Terapeuter är vår tids nya prästerskap. De finns överallt - i mottagningsrummen, morgonsofforna, TV-serierna och på sociala medier. Och inte nog med det - vi har också blivit experter på att agera terapeuter åt varandra.
Vi öser dessutom höga summor av både skattepengar och våra egna inkomster in i terapibranschen. Allt i hopp om att uppnå maximal psykisk hälsa.
Men det psykiska välmåendet verkar inte ha ökat i takt med att vi börjat fokusera allt mer på vårt inre. Tvärtom faktiskt. Hur kommer det sig egentligen? Och vilka blir konsekvenserna av en växande, oreglerad terapimarknad där vem som helst får kalla sig terapeut?
