“I was angry because CNN told me to be angry.” This is how Amir Odom—a young Black man—described his experience as a BLM supporter.
This is by far one of the most controversial episodes I’ve recorded to date, and also one of my favorite conversations. Join me and Amir Odom for a discussion that pushes the boundaries on the current narratives being shared in our world today.
In this episode, you’ll learn why the term ‘privilege’ is greatly misused and needs to be stopped, the reasons why Amir believes that BLM is spreading a disempowering narrative for the Black community, why distributing reparations is not the answer, what it really takes to change the narrative for the Black community, and why individuals must take responsibility for the choices that they make.
At age 25, Amir Odom is destined to make an impact on this planet. After navigating a series of challenges in his life, he has adopted the mindset that you can either be a victim of your past, or a victor of your future — and, at some point, you have to move forward and accept that you are the present of the past. He believes that everyone has the capability to become the best version of themselves. With a passion for self-development, new perspectives and essentialism, he helps his clients create the lives they wish to live in.

Are You A Charlotte?
In 1997, actress Kristin Davis’ life was forever changed when she took on the role of Charlotte York in Sex and the City. As we watched Carrie, Samantha, Miranda and Charlotte navigate relationships in NYC, the show helped push once unacceptable conversation topics out of the shadows and altered the narrative around women and sex. We all saw ourselves in them as they searched for fulfillment in life, sex and friendships. Now, Kristin Davis wants to connect with you, the fans, and share untold stories and all the behind the scenes. Together, with Kristin and special guests, what will begin with Sex and the City will evolve into talks about themes that are still so relevant today. "Are you a Charlotte?" is much more than just rewatching this beloved show, it brings the past and the present together as we talk with heart, humor and of course some optimism.
