Speaker 1 (00:05):
Welcome to the spot podcast.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Welcome to the Prospects Live Dynasty Podcast, Episode number eighty one.
It is Wednesday, August twenty seven, twenty twenty five. I
am your host, Craig who Camp. I'm the director of
Dynasty content for Prospects Live. I have three members of
my Dynasty team with me tonight. We have a special
episode planned. First of all, a number of our Dynasty

(00:34):
team and the author of Three Up, Three Down, Tom Gates.

Speaker 3 (00:38):
Hi you doing Tom?

Speaker 4 (00:39):
Hello there, Greg?

Speaker 5 (00:40):
How are you doing.

Speaker 3 (00:41):
I'm doing good. Nice to have you with us. Another
number of our Dynasty team.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
And the author of the Diamond Diplomas series, Lucas Morale, Lucas,
how you doing?

Speaker 1 (00:51):
Happy to be here. The Yankees remembered how to hit today,
so I'm in a good mood.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
Yes, they're on the bath right now for sure.

Speaker 2 (00:58):
And the third, i'mburg our Dynas team taking part in
this podcast. Remember the Dynasty pickups team, Taylor of Courso.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
Taylor, how you doing?

Speaker 4 (01:08):
I'm doing pretty good. What's up? Guys?

Speaker 3 (01:10):
Nice to have all three of you with us.

Speaker 2 (01:12):
And in this episode we're going to be doing some
player battles. So this is something we did last year
in article form. We're going to do it in podcast
form this time, where we have high rankers and low
rankers on certain prospects, and we're going to have a
little bit of a debate and discussion about some of
these maybe harder to rank prospects, and we hope hopefully

(01:34):
this will help kind of, I don't know, put together
an opinion on where you sit with a player, so
maybe we can convince each other a little bit as well.
I think this is a good exercise to go through
every once in a while with some of these harder
to rank players.

Speaker 3 (01:51):
But before we.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
Get to that, guys, we're going to go through some
news and notes in major league and minor league baseball. Actually,
before that, even I just wanted to brow the topic
of expansion because Commissioner Manafred talked about it at the
Little League game on Sunday Night Baseball and he was
asked about expansion and he was asked about realignment.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
But we haven't talked.

Speaker 2 (02:12):
About that on this podcast yet. So we've seen some
ideas floated out. We've seen various different arrangements of things,
and some of them good, some of them really not good.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
But it's a fun topic. To discuss. So I'll throw
it out to you, guys, where do you.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
See as possible expansion cities once we get to that point,
which might be five ten years down the road, even so,
maybe Taylor.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
Will start with you. What are your thoughts on expansion
possible expansion cities.

Speaker 6 (02:45):
Yeah, I'm excited about expansion. I think it would be
a really fun thing.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
You know.

Speaker 6 (02:48):
I've seen it happen twice in my lifetime, first with
the Marlins and Diamondbacks, and then with the or sorry
Marlins and Rockies, and then the raising Diamondbacks there. Know,
I think it's really fun, exciting, and I hope that
it happens. As far as where, you know, I think
there's a lot of cities that have been talked about
last few years, you know, Nashville, Montreal, some of those

(03:11):
other cities. I think in the Carolinas as well. But
but yeah, I'm just excited for the possibility. My biggest
thing is with thee alignment, just make sure you keep
those division rivals in the same division, like the the
Dodgers and Giants. I saw one, you know, plan where
they were in different divisions, and like, I can't imagine
the Dodgers and Giants being in different divisions.

Speaker 4 (03:31):
I think that would be a huge loss for baseball.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
No, that's a good point.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
You got to you got to make sure whatever you do,
you keep those especially the big rivalries like you mentioned
that one. But Thank's Red Sox have been the same division.
There's there's several. Even the Padres and the Dodgers right
now are a big rival or you got to keep
them in there as well. So, Lucas, I'll throw it
over you. What do you think about expansion? Do you
have any other cities than other other than what Taylor

(03:57):
mentioned there.

Speaker 7 (03:58):
I completely agree with Taylor about the importance of keeping
the rivalries. I think the Yankees being in the same
division as both Boston and the Mets is kind of
a fun possibility. I feel like that would be really interesting,
sort of like a Northeast setup in terms of expansion cities.
Though I'm a little biased because I'm from Virginia, but
growing up in the middle of the state, we have

(04:19):
virtually no professional sports teams to root for. You have
to either side with the DC teams or think more
about the Carolinas. So I feel like a Richmond, Virginia
Major League Baseball team would be pretty cool. They've got
the GIANTSAA affiliate, the Flying Squirrels down there. They've been
there for the last thirty years, so there's already kind
of at least a local baseball team. And I think
given the fact that Virginia doesn't have an NBA team,

(04:41):
doesn't have a Major League Baseball team, we don't even
have like MLS or NHL. So I think if there
was one of the big leagues that decided to really
invest in Virginia sports, I think they would have a
fan base built in and there's a market there for it.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
Awesome, Tom, what are your thoughts on expansion?

Speaker 8 (04:57):
Yeah, I'm for it.

Speaker 5 (04:58):
I have family in Nashville, been there a few times
in basketball years, and it's popping down there. It's fun.
So I think that would be a good fit for
a ball team. And you know, realignment with the White
Sox and Cubs together, like give me another reason to
hate the White Sox, you know, So I'm all for that.

Speaker 2 (05:18):
Yeah, that would be a really good one to have
the New York teams and the Chicago teams together, the
LA teams possibly that hasn't really been sort of rival
because the Angels have not been a very good team
consistently over the last twenty years or so. But for me,
Montreal would definitely be the one. I believe it is
the biggest market in US Canada at least that doesn't

(05:42):
have a major League team. They had a team, they
have very loyal fans there. Obviously, the ownership decided they
wanted to sell and move the team. It was an
unfortunate situation, especially when it happened too. They've had really
good teams in the past and superstar players had to
end up trading them all because ownership wasn't able to support.

Speaker 3 (06:04):
But I just think that would be really good. I
think a.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
Team in Salt Lake City has been floated as well.

Speaker 3 (06:12):
They have a trip a team currently in Salt Lake City.

Speaker 2 (06:15):
So I think Vancouver, also in Canada, if I'm gonna
fly the flag here, would be awesome.

Speaker 3 (06:20):
Beautiful city, metropolitan city.

Speaker 2 (06:24):
They currently have a high hay team for the Blue
Jays there, so they'd have to build a stadium and
everything like that.

Speaker 3 (06:29):
But any other thoughts before we wrap up this discussion.

Speaker 6 (06:34):
I mean, you guys, I think a Vancouver team would
be a great rivalry with Seattle. I feel like those
two cities are so close, and there's so many people
I know in Seattle that like travel to Vancouver all
the time, and I'm sure it's vice versa that I
can see that being a really good rivalry if that happens.

Speaker 2 (06:49):
Could you guys foresee maybe not in this next iteration
of expansion, somewhere outside of Canada and the US, could
you see like a Mexico or a Dominican Republic or
anything like that being a possibility.

Speaker 6 (07:08):
I think Baseball would love that to happen, but I
think there's a lot of like logistical concerns with that.
I mean, obviously, like we've had games there during the
regular season, so like it's definitely something that could happen.
I think Baseball wants that to happen to expand other countries,
but like you said, I think it's probably further down
the road if it does happen.

Speaker 1 (07:29):
Yeah, the altitude in Mexico City, I think is the
big thing, like you're introducing.

Speaker 7 (07:33):
Basically in other course, on steroids, if you're bringing in
a team down there, most likely.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
Yeah, there's there's many more things that we're probably not
thinking about right now. Safety would be one in some
of these countries, Travel obviously altitude is one. But yeah,
it's it's a it's a Pendworth's box of stuff. Let's
start thinking about that. But it's a fun discussion and

(08:00):
one that we'll talk about more as it becomes more
of a reality.

Speaker 7 (08:03):
So apparently, like baseball in Oakland, maybe they should consider that.

Speaker 3 (08:08):
Yeah, I've heard the same thing.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
All right, guys, we'll mention here quickly in the news
with Major League Baseball that Samuel Basaio got an extension
eight years, sixty seven million dollars. It's one of those
kind of escalator deals where he can earn more if
he hit certain milestones. Samuel besioh has been one of
the best hitters in the minor leagues over the last

(08:33):
few seasons. This is the first guy that Baltimore has
really extended of their young core, which is surprising based
on all the different players they have on that team.
Thoughts on this deal, and I think we've talked about
deals like this in the past.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
I think most of us from favor of this. But
Tom will start with you on this one. Do you
like the steal for the Oriels? Do you like the
steal for Besio?

Speaker 5 (08:58):
I mean, it's it's hard to say, getting sixty seven
million is a bad deal, but I think the Orioles,
you know, got away with one here. This is kind
of like the Churio deal, right, he didn't get more
than one hundred million. But a lot of people are
speculating if Adley is going to be on the move.

Speaker 8 (09:19):
I think he's going to stick around.

Speaker 5 (09:21):
I can't see besides taking over full time, a full
time role behind the plate. I think they would love
to move him around and have ADLEI be behind the
plate the majority of the time.

Speaker 2 (09:34):
Yeah, Taylor or Lucas, do you have any comments on
the deal?

Speaker 8 (09:38):
Yeah?

Speaker 7 (09:39):
I like the deal for both sides as well. I
think I always forget. I mean, we all watched baseball
for years, but even me, I always forget that these
are basically just buying out the r beers for a
lot of these young guys like Beside is still going
to hit the free agency market at twenty eight, which
is incredibly good for him as he thinks about what
that sort of second contract could look like. So it's
a it's a bet on his own long term for sure.

(10:01):
I mean, it hasn't always panned out, but I think,
just like we saw with the Roman Anthony deal. It's
bird in the hand is better than two in the
bush for both the team and the player. I think
in this situation part of the reason I think they
didn't Baltimore sign like some of their earlier prospect call
ups like Holiday or Gunners. They just kind of missed
the boat on that. Like I think a Gunner extension
right now is going to be probably in the top

(10:25):
ten in baseball conversation in terms of average annual value.
And so I think the ownership group this new one
is probably just trying to get their feet wet with
these contract deals and decide was the most cost effective
while still being somebody that they want to build on
for the future.

Speaker 3 (10:38):
Yeah, I agree.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
I think Baltimore's kind of mismanaged this whole window, obviously
not maximizing their pitching when they had this young core.
They still have time, but they really haven't done a
good job with the Taylor thoughts.

Speaker 6 (10:51):
Yeah, I just want to piggyback off something Lucas said
about like them not locking up their other core. Like,
you know, I think Jackson Holiday is another one where
you just were never going to extend it, right because
he's Matt Halliday's son. He has no reason to sign
an early career extension there right. But I think in
terms of you know, this deal, I like it for
both sides. I think it definitely shows that you know,

(11:14):
Baltimore believes in Samuel Bissio and we're hopefully not going
to see the same sort of up and down we've
seen with so many other Oils prospects. I mean, if
you're giving him that contract, presumably you're going to give
him every amount of run.

Speaker 4 (11:27):
To establish himself at the big league level.

Speaker 6 (11:29):
I'm not as sure as Tom is that Adley Reshman's
sticking around. I think he could move. There was some
rumblings about him moving prior to the trade deadline that
I didn't really believe. But now that Beasioh's locked up,
I could see a world in which that happens. I
will say, from a money standpoint, I found it interesting
the eight sixty seven because Christian Campbell's was eight sixty
and Roman Anthony's was eight one to twenty, so much

(11:52):
closer to the Christian Campbell side of things than the
Roman Anthony side of things. You know, whether that's right
or wrong, we'll see. But again, you know, obviously a
little bit more defensively limited in Sanuel Bissillo than a
Roman Anthony.

Speaker 5 (12:04):
For example, the battle portion isn't supposed to start until later, Taylor,
I don't that's supposed to be disagreeing with me yet.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
Hey, what what We'll get to that one thing.

Speaker 5 (12:16):
One thing that I've kind of thought about here. You know,
the the collective bargaining agreement ends in twenty twenty six,
and you kind of wonder if these young guys are like, like,
who knows how long that lasts. Let me get you know,
a piece of the pie right now. You know, we
could have you know, hopefully we don't, but we could
have a strike.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
Yeah, what does what does the contract environment look like
after the next the next deal is signed?

Speaker 3 (12:42):
Right? So yeah, it's a valid point. Looking at some injuries, guys,
a few few arms.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
I don't know about you guys, but my my dynasity
teams are getting decimated right now with injuries.

Speaker 3 (12:53):
It's it's brutal.

Speaker 2 (12:55):
So we'll talk about the arms here. Nadiovaldi right rotator
cuff drain.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
He's out for the year.

Speaker 2 (13:00):
Jacob Lopez left elbow flexer strain. Frankie Montas right UCL
injury significant I don't know if they've said TJ yet,
but it looks like it's going down that road. And
a couple of excellent believers Trevor McGill right flexer stream
and Randy Rodriguez a right elbow spring. Lucas will start

(13:21):
with you. Any thoughts on these five arms.

Speaker 1 (13:24):
Yeah, I'm right there with you.

Speaker 7 (13:25):
In terms of the fantasy teams taking a hit, I
only made one deadline trade in my home league and
it was Hagen Smith for Nathany Evaldi, so that hasn't
aged particularly well for me, I think. Also, I mean,
the Rangers just talk about windows. They got their World Series,
so it was definitely worth it. But I think we're
getting to the point where next year things are looking
like pretty rough for them and they might need to

(13:47):
consider rebuilding around Langford.

Speaker 3 (13:50):
Taylor.

Speaker 6 (13:52):
Yeah, I mean I got to echo what Lucas said there.
I have Alvaldi and a few leagues that I'm in
the playoffs now, and losing him, you know, at the
very start of the playoffs is just a brutal hit
because he's been unbelievable this year.

Speaker 3 (14:06):
Yeah, Tom, any thoughts on.

Speaker 5 (14:07):
On these five arms, Yeah, just add to the collection
that I already have on the IL.

Speaker 8 (14:13):
It's tough.

Speaker 3 (14:15):
It is tough.

Speaker 2 (14:15):
Okay, moving on to some hitters, Jackson Merrill ankle sprain,
Luis Robert Junior left ham string strain, Ali Rushman, they
aforementioned right oblique strain. Marcus Semian the first time he's
ever been on the IL. Left foot contusion. Who had
that on their Bengal cards. Jordan Westberg right ankle sprain,

(14:36):
Evan Carter right risk fracture, William A. Brady right calf strain,
Nolan Shanuel right left risk confusion and has on camp.
Has been a forgettable season for him, lower back inflammation.
Tom will start with you on this one. Any any
highlights or thoughts on on these hitters.

Speaker 5 (14:56):
Yeah, Westbrook just can't stay healthy and it's disappointing because
I think think a lot of us had high hopes for.

Speaker 8 (15:01):
Him this year.

Speaker 5 (15:03):
I think Merrill is like the obvious by low this offseason,
but everybody knows about it, so I think it's going
to be hard to get it from them.

Speaker 6 (15:13):
Okay, Taylor, Yeah, for me, it's it's Evan Carter, Like
this is a guy who finally seemed to be over
the injuries, coming back breaking out and then to have
like a fluke injury, but like getting hit on the
wrist there and have it broken. I mean, it's just
you feel for the kid. That's just so demoralizing.

Speaker 3 (15:35):
Yeah, I guess the only silver aligning with it.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
It's not his back, right, it's not the injury that's
been plaguing him for the last couple of seasons.

Speaker 3 (15:41):
So, Lucas, any thoughts on.

Speaker 7 (15:43):
The hitters, Yeah, thinkingbacking on our viciall conversation, I think
nobody wanted Adlie Rutchman to have a stronger end of
the year than the Orioles. They would have loved to
have a dilemma going into the offseason where both of
their kind of catchers of the future were playing well.
So I think this is going to free up time
for Besillo to kind of earn sort of the long
term role going into twenty twenty six in a way

(16:05):
that he might not have if Adlie had still been
splitting time with him down the stretch.

Speaker 1 (16:08):
Even though the team doesn't really have much to play for.

Speaker 3 (16:12):
Shifting Gearson players on their way back.

Speaker 2 (16:15):
So this list is as long as the injury list,
which is good good news.

Speaker 3 (16:20):
I guess Jackson Curio is on a.

Speaker 2 (16:22):
Rehab assignment at this point, Pablo Lopez is back on
the hill throwing in the minor leagues. Perker Meadows was
just activated actually, so he'll play for the Tigers down
the stretch here. And Francisco Alvarez, who was starting to
turn it on a little bit, got hurt and is
now back on a rehab assignment.

Speaker 3 (16:40):
Then some players that.

Speaker 2 (16:40):
Have already been activated, You're not on Alvarez finally after
months and months of what is going on with him,
is back on the field. Matt Chapman, Adolas Garcia, Victor Roebliss,
Jacob Wilson, Michael Massey, Zach Galoff.

Speaker 3 (16:56):
Will pause there and.

Speaker 2 (16:58):
See if you guys have any thoughts on any of
these hitters here, So Lucas will start with you.

Speaker 7 (17:05):
Yeah, Matt Chapman's another one that I have in a
bunch of leagues that I was hoping he was going
to be able to stay healthy, and I think he's
now back unhealthy and hopefully going to help people out
down the stretch. I think the San Francisco has been
actually kind of rejuvenating for him. I think the offense
has been exactly what we were hoping we were going
to get when he was in Toronto between stops after Oakland,

(17:27):
and so I think hopefully he finishes the year strong,
helps me out in fantasy, and is able to avoid
getting hit by any pitches.

Speaker 2 (17:34):
Yes, that would be nice, Tom, tell me your thoughts
on any of these.

Speaker 8 (17:38):
I'm surprised Victor Robiss is still in the majors.

Speaker 5 (17:43):
And for what he did. Yeah, happy to have yourdan
back or yeah, I mean I have him everywhere, so
let's stay healthy.

Speaker 2 (17:55):
Yeah, that's a He's one of the premier bats in
the major leagues and he kind of goes under the
radar a little bit since he's not on one of
the He's not a good team obviously, but he's He's
just a slugger pretty much and a really good hitter.

Speaker 6 (18:09):
So Taylor, Yeah, I think I think we snuck in
zached Off at the end of this list. I think
he's the player on this list that we talked about
so far that could have the biggest swinging value depending
on how the rest of his season goes, because this
is a guy who really took off like his rookie year,
has had a down year, has an injury plagued year,

(18:30):
and now it's sort of like, what do you have
with him? Is he going to be an MLB regular
going forward?

Speaker 4 (18:36):
Is he not?

Speaker 6 (18:37):
If he can perform the rest of the way, he's
going to be, you know, a pretty decent, decently valued
dynasty option. If he struggles the rest of the way,
he's probably cut, you know, in a lot of places.
So it's really going to be kind of a make
or break stretch for him at the end of this year, I.

Speaker 2 (18:52):
Think, and sticking from the athletics perspective, they don't even
need him to be really great. They just need him
to be solid because they've got so the other good
hitters on that team right now.

Speaker 3 (19:01):
He can just be their number seven.

Speaker 2 (19:03):
Hitter or whatever and just kind of blend in and
provide value at the bottom of the orders. So we
know he did.

Speaker 3 (19:10):
He Yeah, there you go.

Speaker 2 (19:13):
Some arms that have come back, guys, This is a
little more exciting. Shane Bieber looked dominant in his first
start for the Jays. Nick Ladolo is back on the
mound as well. Kyle Bradish had nine strikeouts in his
first outing. Chad Patrick, Gordon, Percetho, and then reliever Tanner
Scott is back as well, so Lucas will start with
you on this one.

Speaker 3 (19:34):
Who are you most excited to see back on the hill.

Speaker 7 (19:37):
Most excited for Tanner Scott actually, because of how chaotic
I think the back end of the bullpen situation has
been for fantasy purposes with a lot of the contending
teams like Ryan Helsley has looked really rough since joining
the Mets. John Duran had that injury scare for Philly.
So I think that there's going to be a surprising
number of people who are going to win their leagues
or at least make a push because they remembered that

(19:59):
Tanner Scott was available, and I think he's going to
step right back into high leverage for the Dodgers.

Speaker 3 (20:05):
Tom, what do you think about this list of arms here.

Speaker 8 (20:09):
Long term?

Speaker 5 (20:09):
I like Bradish He really kind of was putting it
together before he got hurt, and the Orioles need pitching,
so I think I think they're hoping to rely on
him in the future.

Speaker 3 (20:22):
Yeah, he was. He was very very good when he
was healthy. Was it two years ago or last year
when he had his breakout?

Speaker 5 (20:29):
I believe it was two years ago, two years ago, Yeah, Taylor.

Speaker 6 (20:34):
Yeah, I'm just happy Nicklodolo's back. I've always been a
huge fan, you know. I think it's a little unfair
he has to come back and face the Dodgers today,
but you know, let's just how the schedule breaks. But
really happy to see him back because I think, you know,
I still don't think we've seen the best of Nicklodolo.
I think he's He's definitely had a good year this year.
But I think there's there's more in the tank there.

Speaker 2 (20:53):
That that Red's rotation could be very, very good coming
out next season. I'm excited about what the ceiling of
that that rotation.

Speaker 4 (21:02):
Will look like, if they could ever stay healthy.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
If they could ever stay healthy. I was just going
to add that on the end of the sentence. Okay, guys,
you've had some some promotions, actually quite a bit of movement.

Speaker 3 (21:13):
Some top prospects have got called up to the major leagues.

Speaker 2 (21:15):
So Joe Stinson Garcia the Red Sox, Carson Williams of
the Rays, Bubba Chandler of the Pirates, Joan and Tom
will start Friday night for the Mets, Mason Barnett at
the Athletics, Nick Abel called back up by the Twins
this time, and Zach Maxwell an interesting reliever with the Reds.
So Taylor, we'll start with you on this one. Give

(21:38):
me your thoughts on one or two of these guys.

Speaker 6 (21:40):
Yeah, I feel like we're going to talk about one
of these names later, so I'm not going to get
to that one, you know. I think Carson Williams he's
really a big question mark because he has some really
fancy friendly skills with the power and speed. He's got
great defense, but it's really a question of how much
he's gonna hit. I think he's hit the ground running
so far. I think he's in his first few games.

(22:02):
He already had like a home run in a stolen
base and everything, but there's major questions about sort of
how Yeah he's hitting four hundred right now through four games,
but there's major questions about how much the contact is gonna,
you know, suffer once the league adjusts to him. So
he's one where I'm excited about him long term. I
just feel like it's going to be kind of a

(22:23):
bumpy road to get there.

Speaker 3 (22:25):
Yeah, I would hand to agree with you on that one.
For sure. He'll be kind of a volipile player going forward,
but a lot of upside for sure. Lucas.

Speaker 1 (22:36):
Yeah, I definitely agree with Taylor.

Speaker 7 (22:37):
I think it's clear to see what the Ray's value
in Williams in terms of like even if you just
think about him and Chandler Simpson, like they're combined slash
lines and their combined production. If you can think about
two hitters that are going to produce that amount of
power and that amount of.

Speaker 1 (22:51):
Speed, and you get a little bit more average floor.

Speaker 7 (22:53):
With Simpson to kind of balance that Williams probably hitting
two twenty some years to thirty some years. But the
name on this list that I really want to talk
about is Bubba Chandler. I think it looks really obvious
that those control issues in Triple A were stemming mostly
from boredom and frustration. I think he was ready to
be a major league pitcher in May at the latest,
probably this year. He's through two outings, eight clean innings,

(23:17):
he has a win in a saved working in long relief,
and he's only locked one.

Speaker 1 (23:20):
Batter in those eight innings. So it's the Rockies and
the Cardinals.

Speaker 7 (23:23):
It's not the not the most imposing offenses of all time,
but I think he looks exactly as advertised and should
be seen as probably a Fantasy sp three going into
twenty twenty six.

Speaker 3 (23:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (23:34):
I just thought he pitched today with a similar line
to his first outings.

Speaker 3 (23:38):
So yeah, looking really good. Tom uh Yeah.

Speaker 5 (23:43):
I actually caught Chandler's start on Friday. He was hitting
one hundred. I know, Greg, you and I we were
chadding here. He definitely had the adrenaline going. So I'd
like to see what the radar says tonight, to see
if he can is that's something that he keeps Yeah, he.

Speaker 1 (23:57):
Hit it that seven times today.

Speaker 8 (23:59):
Oh yeah, nice, all.

Speaker 5 (24:02):
Right, and then we'll just see if it if you
can keep it as he starts too. I like the
change up. The change up is has got enough vertical
movement where it's like straight down. It's almost like a
sinker just with its movement. And I can't remember how
fast he was throwing it, but yeah, it's got some

(24:23):
good swing and miss. And I know people like his
slider too, so I think he's got three pitches, you know,
ready for the major leagues.

Speaker 3 (24:30):
I just want to float this out there.

Speaker 2 (24:32):
We've had a little bit of debate on Joan of
Tongue amongst our prospect Live guys. I know our pro
side guys, they don't love the fastball change up profiles,
and that's what Tong has been predominantly this season. But
he has shown in the past the building has been
a slider pretty well. I think last year we had
him great without fifty five or sixty slider. That's kind

(24:53):
of taking a step back this year. But what do
you guys think Tong is this year and what do
you think he could be if if you could maybe
elevate that slider back to where it was.

Speaker 8 (25:04):
I like the curveball.

Speaker 5 (25:06):
You know, if it doesn't get swing and miss, it's
most likely to get grounders, just with the amount of
movement he has on it, just like the over the
top twelve to six, and so pair that with the
fastball change up, I think he'll do well. And if
the slider's not there, he stills three pitches to go to.

Speaker 7 (25:25):
Yeah, I think it's definitely the case also of the
Mets are going to let him run the fastball change
up predominantly until it doesn't work. Like He's cruised through
every level of the minor leagues without really a hitch
this year and is the minor league leader in strikeouts.
So I think just like they did with Nolan McLean,
He's come up essentially at the perfect time. He's looked
like he hasn't missed a beat either. So I trust

(25:46):
what the Mets are doing, and I think they're pretty
content to let him keep his usage where it is
unless it's shown that he needs to make an adjustment,
and then he's going to get his first full big
league offseason to do that. Right, If he's going into
next year in twenty twenty six with the goal of
introducing a third breaking ball that really can compliment I
think if they have three or four months to work
on that, he could be a real monster next year.

Speaker 4 (26:06):
I like that thought.

Speaker 2 (26:07):
Bringing the player up so they can experience the major
leagues and make adjustments in the offseason.

Speaker 3 (26:11):
I think that's a good strategy. Taylor, any thoughts.

Speaker 6 (26:14):
Yeah, I mean agree with what both these guys are saying.
I really like Tong. I don't know, you know, if
he's going to be the ace that he's performing as
in the minors, but I feel like he's going to
give you a lot of strikeouts and ratios that won't
kill you, and I think that could happen as soon
as you know Friday, So we'll see awesome.

Speaker 3 (26:32):
The minor league movement guys will just quickly fly through this.

Speaker 2 (26:35):
Noah Schultz is activated, so we're going to see what
he looks like post injury. Here, Edward Florentino, Chris and
Venge and Cole Drake all to the al that effectively
would probably end their seasons unless they go to the
Arizona Fall League. I mean, of those guys, to Triple
A Walker Jenkins, that's a big time promotion there. He's
looked really good over the last few weeks. To double

(26:58):
A chen Way Linn of the car Cardinals, Caleb Lolmavida,
Louis de Leon and Josh hartl to Hya Dante Nori,
Caleb Bonnomer, who most of us have as a top
one hundred prospect at this point, Justin Gonzales, and Kayden Scarborough.
Kayden Scarborough has been a popule name around these parts
recently as well. And then to Single Life from the Complex,

(27:18):
Josh Owen's being curly Chased, Mobiley and Gavin Feene. So
Tom will start with you, maybe highlight one or two
names here that you're excited about.

Speaker 5 (27:29):
I couldn't believe Jenkins is twenty and at Triple A
I was I was going to shock to see that
I wrote about him this week and three up, three down,
and he's finally healthy, and I think this is who
he is. High average, major power and some speed.

Speaker 6 (27:46):
Awesome Taylor, Yeah, I've kind of fallen in love with
Caleb Bonomer. I didn't didn't really expect it, but the
more I look into him, every time I rank him,
I just keep moving him up and moving him up
and moving him up. And he's just having a fantasastic season.
I mean there's good contact ability, there's speed, there's you know,
developing power. I just think this is going to be

(28:07):
a really really good player long term.

Speaker 1 (28:09):
And Lucas, Yeah, one quick note on Carson Bench.

Speaker 7 (28:13):
I took him off Diamond di Plumbas this week because
I had the same exact thought you did of if
he's on the IL, he's probably going to be out
till early September and then he's going to have a
hard time working his way into the playoff picture for
New York. But they actually just activated in today, so
I think hopefully, hopefully he's able to finish August healthy,
and I do think he has an outside shot at
making the playoff roster if he continues hitting the way
he's hitting awesome.

Speaker 2 (28:35):
All right, what's going on all the Prospects Live. We
have not talked about our Dynasty League in a while. Tom,
you're the commissioner of that league, so we have several
members of our Prospects Live team in that league. We
have now reached the playoffs and it's getting interesting. So
I'll just kind of talk about some highlights here. So

(28:57):
I want to shout out Shamrocks, who is Who's a
seventy tier member for Prospects Live. He finished first in
the regular season, so great job, Taylor.

Speaker 3 (29:08):
You finished third in the league, so kudos to you.

Speaker 2 (29:12):
I finished ninth, but that's still qualified for the playoffs.
That was in the very bottom and Tom, you finished thirteenth.
Lucas you're not in, but we'll get you in very soon.
I beat Lucas, so we had to play in matches
and I was part of one of those.

Speaker 3 (29:30):
I actually defeated.

Speaker 2 (29:31):
Drew narrowly to move on, and Matt defeated Reese in
a matchup that was closely contested. And now I play
Shamrocks the first overall and I'm actually winning. We're doing
two week matchups, so I'm pretty excited about that. My
team's kind of turned it around a little bit, my
veteran lated team. I think I have the oldest team
in the whole league, so I'm doing pretty well. Taylor,

(29:54):
how are you doing in your quarter final matchup?

Speaker 6 (29:56):
It is a really close matchup right now. I'm going
up against Jim who's the Jacksonville Jimbo Shrimp. He's He's
up seventy five currently, but I have the tiebreaker, and
if I get one more win, you know, one more
pitcher win, I take the lead in this thing. So
it's very, very close. There's a couple of categories that
could be flipped by the end of the week, so

(30:17):
it's anybody's game at this point.

Speaker 3 (30:19):
Awesome.

Speaker 2 (30:20):
Any overriding thoughts on the league and how it's played out,
maybe Tom will ask you this question since you're not
in the playoffs.

Speaker 8 (30:27):
It's it's fun, you know what. We created this league.

Speaker 5 (30:30):
With contracts and salaries and stuff and inflation here, and
so we didn't see a lot of trades this year.

Speaker 8 (30:36):
I think we alto SAW two.

Speaker 5 (30:39):
And I anticipate more will happen down the road as
contract starts getting more expensive and the teams at the bottom.
Really've got to want to unload those and get younger
and get cheaper, so I think it'll be fun. I'm
definitely more active in the future.

Speaker 2 (30:57):
Awesome, All right, guys, we'll just high a couple of
things going on at the website. The Pro Scouting Team
just released their top one hundred, their end of season
top one hundred with a lot of movement. Connor Griffin
was the number one prospect, with Kevin McGonagall close behind.
I think we also had that on our fantasy list

(31:18):
if I'm not mistaken. Those are the top two players
as well, two exciting players that both just moved to
double A. So the future is bright in the minor
leagues for sure. You guys each released articles in the
last week. Do you have one player that you would
like to recommend to the public here.

Speaker 4 (31:38):
Taylor, Yeah, I want to call out Blake Burke.

Speaker 6 (31:41):
He's a guy who is a little bit more well
known than a lot of the guys that you know
I cover my article series. But he's kind of an
interesting prospect because coming out of the FYPS last year,
he was a guy who was pretty much power first
and a questionable hit tool, and this year he's been
more contact than power, but finally has seemed to figure

(32:02):
out how to lift and pull the ball, how to
get to his plus power and is really you know,
taking off because of it. So he's a guy that's
more of a shallowleague guy. But if he's out there
in your leagues of you know, two hundred plus prospects
or somewhere around there, he's definitely a guy a group
because he's he's a big up arrow right now.

Speaker 3 (32:19):
Awesome Lucas.

Speaker 7 (32:22):
Yeah, I think Nelson Ratta is probably the most underrated
prospect at Triple A right now. Our P Live plus
production system has him right up there with Max Clark
and Walker Jenkins. Both of those guys get scores of
one fifty eight and one fifty nine, and Radas also
at one fifty eight. He's probably only going to be
a contributor really in average OVP and steals in terms
of fantasy, but I think he's so strong in those

(32:46):
areas and his defense is so solid that he's going
to be like, essentially a better outfield version of Luis
Arias that actually steals bass. He's only twenty years old
in Triple A also, so if you do pick him
up in fantasy when he's only like fifteen percent owned
in fan tracks leagues, you might be getting a high
average and high steel contributor for the next decade.

Speaker 1 (33:03):
So definitely somebody to worth checking out.

Speaker 3 (33:06):
Awesome, and Tom, you already mentioned Walker Jenkins. Was there
another player that you wanted to shout out?

Speaker 8 (33:11):
Greg Am, I allowed to have a battle right now.

Speaker 5 (33:14):
I was actually going to talk about Rada and because
I wrote him in three Down this week, Lucas eighty
mile an hour exit velocity. I just and I know,
I know he's I know he's got he's fast, and
he plays good defense. But yeah, I mean, can you
take a zero in the power because that's what you

(33:34):
might get.

Speaker 7 (33:38):
I think you can. I think you can if everything
else is that good tamilor Simpsons made it work and
he's a much better.

Speaker 2 (33:48):
Yeah, that's the thing with Simpson is his defense is
not fantastic and that might keep him off the field
more often than somebody like Rada.

Speaker 3 (33:55):
So okay, well to the break, no, go ahead, go ahead, Locaus.

Speaker 7 (34:01):
I'm just gonna say the Angels Farm is also just
so barren, like Rod is going to get so much
run because they just truly have nobody else in contention
to be their center fielder for the next five years.

Speaker 5 (34:11):
I agree that might like drain your batting average because
I don't think he's going to be a three hundred
average guy.

Speaker 1 (34:18):
Oh he's running he's running ninety percent own contact. Yeah,
we'll see.

Speaker 6 (34:23):
Maybe he's more Victor Scott than Chandler Simpson.

Speaker 3 (34:29):
All right, save it for after the break. Guys, come on.
If you enjoy our podcast, please rate and review.

Speaker 2 (34:36):
We appreciate the support, and if you aren't all ready,
please consider subscribing to Prospects Love to take advantage of
the amazing tools and informative articles we offer daily and weekly. So, guys,
after the break, we're gonna start our player battles here,
so please be kind to each other. We like each other,
I hope we hope we like each other after we
do this exercise, so we'll be right back after these messages.

Speaker 3 (35:01):
All right, we are back.

Speaker 2 (35:02):
I am Greg, I'm joined by Taylor, Tom and Lucas,
and we're.

Speaker 3 (35:06):
Going to be doing some player battles.

Speaker 2 (35:08):
We're going to be discussing some prospects where one of
us is really high on them and one of us
is not so high on them where we're going to
kind of debate either side of the equation here and
maybe come to an understanding, but maybe not, so we'll
see how this goes.

Speaker 3 (35:24):
We've got eight players we're going to talk about, and we're.

Speaker 2 (35:27):
Each going to recommend two players that we like and
what we're going to be on the other side of
the two players were not quite as high on as well.
So we're going to start with Carson Bench, who we've
already talked about on this podcast. Lucas mentioned that he's
off the aisle now, had a really really.

Speaker 3 (35:43):
Good season, has cooled off.

Speaker 2 (35:45):
Just to touch in the last little bit, Lucas, you
had him ranked twentieth on your list. Now, I will
say that this list is from three to four weeks
ago when we released our top six hundred, so some
things have changed in the last little bit.

Speaker 3 (35:59):
And this is this is a snapshot.

Speaker 4 (36:00):
So we know with.

Speaker 2 (36:02):
Prospects, values change all the time, based on circumstance, based
on injury, based on performance, all of those things that
come into this conversation. So I'll say that to lead
off here. So, Lucas, you had him at twenty, Tom
you had him at sixty eight, So that's a forty
eight pick difference.

Speaker 3 (36:21):
But when you're talking twenty.

Speaker 2 (36:24):
Sixty eight, is that is a I would say a
fairly significant difference.

Speaker 3 (36:28):
So lucas you.

Speaker 2 (36:29):
Are up to that, go ahead and talk about your
one of your favorite prospects, Carson Bench.

Speaker 3 (36:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (36:34):
I'm a huge Carson Bench guy.

Speaker 7 (36:36):
He's got twelve home runs twenty steals on the year.
His total slash line if you count High A all
the way up through Triple A, is three oh six
four thirteen with a nine to seventeen ops. I just
think he's really underrated in just about every aspect of
his game. I see a twenty twenty threat as a
big leaguer who's going to continue to add game strength
because he's still transitioning out of pitching. This is his

(36:58):
first full time years at position player because he pitched
at Oklahoma State as well. So I think as he
continues to add hit or specific muscle kind of the
way we saw Jack Haglione do also this past offseason,
he really is going to be a twenty home run
threat for the Mets. He's seen time across all three
outfield positions, so he's a really versatile defender, even if
he might not necessarily be like a glove winner at

(37:20):
any of the three. He's also cut down his ground
ball percentage as he's moved up through the levels, and
so I think he's learning how to pull the ball
a little bit more, learning how to drive it a
little bit more. And he's also run four hundred ovp
at each stop as well, So I think you're getting
a really polished and mature played approach to go with
a really balanced all around hitter. And the Mets, as
much as they've been spending on their outfield lately, I

(37:41):
think are going to need an air apparent to Starling
Marte and Brandon Nemo.

Speaker 1 (37:44):
And I think benj is that guy.

Speaker 3 (37:46):
Awesome, Okay, Tom, your.

Speaker 1 (37:48):
Turn, all right.

Speaker 5 (37:50):
So I currently have Binge with graduations and updated this month.
He's in my upper forties, so I'm still behind Lucas.
For me, it's the kind of the guys in front
of him. I think he's in a tier right now,
similar to like Seal Stuart, guys that kind of do
a little bit of everything you can trust, high floor,

(38:12):
but he's behind kind of like the high ceiling guys.

Speaker 8 (38:16):
Just I think that's just the.

Speaker 5 (38:17):
Way I look at it, Like if these guys hit
if Spencer Jones like hits his you know, close to
the ceiling, Taylor, don't give me that look. If Colt Emerson,
Bryce Ray and er if these guys at their ceiling
like they're going to be better than Carson Binch, I get.
I think that's where I'm kind of comparing them. That's
like I can't put them in that next tier. But

(38:39):
I really like what he brings to the table and
kind of like sell Stuart. I think, you know, you
just plug him in and he'll like just chip away
at like every category.

Speaker 8 (38:49):
So he's in the forties. For me, I'm not.

Speaker 5 (38:51):
Sure he has like the upside to reach you know,
top twenty five status.

Speaker 3 (38:56):
Any other thoughts Lucas or Taylor.

Speaker 6 (38:58):
Even I like Carson Bene quite a bit. I like Tom,
I'm not.

Speaker 4 (39:06):
Quite as high as Lucas is.

Speaker 6 (39:07):
I think for me, he really kind of had this
huge hot stretch. I think in July where he was
like the hottest player in the miners, looked like, you know,
everything was coming together for him.

Speaker 4 (39:17):
He shot way up.

Speaker 6 (39:18):
But you look at what he's done sort of since then.
I think it like from August on, last time I
looked it was pretty poor slump that he was in
and then the injury now on top of it. I
think that sort of, you know, throw some cold water
on you know, at least hit the near term value,
but long term, I still think he's a really good
prospect there. But I'm probably a camera quite where I

(39:41):
have him, But I'm probably closer to Tom than Lucas.

Speaker 7 (39:44):
The last sort of pitch I'll make for having Bene
in that top twenty range is on our consensus list
right now. The twentieth ranked prospect is Luke Kishaw, and
I see Benge is basically that exact kind of offensive contributor.
Right He's a twenty twenty guy, solid Ratio's first defender underrated,
and I think we could look back in five years
and they're both performing pretty comparably awesome.

Speaker 2 (40:08):
All Right, We're gonna move on to a player Tom
has already mentioned, Spencer Jones. I think he might be
one of the hardest players to rank because the variance
is so vast.

Speaker 3 (40:21):
It's like the Grand Canyon of variants of what he
could be.

Speaker 2 (40:24):
He's like, he could be the best player in fantasy
if he hits all of his ceilings for all of
his tools, but he also could be a non major
league factor at all. So Tom, go ahead. You haven't
ranked at thirty four. Taylor will be discussing on the
other side of things. He had him ranked at seventy
five back in our August update.

Speaker 3 (40:41):
So go ahead, Tom.

Speaker 5 (40:42):
Yeah, it's it's been a crazy season for him.

Speaker 4 (40:46):
Ninety four mile an.

Speaker 5 (40:47):
Hour average ex velocity at triple A, he's max out
at one hundred and fourteen.

Speaker 8 (40:53):
He hits the ball to all fields.

Speaker 5 (40:55):
I don't think people talk about his stolen bases enough.
He's stolen twenty five and nine attempts this year, So
I'm like, I think he could be O'Neill Cruz this year.

Speaker 8 (41:08):
Like, if he gives you a low.

Speaker 5 (41:10):
Two twenty batting average and hits thirty home runs and
thirty soule bases, I think they'll.

Speaker 8 (41:15):
Take that right. And I think that's his floor.

Speaker 5 (41:21):
If he gets on a hot streak, I think you
can see the average creep up to like two fifty.
So I think you know, there's a wide range of outcomes.
But kind of like what you said, Greg, he he
brings like he brings things to the table with his
power and speed, and if the average isn't there When
he does make contact, the ball's going far.

Speaker 3 (41:42):
Yeah, Okay, Taylor, your turn.

Speaker 6 (41:45):
I ironically, I think you know you mentioned the article
series we had before the player battles. I think I
was on the other side of the Spencer Jones player
battle last year. So this side, I'm the detractor here,
and you know, I like Spencer Joe's a lot. He
has some of the highest upside of any player in
the minors, but he has one big downside, and that's
his contact. And you look at the stat cast from

(42:07):
Triple A thirteenth percentile chase rate, second percentile with rate,
second percentile zone contact rate, eighth percentile k rate, you know,
and he doesn't even make up with it for it
with the walks either. He's got just a twenty fifth
percentile walk rate. He hasn't had a strikeout rate under
thirty percent or a contact rate over sixty five percent
since twenty twenty three. And it's not like he's super young.

(42:30):
He's already twenty four years old. And I think you know,
he looked like he was again like pounding down the
door of the majors, having you know, one of the
hottest months of anybody in July. He had eleven home
runs in July. Well in August, he's got a thirty
six WRC plus he's hitting one sixty five five twenty
one ops with a thirty six point three percent strikeout rate.

(42:51):
He hasn't figured it out yet. And this is a
guy who you know, it's not for lack of trying.
He constantly makes adjustments. He's constantly tinkering, constantly trying to
get better, to figure out a way to maximize his tools.
But the Hittel just isn't there. So in terms of upside,
I think he's got all the upside in the world,
but he's got major, major risk and because of that,
you know, I'm not quite as high on Tom. I

(43:13):
will say, though, I think I moved about twenty spots
up in my latest rankings, so I'm getting closer to Tom,
but I'm not quite there yet.

Speaker 2 (43:21):
Tom many rebuttals or Lucas. Any thoughts on Spencer Jones.

Speaker 5 (43:24):
Yeah, So he he actually was a pitcher too at
Vanderbilt and sustain an injury and he really didn't get
going with the bad I think until his junior year.
So you know, we could be looking at a guy
that has been a full time hitter for the past
four or five years, so even though he's twenty four,
he's still kind of new to not pitching and just

(43:46):
focusing on this again with a longer limbs. How big
he is, you know, it just might take him a
little longer, But I think things will click.

Speaker 1 (43:56):
Lucas Yankees fan, I knew I was gonna get tapped
in for this.

Speaker 7 (44:02):
I do like Spencer Jones' upside, but if I'm giving
my honest Yankees fan opinion, I would rather resign Bellinger
and trade Spencer Jones in the offseason. I just think
for a team that's going to be as persistently competitive
as the Yankees try to be, we don't have time
for him to figure it out at the major league
level over the course of the next four years. If
Spencer Jones was a Colorado Rocky, he'd be one of

(44:24):
the coolest fantasy potential prospects in the world. But because
he's going to have to try to break into a
really competitive outfield and hit right away, I just don't
know if he's built for that.

Speaker 2 (44:33):
Does it say anything that he has not been traded
by the Yankees?

Speaker 3 (44:36):
What is that town? Does that tell us anything. I
don't know.

Speaker 7 (44:41):
Cashman wasn't really looking to move anybody I think in
that sort of top pile like Schitler in Lagrange and Lombard.

Speaker 1 (44:48):
I think.

Speaker 7 (44:50):
The rumor of the ridiculous rumor was that they were
only going to move him for somebody like a Paul Skins,
and I don't think that's true. I think he certainly
could be moved in a deal that makes sense, that's
a little lower cost. But I think Cashman has shown
historically that he's much more inclined to move big name
prospects in the winter than his is in the summer.
So I think if he's a Yankee in spring training
twenty twenty six, that's going to be a huge endorsement

(45:12):
from the organization.

Speaker 1 (45:13):
And if he's not, I would not be surprised.

Speaker 2 (45:16):
Awesome, Okay, We're going to move on to another prospect
in the American Negeese, Theo Gillen of the Rays. Tom
and myself will be debating this one. Tom, you haven't
ranked You had him ranked at twenty seven, and I
haven't ranked outside the top one hundred at one oh eight,

(45:36):
and I thought I had moved him up, but I
actually haven't so I have him kind of in the
same range at this point.

Speaker 3 (45:41):
I'm not sure if you've moved him at all, Tom,
but you can.

Speaker 2 (45:44):
Go ahead lead it off and tell the folks why
you love Field Gillen so much.

Speaker 5 (45:47):
All Right, he gets a little bit of a bump
down recently, but I still have him way higher than
you do. I really like the discovering report that we
had on him, plus raw power fifty five hit potential,
and Tyler Jennings said that that kind of profile is
like finding a needle and haystack. He's also an above

(46:09):
average runner, so this year he's got five hour runs
and thirty six dolen bases. He's only been caught three times.
He dealt with a lot of injuries in high school
and I think that is what kind of held him back.

Speaker 8 (46:21):
But the reports were really good.

Speaker 5 (46:22):
On him, and I like what he's been doing so far.
I'm probably ahead of my skis and that's why I
did bump him down into the forty five's.

Speaker 8 (46:31):
But yeah, I like THEO.

Speaker 2 (46:35):
Yeah, I like the athleticism, I like the player, and
I think he'll probably move up for me at some point.
But for me, I just need to see some actualized
power before I bump him into the top one hundred conversation. Obviously,
he's still nineteen years old, so there's definitely a ton
of time for him to continue to grow into his
body a little bit.

Speaker 3 (46:57):
But I just haven't seen that power.

Speaker 2 (46:58):
His ISO is one thirty eight and three hundred and
twenty four played appearances, forty seven of his sixty five
hits or singles this season. He has good contact rates,
but he has a very passive approach. He only has
a thirty five percent swing rate, so I think he
has some work to do there as well.

Speaker 3 (47:15):
With the plate approach and how aggressive he is.

Speaker 2 (47:18):
I think he needs to be more aggressive to do
some damage. And the rays. The rays are a tough
one when it comes to prospects. We know like Cam
and Arrow and Carson Williams are now with the big
league club, but they love to platoon. They toy around
with their prospects a little bit. They've not I mean,
other than those two names, I can't think of too

(47:40):
many other guys that they've really developed from their milding
system on the hitting side of things, that have really
broken out and become like starting, starting players that they
haven't traded away.

Speaker 3 (47:50):
I guess so that I have a little apprehension around that.

Speaker 2 (47:54):
It's kind of like the Dodgers a little bit, where
you worry about their prospects in what their future might be.

Speaker 3 (48:01):
So there's my apprehension a little bit. Again. I like
the player, I just definitely not as high as you are. Tom.

Speaker 2 (48:08):
Any of the other guys have any thoughts or taught
me have a rebuttal, go ahead, anybody, I'll throw.

Speaker 4 (48:18):
I'll come out out there. I really like theo gillan.

Speaker 6 (48:20):
I have him at forty eight in my rankings, so
not too far off where Tom is moving him to.

Speaker 4 (48:26):
You know.

Speaker 6 (48:27):
To Tom's point, it's he's already showing the contact ability,
he's already showing the speed. If there's you know, raw
power in there, I think that'll come eventually. And to
your point, Greg, I think it's just a matter of
changing his approach and just being more aggressive. I think
once he does that, we're gonna see more of the power.
And he's only still a teenager, so I'm going to
give him time. And I think you're potentially looking at

(48:49):
a five tool player here. I get the raise concern,
but on top of that, he is a left handed hitter,
so at least if he does get platoon, at least
he'll be getting the good side of the platoon.

Speaker 2 (49:00):
Valid points for sure. All Right, we're gonna move on
to Johnny Farmelo of the Mariners.

Speaker 3 (49:06):
I am the high guy. I had him at twenty nine,
or had him at twenty nine.

Speaker 2 (49:10):
Lucas had him at one oh three on the other
side of things, So I'll start off with I think
I've always been the high guy on Johnny Farmelo in
our group. So definitely health has been the concern with him.
He's not been on the field very often. He's played
just sixty seven games in the last two seasons, so
I'm really just banking on the tools and the athleticism here,

(49:33):
which is off the charts in my mind. He had
eighteen steals in forty two games last season. He does
have zero steals this season in twenty one games, but
I think that's simply a product of him coming back
from his ACL injury last year and now the most
recent injury that he is coming back from or has
just come back from, as a rib injury. So I

(49:54):
feel like he's kind of playing it a little bit safe,
and maybe he has been given a red light from
the marriers. Just not to take it easy on the
base path for this point, just kind of get through
the season with good health. But we know he has
borderline double plus B. We know he's an elite athlete.
He played center fields, he's going to be a center fielder.

(50:16):
And although he has just nine home runs as a pro,
he does damage when he makes contact. So last season
his ISA was one fifty seven. This season is two
seventy two and his ex Wulbacon so his expected weighted
on base on contact is five thirteen. So when he
makes contact, he does damage. I know it's a small.

Speaker 3 (50:38):
Sample, but he I mean, he's had some long home runs.

Speaker 2 (50:42):
I don't have any examples of that, but I know
I've seen a posts of some of his home runs.
They're like four to fifty plus shots. His approach is solid.
He's had double digit walk rates bol seasons. Seventy eight
percent contact rate last year, around seventy four this year,
so it's dropped a little bit, not raids, but not bad.
He does chase a little bit more than you would

(51:04):
like at thirty four percent, but I think with continued
reps he'll continue to improve with that. So again I'm
banking on athleticism here. I like the I love that
about players. I love with the athletic because they can
make adjustments quicker than I less athletic players. So those
are my thoughts on Farmelo Lucas.

Speaker 1 (51:22):
Go ahead, Yeah, I actually agree with your overall read.

Speaker 7 (51:27):
I think the lack of steals this year is definitely
the result of the twenty twenty four ACL surgery. I
think my biggest concern with him is I'm actually more
of a believer in the power than the run to
a long term. Because of this, I think he might
be one of those players that kind of ends up
putting on a little more weight in his lower half,
pivoting to trying to be a guy who drives the

(51:47):
ball a lot more and focuses on becoming a thirty
home run bat. And I think that raw power is
in there, but that despite having the athleticism, that kind
of sort of gameplay or approach shift is going to
have a lot of consequences for a player who's already
showing a weaker hit tool than I wanted to see
from him. So I think the reason I have him
just outside the top one hundred is I was really

(52:09):
thinking about where to rank one of my guys, Aiden Smith,
who's showing a similarly weak hit tool, still has the
plus speed and still has the power projection, And I
think I have Smith in the nineties sort of like
just ahead of Farmelow, so I would kind of keep
them in about the same area because I'm hoping that
both of them have really strong twenty twenty six is
with off season adjustments and with health. I mean, Farmelo

(52:30):
is a top thirty talent, right, so I think this
is a player that is not a bad by low
in Dynasty, even though I think he's outside the top
one hundred for me.

Speaker 2 (52:38):
Still Taylor and Tom any thoughts on Farmelo before we move.

Speaker 8 (52:42):
On, Yeah, Greg, I'm more on your side. I think
this is kind of a.

Speaker 5 (52:49):
Year where he's not showing at all because of coming
off that injury. I think next year we'll really see
what he could put together. And I'm with you, lucause
I think he's got the power and he showed the
speed last year, so I think next year it'll be
on display. He's got a good bad at ball profile
with the amount of line drives in fly balls he

(53:10):
hits where he can get to that power and he's
a strong dude. He looks like he looks like a ballplayer, right.
He's chiseled. So even if he does it at some weight,
I don't think it's I think it's gonna be like
lean muscle.

Speaker 8 (53:23):
I think he's going to be a burner on the
base pats.

Speaker 2 (53:27):
Okay, we're going to move on to Justinson and Garcia.
The red Sox currently the Major leagues. Taylor the high
man at thirty four, and I was the low guy
at ninety two, So Taylor with the floor is yours.

Speaker 6 (53:40):
Yeah, I gotta be honest, I just kind of redid
my rankings. I probably dropped him about ten spots. And
it's not because I did like him any less. I
think it's it's just I got a little out over
my skis on him. But I do still really like
Yosinton Garcia. You know, we got to remember this is
a guy who started last year twenty twenty four in
single ay and is now in the majors. So he's
had a really fast progression through the minor leagues and

(54:05):
he's basically hit, you know, fantastic at every level. So
one fifty WRC plus and single A last year one
seventy five and high A finished the year with a
cup of coffee in double A one hundred WRC plus
this year, one hundred and seventeen in double A to
start the year, and then one forty in triple A,
and like I mentioned, now up to the major So
you know, you look at sort of what he's done

(54:26):
in triple A, the power has really come on. The
contact is really kind of the worry for what he
did in triple A. But you look at what he
did to start the year in double A. Eighty point
five percent contact rate, thirteen percent walk rate, just a
twenty one percent k rate. And you know, while again
the contact fell off quite a bit in triple A,
the power came along with it. And he's been particularly

(54:47):
hot lately, so in triple A since August first, a
one sixty nine WRC plus three thirty eight average over
one thousand oh ps. And this is a guy who's
had two straight years of ISO's over two hundred of
contact rates in the mid seventies, twenty plus home runs.
And this is while being you know, kind of aggressively
promoted again all the way to the big leagues at

(55:09):
twenty two years old. It's also worth remembering that he's
a pretty good defender. He's played mostly center field this year.
Our scouts gave him a really good scouting report this offseason.
Fifty five hit, fifty five power, fifty run. Has made
it up to the majors. Like I mentioned a few times,
it's only been four games, but he's actually only had
six played appearances. In those four games, he's mostly been

(55:30):
a reserve role of kind of like a pinch hitter,
late game defensive replacement. So he's gotten into I believe,
you know, four games, but he's really only started like
one full game so far, and a big part of
it is just a very crowded situation there in Boston.
I think part of the reason he's up is that
Boston put him on the forty man at the beginning
of the year, which just kind of shows you how

(55:51):
much they believe in him, and so that's why they're
kind of giving him a sort of.

Speaker 4 (55:55):
Slow exposure to the big leagues there.

Speaker 6 (55:57):
But since and Garcia is a guy who we've seen
the power, we've seen the contact ability, we haven't always
seen it at the same time. But I believe that
he'll eventually put the two together once he gets settled
at a level, and I think he's going to be
a really good major league player and a really good
fans player.

Speaker 3 (56:12):
Awesome.

Speaker 2 (56:14):
I'll preface my comments by saying that I do like
the bat here he has. He has really good power,
pretty good approach, and he's really impressed me with how
he's adjusted with all these promotions.

Speaker 3 (56:25):
He was very very good in Triple A. He has
a one ten.

Speaker 2 (56:29):
He had a one ten max ev at one O
six ninety in Triple A and seventy six percent contact rates,
So all very good numbers across the board. For me,
I don't believe the speed is going to translate to
the big league. He's probably an average runner. He had
seventeen stool bases last year. He's down a sixth this year.

(56:50):
It could be just moving up in adjustments, but I
think it's going to continue to trend downwards that way.
Proximity definitely does provide value as far as ranking him,
but so does opportunity and playing time, and right now,
as you mentioned Taylor, there isn't a spot for him
when everybody's healthy. The Red Socks are going to have
to do some moving and shaking this offseason to create

(57:12):
room for all of their talent, but I think once
that happens, he'll probably have a at least a four
hundred plus that bad role, but I think for him
to be a great fantasy asset, and when you rank
somebody inside the top fifty, I think they need to
really warrant that to be a really great hitter. He's

(57:32):
got a hit. He's got a hit and the powers there,
but he's got a hit. And I think I think he's.

Speaker 3 (57:38):
Long term probably a corner outfielder.

Speaker 2 (57:40):
He has played mostly center field this year, but I
think he's probably more long term a corner outfielder. So
that accentuates the bad either more. He's got to hit
a little bit more to make that worth it. So
that's why I have him ranked in the back half
of the top one hundred. Again, I'm not down on
the player, but I'm just not quite as high as Tailor.
So and if you other have any thoughts on Garcia,

(58:04):
all right, we.

Speaker 3 (58:05):
Will move on to a run Escobar.

Speaker 2 (58:07):
Taylor is the high man at forty eight, Lucas at
one nine, So Taylor go ahead.

Speaker 6 (58:13):
Yeah, this is another one that I'm I'm moving down
my rankings. You know, he's cooled off quite a bit
from a hot start. So you know, he got off
to one thousand o ps in April, eight hundred in May,
and then it's dropped down to six hundred in June.
Has been you know, kind of in those six hundred since.
And I wonder if there's an injury that happened at

(58:34):
some point in June, because you look at the sort
of you know, games played in June. He had a
lot lot of you know, multiple days off in a row,
had his fewest played appearances any month in June, and
that's really where the sort of downturn took place there.
And even with that, you look at the data that
he put up in single a there, and I think

(58:54):
that ran through I think the beginning of July he
was eightieth percentile in ninetieth percentile exit velocity. Really all
of his quality of contract metrics were great. He was
eighty fifth percent TALENTD zone contact rate, So it really
was a combination of very good contact and very good
quality of contact. And the issues, as far as I

(59:14):
can tell, with the power falling off have come from
he just kind of stopped pulling the ball as much.
He's hitting it way more to the opposite field because
he's hitting quite a few fly balls. It's you know,
they're becoming outs. He has a home run to fly
ball rate of three point four percent, which is not sustainable.
Like that's not going to continue. So he's going to
get into more power. And it's kind of crazy because

(59:36):
it's not just the home runs that have fallen off.
He has one double since being promoted to High A
on July eighth, and he has zero doubles since July tenth.
That's not normal like that. There's something weird going on
there for a player with his kind of power. I mean,
he had a one to ten point eight max EV
in single A. So this is a guy who has

(59:57):
the power that.

Speaker 4 (59:57):
Just doesn't disappear.

Speaker 6 (01:00:00):
So I do think it might be an injury, It
might just be bad luck, it might be a weird approach.
But the power is going to come back.

Speaker 4 (01:00:07):
You know.

Speaker 6 (01:00:07):
Even with the power falling off, he's got a one
oh four WRC plus in HIA as a twenty year old,
still really good contact and speed. I do think the
power is going to come around. It's definitely there in
the tank. We've seen that in the data, and I
think that, you know, while his stock is is definitely
lowering right now, I think it's more of a buying
opportunity than anything.

Speaker 7 (01:00:28):
Okay, Lucas Tailor made the first part of my case
for me with the whole declanning ops chart.

Speaker 1 (01:00:34):
That was great. That was a word for word what
I had. That was awesome.

Speaker 7 (01:00:38):
The other thing with Escobar that worries me, I think
is the defensive home Obviously we're thinking about this from
a fantasy perspective, but he's listed everywhere as a third baseman,
which is not true at all. He has ninety four
starts at second and only three at third this year,
so the Phillies have basically exclusively played him at second.
And to be a fantasy relevant second basement you either
have to be probably a twenty home run contributor or

(01:01:00):
hit for really high average, and I'm not sold that
he's going to do either.

Speaker 1 (01:01:05):
Of those things long term.

Speaker 7 (01:01:07):
I think the sound contact rate has looked solid in
high but not nearly what it was in loway, and
I think he's gonna be a lot of pressure on
him to be at least a league average defender, and
I don't know that he's going to do that either.
He has fourteen errors in those ninety seven games he's
played at second, so I think just outside the top
one hundred. I still feel comfortable with him there. I

(01:01:29):
don't think he certainly has the potential to be like
a top fifty, top sixtyed prospect this time next year.

Speaker 1 (01:01:34):
But he just has to show me a lot more.

Speaker 7 (01:01:36):
He has to have a beginning of the season next
year that kind of matches his beginning of the season
this year, and I think if he does, he'll be
right back where Taylor has him.

Speaker 2 (01:01:46):
Okay, we're going to move on to a couple of
arms to kind of conclude our conversation here.

Speaker 3 (01:01:51):
So Desaan Hill is the first one.

Speaker 2 (01:01:54):
Lucas, you were the high guy at seventy inside your
top one hundred, and Taylor had him at one seventy six,
So Lucas, you can start with your thoughts on him.

Speaker 7 (01:02:03):
Yeah, I'm huge on Desson Hill. I think it's actually
dayson Hill. I'm trying to remember he actually told me.
I tweeted at him, I think pre draft a couple
of years ago, and he reminded me that it's dayson Hill.
So my fault on that dayson Hill's just nineteen years old.
Plenty of physical projection left. The Twins took him sixty
ninth overall last year. He's already up to high A.
He has a three point twenty four ERA on the

(01:02:24):
year with a three point five to two FIP.

Speaker 1 (01:02:26):
So pretty well supported.

Speaker 7 (01:02:29):
And even though the whip is a little high and
he's struggled with walks, the Twins have been pretty cautious
with his innings. He's only up to about fifty eight
point one across eighteen starts, so I think they're really
kind of slow playing him in a lot of respects
and what I expect from him, kind of like we
had the conversation about other other prospects taking physical leaps
in the offseason are making big adjustments. I think he's

(01:02:49):
going to put on significant muscle over the next couple
of off seasons. Right now, he's six' five one sixty five,
listed so. TRUE i think we called him a string
bean in our pro report of him going into the.
Year SO i think if he puts on a little
bit of way continues to sad, muscle his fastball's already
sitting around ninety five ninety, six and SO i think
he could be flirting with triple digits down the road

(01:03:09):
and from the left. Side that's just this is kind
of exactly the Package i'm looking for at a pitching,
prospect and since he's so, YOUNG i think there's a
lot of room for him to keep moving up in
the rankings as.

Speaker 3 (01:03:18):
Well, Awesome, Okay, taylor your.

Speaker 6 (01:03:20):
Turn, yeah this one hurts me BECAUSE i was really
big on Dess On hill at the beginning of this,
year big fan of his.

Speaker 4 (01:03:28):
Stuff BUT.

Speaker 6 (01:03:31):
I think it's kind of the tail of two, seasons.
Right you look at the overall, performance the era looks,
great you. Know you you look at the, stuff it looks.
Great but you look at the performance at his last
ten starts Since june. Fourteenth you, know one THING i
really like to look, at particularly in the low minors,
prospects is strike out minus walk. RATE i think it's
a really important stat when, evaluating at least from a statistical,
standpoint minor league. Pitchers his strike out minus walk rate

(01:03:54):
Since june fourteenth is five point seven, percent.

Speaker 4 (01:03:57):
Which is ridiculously.

Speaker 6 (01:03:59):
Bad like, that that's, Horrible and that's because he has
a twenty two point three percent strikeout rate in a
sixteen point six percent walk rate in that time he's
got a four point four to SIX era and a
one point six y nine, whip so he's giving up
tons of, hits he's giving up tons of. Walks he's
not striking out a, ton and the fact is he's
not you, know you mentioned, It. Lucas he's not going

(01:04:19):
deep into games. Either so in that STRETCH i mentioned
the last ten, starts he's managed to pitch four more
innings just twice in those ten, starts so he's really
going you, know two to three inning. Stints he's walking the.
World he's not striking out a. Lot the stuff is
there for, sure but he's also a teenage arm that throws,
hard that's super, skinny and if he doesn't put on that,

(01:04:40):
muscle and even if he, does there's major injury risk.
There so you you stack the risk on the recent poor,
performance the fact that you know it's poor performance in short.
Stints that's WHY i can't push him up any higher
than top two.

Speaker 2 (01:04:55):
Hundred any other, Thoughts lucas or tom On.

Speaker 5 (01:04:59):
Hill, yeah the kind of the narrative on him has
changed for, me like half of this, season WHEN i
noticed they weren't stretching him out and he was starting
to pile up the, Walk So i'm now more Towards.
Taylor taylor's, side but he said it, too like the
stuff is, there.

Speaker 8 (01:05:18):
We just haven't seen the.

Speaker 5 (01:05:19):
Consistency and, yeah you wonder just being a, lefty it
always seems like the hard throwing lefties have a harder
time with the. Command so, Yeah i've kind of pulled
back on.

Speaker 7 (01:05:33):
Him the one final Thing i'd, add AND i agree
with the command. CONCERNS i also agree with the stuff.
Noticings it's just that his third, pitch the change, up
was supposed to be a distant third pitch coming into the,
year and it really has flashed plus even amidst the
command concerns this, Year SO i think he's going to
be able to locate it backside the right.

Speaker 1 (01:05:54):
Handers and if he is.

Speaker 7 (01:05:56):
The kind of like prototypical three pace lefty and all
three offerings or, PLUS i think the command concerns are
something that you're going to live with as he continues
to get, older a, matures.

Speaker 2 (01:06:06):
So still lots of time for him. Too he's, Young
so all, right our final. Player AND i can't Believe
i'm debating A cubs fan on this, one And i'm
the eye. Guy he ACTUALLY i noticed he shares the
birthday with, me and he's he pitched for The university Of.

Speaker 3 (01:06:21):
Arkansas so maybe that's WHY i like him so. MUCH
i don't.

Speaker 2 (01:06:23):
Know But Jackson wiggins The, CUBS i was the high
guy at fifty, Three tom the low guy at one thirty,
Five So i'll start.

Speaker 3 (01:06:32):
Here i'm excited about this.

Speaker 2 (01:06:34):
One so similar To, farmelo my rank and comes more
from the.

Speaker 3 (01:06:41):
Tools THAT i see versus.

Speaker 2 (01:06:42):
Results the results have been, good BUT i really like
WHAT i see as far as his his pitch mix
and his his metrics and things like. That So, wiggins
he was a high, strikeout high walk arm In. Arkansas
he UNDERWENT tj in his draft here in twenty twenty.
Three The cubs drafted him in the second. Round they
sat the potential in. Him he had a pretty decent

(01:07:06):
first year of The pro for thirty SEVEN, ra but
it was a three eighty x fit twenty eight percent strikeout.
RATE i did have a fourteen percent walk, Rate so
the walks carried on into his first pro year that
was in sixty. Innings this is and he's really turned
it up several. Notches so all of his pitches are playing,
Up he's raised his k rate to thirty one, percent
dropped his walk right down to eleven and a half,

(01:07:27):
percent still still, high but much. Improved his strike throwing
has went from fifty nine percent to sixty two. PERCENT
i think it was a little bit higher mid. Season
it's was dropped a little bit from. There it's an,
improvement not really where you want to. Be you want
with an arm like, this you probably want to be
closer to sixty five. Percent but an improvement is good

(01:07:47):
And i'll take. It but his stuff within eleven percent walk,
RATE i think he can be a starting pitcher at the.

Speaker 3 (01:07:53):
Highest LEVEL i.

Speaker 2 (01:07:55):
Have there's a tweet From lansberzowski three days. Ago he
loves he Loves. Wiggins he's a cub skyworks For. Marquis
but his fastball is among the best.

Speaker 1 (01:08:08):
In the minor.

Speaker 2 (01:08:10):
Leagues he Has peyton totally as the number one, fastball
AND i think he has wigged. Seconds so here are
the metrics on. It ninety seven miles an, hour nineteen
inches of vert with eleven inches arm side from a
six to five release. Point there are no comps in
the major leagues among starting pitchers even close to this

(01:08:30):
realm of. Fastball even if you take off an inch
and a half of vert arm, side there's still no.

Speaker 3 (01:08:36):
Comparison so this is a unicorn.

Speaker 2 (01:08:38):
Fastball so when you start with that with a, pitcher
you have a great foundation to start. With we gave
him a sixty great on his fastball the. PRESEASON i
think it's closer to seventy now based on those. Metrics
he also has a plus slider and an average and
maybe slightly above average change.

Speaker 3 (01:08:58):
Out it's, inconsistent BUT i love the fastball AND i
love the potential of this.

Speaker 2 (01:09:04):
Arm, Again i'm ranking based on tools and maybe not
performance quite as much. Yet but he's had a great.
Season they shut him down kind of midway through the,
year and he just through, AGAIN i think early this
week and kind of a three inning kind of stretch
that got him back going again a little. Bit BUT
i think he has top of the rotation outside just
based on his.

Speaker 3 (01:09:23):
Tools So, tom you can go, now all.

Speaker 8 (01:09:27):
Right i'll try to keep the shorter because it's school and.

Speaker 4 (01:09:30):
NIGHT i Like.

Speaker 5 (01:09:32):
Wiggins he's outside my top, hundred And i'm with you
with the. FASTBALL i was actually gonna say the fastball.

Speaker 8 (01:09:39):
Is probably more of a.

Speaker 5 (01:09:40):
Seventy but from What i've, seen what has me kind
of questioning him is that he every pitch starts at
the top of the zone and the fastball is like.
Unhittable when it's up, there the slider breaks, down and
the changeup obviously breaks. Down the slider has more more
break than the change Of he's it almost seems like

(01:10:02):
he the catcher's setting up in the same spot every single.
Time he's not working the different parts of the. Zone
it seems like on. Purpose and this is just from
What i've. Seen so after watching minor league pictures for
the past couple of, Years i've noticed that pictures with
mid nineties fastballs can get away with the letter, high

(01:10:26):
but if it goes anywhere else in the, zone it's very.
Hittable i'm not saying that is the case With, wiggins
BUT i would feel more comfortable and rank him higher
IF i saw him work different parts of the zone more.

Speaker 2 (01:10:38):
So my comment with, that AS i know a lot
of teams have went through out of catcher set up
in the middle of the plate and let your pitches
move and for arms Like, WIGGINS i KNOW i heard
in an interview With Brody hopkins earlier this week that
The Rays i've been doing that with, him and because
he has so much movement to the left and to

(01:10:59):
the right and also the ride on his, fastball he's
been successful and he's thrown more strikes because he's aiming
for the center of the play instead of aiming for
the shadow zones or just off the. Edges SO i
think that might be what The cubs are doing, here
and that might might have been the strategy with him
with an arm as talented as, him as just aim
for the. Center and maybe his command isn't, great but

(01:11:20):
he's going to throw more strikes with that type of
a strategy than trying to hit a catcher's glove on the.

Speaker 3 (01:11:26):
Edge SO i.

Speaker 2 (01:11:27):
Can't stay for certain whether that's the, case but that
would be when you bring that.

Speaker 3 (01:11:31):
Up that's what it makes me think.

Speaker 2 (01:11:32):
OF i like that Strategy for an arm like him
who has higher walk, RATES i.

Speaker 3 (01:11:38):
Think he'd be more successful in that type of.

Speaker 2 (01:11:41):
Strategy so any thoughts On wiggins before we close Out
taylor Or Lucas for.

Speaker 6 (01:11:46):
Me i'm Just i'm really confused on what The cubs
are doing with him because he's had two outings Since,
june like Late. June he basically got a month off
Between june And, july pitched one outing In, july got
another month, off and pitched out In. August and to,
me LIKE i get wanting to limit the innings and,
everything but to, me that just creates more opportunities for.
Injury if you're like having a picture like you, know ramp,

(01:12:09):
down ramp, up ramp, down ramp, up like that's where
the injuries most are most likely happened in my, mind
AND i really don't understand this. STRATEGY i know they've
said there's no, injury that this is like a planned
inating's management, thing but it makes no sense to.

Speaker 2 (01:12:23):
Me, YEAH i mean they obviously have information that we
don't have on wear and tear and those types of,
things AND i think we're only going to see more of.
THAT i, know like we see a lot of the
college arms wearing those armbands that kind of test stress
and things like, that AND i think we're gonna start.

Speaker 3 (01:12:38):
To see that in the major leagues come going.

Speaker 2 (01:12:40):
Forward but it's a good, Point, taylor like when pitches
are ramping down ramping up, again it can only provide
more stress on the. Arm BUT i mean majorly teams
know what they're, doing so again we don't have all the,
information so it's.

Speaker 3 (01:12:56):
Interesting, nonetheless all, right, guys we got to our eight.
Players any any closing thoughts on this?

Speaker 2 (01:13:03):
Exercise did did anybody sway anybody else's mind on any
of these?

Speaker 3 (01:13:07):
GUYS i know we were kind to each, other So
i'm appreciative of. That any of you guys have any closing?

Speaker 5 (01:13:14):
THOUGHTS i Saw taylor ordering A Spencer Jones Jersey online
got Me.

Speaker 4 (01:13:25):
NO i think for, ME i love This.

Speaker 6 (01:13:26):
ACTUALLY i think it's a good exercise as long as it's,
done you, know, respectfully AND i think we definitely did.
THAT i think the one that that sort of moved
me the most was Was lucas on Arun. ESCOBAR i,
MEAN i definitely feel like the points he made about
the defense is not really SOMETHING i have probably put
as much consideration in AS i should, have but that
is a very valid concern and something that really has

(01:13:48):
kind of inspired me to move them down even more
in my.

Speaker 7 (01:13:50):
Rankings so, yeah for, ME i think the one That
i've moved the most on Is. FARMELO i think it's
really tough to make a case and that kind of,
athlete like it's really really hard to not see the
potential on both sides or in terms of the power
and the, Speed AND i think it's going to be
tough for him to settle into a rhythm at the

(01:14:11):
plate given the amount of injuries that he's. Had so
if he has a fully healthy season next, YEAR i
think the contact skills will bounce back big.

Speaker 2 (01:14:17):
TIME i think it's where we're really fortunate as being
part Of Prospects, live where we have that scouting side
of things and we hear our pro side guys talking
about these players and a kind of a little bit
of a different light than we think about it in
a fantasy lens because it does translate into. Fantasy all
these skills and talents and tools translated into the fantasy.

(01:14:39):
Game so having the balance of the, BOLTH i think
has been good for each of us to hear those.
Things and when you bring Up fermelo like, THAT i
think he's a perfect example of a guy that has
tools and just hasn't really realized it yet because he
has not been on the. Field so, again he's a
tough guy of rank for, sure because we just haven't
seen a ton of.

Speaker 3 (01:14:57):
Him but it's.

Speaker 2 (01:14:58):
Loud what everything he can do on the field as,
loud And i've Heard i've heard Like Connor griffin, type
not that he's going to Be Connor, griffin but the
skill set is similar and all the things he can
do on the.

Speaker 3 (01:15:09):
Field so it's interesting conversation to. Have but any other closing.

Speaker 1 (01:15:16):
Thoughts one last note On.

Speaker 7 (01:15:18):
FARMELO i just REALIZED i should have mentioned this with
Dayson hill as, Well BUT i try to sometimes reframe
the performance of these prep guys as if they had
gone to. College so like If Dayson hill was doing
what he's doing now At vanderbilt Or Wake, FOREST i
think he's getting a first round buzz in his draft.
Year and If farmelo was splashing the kind of tools
he's had but maybe had to red shirt as like
a sophomore at A clemson or A, UVA i think

(01:15:40):
we would still be talking about him as a first round.
Talent SO i think it's worth remembering that these guys
are nineteen and twenty years.

Speaker 3 (01:15:45):
Old valid valid.

Speaker 2 (01:15:48):
Point all, right, guys thanks for doing, This thanks for
coming together and running through this.

Speaker 3 (01:15:54):
EXERCISE i think it was. Productive.

Speaker 2 (01:15:57):
