Throughout the Bible, God uses nations and rulers for His purposes. He calls them His servants, His staff, and similar descriptions. Romans 13 says the ruling authorities are placed in their positions by God and carry out His purposes. These things are covered as we continue to dig into the relationship between the Christian and the state, God and governments, and the theology of obedience.
