O Brasil está no centro das atenções quando o assunto é cibercrime. Em entrevista ao Podcast Canaltech, gravada no escritório do Google Cloud em São Paulo, Sandra Joyce, vice-presidente global de Inteligência de Ameaças do Google, explicou por que o país se tornou um dos principais alvos de ataques digitais.
Segundo Sandra, os golpes mais comuns hoje envolvem ransomware, extorsão contra hospitais, roubo de credenciais e fraudes financeiras ligadas a bancos e criptomoedas. Ela também destacou como a inteligência artificial está sendo usada tanto por criminosos na criação de deepfakes e códigos maliciosos, quanto na defesa, acelerando a detecção de ameaças.
Outro ponto que chamou atenção foi a participação da Coreia do Norte nesse cenário. De acordo com a executiva, grupos já roubaram bilhões em criptomoedas, usam trabalhadores de TI infiltrados em empresas estrangeiras e chegam a extorquir empregadores no Brasil.
“Esses ataques são sofisticados, muito bem financiados e resilientes. Quando um grupo é fechado, ele simplesmente muda de nome e volta a atuar”, explicou.
