På ett hotell i Paris sitter Aftonbladets reporter Markus Larsson. Han torkar av sina svettiga handflator på byxorna och kollar igenom frågorna en sista gång.
Det är november 2010 och Markus Larsson väntar på Keith Richards. Den mytomspunne gitarristen i The Rolling Stones - ett av världens mest stilbildande rockband.
Han borde vara exalterad inför intervjun men faktum är att han bara vill dra därifrån.
– Jag var jävligt nervös. Hur ska han reagera? För själva poängen med intervjun är ju bara att jag ska avslöja mig som the man from Gothenburg, mannen som han ska knäcka benen på.
Tre år har gått sen Markus Larsson gav det legendariska rockbandet en dålig recension. Sedan dess har Keith Richards i intervju efter intervju berättat hur jävla arg han är på Markus, eller The man from Gothenburg som han kallar honom.
Trots det sitter Markus nu här och svettas. Tanken med mötet är att han till sist ska ge sig tillkänna. Förhoppningen; en oförglömlig story.
Dörren slås upp och in stövlar Keith Richards med ett glas bourbon i näven och ciggen i den andra.
– It's you?
– Yes, it's me.
– It is you!? You've written som crap about me. Let's turn the lights out!
– Det är sån jävla vrede rummet, och jag vet inte vad jag ska göra. Det enda jag tänker är: slå inte sönder min bandspelare, för ingen kommer tro mig om jag inte har det på band.
