Hi everybody, welcome to the podcast today.

It has been a busy couple weeks.
I'm sure it has been for all of you too.
I totally did not get a podcast in last week with the holiday and all the festivities and
stuff.
And in the spirit of being kinder to myself in 2025, I just let it go.
I'm not going to let it feel like a failure that I didn't get everything done.

I'm not going to feel bad about it.
I'm just going to or I did just say, okay, that's how that's how it went.
So yay.
It's busy here on the ranch.
We change pastures because we have two herds, my little Highland herd and then the bigger

speckle park Angus herd and we have to be very aware of water.
We are hauling water to my Highland herd and then we have a big tank that was hooked
to a gas generator pump to pump water out of the big slough for the big herd.

one morning, they didn't come up to visit me like they normally do.
And so I had to go track them down and being that it was a super hot day.
I was wearing some blue shorts and my pink and black muck boots being very stylish.

I go to find them and they're all by the tank, but it's completely dry.
They drank all the water, and they're yelling at me that they are so thirsty, and what is
happening?
Why aren't I taking better care of them?
Alrighty then.
So I have to tramp over a fence through a swamp, hoping there are no alligators. Hahaha

We don't have alligators here, but that doesn't mean It didn't cross my mind. I started the pump
to suck the water out of the slough into their tank.
As I was going about this adventure, I was really thinking maybe I should have put on pants
but oh well, and then I heard crashing through the bush and I immediately froze thinking

please don't be a bear or a cougar or something that is going to harm me.
Luckily for me, it was my dog.
I should have known because the cows didn't spook, but you know when you're in that moment,
do I fight or flight?
Yeah.

Anyways, it was super hot and the cows were drinking the water
as fast as it was going in.
I did find some wild strawberries though so I feel like that was my present from the universe
for being out there and taking care of this situation.
(03:06):
So I hung out for a while and then I left because again the cows were drinking the water as
fast as it was coming in so I figured why stick around?
It's going to take a very long time.
So I drove back to the house.
I did put on pants for my next expedition out there and yeah, good times, good times.

Like really cows.
Normally they come up and drink out of the drinkers at the corral system but they didn't
that day and seem to feel like I needed to go and check them out and take care of them
perhaps it was all about the wild strawberries.
Thanks ladies and gentlemen, the two bulls were there too.
When I did go back, the pump had ran out of gas and the tank was only about a quarter

full but they'd all left and found a forest to go hide in in the heat so it was all right.
That's how that went.
You know what?
Every day since then they have come up.
I don't know.
I don't know what's happening.
This morning when I went out to do all my chores, my horses were very spooky.

My dog has been mad at something barking quite a bit but then my cat I looked out and he's
laying on the top of a car, happily sunning himself.
It's not a position I've ever seen him in before but while everybody else is edgy upset,
he's just chilling.
Just chilling and enjoying.

Good times.
After doing this podcast, I am going to go haul water to my highlands.
We switched them pastures so now it's significantly easier.
I'm still waiting on one to have her baby.
I'm pretty sure she's going to have one because she's got that energy about her but she is

taking her time.
So today for the guided meditation, we are doing a restoring peace of mind journey.
Feels timely, right?
I also want to say that last week I did an energy clearing on boundaries and oh my gosh,

that was a lot.
So really think about what your boundaries are.
Make sure that you understand your boundaries and if someone's crossing them or you're not
upholding them and saying yes when you really want to say no, do some self reflection.

So restoring peace of mind with everything being so uncertain and it's creating energies
of being irritated, being angry, being resentful.
So we need to let some things go and to let them go, we're going to do this restoring peace

of mind journey.
When I went out to bring my horses in just a little bit ago because they're on a timer,
they only get to be out having green grass for a few hours because of my emotional eater
with my favorite.
He was a little sore a couple of weeks ago and so I've been really, really vigilant giving
(06:56):
him his medicine and keeping track of the time and it's worth it because I got to ride him
and it was so much fun.
He wasn't spooky but his friend was and that's the same friend that was really spooky this
morning.
So I'm not sure what's going on with him.
I'm going to have to do a little energy work.

I did do a big energy shift clearing on them and that helped a lot.
So make sure you're taking care of yourself, you guys.
In all the uncertainty, it can manifest as grouchy.
So take the time to replenish, take the time to do this restoring peace of mind journey

as often as you need it.
This journey works
It really, really does.
Yeah.
What are you doing this summer for yourself?
I thought I would be less busy but I do it to myself and I enjoy it so I'm not complaining.

I'm still doing my laughter yoga Thursdays with the seniors so much fun.
So I'm using my laughter for well-being exercises to bring myself back to a state of calm.
(08:27):
We can easily be out of that state of calm just dealing with life circumstances and I use
the laughter for well-being to regulate my nervous system.
I am trained in polybagal theory so I understand how to do that and that's what I use it for.
(08:49):
One of my favourite ones that I do before the podcast all the time, that you can use when
you have to speak or have a conversation that might be uncomfortable but you need some
clarity and understanding and you need to do it.
Here's what you're going to do.
I'm going to tell you how it goes and then we will do it together, so take a nice breath in
(09:13):
and then on your alt breath you are going to say 'The-the-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve-ve'
and do the 'oe' part as long as you can
nice breath in and then when you breathe it out you are doing the 've-ve-ve-ve-ve' sound and then the 'oe' as long as you can

when you are expelling all the oxygen from your lungs, so your next breath is
completely replenishing and rejuvenating you. Does that make sense? All right, let's try it together.

Nice, now Breathe in.

How does that make you feel?
Do you feel a little re-energized?
Let's try it one more time, you ready?
Breathe in, nice breath in.

This is gonna help you do a reset and a replenish,

where it rejuvenates if you wish.
And so you're gonna be able to speak
and do what you need to do
from a place of groundedness and centeredness.
As you know, I'm totally delighted and enchanted
with this laughter yoga
and I'm creating my own laughter for wellbeing programs.

Use it all the time, 'cause life is bumpy.
We all need some exercises and some tips and tools
to keep us grounded, centered, so we can restore
a piece of mind.
(laughing)
Yeah, so that there's more laughter in our lives.
You know what else I did this week?
(11:35):
I did pickleball.
It was my first time doing pickleball
in a group officially
and there was a very lovely lady teaching us how to do it
and it was so much fun.
I will be doing it again.
I think pickleball is another way to shift energies
(11:56):
and we have so much fun.
We laughed a lot.
And so combining laughter yoga exercises
and pickleball could be in my future.
(laughing)
I do know the doing this laughter exercises
has totally increased my fitness
and it's been fun and gentle and easy.

So we're gonna go ahead and do our laughter,

Now I'm all distracted.
I mean the restoring peace of mind, guided imagery.
So that we can move forward.
We can do what we need to do
and we're feeling refreshed,
rejuvenated and calm.
All right, here we go.

I invite you to become aware of your breathing
for a few moments.
As breathing and being, being and breathing.
(13:22):
And as you begin to settle more comfortably
into the solid support beneath you,
I invite you to take three big deep breaths.
And on one of those breaths,

you'll know when your eyes will close,
and as you're normal, natural rhythm of breathing continues.
Remain focus on the sound of my voice,
as all the other sounds begin to drift into the background.
Because they're unimportant to you.
And as you're normal, natural rhythm of breathing continues.

Remain focus on the sound of my voice,
as all the other sounds begin to drift into the background.
Because they're unimportant for you to pay attention to,
they can only help you to relax.
And even though you may drift away
from the sound of my voice for a few moments,

you will sense when to come back to it
in an easy and effortless way.
At this point, as your concentration draws to your feet,
you begin to visualize and imagine
you're walking in a place that's beautiful and serene and safe.

And with every breath you take,
you give yourself permission to send a comforting energy
as it goes through your legs,
from the toes into your heels,
this comforting energy goes into your ankles, knees,
(15:17):
and thighs.
You become aware of this comfortable sensation
that's in your legs as you walk through the beauty,
the peacefulness, and the serenity of your special place.
(15:39):
With every breath, you begin to sense the air around you.
It's a gentle something that sends a warm
and nurturing sensation all around your body,
from your thighs, hips, your stomach area,
and through your solar plexus,

you begin to become even more comfortable
as a deep inner calm begins to be experienced.
As all of your senses begin to heighten
because you become more and more aware
of all that is around you in this beautiful, safe, serene place.

You continue to feel even more calm
as this comfortable sensation moves through your chest.
As you breathe easily and effortlessly,
making your way through this place
that is so peaceful and secure for you.

As you notice the sounds around you, as you listen,
the beauty of where you are speaks to you
in a very special way.
Your head, your neck, and your shoulders
(17:09):
begin to release and to comfort.
Letting go of all the cares in the worries.
Being here now, breathing and being, letting it all go.
And in a moment or two, you begin to visualize
or imagine choosing a particular spot

in this beautiful place of yours to recline
and rejuvenate into an even deeper comfort.
And with every breath you take,
your comfort now seems to double having made that decision.
Be warmed and be gentle,

something of the air seems to wrap itself around you even more.
As though there is a wholehearted agreement
about the spot in your place that you are reaching out to.
With your arms, your hands and fingers relaxing

as they touch, what is there?
Comfortable and easy.
And you become aware of the textures,
as you imagine settling into the comfort that awaits you.
And just a love for this time to connect to the beauty
(18:37):
and peacefulness that is here for you.
All you have to do is breathe, just breathe simply and with ease
and comfortably allowing, breathing and being,

being and breathing in a moment
when we count backwards from five to zero.
You'll feel yourself become even more deeply connected
to this spot at zero, five, four, three, two, one,

zero, deeply relaxed and connected,
deeply relaxed and connected.
As you continue being deeply relaxed and connected,
I invite you to allow an imagination door to open.

Images come forward, nothing better than to settle in this place.
To quiet, to calm the security of your place.
Going within to focus leads to more comfort.
Centres become heightened now and more and more settling

into an even greater comfort.
Preparing to know how being in your place right now
is getting past it.
Just getting past it, getting past what all has happened
and now here in this peaceful quiet, it is all behind.

Nothing to do, nothing to figure out,
just being and breathing alone, secure
and in the place where comfort and peacefulness exists.
Best way to think about it all, over, done, gone, closed door.

and comfort and peacefulness are all around you
and all through you.
Timing is everything and this time right now
is all about regrouping, renewing, comforting and restoring.

In a moment, if it seems right,

beginning to allow a sense of a wise guide,
to join you,
again, it's all about restoring and perhaps
maybe the kindness and compassion

and the security of the wise guide could possibly be helpful.
Allow your wise guide to come forth right now.
Sometimes it's just better not talking about anything

just having a kind and helpful presence nearby.
Feeling supported, feeling comforted,
that wise guide just being there for you
and drifting even deeper now into this lovely relaxation

with the comfort and security of the place,
all around and all through.
Restoring, healing,
mending,
repairing,
rejuvenating,
nothing to do, nothing to figure out,

just breathing,
allowing the energy to do all the work of restoring,
healing,
mending,
repairing,
rejuvenating,
letting the calm and the comfort and the quiet be all that they can be.

Nothing to do, nothing to figure out,
just simple and easy,
just breathing and being,

And in this quiet time,
letting the comfort and calm settle even more deeply within

knowing
feeling,
integrating that each number I count back
is simply reinforcing energetically this peaceful healing

into every cell of your being,
all of your mind body spirit systems,
as you continue deeply, deeply relaxing.
