Proudly Resents: Best of Adam Felber

Adam Felber, “Wait, Wait Don’t Tell Me” and writer for “Real Time with Bill Maher” recaps the best of the worst movies ever! Adam Felber has been a guest as both a reviewer and a straight man. Here’s a collection of his best appearances. Adam Felber joins me to review Nic Cage’s “Wickerman,” “Old Dogs” “Pluti Nash,” a couple of crappy Christmas movies, Gary Busey as a talking dog and more. Adam Felber also plays straight man to the great Jeff Cesario and Andres Du Bouchet. Adam Felber plays a literal lunatic side kick on a sports show and 1/2 of the worst movie review team with Andres Du bouchet. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Adam Felber is an American political satirist, author, radio personality, actor, humorist, novelist, television writer, and comic book writer. Biography Felber attended Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts, and graduated as an English major in 1989. He has lived in Brooklyn, New York, and now lives in Los Angeles, California. He is a regular panel member (and occasional guest host) of the NPR radio quiz show, Wait Wait… Don’t Tell Me!. Felber is the author of the novel Schrödinger’s Ball, which uses as a conceit the concept of Schrödinger’s cat. He has also written for several television shows including Real Time with Bill Maher, Talkshow with Spike Feresten, Arthur, The Smoking Gun, and Wishbone. Felber is also writing the second Skrull Kill Krew limited series for Marvel Comics. Felber’s mother is the late romance novelist, Edith Layton. Adam Felber writes and performs for screens of all sizes and resolutions, and he spends almost every night on some stage or another. He comprises one third of the Irwin Smalls Trio, a sketch comedy group. His writing credits include PBS’ Arthur and Wishbone as well as AMC’s soon-to-premiere The Wrong Coast. He also writes for The Smoking Gun TV show. His first screenplay, Women Are From, is currently in development at Paramount/MTV Films. Felber has been improvising comedy all over the world for the past 15 years, but he can quit any time he wants to. In addition to his many talents, he is also an accomplished blogger.

Billy Crystal, co-wrote, directed, starred and conducted his own Oscar campaign for this movie “Mr. Saturday Night.” It’s about a comedian who steals everyone’s Jackie’s jokes and ends up wearing really bad make up that’s supposed to make you look old. Mad Max: Fury Road is out and we saw it! Adam Felber (NPR) and Todd Levin  (Conan) join me in their review. “Mad Max:Fury Road” stars Tom Hardy, and Nicholas Hoult. Todd and I record in a sketchy alley behind Sunset and Curson. Right near Meltdown Comics where you can watch “Horrible Movie Night.”  From IMDB: n a stark desert landscape where humanity is broken, two rebels just might be able to restore order:...

Adam Felber (NPR) returns to talk about the “In The Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale.”  (listen to the review and watch the whole movie)  The master director, Uwe Boll,  makes a film with very little dungeons and not one siege. Imagine “Lord of the Rings” with Jason Statham as Frodo Baggins, Burt Reynolds as the king and lots of fake boobs.  Matthew Lillard (FX’s “The Bridge” and R...

Neil Breen’s (“Pass Thru”) second film is actually called “I Am Here….Now” (trailer below). It’s fantastic from the moment you notice the error in the title. In the title! This is a crazy movie. It opens with Jesu not Jesus coming from outer space in a paper weight (yep) to stop corruption and literally lay with a prostitute. Also this movie has an environmental message. This is one of the ...

Writer/director Paul Sullivan, NPR’s Adam Felber (“Wait, Wait Don’t Tell Me”) & I recap “Quigley.” You know the movie where Gary Busey plays a mean computer game business type guy who is turned into a dog. As a dog, Gary  learns about life, flimsy sets, terrible special effect, non-comedic timing and how to sleep through a role. “Quigley”  also features Booger, Patrick from “...

Nic Cage’s “Wicker Man” is a must see & a cult classic. Scene after scene of “what-the-heckness?” awaits. Adam Felber (NPR, “Real Time W/Bill Maher”) joins us to discuss the worst remake ever and to find out, “How’d it get burned?” This movie is over stuffed with bad lines, ridiculous plot twists… actually no plot twists. Oh, it ends with Nic Cage in a bear suit....

Take the #1 comedian, a super hot actress, every movie cliche, fat jokes, ball biting penguins and then over-cooked (no pun intended).  Adam Felber (NPR) and actress Judith Benezra  join host Adam Spiegelman finding the unintentional funniest scenes.
