Bio

Dr. Matthew Facciani is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Notre Dame, working in the computer science and engineering department. He holds a PhD in sociology from the University of South Carolina and has held previous positions as a lecturer at Vanderbilt University. His research focuses on media literacy, political polarization, misinformation, and social networks. Dr. Facciani's forthcoming book, Misguided: Where Misinformation Starts, How It Spreads, and What to Do About It, will be published by Columbia University Press.
