Este domingo, Vlodimir Zelensky, decidiu demitir o ministro da Defesa ucraniano, Oleksii Reznikov, e substituí-lo por Rustem Umerov, líder proeminente da comunidade tártara da Crimeia.
A posição de Reznikov, um advogado de 56 anos nomeado ministro pouco tempo antes do início da invasão, fragilizou-se nos últimos tempos. O governante foi acusado de estar envolvido num esquema de corrupção no Ministério da Defesa, relacionado com a aquisição de bens alimentares e equipamentos para as Forças Armadas a preços acima do valor de mercado.
Mas numa altura em que são notícia alegados avanços das tropas ucranianas na linha de defesa russa mais a sul, que sinal é que Zelensky quer enviar, tanto à União Europeia como ao povo ucraniano?
E o que evoluções podemos esperar deste conflito que parece continuar a não ter um fim à vista?
