In this episode we explore the career of Molly Shannon to get a better understanding of how this movie and it’s protagonist is in many ways a pseudo-autobiographical story of Molly Shannon herself. Unlike many of the movies we discuss on this podcast, we really enjoyed this sweet, weird, laugh-out-loud comedy.

The Brothers Ortiz is the story of two brothers–both successful, but in very different ways. Gabe Ortiz becomes a third-highest ranking officer in all of Texas while his younger brother Larry climbs the ranks in Puro Tango Blast, a notorious Texas Prison gang.
