A string of lights splits the night sky. Hearts jump, stories surge, and for a few charged minutes it feels like the invasion has begun—until research points to Starlink gliding through orbit. That whiplash from wonder to explanation sets the stage for a bigger question we wrestle with: what are we really seeing when we call something “alien,” and are we using the right lens to interpret the unknown?

We dig into the history—from Project Blue Book’s 12,000 reports to headline-grabbing hearings—then test the “ancient aliens” narrative against what we know about human ingenuity. From pyramids to Stonehenge, we weigh natural and human-made explanations without mocking curiosity. But we don’t stop at debunking. We pivot to the biblical worldview: angels and demons that don’t look like art, a spiritual realm that overlaps the physical, and a present darkness Scripture says we actively wrestle with. If the Bible insists the unseen is real, could some “UFO” stories be misread spiritual encounters rather than extraterrestrial visitors?

Along the way, we share a personal sighting that felt otherworldly in the moment and became explainable by morning, and we challenge the reflex to outsource evil to off-world villains. Discernment means holding two tools at once: investigate natural causes with rigor, and test the spirits with Scripture, prayer, and wise community. Not every light is a spacecraft—and not every mystery is mechanical. We make space for awe while staying grounded in truth.

If you’re curious about UFOs, angels and demons, spiritual warfare, and how faith helps interpret the unexplainable, this one’s for you. Listen, share your take, and help us go deeper—subscribe, rate the show, and tell us: are we looking at extraterrestrials, or a spiritual reality breaking through?

SPEAKER_00 (00:01):
Where are we going?

SPEAKER_02 (00:04):
Honestly, I want to take a nap.
That's where I'm going to goafter this.
That's where I'm going.

SPEAKER_00 (00:08):
For everyone else, welcome to another episode of
Practically Christian Podcast.

SPEAKER_02 (00:12):
That's not nice.
Ha ha ha!

SPEAKER_00 (00:15):
And in today's episode, you know what we're
gonna be discussing?

unknown (00:19):
Oh my word.

SPEAKER_00 (00:24):
What do y'all think that noise was?
What do you think it was?

SPEAKER_02 (00:28):
Ooh.
Um, makes me think of uh what'sthat show your dad used to watch
all the time?
With the redhead and DavidDeCovany.

SPEAKER_00 (00:44):
X-Files.
That's what we're discussing.

SPEAKER_02 (00:48):
The X-Files.

SPEAKER_00 (00:49):
Not the X-Files.
I hated that show.

SPEAKER_02 (00:52):
I used to watch what your dad sometimes said.
So did I when you were in thearmy?

SPEAKER_00 (00:56):
When he used to make me watch it.
I hated that show.
I hated that show.
Because from the majority of mylife, maybe even now, I don't
know.
I did not believe aliens were athing.
Like I went, hold on.
You mean to tell me?
You think there's a civilizationthat exists on another planet?

SPEAKER_02 (01:22):
Do I think that?

SPEAKER_00 (01:24):
Yeah.
No, that that's what that wasthe the point of the thing.

SPEAKER_02 (01:28):
I think it's possible.
I mean, I think it's hardbecause like I say it and then
I'm like, man, but that kind ofsounds weird.

SPEAKER_00 (01:37):
You know, like I say, go get you some temfoil?

SPEAKER_02 (01:40):
Yeah, yes.

SPEAKER_00 (01:41):
You know what really, really got me was uh at
the Y files.

SPEAKER_02 (01:45):
Oh yeah.
Um you haven't watched that in awhile.

SPEAKER_00 (01:48):
It was too much.
It's not that it was too much,it hasn't popped up in my
recommended watching that allthe time.
It's a YouTube channel.
I mean, a lot ofthought-provoking, you know, uh,
and he does really goodresearch.
You know, um AJ and Hecklefish.

(02:09):
Um, they do really goodresearch, really well made
videos, um, and they're andthey're really thought-provoking
as well.
Um but you know, I got towatching some of them and it
makes you question things.

SPEAKER_02 (02:25):
You're going, hmm.

SPEAKER_00 (02:27):
Yeah.
If nothing else, it makes mequestion.
It does, yeah.

SPEAKER_02 (02:30):
Because there are a few that I watched that I was
like, eh.
But not many of them.
Most of them, I was like, oh my.
Oh, oh no.

SPEAKER_00 (02:39):
I agree, but even like with the X-files.
You know, even looking at a TVshow like that.
I don't know.

SPEAKER_02 (02:49):
I just do you think there are other things out
there?

SPEAKER_00 (02:54):
Like aliens like E.T.

SPEAKER_02 (02:56):
Not necessarily like E.T.

SPEAKER_00 (02:57):
Like Martians and you know I don't know.

SPEAKER_02 (03:00):
I go, is it arrogant to think that we are the most
amazing things that God made?
I mean, we could be.

SPEAKER_00 (03:07):
I mean, did God not say he made us in his image?
I mean.

SPEAKER_02 (03:11):
That to me was But are we the only uses he made?

SPEAKER_00 (03:18):
Alright.
Right now, this is one of thosetopics that it seems like
everyone is talking about.
So from 1947 to 1969, there were12,000 UFO sightings.

(03:44):
Like to a point that that werelike documented and reported to
uh uh it was called Project BlueBook, which was a small top
secret Air Force team.
Um, and their mission was toinvestigate this and go, is
there any is there any proofthat this exists?

(04:05):
And what they say.
Um it's inconclusive.

SPEAKER_02 (04:09):
Of course it is.

SPEAKER_00 (04:10):
But again, even on, you know, I know we just had
here in America, we just hadthose uh congressional hearings.
Right where the military cameout with a lot of declassified,
right, you know, like, hey, yep,we have aliens.
Yep.
We have their bodies, we havetheir spaceships, we have you
know, all of this, but butagain, they didn't show any like

(04:31):
conclusive proof of anything, you know, and and I mean you
even have um you know that show, which mall it, uh ancient
aliens, you know, that thatwould say when we look through
the past, you know, how did theEgyptians build the pyramids?
You know, there were aliens, youknow.

(04:53):
The pyramids were.
I mean, that is a good question.

SPEAKER_03 (04:56):
Right.

SPEAKER_00 (04:57):
You know, how do they build Stonehedge?
How do they, you know, all ofthese ancient things, you know,
how did these things happen?
And they go, Oh, there wasaliens.
Right.

SPEAKER_02 (05:07):
Um as far as the technology goes, they're sitting
there going, There's no way theydid this with their bare two
hands.

SPEAKER_00 (05:14):
I mean, the National Archives here in America has,
you know, over 17,000 files ofunidentified flying objects.
I don't know, it's just it'shard for me to wrap my head and

(05:36):
go, you know what?
Yes, I believe that there areother intelligent life forms
among the universe.
And I and I'm sitting heregoing, and if you had the
technology to get from whereveryou were to here to Earth,
right?
Then I mean you had to have acame up.
What else is well not just that, you had to have came for a

(05:58):
different reason just to flyaround and then disappear back
into the night.

SPEAKER_02 (06:02):
Right.
Like, are you doingobservations?

SPEAKER_00 (06:05):
And see, and that's what a lot of people think.
Like, oh, you know, these arescouts, you know, they're coming
to see what defenses we have, and you know, because eventually
they're gonna come take us overand or they're looking for a new
place to land and start newfamilies.
Maybe and and and I know thereare people that believe that
there are already aliens amongus right now, you know, and you
know, they they've learned tolike and again you ever notice

(06:27):
like the aliens are always somuch better than us?
Like in every way, shape, andform, they're stronger, they're
faster, they're smarter, likethey can morph like into like
human like I go IndependenceDay.
I go, how come there's no dumbaliens out there?
How come there's no aliens thatare like you know, the redneck
aliens to me?
Like you you know what I mean?

SPEAKER_02 (06:47):
Like but rednecks aren't always dumb.

SPEAKER_00 (06:49):
You know, they're flying saucers, have duct tape,
and you know that'sintelligence, that's beer can,
you know, beer cans flying.
You know?
I don't know.
I don't know.
I don't know.

SPEAKER_02 (07:02):
So lots of I don't know.
I'd love to hear what otherpeople think.

SPEAKER_00 (07:07):
I hey, that's what social media is all about.
Yeah, hit us up.

unknown (07:12):
Tell us.

SPEAKER_00 (07:12):
Whether it's on Facebook or Instagram or
anything like that.

SPEAKER_02 (07:15):
I know And watch the why files and see what you
think.

SPEAKER_00 (07:18):
Because I think if people were to watch it, they
would I would love I would loveto be able to get AJ on as a
guest.
That would be pretty cool andtalk about this.
Um because he man, he reallydoes.
He just has this.
He does a really good job, yeah.
Um with everything he talksabout.
But I'll tell you like my ownpersonal okay, personal close

(07:39):
and climate story, right?

SPEAKER_02 (07:40):
What you got?
Oh boy.

SPEAKER_00 (07:42):
So a couple weeks ago, a couple months ago, maybe.
Oh my.
No, it was a couple weeks ago.
Okay, you know, uh it's it's notuncommon after service on
Saturday nights for us to go getsomething to eat with some of
the people, you know, that thatworship with us.
Um and it it's not uncommon forone of those people that we

(08:03):
normally go get something toeat, you know, to go, hey, let's
just sit here and talk aboutsome random things.
And and it was getting to thepoint where we were out really
late and Debbie hated justsitting in the car, and she was
like, Hey, I don't care if y'allwant to stay up and talk, but
like I want to go home.
Let's just go to the house andand y'all can stay up as late as
you want because then I can goto bed.

SPEAKER_04 (08:23):
Yes.

SPEAKER_00 (08:24):
So one of these nights we did decide that.
We did, you know, we ate, wecame back home, you know, we
were sitting out front, and youknow, me and Josh were just
sitting there like kind oftalking.
And and all of a sudden, youknow, it's nighttime, but we
have lights outside, so like youcan still see people's faces and
stuff.
Me and Josh are sitting theretalking, all of a sudden I seen
his eyes get like huge mouthdrop open.

(08:49):
Right.
And and he goes, Holy Did yousee that?
Did you see that?
And I was like, What?
And he's pointing up in the air,and when I turn around, it was
this line of of lights.
I remember that that I mean tothe point where I had to run
into the house and get all ofyou and go, y'all gotta come out

(09:10):
here and see this.
And and it was just like lightafter light after light after in
this.

SPEAKER_02 (09:14):
It was like hundreds of them, and then it just
disappeared.

SPEAKER_00 (09:16):
And this perfect line across the sky.
And you know, me and Josh, whohave been talking about this
topic extensively, yes.
Um or go, there it is.
Oh my god, it's the invasion.
They're coming for us.
Yep.
Project Blue Beam is it's aliveand well.

SPEAKER_02 (09:34):
Yep.

SPEAKER_00 (09:35):
And so after, you know, a couple more hours of
sitting there talking about whatwe just saw, right?
I had to research it.
And and I come to find out itwas uh at about the same time
looking in the western sky inthe state of Texas, which is you
know, about two thousand miles, well, about a thousand miles
away from us.
Okay, they saw the same thing.

(09:56):
Yes.
So I was like, uh-oh.
I this might have been aworldwide thing, or at least a
nationwide thing.
Right.
Come to find out though, thatit's the Starlink satellites.
Oh yes, I do remember findingthat out and going.
Elon Musk in in uh what is it?
SpaceX have been sending up.
Yes.
And and it's the the sunreflecting off of the satellites

(10:19):
as they're moving in orbit.
And I was like, okay, well, thatmakes a lot more sense.

SPEAKER_02 (10:24):
No, but at the time it was like, they're here.
They're here to stay.

SPEAKER_00 (10:28):
So do I believe in aliens?
Because that that was theoriginal question, right?
No.
I don't believe I believe thereare things we don't know.
I'm I'm getting there.

SPEAKER_02 (10:39):
I'm just telling you what I believe.

SPEAKER_00 (10:41):
I don't believe that there are like little or big
intelligent life forms living onother planets.

SPEAKER_02 (10:55):
Okay.

SPEAKER_00 (10:56):
However, if I was like just chilling in the front
yard and an angel or a demonappeared, mm-hmm, mm-hmm, what
would you call that?
Because again, most people thinklike these these divine beings.

(11:18):
Right.
You know, oh, they look likepeople.
But if you read like thedescriptions of the angels,
right.

SPEAKER_02 (11:26):
Like the Sephiroth and they're not cute and fluffy.

SPEAKER_00 (11:30):
Well, and they don't look like people either.

SPEAKER_02 (11:31):
Right.
They don't look like cherubims.

SPEAKER_00 (11:33):
Yeah, you well, you go through even cherubim don't
look like people.

SPEAKER_02 (11:37):
No.

SPEAKER_00 (11:37):
I know artists have painted them as chubby little
babies, but that is not how itis the Bible describes them.
You know, I mean, you're talkingabout beings with like the head
of a lion, the body of a man, wings with you know, eyes all
over them so that they are allseen.
Right.
Like, I mean, you were talkingabout some like horrific looking

(11:58):
scary things.

SPEAKER_02 (11:59):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (12:00):
Which is probably why anytime an angel appears,
the first thing out of theirmouth Do not be afraid.

SPEAKER_02 (12:05):
Do not fear.

SPEAKER_00 (12:06):
Because if you look like that, you know you're gonna
be afraid.
Right.
Like you you or you're you'regonna be scary, I should say.
Um, so do I believe in in thespiritual realm?
Absolutely.
Do I believe that that you knowit it these demonic and angelic,
you know, beings exist a hundredpercent?

(12:29):
Um and and do I believe thatthey they can come and go?
Yeah.

SPEAKER_02 (12:37):
You're just saying that you don't believe they're
gonna come in a flying saucerwith, you know, nanu nanu, we
come in peace.

SPEAKER_00 (12:44):
I don't believe like there's there's a colony of
people living on like say Mars.

SPEAKER_02 (12:48):
Gotcha.

SPEAKER_00 (12:49):
Um that are gonna come to the planet.

SPEAKER_02 (12:52):
Okay.

SPEAKER_00 (12:52):
Um I don't believe that, you know, because cause
again, like if you were to askmost people, where is heaven?

SPEAKER_02 (12:59):
They'll point up to the sky.

SPEAKER_00 (13:00):
Yeah, up there somewhere, right?

SPEAKER_02 (13:02):
And if you say where's hell, they're gonna
point to the ground.

SPEAKER_00 (13:05):
Right, they're gonna in the middle of the earth.
Like that's hell.

SPEAKER_02 (13:07):
And I go We're looking at it from an earthy
realm versus the spiritualrealm.

SPEAKER_00 (13:12):
There you go.
And and I go And there is adifference where those two
realms overlap.
Because again, like if you readthrough scripture, I mean, Jesus
talks about the kingdom ofheaven is at hand, it's here,
it's now, you know.
Yes, it it also you know is inthe future.
And he talks about waking up thedead, you know, but it's here,

(13:33):
it's now, and I go, you know, again, in in Ephesians 6, you
know, Paul talks about r wedon't wrestle against flesh and
blood, but against the powers ofdarkness in the present age.
Excuse me.
Oh my goodness.
Um, you know, we we wrestleagainst the powers of darkness
in the present age.

SPEAKER_03 (13:50):
Right.

SPEAKER_00 (13:50):
Where's the present age?
When's the present age?
I mean, that's all here, that'sall now.

SPEAKER_03 (13:54):
Right.

SPEAKER_00 (13:55):
Um, so so I believe that there is a spiritual realm
that overlaps the physicalrealm.

SPEAKER_03 (14:01):
Right.

SPEAKER_00 (14:02):
Um, you know, like even if we look at things like,
you know, exorcisms and anddemonic possession, demonic
oppression, you know, things ofthat nature.

SPEAKER_03 (14:12):
Right.

SPEAKER_00 (14:13):
I I think there is ample evidence of of that
throughout human, you know,time.
Um even if we look at like, youknow, why did God you know flood
the earth?
Right, you know, the thedaughters of or the sons of God
came down and took at with them, you know, daughters of man as

(14:35):
wives, and you know, they hadoffspring, right?
And then we get this Rephalumand the Nephilim, and you know,
these these great men of old,you know, who who again the
Bible describes as you know, just these beastly giants.
Like, you know, and God lookeddown and and saw that the
intention of man was evil andyou know, floods the earth.

(14:57):
So again, I mean, they're tryingto describe what they see, um,
you know, and and and again, like it just I think we just are
so quick to overlook thespiritual aspect of it, right?

SPEAKER_02 (15:16):
You know, well, I the spiritual aspect makes
people uncomfortable talking, even I mean, to you, I mean, my
Baptist Baptist husband.
I grew up, you know, in in smalllittle spent Spanish Pentecostal
churches, so we came fromopposite ends of the spectrum.
Um, you know, very oppositeends.

(15:40):
But as we've talked about, youhave to worship in spirit and in
truth, and that's why it'simportant to know what scripture
says and what it means and howit was written and like context.

SPEAKER_00 (15:54):
And understanding that it it's so much deeper than
just the surface level.
I mean, God is spirit, right?

SPEAKER_02 (16:00):
You know, Jesus was man.
Right.
Like there's so much again, that's why it is important, and
I'm just I'm just gonna go offon a side tangent as a female to
know what scripture says.
Daughter of Eve.
Daughter of Eve because no, uhbecause there's lots of I guess
a side tangent, I'm sorry, oflet's get together and do a

(16:23):
Bible study, but we all get totalk about our own opinions and
what we feel, and it's like, no,no, no, no.
Like you need to know what itsays.
Wicked and deceitful.
Wicked and deceitful.
You need to know in context, andyou need to have somebody who
knows what they're talking aboutleading it.

SPEAKER_00 (16:40):
Right.

SPEAKER_02 (16:42):
All right, I'm done off.

SPEAKER_00 (16:43):
That had nothing to do with aliens.

SPEAKER_02 (16:45):
No, but I'm saying you don't understand the
spiritual aspect of it becauseyou're lost in your feelings and
your thoughts and opinions whenthose don't matter when you're
talking about scripture.

SPEAKER_00 (16:55):
Right.

SPEAKER_02 (16:56):
And that's what that's how it goes back to the
whole aliens thing.

SPEAKER_00 (16:59):
I gotcha.
And and so I mean Okay.

SPEAKER_02 (17:04):
Sorry, honey.

SPEAKER_00 (17:06):
We all have our pet projects, I guess.
Um, but but that's what I mean.
Like, I again I do sit here andI go, is there something besides
us?
Yeah, I mean, you know, whenwhen the devil enters into the
divine counsel in the book ofJob, obviously there is
something more.
You know, when when Lucifer isthrown from heaven along with a

(17:28):
third of the angels to earth, obviously there is something
more.
Obviously, there is a power atwork in the present age.

SPEAKER_03 (17:37):
Right.

SPEAKER_00 (17:37):
I mean, anyone can look around and see everything
that's going on in the world andgo, you know, uh, there's
obviously an evil that exists.
Right.
Um I think it's easier for us toto think that that evil is
external and coming fromsomewhere else than than to sit

(17:58):
here and go, no, that evil isactually very personal and
intimate and and coming fromwithin.

SPEAKER_02 (18:06):
Right.
Well, it makes yeah, it makespeople uncomfortable.

SPEAKER_00 (18:09):
Right.
I mean, but it would be easy tosit here and go, oh, you know
blame it on something else.
Right.
The the Martians or the Jupiterand the Neptune.

SPEAKER_02 (18:18):
Let me focus on everything else except whatever
you would call people fromUranus.
It's called Dingleberry'sUranus.

SPEAKER_04 (18:29):
Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_00 (18:37):
I know it's called Uranus.

SPEAKER_01 (18:39):
I got nothing right now.
Where's my Uranus?
That's on a video we saw.
This is a comedy video.
I'm so sorry.

SPEAKER_00 (18:51):
What would you call them though?

SPEAKER_02 (18:53):
Uraniums?

SPEAKER_00 (18:55):
That's a that's an element.
Uranium?

SPEAKER_02 (18:58):
You can still call them uraniums.

SPEAKER_00 (19:00):
Uranuses is like Uranuses.
Okay, moving on quickly.
But again, so do do I believeyou know that there's a
civilization of people or orhumanoids or or something of
that nature that is, you know, that that has developed

(19:21):
technology to travel at lightspeed and find wormholes
throughout the universe and beable to, you know.
Do I think Star Wars is a thing?
No.
No, not like that.
No, I don't.

SPEAKER_02 (19:36):
Um I do think there are things we don't know about,
but I don't think it's our placeto know.

SPEAKER_00 (19:40):
I'm not saying I have evidence to say that that
is not a thing.
Yeah.
You know, maybe in a galaxy far,far away.

SPEAKER_03 (19:46):
Right.

SPEAKER_00 (19:46):
That is exactly what's happening.

SPEAKER_03 (19:48):
Right.

SPEAKER_00 (19:48):
Um, but on the same hand, I think what we're seeing
is is that crossover between thespiritual and the natural.
You know, I think, you know, these unexplainable, I mean,
isn't that what a miracle is?
An unexplainable natural event.

SPEAKER_03 (20:09):
Yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (20:10):
You know, people being raised from the dead or
people coming back from thedead, or, you know, diseases
that are miraculously hey, we itit's gone.
Right.
We can't explain it.
It's just gone, right.
You know.
Yeah.
And and I think if more of uswere more open to the idea of

(20:30):
this spiritual realm, I mean,again, and I don't know, I don't
even know who said it, but youknow, most people have heard the
saying the greatest trick thedevil ever pulled off was
convincing the world that hedidn't exist.
Right.
And and I go, I don't know whosaid it, but there's a lot of
truth to it.
Yeah, they're not wrong.

SPEAKER_03 (20:49):
Right.

SPEAKER_00 (20:50):
You know, if if he can convince you that he doesn't
exist, then you're not gonnatake him seriously to begin
with, which means you're notgonna, you know, uh resist sin
and temptation.
You're not because he doesn't,he's not real, it's no big deal.
Right, right.
There is no absoluterepercussion.
Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02 (21:07):
You know, and and I think by nature that's what
people want.

SPEAKER_00 (21:11):
And I think as the I think as the church pulls
further and further away thatthe the evil powers at work in
this present darkness are aremore and more emboldened to to
go, well, fine, like you won'tplay, let's play.
Right.
Like you don't want to push backagainst us, like then then we'll

(21:31):
come into your realm, right?
You know, and and be able tohandle it from there.
Does that make sense?

SPEAKER_02 (21:36):
It does, yeah.

SPEAKER_00 (21:37):
So, no, I don't believe in aliens and the way
people not like eighteen.
Right.

SPEAKER_02 (21:43):
But there are other forces and things that are at
play that you should be awareof.
And if you don't believe it andyou're a Christian, read your
Bible from this dimension,right?
Read your Bible.

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
