Speaker 1 (00:11):
How's it going guys, Thanks for tuning into this episode
of the film talk sports podcast PWR Ascension is right
around the corner, only two days away on June twenty
eighth at Obi's Barn Lounge, and here to talk to
me about that show and what else is going on
in his wrestling career, making his return to the show
the entitled Millennium Millennial forestnisteen. What's going on, man? How

(00:32):
are you?

Speaker 2 (00:33):
It's going good? I think Hereka hoops with array about
the Millennium thing, like I really think he's like paying
people to mess up my name at his point. But
it's great to be back. Part two Electric Boogaloo. You know,
just in a part two over there the Brew Crew
guys as you know, and you know they are firing
now a true fan of the entitled Millennial and letting
me do some guest spots. But you, my friend, are

(00:54):
the true friend of the entitled Millennial. Always happen.

Speaker 1 (00:57):
You're doing a bit of a media tour. You're back
on opinions, the Brew Crew as I like to call them,
So it's good to have you back on this one.
And you know they did your right this time. I
heard they ordered catering and everything for you. So everything
worked out.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
They did. My order wasn't right, but it's all right,
you know, sometimes things happen. Well, maybe next time I
just order my own catering and just make and just
make them pay me back for it.

Speaker 1 (01:19):
There you go, and guys, just if I can give
you a little bit of advice, you guys are doing
great over there. When you have your guests virtually, you
don't have to pay for catering, so that one's for free.
That works out.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Wait, wait, hey, hang on, hang on, is that why
you do this virtually with me?

Speaker 1 (01:32):
No, it's just because the way my office is set
up now. I haven't had an end guest in person
guest in a long time. Probably a movie review with
like a buddy that lives up the street, but other
than that, it's been a long time. All right, all right,
we'll have to change that though. Maybe we'll do an
on location after a show one of these days.

Speaker 2 (01:47):
That would be neat Maybe maybe or we can do
it live, that.

Speaker 1 (01:50):
Would be that would be pretty cool too. Maybe do
something like that. I always liked the old like. I
don't know if a big like inspiration for this show
is when Colt Cabana used to do the art of
wrestling and he would be at shows and he would
do maybe like five to seven minutes with each wrestler
and they would just one guy would get up, another
guy would sit down. I definitely want to do something
like that at a PWR show in the future.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
Yeah, I love I love the herd of wrestling with
with Pocobaric. It was great because, like he said, like
he would interview like different guys and it was like,
you know, like he can ask you can sometimes you
got like maybe like five or six different answers, you know,
but sometimes you give him a hed a thought provoking
question and then you only got to hear from one
guy for five minutes.

Speaker 1 (02:28):
Yeah, I mean if art of wrestling never existed, this
show never exists. Like that is one percent. I am
one of the bigger coc Obana fans out there. I
know he gets a lot of flak these days with
crap would se him punk and everything. But always always
a huge fan of that guy. And the best thing too,
like you know, if a show came out with RVD
on it or TAZ or somebody, everybody wants to watch
that one. But you might watch Like I remember back then,

(02:50):
like Paul London was on, and like indie wrestling wasn't
as easy to find, so I didn't know a lot
about Paul London, but I watched that show, and I'm like,
Paul London's freaking awesome. At least he was back then.
And you know, so even if you didn't know a
lot about the guy being interviewed, you wanted to watch
the show. So I thought that was yeah in the day.

Speaker 2 (03:06):
Yeah, that's how I learned. I learned a lot of
guys to like that show. You know, Like you said, like,
I don't think it was any restling wasn't as pomp.
It was just the Internet wasn't as big then. I
mean it was big then, but it wasn't like not
like it was now. Or you can just you know
somebody you don't know, you can go and google them
and the next thing you know, you go here on
YouTube watching forty that you've already watched forty different matches
with this guy pad and you're like, oh, okay, great, now

(03:27):
I'm a fan of this guy. But yeah, it really
introduced you to a lot of people that you might
not have heard of or you only heard of like
a couple of times and made you want to like
look into them and try to find out where you
can see them or to go, you know, go watch them.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Yeah, you knew the people, and there might be a
match or two that was heavily like shared, but it
was hard to just find matches. And now you can
pretty much find the full match catalog of anybody these days.
So it's like, oh, you have a pretty good with
stuff like that.

Speaker 2 (03:52):
Thanks Al Gore for doing that for us.

Speaker 1 (03:55):
All right, so you've been pretty busy. We got PWR
this weekend. But you just got back from a trip
all the way up in Tennessee at Resolute Pro. You
came back, or you would have came back with the championship.
You left it there, but it wasn't the type of
belt that most people want to win. It's actually called
the losers Championship. I have to bring this up. I'm
really not trying to do.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
I can get it. I get it. I get it.
The great investigator investigating journalists you are, you have to
you have to ask, you know what I mean, Like
we gotta I gotta deal with the tough ways. I
don't get the little softball. You don't meet all questions.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
You know, this is I'm a fan of softball, but
I don't throw them here. That's oh yeah, say that much.
But so yeah for seors Man, Resolute Pro, the loser Chimp.
How was that weekend? Just give us the give us
first thing.

Speaker 2 (04:37):
Great weekend, great weekend in Tennessee. Those those folks up there,
they love themselves in wrestling and Resolute Pro out of Crossfild, Tennessee. Like,
can't say enough about the fans, the boys in the back,
and I can't say enough about them, Like how much
of an awesome show it was from the start to
the end. You know, everything was great, Everything ran, you know,
and yeah, unfortunately I came back the losers champion, you know,

(05:00):
I took I won that title from uh by losing
to Caleb Crazes was down. You know. You guys you
might've heard of, you know, by the scene of when
he was at PWR back in March, if I'm right,
But yeah, it was an absolute barn burner. I brought
everything I could, but he finished. He got me into
that skills driver and you know it was the end

(05:21):
and that's the one two three, and I came home
with it. Well, I didn't come home with it. I
became the champion. I left it back in that dump
of an armory that they they ran that.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
Show out of a couple follow up questions here. Now,
let me just for the people listening, the Losers Championship
is exactly what it sounds like. Whoever has that belt,
if you lose to them, you are now the Losers Champion.
You will have that belt Untee you win a match
in Resolute Pro. So that's kind of the situation there.
You left the belt there, you know, we put we
saw the video online. Do you plan to go back?

(05:52):
And I don't know if defend is the right word,
but to properly no longer have that belt? You planned
to return to Resolute Pro?

Speaker 2 (06:00):
Yeah, you are correct, it is. Actually it's not just Resolutes.
There's another promotion. SSW is the other one that they
they're in cahoots with with it like as a combination
title between the two. And yeah, you have to lose
to win the championship. But August first in Crossfield, Tennessee. Uh,
the entitle millennials coming back. I'm gonna go and try.

(06:20):
I don't I don't think defend is the right word there.
But you know, I'm gonna go and try to make
sure I don't stay being the loser champion because I'm
not a loser. But I still have more championships than
a couple other people around here.

Speaker 1 (06:36):
So you mentioned you obtained, we won't say one that
you obtained that championship facing Caleb Courageous. Caleb had a
great match here in PWR a few months ago with
Jeff Jeger who's part of Unnatural Causes now one half
of the PWR Tag Team champions. So that's how we
know him down here in Florida. But I know he's
been around a few times. You guys have been up
and down the road together. You guys are good friends.
How is it to get in the ring with him

(06:56):
one more time?

Speaker 2 (06:58):
It was absolutely amazing, Like I said, main event anywhere
in America, barn Burner, We tore it down, you know,
and you know, yeah, we travel with each other a
little bit and know each other for a long time,
but we've never actually, it was funny like we've never
faced each other in the ring. And he won't admit
that he that he had a hand in that he
was just ducking me for fifteen plus years. You know,

(07:19):
like who knows, But I mean he finally maybe he
just didn't have the time or he knew it was
going to be, you know, was
