Rafael Silva és graduat en Filosofia i Lletres a la Universitat de Girona, màster en Etnografia i Antropologia a la Universitat de Barcelona i doctorand en Antropologia a la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. També és voluntari de l'institut Romanò, on desenvolupa una formació en història i cultura del poble gitano dirigida al personal docent interessat en millorar les competències interculturals.
Amb motiu del Dia Internacional del Poble Gitano, conversem amb Rafael sobre història, gitanitat, expropiació cultural i fracàs escolar, l'any que es celebra el sisè centenari de l'arribada del poble romaní a la Península Ibèrica.
