167: 2023 State of Podcast Guesting Report with Tom Schwab

Tom Schwab is known as the father of Podcast Interview Marketing. Beyond just

podcast guesting, he saw in 2013 how targeted podcast interviews could drive

an inbound marketing machine. He has appeared on over 1,500 interviews and

his company, Interview Valet, has served over one thousand leading brands,

consultant, and non-fiction authors on over fifty thousand interviews since 2015.

Tom is an author, speaker, and teacher. His book Podcast Guest Profits: How

to grow your business with a targeted interview strategy has been called the

bible of podcast guesting. He has presented at INBOUND, Harvard, the American

Marketing Association , PodFest, and Podcast Movement about using podcast

guesting as a marketing channel.

 

Trained as an engineer, he graduated from the United States Naval Academy

(Annapolis) and ran nuclear power plants on aircraft carriers. This systems

approach has allowed him to create, refine, execute, scale, and teach a new

marketing channel that is rapidly growing in acceptance and impact.
