Det här är berättelsen om en opolerad vansinneskvartett som revolutionerade funkrocken och som inte drog sig för att dra ner brallorna på scen.

Svetten rinner längs Anthony Kiedis rygg när han kliver av scenen. Det är en söndag i juli 1983 och strippklubben Kit Kat Club i Los Angeles har nyligen börjat arrangera rockkonserter, men den här spelningen gick inte som Red hot chili Peppers hade tänkt sig.
Det nya bandet har redan gjort sig kända för att vara riktigt bra live men ikväll var det som att publiken knappt såg dem, än mindre brydde sig om musiken. De verkade bara ha ögon för stripporna som dansade på scenen.
Backstage får den adrenalinstinne sångaren en idé. Han tänker inte nöja sig med en halvdan spelning. Ivrigt övertalar han de andra i bandet om att de ska göra ett extranummer som publiken inte kommer att kunna strunta i.
När Red Hot Chili Peppers kliver ut på scenen igen är reaktionen en helt annan. Killarna är helt nakna, sånär som varsin strumpa på kuken.

The Brothers Ortiz is the story of two brothers–both successful, but in very different ways.
