The contestants arrived for the 73rd Miss Universe competition and in just two days after arrivals, we are learning that Panama will not be competition anymore.

As we are coming on the air, this information was less than 30 minutes out and is very early preliminary information. However both the official Miss Universe and Miss Universe Panama Instagram pages confirmed in the same vague press release that Miss...

Sheynnis Palacios of Diriamba is the current Miss Nicaragua. She was crowned on August 5, 2023 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel and Convention Center Managua in Managua, Nicaragua. 

On November 18, 2023, Palacios was crowned Miss Universe 2023 in El Salvador. 

This was the first time Nicaragua won the competition and the first time the country made it into the Top 5 finalists.

Congratulations! Despite the controversy surrounding her national win, R'Bonney went out there tonight and truly did what she needed to do. There's no doubt that she killed her performance and won Miss Universe. Was I still pulling for a Puerto Rico win? Yes and I'm sad she was left out of the Top 5. This is a prime example of what's for you will not be taken away.
