How many symbins if any. We're not willing to go there,
you said, I.
Speaker 3 (22:09):
Think it's too important to the rue.
Speaker 2 (22:12):
Okay, I think for this game there should be a
button you can throw in a world card and have
no no bunker and if both clubs throw it in
like no bunker, so they can just go for it.
You would have done that every game though, No, but yeah,
but you only get one a year, just like the captains.
Speaker 1 (22:31):
Like a w W qualification Get out Joe free card
from Gordy. Right there, did you go?
Speaker 4 (22:37):
Simbons?
Speaker 1 (22:38):
That was a good boy. Please got punch in their
head and he got SimBin. Well, there's no news on penalty.
He got the penalty, news on DC's rooster's move. When
it comes to mainly, it's time to say goodbye, all right.
It would be the same as last time.
Speaker 7 (22:58):
Fellas, no chat about the future. I know you might
want to ask, but I won't want to ignore him,
but I probably won't answer it. So don't make those
decisions lightly and so sort of find it best in
years gone by to not.
Speaker 5 (23:11):
Make that decision during the season.
Speaker 4 (23:16):
Disrespect.
Speaker 1 (23:17):
We should not talk about in the future. I'm going
to well, let's to believe everything out there. There's a
verb of contract with Can you set the records straight?
Speaker 4 (23:27):
There's nothing on the table.
Speaker 3 (23:28):
What can you say about the speculations.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
I'm going to say, thank you for your time.
Speaker 5 (23:32):
Then I'll see this all later.
Speaker 1 (23:33):
Thanks, very emotional. There time to say goodbye. DC bids
a farewell to Manly with his final game at Brookie.
Final game at Brookie. But when's he put the rooster's parlor? One?
Is it after this game? Or when's the press conference?
When's the announcement? Tell me after.
Speaker 4 (23:58):
My contract? But I'll go on to eelevision and say that.
Speaker 1 (24:04):
The saga is nearly over.
Speaker 5 (24:06):
Yeah, they're almost there, really there. But you know, mainly
fans have been pretty respectful to DC, haven't they, considering, well,
this could have got ugly for him, right, But the
way he's been received a brook year with the fans
and when you know, at his three fiftieth the other
week and things like that, so they've treated him with
respect and it could have gone either way this.
Speaker 1 (24:25):
Interestingly Joey well sorry Dan, he makes his debut this week.
Highly tauted Junior.
Speaker 3 (24:31):
I believe the plane could be could played the second
half with d C, so that's going to be interesting
if if that comes to fruition. It's a fascinating game
with the Warriors because the Warriors have something to play for,
but obviously men.
Speaker 4 (24:49):
Yeah yeah, team seven.
Speaker 1 (24:52):
But the Warriors may not have something to play for. No,
that's true, depending on the results before the Brisbane win,
They've got nothing that playful. They're going to be in
home in a knock out and I just I think
mainly at home again d c's final farewell.
Speaker 3 (25:05):
You don't back against Manly this week, Yeah, you don't
