So, it’s decided that Little Pig Robinson must go in their place—tasked with selling their wares and picking up important household supplies. Unaware that his quiet errand will soon lead him far beyond the village, Little Pig cheerfully accepts the job.
This chapter is filled with Beatrix Potter’s dry wit, detailed domestic charm, and the gentle beginnings of an unexpected adventure. It’s the perfect setup for what’s soon to become a grand and faraway tale.
