Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hello everybody, and welcome back to the on Deck Podcast.
And today we're doing way too early predictions for twenty
twenty six. While twenty twenty five is not yet over,
we're gonna start looking ahead to next year. Maybe some
teams have flamed out a little early this year, had
some bad injury luck, and we're gonna talk about maybe
what we see the playoff RaSE being in twenty twenty six.
(00:22):
And then we're gonna talk about future award winners who
might win an MVP next year, asy Young, and then
we'll talk about maybe Rookie of the Year picks. A
little bit early before you can even bet on these things,
but we're gonna talk about them today. So without further ado,
we're gonna kick it to the drop teams in our intro.
We'll be right back.
Speaker 2 (00:40):
And the boys on the corner. We're trying to figure
you out.
Speaker 1 (00:47):
Okay, alrighty guys, we have a a kind of a
fun one for the people at home, the way too
early twenty twenty six predictions. So I think how we're
(01:07):
gonna do this is we're just gonna go division by
division talk about some teams and maybe their outlook heading
into next year. Obviously, there's some free agency and trades
are gonna happen in this offseason that will kind of
shake things up and change our minds. But we'll probably
do this segment again in March if I had to bet.
But let's talk about it now. So where else should
(01:27):
we start other than the AL West? I suppose as
of right now, the Mariners are a couple of games
back of the Astros. The Athletics look fun, Rangers and
Angels round out that division. Drew straight to you in
the AL West twenty twenty six favorite.
Speaker 3 (01:44):
Oh my gosh. You know it's funny because my brain
wants to go to your Mariners, and I'm trying to
look for a reason not to. I do think that
the Athletics is are a team who's only gonna get
better the more they play like you're you're seeing. I
got like Nick Kurtz, who looks in saying right off
the rip in his career, Jacob Wilson's had some injuries,
Shay Leglears looks like he could be an incredibly interesting player,
(02:07):
and then there's plenty of guys we haven't even mentioned yet.
But I think it's difficult to go against the Mariners.
They have a stockpile of really wonderful pitching, a very
well developed farm system that I don't think necessarily gets
the love that it deserves. Also, I think that this
may be the best time that I'll ever have to
tell you guys. In the top five hundred Dynasty Prospects
(02:28):
list that's coming out, I have Colts Emerson ranked in
my top sixty players.
Speaker 1 (02:35):
There you go, he has.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
Moved from He has moved from two hundred to sixty.
Speaker 4 (02:40):
That is quite a leap for Drew.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
So research are you looking at in THELS next year?
Speaker 2 (02:48):
The Los Angeles and I'm joking, I'm going to go
with the Texas Rangers. I Am going to go maybe
this is the year they all stay healthy. I mean,
I know it's a big if with the Rangers, but
they built this entire team around high vary and health,
you know, permitting if everyone's healthy. Nathany Evaldi put together
a third place, fourth place, cy Young sort of caliber finish,
(03:10):
you know, I know, I know he went down with
an injury. I don't think he's gonna that's only the
injury is too serious. Was probably like what turned through
the through through the aisle. So I'm gonna go with
the Texas Rangers. Go zig who everyone else is zagging
a little bit, Nate, I'm gonna push back against you there.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
They were pretty healthy this year. Maybe not in the field.
The pitching was like Jacob de gram has pitched a
full season.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
Yeah, he's finally pitched the full season.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
Oh lot fee. The pitching staff was pretty healthy this year,
So I don't know. I think that they can certainly
bank on maybe some more hitters, some of their more
role play player ish hitters staying healthy. But I think
we saw one of the better versions of the modern
Texas Rangers this year, and I just don't know if
they're good enough. I'm gonna zig away from my own team,
(03:57):
and I'm gonna say the Athletics there may be a
trade in a free agency signing in the pitching department.
Away from being one of the most fun teams in baseball.
You go up and down their lineup, it's all young,
fun players, plus Brent Rooker, who isn't that old. He's
only thirty years old. They have guys waiting in the
(04:18):
wings for next year that I think could be super good.
And then their starting pitchers aren't bad. They could definitely
use a bump, but like Jacob Lopez, like, I don't
know how good do you think Jacob Lopez is? True?
Speaker 4 (04:33):
I think he's what a weird question.
Speaker 3 (04:36):
I think he's better than trash, but probably not exactly
what he's not exactly what he's doing.
Speaker 4 (04:41):
Now, look, guys, give.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
Me he was on a insanity run.
Speaker 3 (04:47):
He was on a sanity run.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
That's so much like he's a back end starter, Like
he might have enough like SP three's SP four's to
like work their way into something. They definitely someone better,
don't get me right.
Speaker 2 (05:02):
Their rotation could take a jump forward next year with
gage jump.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
Yee, guys waiting, I really like their farm system, which
is a tree that I don't want to stand on,
but uh so I'm gonna go the athletics there.
Speaker 4 (05:18):
Tree that I don't want to see.
Speaker 1 (05:19):
Yeah, I don't know words or whatever if you can't tell.
Speaker 3 (05:23):
Well, like like like Reese was saying, another picture that
I think could move maybe even deceptively fast, is uh
this this pitching Uh this pitching rotation could.
Speaker 4 (05:31):
Take an Arnold forward really quickly.
Speaker 3 (05:33):
I mean, because I think he could be a guy
really quick as well.
Speaker 1 (05:38):
If they tinker with him the way the tinker to
the other guys. He could be up in July.
Speaker 3 (05:41):
Yeah hard facts, well said Nate like that.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
One.
Speaker 1 (05:46):
No, yeah, yes, I don't know why the heck.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
My computer is deciding that it doesn't want to charge.
So it might be fun and I am I got
to tell my die in the little podcast. Okay, I'm
going to Detroit Tigers, clean simple, best team in the
American League. Yeah, there's rock and roll. The team's getting,
you know, one year more mature. I think that they'll
figure out the third base situation. Trek Scoobel will have
signed a lifetime contract with Detroit. If he doesn't by
(06:11):
the time the next season starts, I might go on
a hunger strike. So yeah, Detroit Tigers, Simpson style love
it yes, or Mohammed Gandhi. Gandhi went on a hunger
strike to fight British oppression. I'm going on a hunger
strike for Darry Scooble's extension. Shut up hop top Drew
tell him.
Speaker 3 (06:30):
Uh, Reese's right. I think it's probably the Tigers. I'm
really excited to see when it is that the Royals
could put together a team around generational Bobby Witt junior.
I think some of the pieces are there, but it's
not It's not put together yet. And as you guys know,
I am a degenerate that thinks the White Sox will
be good eventually. I don't think it's twenty twenty six, though,
give it a Detroit.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
It has to be Detroit. So that I immediately started looking
towards who maybe the second best team is, and I
would probably go with the Royals. With bottoming out in
the White Sox still probably two years away. The Guardians
are in a weird position right now. This Royals team
does have a lot of fun young guys coming up
the ladder. Jensen, if I'm not mistaken, was just called up,
(07:15):
and I mean, the the why am I'm forgetting his name?
The Jack Caglione, Like, what if he has a nice
sophomore year? They got a couple of arms that are
starting to get interested in. Kansas City Royals would be
my second place pick, but Detroit Tigers would be mine
for the same reasons that you guys already stated. In
(07:35):
the Al East guys, i think I'm just gonna zig
where everyone else is zagging. What if the Ools are
good next year?
Speaker 4 (07:43):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (07:43):
He stole mine. I was like, these people are gonna
think I'm an idiot for saying the Orioles. I'm going
with Oriols as well Man Oriols or Red Sox. What
if they tried some of their hitting prospect for some pictures,
Like what if they actually decide to finally do it?
They have more than enough.
Speaker 1 (07:58):
The farm is replenished, The farmers replenished, have MLB talent
hitters that are tradable.
Speaker 3 (08:03):
They have their ace and Trevor Rodgers Nathaniel Yeah.
Speaker 1 (08:06):
We were just talking about this off air, Reese. What
if Trevor Rodgers is the ace because he's pitching.
Speaker 2 (08:11):
Like and then they need they need sp two, which
I think they could find. I don't think they're going
to be spending a lot in free agency.
Speaker 1 (08:17):
They're getting Grayson Rodriguez back. Who's that's a solid. Who's
a guy, Tyler Wells we haven't seen Tyler Wells in
a while.
Speaker 3 (08:26):
Kyle bradis Kyle Bradish.
Speaker 2 (08:28):
They've got guys, and they have the ammunition. They've always
had the ammunition for the past three years to make
the trade for the ace that they're clearly lacking, or
ace or you know, just Frontline started that they kind
of need like a playoff number two or number three
would do. They're gonna sign Aaron Sabali, aren't they? And
Ale Contra feels like Baltimore Oriole. Yeah, I think so
(08:50):
too soft season. Yeah, if they make that move, I
think that the Yankees are kind of falling apart. I
don't really buy the Blue. The Red Sox could take
a step forward if they decide. I think the Red
Sox would be the smartest pick.
Speaker 4 (09:05):
The Red Sox is my choice.
Speaker 3 (09:07):
Just because I think that we're seeing kind of them
do what we want the Orioles to do in terms
of their young guys are producing. They they are getting pictures,
whether it's from within or from external sources. Uh, they're
making smart cuts. I hate to say it, but Walker
Bueler being cut was the right move.
Speaker 4 (09:23):
Tennessee boy.
Speaker 3 (09:23):
I hated see it, but you know, well, Vanderbilt boy,
I guess I should say, excuse me, but yeah, I'm
gonna go with the Red Sox. I think they're closer.
And I'm with you guys about the Yankees kind of
maybe on a slope a little quicker than we thought.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
The Red Sox extended earliest Chapman and their top three
next year, Garrett Crochet, Brian Bayo and Peyton Toley. What
if you what if they've been looking for s P
two's for a while, and what if they've just developed
two of them in front of our eyes?
Speaker 4 (09:48):
And then what did you get? What if you get
a Brandon Clark? What if you get up? You know
Connolly Early? That that's your threes or four perfect guys.
Speaker 1 (09:57):
Conley Early is going to be the best SP five
in the league in two years.
Speaker 2 (10:01):
And they've got they've got them to make a trade.
They could trade Franklin, Aris Justix and Garcia. They should
trade him, They should trade him.
Speaker 1 (10:10):
Why not change Jared Durant either? Why not if you
don't want to trade the other guys want of them
masks to go? And Darren Durant is the odd man out.
It's him or Garcia? Yeah, with you they've got a
nice GOODNP.
Speaker 4 (10:23):
Do you want back?
Speaker 1 (10:24):
Maybe they exactly exactly and I don't know if they
need one that's as good anymore. So maybe Garcia's the
odd man out.
Speaker 2 (10:29):
But I think I think they're aggressive with Joe Ryan
this offseason. I think they I think if they don't
I'd rather I'd rather trade for Joe Ryan. Joe Ryan
only costs prospects. But yeah, I know what you're saying.
Speaker 1 (10:44):
They probably won't. But they also had the Devers. Money's gone,
Yoshidas probably gone. This offseason, they're gonna have money available
to go for one of the top pitches, like a Valdez.
Like what if they do something like that, the Red
Sox could become like World Series favorites very quickly this
off depending on how they finished this year, like they're.
Speaker 3 (11:02):
Going a whole playoff run, get real kind of thing.
Speaker 1 (11:06):
Yeah, exactly, do you do you want to move to
the NL West?
Speaker 2 (11:10):
Yeah? Yeah, sure, I'm ready.
Speaker 1 (11:12):
All right and i'll West.
Speaker 4 (11:13):
True.
Speaker 1 (11:13):
Let's start with you. What are you? What are your thoughts?
NL West, Dodgers, Padres, Rocky Rockies.
Speaker 3 (11:19):
I mean, it's it's obviously this is the turnaround. They're
you know, winning twenty eight percent of their games this year.
Next year, I think they may could win I don't know,
twenty nine percent. It's gonna be. It's gonna be a
big year in the Mountains.
Speaker 4 (11:30):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (11:31):
I think it's silly not to pick the Dodgers. I
just you know, every year we're gonna sit here and
project that this is the year they're going to slide.
But they're gonna go out and sign somebody. They're going
to have a prospect come up at just the right time.
It's the boring answer, but uh my mom and daddy.
Speaker 4 (11:44):
Didn't raise no fool, so give me the easy money.
Speaker 1 (11:47):
Reese. Are you in the same boat Giants?
Speaker 2 (11:50):
No, I'm just chocking. I'm going with the Dodgers. Sometimes
you just take the you know, you just hit it
right down the fairway. Yeah, I don't really have much
to say. They developed that than anybody else. Think trade
you know that they want to. I mean, have you
seen some of the outfield prospects they have some other
teams would love to have. Michael Sarota is just like
their the fourth best outfield prospect is pretty pretty wild.
(12:11):
So yeah, they can do whatever they want to do.
Speaker 1 (12:13):
I'm gonna agree with you guys and the Dodgers, and
this is the least fun division in baseball. This just
because the Giants are in their division. The d Backs,
you know, took a step back, and the Rockies are
the Rockies. I don't think the Padres are like the
most fun team either.
Speaker 3 (12:33):
Yeah, at any given point, they could debtnate, but.
Speaker 1 (12:35):
They never do, which is like the weird thing. But
I don't have much sand that a west, So I
suppose let's just go straight ahead and go to NL Central.
Speaker 2 (12:43):
Here, Fellows, I mean, we're a year away from a
Fernando Tatis junior trade. Like if things could go that
poorly in San Diego, that we could be he could
be offloaded for a bag of beans and a half
eaten sandwich.
Speaker 1 (12:57):
I have a lot of money and some really old guys.
You Darvish has a sneaky long contract and does not
look good. Xandre Bilgarts is there. Manny Machado is doing well,
but what happened? When does he fall off? There's a
lot of question marks.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
And losing their two best pitchers. They're almost assuredly not
bringing them back. Nick Povetta's on a very weird contract.
It's it could look really bad in San Diego, but
it's beautiful place to go watch ball game.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
So no, it's great because they have so many prospects.
You know.
Speaker 2 (13:22):
Oh yeah, I totally forgot about that. They kept cash Mayfield.
Oh my gosh, cash money on that one.
Speaker 4 (13:28):
Uh really really hyper quick.
Speaker 3 (13:31):
I think mcguil mendez of the Padre system is really dope.
Actually he's he's kind of nasty, and nobody gives you
the best pitching prospect. Yeah, work, thanks Reese.
Speaker 1 (13:40):
Cruiz school Crafts hitting ninety nine the other day. It
made me start to like Cruise school Craft a little
bit because he was not doing that five months ago.
And El central Resa, I'll let you start here. This
is kind of a fun division.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
This is about as fun of a division as I
think we're going to get to talk about watually. The
next one could be really fun too. Oh do I
want to go power of Pocket paincase. There's no way
the Brewers do with this again, right fellas they might.
Their team is so good and their farm system is
so loaded. We are having discussions Smata, Matt and I like,
(14:13):
do we just decide to like rank every prospect in
their system? Like it is just an embarrassment of riches.
They have the two top ten teenage prospects in baseball.
You know, if the Brewers start set up about as
well as anybody for long term, if they ever spent
just a little bit of money, I'm not asking them
to shop in the Dylan C's market or the Michael
King market, although with Michael King being injured, could you
(14:36):
imagine Michael King ended up with Milwaukee. Oh my god,
that would be bonkers. I'm gonna go I'm not going
with the Cubs. I think the Cubs might might have peaked.
I don't know if that's a hot take or not.
I do not believe in anything. The Reds are selling
the Cardinals power double Magic Gon and the Pirates are
the Pirates. So I'm going with the Milwaukee Brewers.
Speaker 3 (14:54):
True, I'm gonna be weird and take the Pirates. I
think that I think that this may be one of
the sloppiest kind of most all over the place. We
don't know what's happening in this division next year.
Speaker 4 (15:08):
I'm getting out ahead of it early.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
The Pirates are just good enough to get just collaborate
around one of the playoffs, but the Pirates still win
the division.
Speaker 2 (15:16):
So yeah, they're gonna have to win every game two
to one, and their rotation could put them They could
have like.
Speaker 4 (15:21):
A and their rotation could make them do it.
Speaker 1 (15:24):
I think Connor Griffin needs to be up.
Speaker 3 (15:28):
This team led by Connor Griffin in his age seven year,
it's gonna be insane.
Speaker 1 (15:34):
Every bone in my body wants me to take the
Reds because I like Chase Burns and Red Louder and
Hunter Green and Andrew Abbott. It's a really good that
might be the best rotation in baseball this year. I
hate their hitters. I dislike the It's such a it's
such a stupid it's such a stupid team. I'm gonna
(15:55):
go with the Cubs. I think it definitely hinges a
little bit on a Kyle Tucker resigning, But I do
think the odds would favor them resigning Kyle Tucker. I
think that is a fair state.
Speaker 2 (16:05):
No, I actually don't think they've resigned Kyle Tucker. I
think that what's going on lately with Kyle Tucker and
them like resting sitting him. I think he's almost shortly gone.
I think he was gone from the moment that trade happened.
I have no fun.
Speaker 1 (16:18):
I think if there was a betting favor right now,
it would be the Cubs, though.
Speaker 2 (16:22):
The Detroit Tigers, and I'm just sitting they're not gonna
spend that little money.
Speaker 3 (16:25):
Can you guys answer me a weird question that I
just it must be the fact that I'm becoming congested
and delusional with every passing second. But what was Tucker's
relationship like with the Astros, Because I feel like they
may shoo outs some money to sure up something going
on there for the.
Speaker 2 (16:39):
Future, and there's nothing the Astros love more than bringing
back exactly Rese exactly A good point. They absorbed a
lot of money in that Crey deal though, so whatever
they're I mean, they're losing Valdez, they're gaining Creek.
Speaker 1 (16:51):
I mean, they have a lot of money in the books,
but they've spent money, so it's definitely possible.
Speaker 2 (16:56):
Do we want to play a quick game of where
Kyle Tucker goes just or do we not want to?
Speaker 1 (17:02):
I mean, sure, where do you think the ming spots are?
Speaker 2 (17:04):
I think he's mean it's up as a Dodger Man
that it's what other team. I don't think the New
York team are gonna spend any money. The Yankees want
to act like a poor team. Really, that's a good
spot to do.
Speaker 1 (17:17):
So much money though, and none of it's coming off
the books. Is it Casianos coming off the books?
Speaker 4 (17:21):
Maybe?
Speaker 3 (17:23):
I think we are we really spending stupid money or not?
I'm going to go back to it for the million time.
Are we really spending stupid money or not?
Speaker 1 (17:29):
Kyle Tucker feels like a Blue Jay. They've been trying
forever to get one of these guys. What if they
just give users five hundred million dollars.
Speaker 4 (17:36):
Back to Texas but wrong team. I could be into that.
I'm gonna say, Astros weird that Angels.
Speaker 2 (17:42):
The Angels just there love for Kyle Tucker and he
just gets to just live in a in a stadium
that might as well be a parking lot.
Speaker 3 (17:49):
Honestly, I could see might guess what we got you
some help?
Speaker 4 (17:54):
Really? What's that we signed Kyle Tucker?
Speaker 1 (17:57):
Baby, it's gonna give him a go.
Speaker 4 (18:02):
I could see that too.
Speaker 1 (18:03):
Actually he did, don't I can't see him jaants. I'm
saying blue Jays. Okay, Yeah. So the Cubs, I guess
I did most of my field, but they have some
of the most Triple A talent baseball, if not the most.
I mean, they have an absolutely loaded Triple A squad
that they can either trade from or they can supplement
the MLB team like their bench is going to be
(18:25):
nasty next year. I believe Willie Casher has an option.
I mean, own Casey's gonna be on the team next
year unless they ship him away, Like they're not replacing
a whole lot other than Kyle Tucker and like Michael Bush,
Saya Suzuki, like these kind of Pete ro arms, Like
these kind of guys have really really stepped up their
game this year, and they still have old regulars looking
and happened and Dancey Swanson hanging around. Who are I
mean Dancy Swanson hitting eight for your team. He's like
(18:49):
still a very good player. He's had a good year.
Speaker 2 (18:51):
With gold Glove defense.
Speaker 1 (18:53):
Like yeah, I mean I mean that Millen Fields sick,
Like did.
Speaker 4 (18:57):
We talk about Grandpa? Yeah? I was sayed, did we
talk about Grandpa? Nico Warner in there? Like solid team
up and down?
Speaker 1 (19:02):
Really so what I'm saying so, And of course they
need a couple starred pictures, But like I'm a huge
Kate Horton guy. I think Shody Monaga hasn't put his
best foot forward this year. Matthew Boyd, I mean, who knows.
I think they need one more. I think they need
a guy that frontlines that rotation. How they find that
guy is going to be the interesting question they need
to Yeah, it's like Dylan C. Servaldez. It's a trade. Yeah,
(19:26):
all right, let's move right along to the NL East
and I'll start with you, Reese.
Speaker 2 (19:31):
The NL East. I think this one can go in
a lot of different ways. I'm going with the New
York Mets. It's all about the Mets. Baby. Have you
seen their farm system? They might have three top twenty
ish prospects this offseason. Carson Bench is awesome. Jonah Tong
came up and got run support, which Jacob de Grom
could never get. Oh dude, I'm so tired of hearing
(19:53):
this discourse about Jonah Tong's arm slot. It isn't over
the top armslot, and I'm not in for this nonsense.
That's the high three quarters anyways. Any who, No, McLean's awesome.
They're going to spend a little bit of money. They
bring back Pete Alonzo. I really believe that, because where
else is Peede Alonso gonna go. I also think the
funniest subplot or Peede Alonzo for the rest of his
career is that he just goes into free agency every
(20:13):
single year and just re signs with the Mets. I
think they'll be really funny. But yeah, I'm gonna go
with the Mets drew.
Speaker 3 (20:23):
The homer in me wants to say the Phillies have
one more run. If this isn't the year, I'd like
to see one more run because I know that eventually
it's gonna have to all come crashing down.
Speaker 4 (20:32):
I remember how this went last time, and I'm gonna
go with the Phillies.
Speaker 3 (20:36):
But I do think that the Braves are gonna be
sneaky back. I think they've had a terrible luck here.
But I'm gonna say the Phillies just because I kind
of need to here.
Speaker 2 (20:46):
I'm out on the Braves until they show that they
can a develop prospects that it consistent basis and b
invest in some depth. And also Jennison all the Albis,
all the Albs just doesn't have anymore.
Speaker 1 (20:57):
I'm completely out on the Braves. I cannot agree more Reese.
I mean I like the Marlins more than the Braves
next year, which I wanted to say the Marlins. I mean,
the Marlins could absolutely be a wild card team next year,
like I would not be surprised at all the Nationals
should be sent to Azkaban. I'm going with the Phillies here.
Very tough between the Mets and the Phillies. Andrew Paynter's
(21:19):
coming up. They have a couple guys in Triple A
who that they can either trade to fill in some
holes or they can supplement the current roster with I
would honestly prefer that they trade a lot of that
Triple A depth other than Andrew Paynter. Zach Wheeler probably
is last year next year, assuming he comes back. All Okay,
Aaron Nola's getting up there as well. But then you
have the Christopher Sanchez Hazers Lozardo type still hanging around
(21:41):
with Andrew Painter in that rotation. I'm a Painter believer,
like I truly believe in Well. I'll probably talk about
him in a coming up here in a couple of
minutes for a Rookie of the Year talks. But I
love Andrew Painter. I'm gonna go with the Phillies there.
Speaker 2 (21:54):
I if Nola's a little cooked, Nola might be more
cooked than I think.
Speaker 1 (21:59):
I believe Nola really good coming back.
Speaker 2 (22:01):
Okay, he's looked, He's looked really bad this year, so
it's made me wonder if he's you know, he's pitched
a lot like underrated. How much usage is on that arm?
Speaker 1 (22:10):
He's still ninety seven percentile chase. The fastball d LO
is down, but he's still doing enough to work. I
think you could project. I think you can project one
more year out of Aaron Nola And granted it's been
a it's been a year from hell, but injuries.
Speaker 4 (22:23):
Right.
Speaker 1 (22:25):
Yeah, let's move along to MVP guys, and this is
gonna be a fun one where you at on on Yeah,
do we wanna? We want to.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
I'll be quick.
Speaker 1 (22:38):
You can go with whichever league you want to go
with first.
Speaker 2 (22:41):
I'm gonna go with al Gunnar Henderson wins his first
MVP award. I think he has a bounce back issues
and not that he's been bad this year. Gunnar Henderson's
my guy. I think that he's gonna take us up forward.
I think that the Orioles take a big step forward
in the American League after what was a very down season,
and Gunnar Henderson is the reason for that.
Speaker 1 (23:01):
I like, you want to go straight to your You're
an lm V pinot Uh.
Speaker 2 (23:06):
Yeah, someone that I saw on Reddit people are saying
should be platooned in a corner outfield. Ellie Dayla Cruz
goes bonkers next year. We're talking about eighty eighty. Uh
and I'm just joking. Uh. Fifty to fifty though, like
I think is definitely well in the possibility. Uh. Ellie
Da La Cruz puts it together. Mm hm oh that said,
it's spicy.
Speaker 4 (23:26):
I know that is spicy.
Speaker 3 (23:28):
I kind of like that. Let me see, I'm trying
to I'm trying to game this year and think about
who I have as like my second finishers here in
these leagues that I can shout out.
Speaker 4 (23:38):
Okay, uh, I'm gonna do.
Speaker 3 (23:42):
That'd be ballsy, that'd be ballsy, little too ballsy. Okay,
let's give credit to old man. Mike Trout wins MVP
by carrying Angels to a middling record as their only
guy with a positive war next season.
Speaker 2 (24:01):
Offensively, you know, not a zach Netto guy.
Speaker 3 (24:04):
Oh sorry, yes again, my brain is corrupted currently. So
Neto is the truth.
Speaker 4 (24:08):
Forgive me.
Speaker 2 (24:09):
I actually want to say Netto for MVP. I really
wanted to go spicy. Another step forward, I would.
Speaker 3 (24:14):
Say, Mike Trout zach Netto shared MVP. Now, hey, you
guys go put that in this town where you wager.
Speaker 1 (24:24):
Mike Trout zach Neto.
Speaker 4 (24:26):
Yeah, that's it.
Speaker 2 (24:28):
And then n l H, We're gonna go with Mike
Trout again.
Speaker 3 (24:33):
Mike Trout, Mike Trout with the Philadelphia Phillies. Uh.
Speaker 4 (24:37):
No, I'm gonna go with uh.
Speaker 3 (24:39):
Boo poo poo pooh, pooh pooh.
Speaker 4 (24:42):
Let's see.
Speaker 3 (24:43):
I'm gonna go Manny Machado. Uh for kind of the
same reasons. Uh. He's just good and keeps the Padres
interesting enough in the race against Los Doyers.
Speaker 4 (24:52):
So, Nate, what about you?
Speaker 3 (24:53):
Who are your most valuable players?
Speaker 1 (24:56):
My al MVP is Trek Scooble. Oh, I love it.
If it's not Aaron Judge or Bobby Witt, who would
it be? It should be Bobby Witt. I think I
was a betting man. I would take Bobby Wit getting
his first next year. I think that makes a lot of sense.
The cal Roley regression is likely due, and Aaron Judge
(25:18):
has been healthy enough these last couple of years. What
if it's not a healthy year next year? Your first
answer would be the Bobby Witt. The fun answer would
be Terrex Scooble. If it wasn't those three, it would
be Terrek Schouble. I think he's fourth in the MVP
right now. In that race so give me Scoobs.
Speaker 2 (25:36):
He should be a more conversation for first, but no
one triady to have that conversation.
Speaker 1 (25:40):
I think you are sadly right. And then this is
not the most fun pick, but I'm gonna go want
Soto of the NL. I just no one else speaks
to me like he does in that league with consistence.
Speaker 2 (25:53):
So I like the way it spelled in the doc.
S ot eh.
Speaker 1 (26:00):
One Sodo will be my my NL pick.
Speaker 4 (26:04):
I like it.
Speaker 2 (26:05):
I like it a lot, very Chalky. Do you want
to start us off with the al Cy Young because
I imagine if someone's winning an m VP for you
as a bitcher.
Speaker 1 (26:14):
Else, I'm definitely picking.
Speaker 2 (26:15):
That's so funny.
Speaker 1 (26:17):
Could imagine I'm allowed to talk about two players. So
I'm gonna do that, right, I'm gonna go light on
real quick. I really want to go Hunter Brown here. Wow, okay, next,
I mean he's top five this year. What if he's
the guy? Yeah, let's go Huntter Brown for my al
(26:37):
Cy Young for my nl Cy Young. Talk me off
of Andrew Painter.
Speaker 2 (26:45):
This is a man who said that Jacob Wilson would
be in contention for the a L MVP.
Speaker 1 (26:49):
Which he was for three months of this season, mind you.
Speaker 2 (26:55):
Dang it. I should have I should have picked Nick Kurts.
Ni Kurts would have been a fun al MVP. I
don't think we're gonna give it to him, but he
definite hit like eighty home runs.
Speaker 1 (27:04):
I know it's tough, man. I'm struggling with this one
a little bit. I'm gonna say, dude, honestly, give me
like the most electric pitching prospect in multiple multiple years.
Can me Chase Burns like a Jackson job? Paul Skins?
Paul Skins uh doesn't exist. I just want to get
(27:27):
fun somewhere.
Speaker 3 (27:28):
That's sad, all right, Reese, how about you? For the
Cy Young Award winners.
Speaker 2 (27:35):
Terry Scooble cements himself after he wins, after I get
off my hunger strike, he uh summons himself as this
third straight al Cy Young. There's no one close to
him in the AL, and I'm tired of people acting
like there is. He's a clear tier above everybody else.
This is the best pitcher in baseball by almost a
wide margin. And now it's gonna be boring. I'n go
(27:57):
with Paul Skans. He wins the second right, it's high Young,
I think so that's awesome. He starts a dynastic run
before he has to before he gets traded, before the
Pirates have to pay him.
Speaker 4 (28:10):
Okay, I like that, Alsaw Young.
Speaker 3 (28:13):
I was gonna choose Boston Red Sox pitcher, and I
very nearly chose their new pitcher, Joe Ryan, but I'm
gonna go with Garrett Krosche instead. I think that that's
a safe choice, and I'm trying not to pick the
same ones you guys do when when possible. And for
the NLSA Young, I'm gonna go with one of the
most electric pitchers in baseball, a Japanese stud for the
Los Angeles Dodgers, Yoshi show Heyo Tani, I'm gonna go
(28:35):
weird with that one.
Speaker 2 (28:40):
No, no, he's not dead.
Speaker 3 (28:47):
Maybe I almost picked the Alma, but I thought it
would be weirder to go Atani. And because weirdest theme
of my picks here, Tani, how about Rookies of the Year,
shall we yeah?
Speaker 2 (29:00):
Rookie of the Year Kevin Gonnegal beginning a dynastic run
from Tigers. And then for the NL I'm gonna go
with Bubba Chandler. Give me Bubba Chandler as he cements
himself as the number two for the Pirates, who win
(29:21):
forty games. Because Paul Skins and Bubba Chandler win twenty
games with the first two to twenty win win pitchers
on the same team for a team that didn't make
the playoffs, they only win the games of those two
pitch they don't win any any other ones.
Speaker 4 (29:38):
I liked that.
Speaker 3 (29:39):
That also plays into me having them win the Central
I love this.
Speaker 4 (29:42):
I like this.
Speaker 1 (29:42):
I like this, Drew, who are your Rookie of year picks?
Speaker 4 (29:45):
Oh, they're bad, They're real bad.
Speaker 2 (29:49):
Glamerson and Franklin Arias shows.
Speaker 3 (29:52):
Uh now that's the same guy, and so they cannot
win both.
Speaker 4 (29:57):
Let's see. American League Rookie of the Year is.
Speaker 3 (30:00):
Gonna be one of my favorite pitchers, tree is Savage.
Speaker 1 (30:04):
It's a great pick.
Speaker 3 (30:05):
Uh.
Speaker 4 (30:05):
Thanks, I think he may be uh the truth?
Speaker 3 (30:09):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (30:10):
And then National League Rotty.
Speaker 3 (30:15):
Trying to think of who this is gonna be. It's
gonna be somebody that I see coming, but not for
the reason I think I see them coming.
Speaker 4 (30:23):
Uh, what if?
Speaker 2 (30:26):
What if?
Speaker 3 (30:27):
What if?
Speaker 4 (30:28):
Hazes Monday? It's not gonna be Hazes Monday. It's not
Hazes Monday, it's gonna.
Speaker 3 (30:33):
Be uh No, it's gonna be Moyses by Asteros for sure.
Speaker 2 (30:39):
That's fun.
Speaker 3 (30:40):
He's gonna be the d H for the Chicago Cubs
and be the first Rookie of the Year to win
as a d H since UH quick Draw McGraw in
nineteen dickety six, Nate, who is your Rookie of the Year's?
Speaker 2 (30:52):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (30:52):
Andrew Painter is my NL Rookie of the Year. I
feel like that's straightforward enough. And now hear me out,
what if there's a prospect that I don't know where
I'm going with this. Emanuel Arriguez is gonna.
Speaker 2 (31:06):
Be You can't win Rookie of the Year if you
only play forty games and if you swing what's higher
his game's played or his swing rate?
Speaker 1 (31:17):
Rookie of the Year voters do not care about a
swing rate. I think that he will be a valuable
enough player and he could hit twenty home runs, And honestly,
a lot of the times it feels like the ale
Rookie of the ear RaSE is just like or at
least one of the Rookie of Year races Like this year,
it's just like, who can hit twenty home runs and
be cool like Drake Baldwin was an one's Rookie the
(31:37):
Year pick early this year. It's like, oh, like he
can maybe hit two hundred or twenty home runs and
hit well enough and defend. Okay, I don't know, like
the I think the AL is like a fascinating thought.
Like you Savage, I think would be my front runner.
Luke is gonna lose eligibility, which sucks.
Speaker 4 (31:54):
Totally.
Speaker 2 (31:54):
Totally was my second shot because he's getting a chance
to get some soft landing at the major league level,
not gonna graduate. It's totally.
Speaker 1 (32:02):
It's totally.
Speaker 3 (32:04):
If I was gonna pick a batter, I would pick
the best batter.
Speaker 1 (32:07):
Spencer Jones, I almost said that I was wondering.
Speaker 2 (32:12):
I't know we were talking about the KBO Rookie of
the Year.
Speaker 4 (32:17):
You were on a.
Speaker 3 (32:18):
Streak of comments, just trying to piss me off over
these two episodes.
Speaker 2 (32:22):
My buddy, I know I'm trying. You're trying to. I'm
starting to. I'm thinking about I'm just gonna start rage Betweeting's.
Speaker 4 (32:32):
In the episode. I'm kidding.
Speaker 1 (32:35):
Well, guys, in this shorter episode, I think we're just
gonna kick it right over to No pleve news in
this episode because we're pre recording it. So we're just
gonna straight to what's on your mind? After this will
break from the draft teens.
Speaker 2 (32:51):
Will you come back to town with Jesus? What's on
your mind?
Speaker 3 (32:58):
Drew h Okay, I need you both to pull up
a random number generator on the Internet.
Speaker 4 (33:03):
Please. While you're doing that, I'm gonna tell you.
Speaker 3 (33:06):
Resa told Nate before we started recording, whenever I first
got into baseball, I picked up this book at Books
a Million called Baseball's Best one hundred. It's about excuse
one thousand. That's that's the number one thousand. It's about
the thousand best baseball players according to this guy as
of the year two thousand and four. So we're gonna
(33:26):
learn about baseball players that Grandpa's thought were dope. So
I need you to each randomize the number between one
and one thousand. We're gonna learn together today, guys.
Speaker 4 (33:34):
Six, Very good, all right, Nate.
Speaker 3 (33:39):
The player today that we're learning about is Manuel Julian Javier,
a second basement for the Cardinals and Reds from nineteen
sixty to nineteen seventy two. Lifetime stats is batting average.
We don't have a slash line. Baby, this is pure BA.
Two fifty seven, seventy eight home runs all right, five
hundred and six RBIs, four hundred and sixty nine hits,
(34:01):
and one hundred and thirty five stolen bases.
Speaker 4 (34:04):
I'm already starting to bat. I'm starting to poke Coles in.
Speaker 3 (34:07):
This this book paragraph really quickly. Haybire did not have
a high career average, except when it came to the postseason.
He batted three thirty three and four World Series. Biggest
hit in that forum was a three run homer in
Game seven of the sixty seven series against the Red
Sox up lead the Cardinals to victory. He led the
mL and sacrifice hits in nineteen sixty with fifteen, was
voted twice to the All Star team, and was ranked
among the top ten NL based Steelers from nineteen sixty
(34:29):
to nineteen sixty three. Hashtag Grandpa Reese, what number you got?
Speaker 2 (34:33):
Okay, let me generate my number real quick. One hundred
and eleven.
Speaker 3 (34:38):
This guy may be good, Let's hope so, because uh
that a due was kind of sucked.
Speaker 2 (34:44):
Good not good. He did two fifty three batting average
in the nineteen sixties. That dude must have been very bad.
Speaker 4 (34:51):
I like this one. This is a good one.
Speaker 3 (34:53):
Shall we learn about number one eleven, right handed pitcher
Robin Evan Roberts of the Phillies Orioles, Astros and Cubs
from nineteen forty eight to sixty six. A Hall of
famer as of nineteen seventy six. Robin robertson ten words
or less, hated to come out, Let him hit the ball.
Let's see lifetime stats. Two hundred and eighty six wins,
(35:15):
twenty five saves, a three forty one two thousand, three
hundred and fifty seven career strikeouts, and three hundred and
five complete games.
Speaker 4 (35:24):
He was at this.
Speaker 3 (35:25):
Time the winningest right hander in the history of the
Philadelphia Phillies. Won twenty or more six years in a row.
Smooth motion, gave up a lot of home runs, but
chances are those are one runners.
Speaker 4 (35:35):
Is what it seems like here.
Speaker 3 (35:37):
Dominant in the mid fifties. I have some Robin Roberts
cards if you like this. If you want to learn
about random Grandpa players, drop us a comment below and
I'll just keep this book on my desk. But rees,
can you talk about what's on your mind?
Speaker 2 (35:50):
Sir? Yeah, that dude's arm must be a noodle. He
must not be able to lift his he's a right
handed pitcher or left hand pitcher, he must not be
able to lift his army. Yeah uh yeah, he uh,
he probably cannot lift his arm up. I do not
have anything for what's on my mind, So this is
where I stall and think about something that's been bothering immediately,
(36:11):
Sal Stewart. No, by the time you listen to Seal Stewart,
he will have my handful of played appearances. Weird how
I don't have reception during any of them. So what's
on my mind? I've been playing Pokemon. I'm just gonna
talk about TV shows that I'm thinking about watching and
we can talk about it. I'm in the middle of
(36:31):
looking for a new TV show. When I get bored,
I watch American Dad or The Simpsons. I'm thinking about
doing a rewatch the Sopranos. Do you guys have any
recommendations for rewatches or just new shows in general? Uh?
Based on what you guys know about me. We've done
thirty something of these episodes and we talk every day.
What would you guys recommend to me?
Speaker 1 (36:49):
Have you seen severance?
Speaker 2 (36:51):
I have not seen Severance.
Speaker 1 (36:54):
You have to watch Severance?
Speaker 2 (36:56):
Is that the Apple TV one?
Speaker 1 (36:58):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (36:58):
It's free though, Okay, good, you and Danielle should watch
Severance together. Danielle and I don't have very similar TV like.
I love Succession, I love reality TV shows.
Speaker 1 (37:09):
I think I think this would bring you guys together.
I've heard a lot of examples of couples watching Severance together.
Speaker 2 (37:18):
Okay, sorry, someone'sone's like while you're.
Speaker 3 (37:21):
While you're checking on that. Have you or Danielle watched
Orange Is the New Black?
Speaker 2 (37:27):
I have, Danielle has as well. Neither one of us
are big fans.
Speaker 4 (37:31):
Ok okay, okay, that's all I got watch more.
Speaker 2 (37:36):
We don't own a TV. I don't know if people
know that I watched all of my stuff on my
phone or on my iPad or on my laptops, so
I don't. We don't. We do not own a TV
in the house, and it's quite nice sometimes. I also
a very anti TV in the bedroom. I don't know
if everyone else agrees with that or not. I think
just a lotus from other activities like reading. I don't
no one needs to get a dirty mind on this.
(37:57):
In hokemon wholesome stuff, So yeah, big anti TV in
the room, but I want something to watch, so I
would definitely watch Severance. I'll get back to you in
the future episode if I ever watch it. You're gonna
watch it, Nate. This is maybe one of my favorite
things that I've ever seen, because I'm a nerd and
I love this sort of content. Nate, what's on your mind?
Speaker 1 (38:20):
We're drafting Star Wars characters, Okay, and now most important
draft ever?
Speaker 2 (38:26):
What are we doing? What we think is the coolest,
the most important. I think we draft our favorites, our favorite,
our favorites.
Speaker 1 (38:35):
It's a mix of like every draft to do, it's
a mix of everything right, the best, our favorites. It's
just a.
Speaker 2 (38:42):
Can I ask one question before we start? Is Anakin
and Darth Vader the same character? Enough?
Speaker 1 (38:48):
I would separate them?
Speaker 3 (38:51):
Okay, I get separating them, Okay, cool.
Speaker 2 (38:53):
I just wanted to make sure because if if they're
the same character, they're the easy one one. I only
it's close. I think so too. Okay, I think so too.
Speaker 1 (39:02):
I gave myself one one because honestly, I don't know
if this is the one one pick or not. I
don't think there was a super clear one one. I'm
going R two D two one one.
Speaker 2 (39:13):
That is that is I made a one in one
of our episodes. I may I suggested that Archie. I said,
the R two D two is in every Star Wars movie,
and I think Kim and C three p O are
the greatest lovers of all time. So two said, yes, uh,
the greatest good cop bad cop routine of all time
(39:33):
as well. I'm with you. R T D two is
a fantastic pick. Uh, I'm gonna go then I'm gonna
go with Darth Vader. I think Darth Vader is just
an iconic villain. He is slow, he's a tank, but
man and he and he can't even use The thing
is that makes him so awesome is he can't even
use the best Sith power, which is Sith lightning, and
(39:53):
that dude just just rips. Darth Vader is my is
like my all time favorite villain. It's that and the
Joker from the Dark Knight trilogy. There's no those are
the easy two I'll favor to do a villain's draft.
Uh those are that's those are my one, one, one,
two and whatever order you want.
Speaker 3 (40:11):
Yeah, wow, that's good. Uh that was my one one.
So I'm gonna go with one two here and get
Anakin Skywalker. I think probably pretty clearly. Obviously, the whole
story for the first six films is based around his
life and what it means for the rest of the galaxy. Uh.
Speaker 4 (40:28):
He's interesting, he's compelling.
Speaker 3 (40:30):
Uh, it's it's so easy to fall for those kinds
of like tricks of your spirit and your soul, to
be swayed by something easy, even though it's not the
right thing.
Speaker 4 (40:38):
And so I love that.
Speaker 3 (40:39):
And uh, I'm gonna go with my favorite Star Wars
character for my second rounder. Certainly not going Chalk here,
but Drew's favorite the Jedi. Drew most relates to Qui
gon Jin.
Speaker 4 (40:50):
Who is that guy?
Speaker 2 (40:52):
Liam Neeson facts Reese to you, sir, Oh okay, hmmm.
I love I just love the Star Wars universe. It's
like one of my absolute favorite I love Mace Windho.
He's he Samuel L. Jackson in a Star Wars movie
is one of the coolest things ever. The fact that
(41:14):
the only way he would be in it is if
he got a purple lightsaber is awesome. Mace Windho is
my It's maybe one of my favorite Jedis of all
time too, So I'm gonna go with Mace Window.
Speaker 1 (41:23):
In a crazy turn of events, my top three are
still on the board. I took, I'm going Chewbaca. Oh,
and then I'm going Yoda.
Speaker 4 (41:34):
Oh yeah, okay, very good.
Speaker 1 (41:37):
I'm a funny guy, man, I want funny characters. Those
are my top three Star Wars characters, and I'm not
ashamed to admit that.
Speaker 4 (41:46):
On my board there. Yeah, that's very good, very very good.
Speaker 3 (41:50):
Reese, back to you, man, who's joining Darth Vader and
Mace Wind doo.
Speaker 2 (41:54):
Oh, that's such a good question. Do I want to go?
I'm another pick, so I can go obscure with that one.
I love General Grievous. General Grievous is awesome. The fact
that he has lightsabers from jedis that he's slayd. He's
like this weird cyborg thing. He's awesome in the cartoons,
and he's also awesome in the movies. They did a
really good job. It's one of the few times that
they'd done a really good job with it, like, you know,
(42:16):
cgi of that level, especially at that time, at that
time in cinema. General Grievous is an absolute rock star
in my mind.
Speaker 4 (42:24):
I love that picks, but.
Speaker 2 (42:25):
He's a litle annoying. I will say that the one
thing about him, he is a touch annoying.
Speaker 4 (42:29):
Do are you referring to the coopd.
Speaker 2 (42:32):
Is at the I don't know what that means.
Speaker 4 (42:35):
His breathing like his breathing.
Speaker 2 (42:38):
No, I just think I think he's a little whiny
at times. But he's such an awesome in battle and stuff,
like the fact he has his own signature moves and stuff.
Speaker 3 (42:45):
He's awesome, very cool in battle for sure. Uh Okay,
I'm gonna go with another character who is so pivotal
to the series, Obi Wan Kenobi. I think he's fabulous,
very very appealing. Character, kind of plays that Vanilla role
of like you know, if you're talking X men. He's
the Cyclops of that universe. Vanilla does what's right, boy
(43:07):
scout type character, and I just I relate to those
a lot. I don't really know why, but I do
like them. And then the funniest character in the Star
Wars universe C three p I cannot believe three po
still on the board for my fourth pick, but I'm delighted.
I think I might have gotten this exact board if
I had picked it beforehand.
Speaker 2 (43:25):
Oh, I can't believe this guy fell. Luke Skywalker. Luke
Skywalker followed as far as criminal. I didn't want to
take him. I wanted to go a little bit more obscure.
I think it's in bad taste to name characters while
the draft is still going on. Luke Skywalker, give me
the greatest. You use the term boy scout, but the
greatest boy scout there's ever been.
Speaker 4 (43:45):
That's that's actually facts. Good point.
Speaker 1 (43:49):
Okay, I'm eyeing up Gredo here, you know, Credo, guys,
I'm for our email listeners. Bad was on my list.
That bad may padme rocks.
Speaker 4 (44:06):
She's very cool.
Speaker 1 (44:06):
She's you, She's underratedly cool.
Speaker 2 (44:09):
Also great Carot, great character, great, great costumes.
Speaker 3 (44:15):
Like emotional core, the emotional core of the best story
in the franchise.
Speaker 1 (44:21):
She is a great character. She adds so much, doesn't
take away anything. They don't like make her too corner
or anything. She has a person She's a woman with
personality in a show. I think that's cool. And she
was hot growing up, So you know.
Speaker 2 (44:35):
We're gonna we're gonna do an all time like hot
like for like when you were a kid. Like the
draft sort of thing.
Speaker 1 (44:41):
Also, m Solo did not get taken. I'm sorry Han
Solo did not geld take.
Speaker 4 (44:46):
Don Solo is number one of my also rans.
Speaker 2 (44:48):
Yeah, Han Solo was not going on my draft board.
I think he's kind of annoying. I think he's kind
of a buzz kill.
Speaker 1 (44:53):
Darth was my next guy.
Speaker 2 (44:55):
Darth Maul was my was my next one. Lando Calrisian
is also fantastic. Both both Jenga and Boba Fett did
not get selected in this one. That Ahsoka didn't get selected,
and she's great. We also didn't draft. I think this
is one of the other top ten villains of all time. Palpatine.
(45:16):
The fact that he cloaks everyone into thinking that he's
this good guy and that he wants peace and order
and he actually has this whole thing and he conceals
his dark energy from everybody else is kind of wild.
And then I'll give one more. BB eight. I like
BB eight, I don't.
Speaker 4 (45:32):
I don't.
Speaker 2 (45:32):
I think he is maybe the best character from seven
eight to nine, or it says a lot because he
says nothing the entire movie.
Speaker 1 (45:41):
He's cute Yaddle Yoda's brother who appears on screen twice,
one of my favorites.
Speaker 4 (45:48):
All right, get behind that.
Speaker 3 (45:52):
I'm gonna shout out jar Jar Bieks. As you get older,
I think you're either double height jar Jar or you're like,
you know what charge is?
Speaker 4 (46:02):
Okay?
Speaker 3 (46:02):
Do you need a comic relief character in every movie?
And that's jar Jar? Now how much that works has
kind up to you. Also like the Potter racing champion
who ends up racing Anakin in the first film. Also,
I thought Finn was very cool from.
Speaker 4 (46:19):
The last three films.
Speaker 2 (46:20):
They screwed him there.
Speaker 4 (46:22):
He should have been a Jedi, should have been a Jedi.
Speaker 2 (46:25):
Job of the Hut. I think Job of the Hut
is a misunderstood character. He is just trying to make
it in a world that does not understand him. Yeah,
everyone hates the hustle. I don't know if this is
a hot take or not. Rogue One, I love that
movie is very good. Rogue One might be. I think
it might be the best movie in general. I think
(46:48):
it is so good.
Speaker 1 (46:51):
That movies is incredible.
Speaker 3 (46:52):
And potentially the best scene individually in any Star Wars
film when all they're all the guys are firing in
the dark hallway and you see Vader's red light saber hit.
I'm getting chills thinking about.
Speaker 2 (47:03):
It, like, yeah, that's a rewatch right there.
Speaker 1 (47:06):
We need to watch that.
Speaker 2 (47:07):
We'll just we we need ideas. Maybe what's on your mind?
He's rewatched like ten minutes of movies.
Speaker 3 (47:13):
Watch along Rogue one catch us for episode fifty one.
Speaker 2 (47:17):
If mall didn't didn't get selected, honestly they did. That
was the first that was.
Speaker 1 (47:21):
Yeah, that was the next one.
Speaker 2 (47:22):
For sure, we could say the same kind of silo.
I don't like Kylo Ren. I think he's annoying.
Speaker 4 (47:30):
He is kind of an EO.
Speaker 1 (47:33):
Well, guys, I think that's gonna do it for us.
What an episode?
Speaker 4 (47:38):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (47:38):
I had a great time. You guys, got anything for
the people? Before we get on out of here.
Speaker 3 (47:45):
Drop a comment below and let us know what color
your lightsaber would be?
Speaker 4 (47:48):
What would just babes.
Speaker 2 (47:51):
I think you might think of? I don't know. I
feel like they wouldn't give me one that wouldn't trust me.
Speaker 4 (47:57):
Just be a blaster guy.
Speaker 2 (47:58):
Just be a blaster guy. I'm just actually the third
one training to me in a throuttle with R two,
D two and C three po.
Speaker 3 (48:06):
Fabulous, Nate, your lightsaber will be?
Speaker 4 (48:08):
What color?
Speaker 2 (48:10):
Nate's a green? For sure?
Speaker 4 (48:12):
I did.
Speaker 1 (48:13):
Yeah, probably.
Speaker 3 (48:15):
I thought I might be blue or green either. I'm
not sure you're blue. Might I might be blue. I
might be a blue.
Speaker 4 (48:21):
I'm kind of a boy scout, I guess.
Speaker 1 (48:23):
