Hey, we have a fun episodehere for you. We got a
special guest join us soon. Can'twait. Now, I'm pretty stoked about
before we get there. Uh,you know, Lish just told me there's
a new Nicholas Cage movie coming out. I feel like the podcast is slowly
(00:49):
becoming the Nicholas Cage fan club.Yeah, that's my goal from the get
It took me four weeks Punch Farmthe Nicolas Cage fan click man. But
if we can get him on theshow, mission accomplish. Yeah. Really,
Now this is uh, We're gonnaplay the trailer here and do like
I hate to do, a reactionlive commentary. Yeah you know how you
(01:11):
know YouTube err has got reaction videos. Yeah, but we're gonna do one
here on a podcast, So it'snot a reaction video, it's a reaction
listen, So listen, go findthis video because Mandy, Yeah, Mandy
Starry Nicholas Cage. We're gonna watchit here, hopefully I don't blow out
the speakers coming to a vo Dnear you. It's like it's like it's
(01:36):
a new Nicholas Cage horror movie. But it looks insane. Let's uh as
far as the sucker up? Whowould shutter hyppy? Yeah? Yeah,
but look at Nick Man, he'slooking. I think he's like back on
(01:59):
this game hard. It's the beard. The beard makes I do like the
music closed around the serpent side. She almost has the look of a young
Shelley Duvall. Oh yeah, shehad a creepy look too. Yeah,
(02:25):
like those giant eyes. That's whythis girl looks looks like the road warrior
in this or an alien. Doesit not remind you? It looks like
almost like an alien abduction scene therer I was gonna say, I'm gonna
(02:45):
say, hell raisor yeah yeah yeah, let must be so very special,
looks so bizarre. Nicholas Gage givesthe performances like, can't possibly be true?
An Oscar winner? What is he? What weapon is that? It
(03:09):
looks like the what's that? Crazyevil? It totally looks like The Road
Warrior set in the woods in loveand now we got animation. This is
incredible. The Tiger. They areputting every positive review of course within strange
(03:46):
and oh nice this this is totallythe Road Warrior or set in the woods.
Now we got fights with chainsaws.Well he's a lumberjack. Nice soon,
(04:09):
That's all it said. Not coming, so I couldn't find a date
for coming out. Um, allit said was like to be announced,
and I was like, it justkind of seeps on the page seven of
Netflix. Now. Uh, justlistening to it everyone, I mean it
still has it's just hearing the musicand the stuff they're saying. There's a
(04:31):
lot of hype, but you haveto see this trailer. Um, I
have a feeling. Wasn't a fanof Nicholas Cage, you know, I
didn't care about him, didn't seehis other movies whatever. That trailer was
so interesting, so bizarre. Havethe feeling, right as a longtime horror
fan, that trailer in the movieare going to be completely different, you
(04:59):
know, I just have a feeling. I just have a feeling because you've
seen I've seen trailers like this beforewhere they try to spin it one way
to make it this. I meanthat looks like alien slash paranormal slash road
warrior type of thing, yet alittle ash. Uh this is the Evil
(05:19):
Day? Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah, And I just that's just
the you know how studios do thatshitty thing where they spin it a trailer
one way, but it's movies actuallysomething. I think if any of the
music that was in the trailer isin the movie, it's gotta be somewhat
close. Yeah. Well I thought, you know, as silly as some
(05:40):
of it looked, some of thosefights looked pretty cool. Yeah, it
looks pretty good some of those andthat whatever that was with a kitchen when
he grabbed like a chef's knife, and that looked kind of cool. The
chainsaw was a little ridiculous, butit still looks he's going to have access
to those that I missed that moviethat he that's that's his career. On
the IMDb page, it says he'sa lumberjack. Yeah, well that's why
(06:03):
he would have giant chainsaws. Yeah, that's why. When he uncovered that
magical looking item, it was abig ass accent. Yeah, it looked
like weapons, Like, what areyou gonna do? With that. Yeah,
it looked like the weapon Klingons used. What's the hell are those things
called? Do you know what?I start? Big Curve played and he
(06:23):
has the handles. That's what itkind of looked like. Yeah, that
was that was speaking a Star Trek. I don't know. Did you hear
the news? Patrick? Ye?Yes, I don't. I don't know
what it's gonna be though, ButPatrick Stewart playing John Luke Paccard again.
Yeah, he's coming back as JohnLuke Paccard. Yeah. God, I'm
(06:44):
so excited. I hope so,because the last couple of Star Trek series
haven't been that good. I haven'twatched any of the newest one yet.
Yeah. Enterprize was, uh thatwas the prequel one, right, Yeah,
that was the last one I watched, and I was not a fan
even was even with Scott back youlook and I like him, but it
just it wasn't that interesting. Ithink that writing just wasn't that good.
(07:09):
But if we could get back tolike, I'm very excited to see this
movie. Yeah, whether you know, whether we go Jeff's route, it's
gonna suck. No, I didn'tsay that, I said I think the
trailer is going to be different fromthe movie. I don't know how it
could be. I mean, justthe clips, it's so bizarre. Yeah,
(07:31):
and then then the name Mandy right, well, that's her name.
It almost feels like whoever made, whoever is behind this movie made it for
a Nicholas Cage horror movie. Maybeit's so bizarre evil. It looks like
he's got like his Cameron Poe character. Yeah, he's got the scruffy hair,
(07:55):
the beer. But he's a fighter, right. Um, we got
a little bit of a problem solver. So he's he's like a Benjamin Gate.
So he's like the culmination of hisentire body of work coming to this
one character. It's gonna be soawesome. I hope the chance that hasn't
(08:18):
done a horror movie before, hashe? I mean other than The Wicker
Man, which I don't consider ahorror movie. It was it was it
was horror for me to watch it. Yeah. Remember he was in a
bear costume and pushed a woman ina face. There's not a lot of
movies that have a scene with NicholasCage in a bear costume doing that.
That's true, So there's always that. Yeah, and he's never been in
(08:39):
a horror movie. There was Vampire'sKiss, which was a forest because he
thought he was turning into a Yeah, it's hilarious, but I mean a
true horror movie. He hasn't beena vampire. It's hilarious. Wrong actor,
Yeah, yeah, has no.There was one movie called pay the
Ghost. Oh yes, but wasit even? Was it even a paranormal
(09:03):
story? Was it the title? Was it misleading? I didn't see it
because yeah, no, it wasn'tthat. Uh, he's in There's probably
a half dozen other on Netflix rightnow. Though they're all suspense movies,
right, suspense thrillers, but noneof them that were just flat out horror
movie. Yeah. So maybe he'llexcel in this. You know, it's
(09:24):
a new genre for him, andmaybe he'll just do better. I'd hope.
Well, we'll see. Yeah,it's what did you say? It's
something evil? Oh my god,I love it. I'm glad you told
me about this today. I amsuper pumped. I will be there in
(09:48):
line. So maybe there will bea line at the at the theater,
but I'll be there, and Iyou know, I you know, as
a fan, I wouldn't I wouldlove to see Nick Cage have a Hit
and have everybody. That's what Iwas thinking, is that I get for
a while he was doing every singlemovie to get out of whatever debt,
(10:09):
financial trouble. Well, yeah, all that stuff he went through, but
then he ended up just stuck atthe bottom because he was taking every single
not like he stopped being a goodactor or anything like that. He just
took too many movies to take toomany paychecks. So it's like, do
something to get well. I don'tknow if you saw Joe that came out
a couple of years ago with NoI've never heard of it. I think
(10:30):
that's on Netflix right now too. It's it's more just like a drama.
He's like an X con that endsup taking this kid under his wing,
and the kid has like an alcoholicfather and they're just in some crappy run
downtown. But yeah, it's notlike fun to watch. It's a it's
an awesome performance from him, butit's still just he can't get back to
where he was. Do you ever, do you ever stop being a good
(10:52):
actor? Like if you're if you'rea great actor, I would say,
do you get a lousy yes?Has time him goes on? Or you
just if you have bad performance? Is it due to the script? Oh?
Wait, oh my god, whois that special message coming through?
Its just BJ? This is he? What's up? Hey? What's going
(11:16):
on? Hey? Can you hearus? All right? I can?
Can you hear me? Okay,we can hear you perfectly. Now,
Hey, welcome to the show. It's been a little bit, it has,
it really has. I appreciate youletting me come so late into the
game. That's not it's not lateat all. Man. I remember last
season you had a whole uh segmenton our show called Pj's Picks. But
(11:39):
yeah, you gave up on thatfirst Yeah. Speaking of which, speaking
of the devil, I want toapologize to you guys, I've been a
awful friend. Oh I didn't know, I d I did drop the ball
on that I got you know,I got super busy and distracted and then
you know, and then like thelast probably four or five months been kind
(12:01):
of a cluster fuck here in Owen'sRow with all the break in and yeah,
all that was going on. Soso I've really, like I said,
I kind of dropped a majority.That's me. So I can't come
up with too many excuses. Now. Now for listeners new and old.
Uh. This is PJ. Starks, writer, director, actor u Vaus
(12:24):
of Blood Uh Anthology. He iscreating some magic down there in Kentucky.
Uh. We're big, We're bigfans. We've had him on several episodes
and now bj uh. Since sincethen, a lot of things have changed,
just different people on the podcast.Uh, NICKI Mark, we're on.
There's still best buzz. They don'thave time to come on anymore.
But we have other awesome friends thatare fans of years because I keep telling
(12:48):
them, please watch this movie.Yep, we got Jeff so Jeff PJ.
Yeah, Hello, nice to meetyou, Benny, PJ PJ.
Hello, Uh and yeah, they'vethey had to deal with me telling them
about your movie. So they knowthey know about you and I just you
have you have very low standards whenit comes to fans. I know that's
(13:09):
what's keep hearing. Now. Seriously, I just picked up the uh the
Blue ray, the special edition forVolumes of Blood. Awesome. Thank you.
Now, I'm curious because you know, I saw about the special features
and that's what I really wanted. What do we got going on on this
one? Um? So you'll getI think it's like three of what was
(13:33):
on the original release. Um,because when when Elsie Films originally released Volumes
of Blood, they had a slewof stuff to choose from. For some
odd reason, when they released it, even on the blue ray, they
only put like three special features onthere. Um, So what's happened with
(13:58):
this? So we never really gotthe release that we wanted. So what's
happened with this? Now that we'vepartnered up with uh, you know,
Scream Team releasing, they are sothey put the movie back out, So
you get the original three special features, you get all the unreleased special features
(14:20):
on what was supposed to be theoriginal release. But now you're getting all
that and there's three brand new, like newly produced special features that that was
put together within the last several months. That kind of talks about one's kind
of just about how the whole thingreally came to be. Another one is
(14:41):
kind of talks about the impact, but not necessarily from us. So I
reached out to you know, somesome film like film reviewers and a couple
actor friends and a few filmmaker friends, because I felt it would mean more
if it was kind of from theirperson active as you know, what their
(15:01):
thoughts were about, um, howthe film resonated with horror fans and stuff
like that. So so there's there'sone about that, and then and then
there's a third one and it escapesme what it is. But you'll love
it. You will love it.I can't wait if you'll be a surprise.
(15:22):
Oh boy. Um, now beforewe jump in, because I know
you got an announcement, you gotthe third one rocking. Um. We
were just in the middle of discussingthis new trailer, Nicholas Cage movie.
Mandy, have you seen this yet? I have not seen that. I've
seen I've seen it, but I'veseen stills and of course i've seen what's
(15:43):
become kind of like the iconic photoof a very dirty Nicholas Cage and blood
looking Nicholas Cage. I've seen that. Um. So, I mean,
truthfully, I know very little aboutthe project, But do you like if
it has Nicolas Cage in it,I'm going going to watch. I don't
(16:03):
I don't have to see some synopsis. Someone could just hand me a photo
with the title on it, andI'm like, I'm going to check that
out right, Because he's kind ofa he's kind of a guilty pleasure for
me. So I'm just gonna behonest. Oh yeah, yeah, I
wonder if he likes that, Likeevery movie is everybody's like guilty pleasure of
him. He's like, you know, fuck that. You know, I
(16:26):
made some good movies, guys,Well I did. He really has.
He has a very odd career, you know, because Yeah, and even
even now that he does a lotof these straight to video movies, he's
still he still does, you know. I mean there's there's I've seen a
few where it felt like he wasphoning it in. But even if he
phones it in, I still enjoyIt's. It's it's for me. It's
(16:48):
really hard not to enjoy, especiallywhen you get crazy Nick Cage, which
I have. I have Mom andDad, which I have still have not
seen yet, but I went aheadand bought it at Family Video and I've
never um it's it's it's basically aboutlike one day parents start going insane.
(17:11):
There's some kind of a virus andit makes parents want to kill their children.
And yes, Nicholas Cage is thedad, and then um the mom
is played by Selma Blair. Sothey come home and they and they're trying
they they're trying to kill their children. So it becomes this fight for survival
(17:32):
of kids against parents, and thatsounds from what from what I'm to understand,
you basically get crazy Nick Cage aboutninety percent of the movie. So
I know that I'm gonna like it, and so I just don't went ahead
and bought it. That's awesome.Yeah, now now we've got Nick Cage
out the way. I'm glad.We oh, we all collectively love Nick
(17:55):
Cage. That's perfect because I'm like, okay, good deal. We keep
talking to tell if some of thoselike I couldn't tell if some of those
noises were growns, Like, oh, you gotta be kidding. Yeah,
awesome, we just said that,Like crap. We talked about Nick Cage
so much. This show is becominglike the Nick Cage podcast. BJ what
you what do you have going on? Man? I know you got the
(18:17):
three in the works. A lotof awesome stuff happening. Yeah we Yeah,
volumes of Blood three were in preproduction on that um. We just
recently held open auditions we did.We did a live casting call here in
Owensboro. We had like sixty peoplecome through, which was far more than
what we expected. To actually showup, and we got a lot of
(18:38):
really we got a lot of reallygreat talent that came through. A lot
of people came came in really surprisedus that we enjoyed. And um,
and then you know, we putthe casting call out there on the interweb
and we got I mean, atthis point, well over two hundred emails,
which I would be lying if Isaid wasn't overwhelming, because once again,
(19:02):
we were not expecting that response.Wow. And then so once you
know, so once you get thatmany people asking about doing auditions, Um,
of course we had to respond toall the emails, send, send
the sides for people to do theirvideo auditions. Um. And we I
mean, we got people pretty muchfrom every state in the US, Wow,
(19:26):
wanting to audition for the movie.Yeah. So it was it was
really really cool and and uh,like I said, it was, it
was not something that we anticipated. So, um, We've been watching a
lot of video auditions and uh sothis is probably the biggest audition process,
(19:48):
Um, I mean that I've everdealt with. And UM, yeah,
so it's been uh, it's beenreally cool. And then and then so
you know, we're getting ready tomove next into the financing stage because we're
finalizing the casting. Um, wehave we have quite a few of the
actors. We haven't notified anybody yet, but we do it. We sat
(20:11):
down the other night and kind ofwent over everybody we liked, and we're
gonna we're gonna do a little bitmore of that tomorrow night. But uh,
but yeah, so so we're aboutpretty much done with the casting.
We have a few. We havea few named actors. I'm not gonna
say who just yet, so we'llbe announcing that that are interested. And
I can announce one right now, right uh one of the big name that's
(20:34):
that would be me doing another classicvoiceover Jeremy. Well, we'll have to
give you, though, a differentname to say that way, I can't
say we copped out and just usedthe same audio track a second movie.
Yeah, maybe maybe I get twowords like hey Jeremy. Yes, that'll
(20:55):
switch it up a little bit. It'll be like it's his best performance yet
it had so much more depth. It was it was almost like one extra
word. Now, how many uhuh short set or segments are in this
anthology? This time, we wewent back to uh, we went back
to five like in the first film, But then I came up with another
(21:21):
idea. So technically there's six,but really it's five stories like the first
film. But there's six sequences intotal um and in this film, and
does it like the second one thoughthe sixth one is kind of a mini
sequence space? Okay, Now doesit connect to all the two previous movies?
Is it all downs from other movieslike a little Easter eggs or just
(21:48):
I mean I'm assuming about okay? It? Uh, you know, the
first two films they touch, especiallythe second one touches on the first film,
but they were designed to where youcould watch one without the other and
still kind of know what's going onand not be confused and still enjoy it.
This one is the same. Soeven though it goes back to the
(22:11):
first and it covers part of thefirst, it covers part of the second,
if you have returning characters, It'sall written in such a way to
where, if you haven't seen theother two films, you can come into
this movie and still have an ideaof what's happening and what's going on,
and but and but then it becomesits own thing, its own movie,
(22:33):
where it really at that point itreally kind of becomes volumes of blood three
to where you know, it bringsin all these brand new characters. And
the basic concept is it's the morningof Halloween and the night before these horrible
atrocities happened across Ownsborough, and thesefour people have been arrested the following morning,
(23:00):
essentially the survivors and or maybe they'resurvivors, so they're all arrested because
in real life, and usually ina lot of movies, like when the
movie's over with the police and themts are walking around and the survivors are
just sitting there with blankets on andit's like, oh, well we survived.
(23:22):
It's great, you know, everything'sgood. But in real life,
they arrest you until they can figureshit out because they don't know what happened,
and that makes sense. They're goingto arrest you temporarily until they can
find out whether or not you're aguilty party, depending on the scenario.
So if there's a bunch of deadbodies and you're covered in blood, even
(23:45):
if you survived, you're gonna looka bit sketchy to a stranger, especially
a stranger cop. So so that'swhat's happened, is these people have been
arrested and they're each taken in toan interrogation room one by one and they're
asked to recount their take on whathappened the night before. And then what
(24:07):
happens is it goes back to thenight before, which is Devil's Night,
and it shows you what happened, and that's how it's an anthology. Very
cool. Yeah, so it's it'sthe biggest in scope this time. Even
though the main wraparound location takes placein a police station. It's kind of
(24:30):
in this one we wanted to goa little bit different. It's anything goes
because now it takes place at differentplaces around Owensborough. So instead of you
know, um so instead of beingover like random stories, they're still all
kind of connected because they take theytake place on the same night, so
you might see some characters go fromone to the other and that kind of
(24:51):
a thing. But um but theyall are still standalone stories. We did
another way we made it different waswe have infused some social commentary into the
new one, which we had Wedidn't do it all in the other films,
um, but we just you know, there's so many things going on
(25:11):
right now, especially it seems,um, you know, topics that that
are very timely. It's it's nomatter how much we talk about how it
needs to end now, it's likeyou can look back twenty years and go,
oh, well it was there,it was again, and it needed
to end then and it really didn't. And um, so those those kind
(25:32):
of kinds of you know, likesocial matters were kind of woven within it's
not preachy, right, Well, that's how it really got that first boom.
And like the seventies of Toby Hooperand Wes Craven and stuff, you
know, that was the next stepafter like the social commentary of sci fi
in the fifties and sixties, wasthe horror social commentary in the seventies.
(25:52):
That's interesting to hear that come backagain. That's cool, right, And
you know, and plus two,I think you know, it's just it
it takes it away. It's bythe time you make the third film in
any trilogy, or even though it'san anthology and it's different stories, it's
like, we don't want to keepmaking the same movie. We don't want
to keep telling the same stories overand over. So of course it's kind
(26:15):
of you have those moments where yousit down during development discussions and you're like,
how do we how do we dothings differently to where even though it's
all a part of the same canon, you don't feel like you're watching the
same movie over again, because tome, there's no point in doing another
film if you're just going to rehashthe same thing. And it don't get
(26:37):
me wrong, I mean a majorityof the movies I especially horror films that
I love, like the Friday theThirteenth series, most of those are the
same movie over and over again alot of ways, and I still enjoy
those. But doing this, it'sespecially you know, from the independent side
of things, it's just if youmake the so I think, if you
(27:00):
make the same movie again, it'sjust people are gonna lose interest. Um.
But interestingly enough, it's also kindof a gamble because a lot of
the people that loved the first movie, when we did the second film,
because it is so different, theyweren't as in love with it. Really,
yeah, because it was so differentbecause it was it some people thoughts,
(27:22):
you know, and and and tosome degree that was kind of like
that was one of my fears actually, was that because the second one is
so much darker in tone. Um, it's and it still has fun and
comedy and stuff like that in it. It is a lot darker than the
first one was. It's a lotless tongue in cheek like the first one.
(27:42):
And so there were there were youknow, I talked to people who
said, oh, you know,I enjoyed what you did, but I
just did it just didn't feel likethe first movie. And I was like,
well, that's kind of what Iwanted. Make your own damn movie.
Yeah. Well, it's like atthat point, it's like, just
go watch the first right, there'sreally no point in watching the second movie
(28:07):
if all you wanted was the firstmovie. Now, what I can say,
uh, from the first and secondis you amped up the Well,
it was the intensity he had, more gore. You definitely amped up a
little bit of dark humor. Areyou gonna take it to the next level
for the third one? You're gonnatry to outdo yourself on the from the
(28:29):
second one? Uh, yes,on the on the gore and the body
count, the quot is um throughthe roof. Okay, in the third
one, it's, uh, it'sfunny because we're Cassandra is coming back to
do all the special Yeah, yeah, that's all. Oh yeah, yeah
she did so. Yeah, shedid all the special effects in the second
(28:52):
one, and she did an incrediblejob. So it would be dumb for
us not to bring her back takethe third film. But of course she
didn't. She hadn't read the scriptor anything when we had our first special
effects meeting, and it was moreof just kind of like a an introductory
to Volumes of Blood three is reallywhat it was, because she really didn't
(29:14):
know what to expect, and truthfully, she about had an aneurysm when we
went through. Because the body countis ridiculously high in the third film.
Um, and to the point where, if if you did the math,
(29:34):
it comes out to be like abody every page and a half or something
like that, every minute and ahalf, right essentially. Yeah, I
mean I don't put a whole lotof stock into that every every page is
one minute kind of thing, becauseif it does, it varies from page
to page. Some have a lotof dialogue, some has has a lot
(29:56):
of actions. So um, butyeah, if if you were to if
you were to go by the math, it's like a kill every minute and
a half. Right, wow,Which after I after I had that conversation
with Cassandra and she almost vomited.Um I kind of start to think,
like, am I making just thebody count movie? Because it really like,
(30:18):
once I started doing the math,I was like, is that all
there? How can there be anythingelse in this movie if there's so many
bodies. So after I've done acouple of revisions since then, and there's
a lot of substance in it,it sounds like it would be just a
slut, you know, blood splashingeverywhere, It's just a slice and dice
(30:41):
kind of thing. But it reallyisn't, because what makes the body count
so high is there's actually a coupleof like mass murder scenes. And I
don't mean killing spree scenes like whatThe Face has done in the previous two
films, but I'm talking about likethirty people killed all at once in one
equence, you know. Because andI've always and I made a joke with
(31:03):
Cassandra um As, I made thisjoke several times when we were shooting the
second movie. I was like, the only way that if we ever do
a third movie, the only waythat we'll be able to outdo the body
count is if we have a ghostship opening yeah, and that you know,
because truthfully, that's the only that'sthe only part of the movie I
(31:25):
really really enjoyed. Actually that onesaw in theaters and I was thoroughly disappointed
in the movie. But I lovethe opening scene where the wire cuts everybody
in half on the dance floor becauseI thought that was so such such a
genius idea. I'm like, thatis a massive body count right out of
the gate. And um when sowhen I started, when I started writing
(31:47):
the beginning of the script, andbecause, as with the other two films,
a lot, a lot of themovie is homages to other films.
I mean, it really is alove letter to the horror genre, and
I wanted to keep that going. So the opening of the movie is kind
of an and this might sound weird, but the opening of the movie is
(32:08):
kind of homage to Aliens. Ohinteresting. But by doing that, I
also was able to I actually usedmy whole joke about making a ghost ship
opening, so there is a there. So there is a part in the
very opening of the movie where likethirty people get wiped out wow in one
(32:29):
fell swoop. So, like Isaid, the body count is really high
in this one. Now, ohgo ahead, go ahead, No,
no, no, you go ahead. I have talked away too much about
Blood War, so people are gonnabe like, why do I need to
I just watched faces of that.I was just curious, like, when
do you start this production because Iwant to see it now. Yeah,
(32:51):
I know. Um So, tentativelyslated for the first quarter of twenty nineteen.
And the reason I say that isbecause it's the large in scope.
It's the largest one we've done, right, um And there's um you know,
like there's a for instance, there'sa werewolf sequence in the movie.
(33:13):
Oh yeah, and there there's likea chaos scene that's that's like and like,
you know, going back to homages, it's kind of very it's very
much an homage to the Piccadilly Circusscene from American Werewolf in London. Oh
okay. Um So, So,with that in mind, like the just
the environments and the atmosphere and theset pieces and all that is so much
greater than they've been in the othertwo films, right, Um. So,
(33:37):
the budgets a little bit more onthis one, and we didn't want
to set any hard and fast datesuntil we locked in the financing and um,
I don't know how easy that's goingto be because we have three different
ways that we're going about it.Um. We actually paid for the entire
(33:59):
second film doing products placement oh Wow, with local and regional businesses, which
I threw that idea out there whenwe first started pre production, not really
thinking that it was going to panout, and it did. Is that
why? And the second movie there'sthat one van it rolls up. It's
like, I forget to name thecompany. It was like a power wash
(34:22):
company or was it improvement company orBlue Star Restoration. Yeah. Yeah,
that's a real company. That allof them. Yeah, all all those
companies and and uh and logos andeverything that you saw saturating the movie.
That's how we paid for Wow.Because some people have pointed it out,
(34:45):
been like, oh, it's ridiculous, how many companies it's just one giant
commercial. And then you have otherpeople who don't really seem the care or
pay much attention to it. WellI did not as a guy wearing our
little go we didn't pay a timewell, you know, I mean that's
that's a support thing though, Imean not, you know, not everybody
(35:07):
can can afford um. You know, one of our T shirts. Yeah,
exactly. So no, I'm surethey could afford your T shirts,
but the amounts, the amounts thatwe were asking for it to try to
pay for the movie, we're probablynot as easily obtainable. But still,
I mean, at the same time, it's like that's one of the things
about the horor community, you know, we're all very supportive of one another.
(35:29):
And yeah, and I think ina lot of ways, if you
can give back and do something likehave one of your guys's T shirts somewhere
in the film to where it givesyou guys a bit of a plug,
there's we should do it if wecan, right, Yeah, we're gonna
do it again and that one andand truthfully that became one of the really,
um the more difficult things was findingorganic ways to incorporate businesses and things
(35:55):
within the movie because if you lookat real life, logos are everywhere.
Yeah. Absolutely, life is onegiant product placement. No matter where you
go, there's a logo of somethingsomeone, so you see it all the
time. Um, but I guesswhen you're doing a film, whether it's
I mean it was it was closeto two hours. So still, I
(36:16):
mean we I think we did apretty decent job organically incorporating all the businesses
and stuff we had tied into thefilm. But also it's like, you
know, people who want to ifsomeone wants to complain about it, give
us money for the third one.So I just watched the Seinfeld episode the
(36:36):
other day that was from like twentyfive years ago, and they said that
were it Snapple three times in theminutes more subtle than yeah, I think
yeah, And it was literally doyou want a snapple? Do you want
a snapple? It was a hilariousepisode, So it doesn't matter. Not
too subtle. Yeah, you know, I never put much. I didn't
think about it too deeply because youknow, being a being a designer.
(37:00):
Know, it just made a questionlike, oh, did they make a
fake company or is that a realcompany? Um, that's that's super cool
that the business came out to supportthe film. That's amazing. Yeah,
it is it. It was.It was pretty incredible. We expected a
lot of knows and we we gotthat we did have We did have businesses
that when we first went in andsat down with them, they were real
(37:22):
like, oh, hey, sowhat do you guys, what do you
guys have going on? And youknow what's we've only heard a little bit
about it. And as soon aswe started well we're making a horror film,
it was they were gone. Itwas done. They they we actually
we actually had one business. Um. We went and we sat down and
talked with them for an hour andprobably forty five minutes of us was us
(37:45):
trying to basically, I mean,we were answering their questions and things,
but um, a lot of itwas just us trying to pitch to them
what we were doing and our intentions. And we talked a lot about the
first one and the support and thecoverage and this that and the other.
And when it was all said anddone, the guy was one of the
(38:05):
guys, was like, well, thanks so much for coming in. We
really appreciated it. Here you guyscan have this, and he handes both
coupons for free garlic knots. Wethought, well, this is probably all
we're getting out of out of theseguys, but we did get free garlic
knots, and it made it,it made it worth while. Well um,
(38:25):
but yeah, but I mean itwas it was So we're gonna try
to do some of that for thefor the third one. I don't know
how much we're gonna actually do.We're coming up with like a tiar system
and that kind of thing. Butokay, um, now the blu ray
I mentioned that just picked up.You're also helping us support our fun the
part of three by selling these specialedition blue rays. Yes, yeah,
(38:49):
all the all the proceeds from thosecells will go directly to making the third
film cool. Um. Which itwas just kind of serendipitous that that,
you know, when we were talkingto Justin and and and saying, you
know, because we've been for monthsnow been wanting to We've been talking about
what we're going to do as faras rereleasing the first film. Um.
(39:14):
When when Elsie Films went under inDecember of last year, for all we
knew, no one really watched oreven cared about the first movie. Um,
so we I mean, we hadmoved on and there was no like,
oh, we've got to get themovie back out there when it went
away. But almost immediately after itwent away, we started getting all these
(39:37):
Facebook messages and emails and just where'sthe movie at? Why is the movie
not on vod anymore? How comeI can't find the movie? And Eric
and I are looking at each otherlike why I guess people are still looking
for the movie and still watching themovie. And at that point we it
got to you know, it waslike, okay, well we need to
(39:58):
get the movie back out there.Um, if if not not necessarily just
for the money making purposes, butjust for you know, everybody that works
so hard on the movie. It'sonly fair to them because it's part of
their filmography and they worked really hardon it, and it's and it needs
it. You know. That's thewhole point of making a movie is to
have it out there where people cansee it. So, um, so
(40:21):
we started working towards getting it backout there, and we really didn't know
how it was gonna happen. Butthen as we started talking with Justin the
screen team, and you know,we worked with Justin on the second film,
um, it just really it justseemed like a really good fit.
And and plus with the third moviecoming up, it was like, well,
we can use this as the potentialways of funding the third film.
(40:47):
Now, whether or not that successful, you know, as yet to be
determined, but um but at leastit gets the movie back out there.
And and honestly, it not onlydoes that, but it it gets the
release that we wanted originally out there, which we didn't get with that first
run. So is it gonna bea little bit different than the one I
(41:09):
got in the hardpack? Um?Yeah, actually yes. UM. Like
I said, a majority of thespecial features are either unreleased or new.
Um. The film itself is anew high res transfer. Awesome. So
(41:30):
UM, I would be lying ifI said I didn't already get an early
copy to look at. And Ipopped it in last night and it looks
really good. So so I was. I'm really happy with the way they're
just in it a great job andthe artwork on it. And that's the
other thing. It's got a doublesided insert, so it has it has
(41:54):
uh slightly the the original artwork slightlytweaked um, and then you can flip
it around. It's got brand newartwork and we went with kind of like
an eighties DHS box style, kindof a look on a blue ray.
Um. I like it. Everybodyso far, everybody who's UM, who's
(42:16):
seen the new artwork. You know, we've gotten really good feedback on it.
Has with anything that you're trying orit's new, there's that part of
you that goes, oh, peopleare gonna hate this, but they haven't.
They've everybody's responded really well to it. So um so yeah, I
mean it's the so far that theactually the pre sales are over with now
(42:37):
okay, so the movie, themovie is going to start shipping like now
awesome, so p so pre salesare over um and the pre sales went
pretty good. So hopefully the moviecontinues to to get out there and people,
you know, trying to figure partof the pre sale. I got
it last week, so maybe Iwas not part of it. Yes,
(42:57):
you were a part of the Yeah, you were a part of the pre
sale. Sweet, so that's why. But yeah, but but yeah,
now the um, I believe hesaid that he's gonna they're gonna start shipping
this week. Cool, Yeah youmentioned uh you mentioned VHS there or you're
talking about the cover art. Um. I was just talking to Jed Bryan,
(43:19):
he directed, directed Unlisted, Ownerof Found Footage. Yes, I
had a run in with him inthe bathroom at Days of Yes, he
said that. But he's talking toa company that might take his movie and
put it like on VHS. Becausenow VHS is getting like it's making like
a like a small comeback for justlike unique things. Has any company ever
(43:42):
approached you or have you ever thoughtabout it would be cool to have your
movie on VHS. When the moviefirst released through Elsie Films, they had
done a or they were supposed supposedto have done a limited edition short run
VHS and I even designed the VHSartwork for it, and yes, and
(44:08):
it's and it's there. There's Iwon't go into all the specifics, but
from what I'm to understand, theywere sold out but never shipped right.
And because I I had, Ihad quite a few people who were met
They would message me and say, hey, I ordered a VHS copy and
(44:28):
I never got it. Well,ironically I ordered a VHS copy and I
know, yeah, So I'm like, dude, I'm in the same boat
as you, and uh, andso justin actually here recently had talked to
me about maybe doing a VHS runof the first Blames of Blood, but
(44:50):
we didn't really get too far intothe conversation, so that that's still up
in the air as to whether ornot we're going to try to do it.
Um, but I'm not opposed toit. I think that would be
really cool and yeah, VHS hasUh, it's definitely making a comeback to
some degree. Um. I wasactually now, well, I was gonna
say, like Scott Tepperman um dida did at his own documentary called Magnetic
(45:17):
Highway a couple of years back orlast year about the VA the resurgence of
VHS, and then he recently dida sequel to it and asked me to
be a part of that, andit's coming out this year. Um.
Because so it's called Magnetic Highway Exittwo. And that was kind of cool
to sit down and just like talkabout, you know, VHS because that's
(45:37):
what I grew up on and um, and I still have some VHS I've
held onto, like Angus. Youcannot find Angus anywhere, so I still
have Angus on via. That's onethat I never let go up. And
then the Guiver I held under theguiver because I knew and uh, I'll
tell you what the guiver needs though, it needs some Nicolas Cage. That
(46:00):
guy there, you go pitch aremake of the guy ever with Nicholas Cage.
People go ahead and get Michael Berrimanback. Yeah, you can be
in there with Nicolas Cage. Butuh, but yeah, So the one
thing I've noticed, it's it's like, so Vinyl came back pretty hard and
heavy. Yeah, guilty of owninga turntable and vinyl. Yeah right see.
(46:22):
And that's the thing. It's like, after Vinyl came back and started
getting real popular, they started massproducing like little you know, the record
players, so people would have somethingto play it on. Yeah. And
I had a conversation with Eric nottoo long ago where it's like, I
wonder if it's some point they're gonnastart mass producing like miniature VHS players,
(46:43):
so you can you know, likesome because now the technology would be to
where you could just you know, pop it one and it probably would be
like the side, like smaller thanwhat a Nintendo system, and you could
put a VHS in there and watchit and you have to have HD and
my connectivity. Wait do we care? We talking out loud too much?
Maybe this is a maybe we shoulddevelop this project here. We might need
(47:06):
to. We'll have to get it, you know. I've got some I've
got some VCRs. We can reverseengineer that technology. Oh yeah, make
it small. I don't think youcan make it small. I think it's
got to be this giant thing sittingin her stick. I get the big
huge ones. Make them retro.Yeah, well I do is you know
(47:30):
what we'll make. We'll make VCRsthat look kind of like what they used
to do with televisions, you know, where they were so large they made
them look like they were furniture. They had to built like they had the
wood finishing around them and the builtin cabinets. We'll just do that with
I think the originals. We makethem furniture. Man, your TV on
(47:51):
top of it? Who love thefire stick? Now? PG? What
else is going on? Dude?I know you're a busy man with a
busy schedule. Uh what else canyou uh entice us with? Uh?
Well, uh just some of theother projects that I've I've been part of.
Stephen Wolf, he's out of laUm. He did a movie called
(48:14):
Doll Factory. It's coming out thisyear, and Um I had helped him
with short like a horror comedy hedid called Dracula's Coffin. So I was
attached to that. And when ifit's it's in post production now, so
it'll it'll be coming out. Idon't know it'll be From what I'm gonna
(48:36):
understand, it will be this year, hopefully around the October time, right,
And um, but it's a it'sit's a really funny vampire comedy.
There's there's a there's a character init that's that just immediately became like my
favorite character. He's kind of amore perverted Peter Vincent essentially as who this
(48:59):
character is. Um And but soI think he will definitely win over the
hearts and minds of the people whowatch this movie. And what's great about
is it's also a precursor into whathe plans on doing, Like he plans
on doing a feature, so it'skind of the beginning story that that goes
into a featuring length movie that he'splanning on doing. But then he he
(49:21):
had contacted me here recently about helpingexecutive produce another project called Halloween, Um
the Face of Michael Myers, whichis it's going to be a fan film.
But he sent me the script andI read it and it's it's a
really smart script and I liked it. Um, So I think I'm I'm
(49:42):
gonna help him with that. Anduh and Vincent the Sante, I hope
I'm saying his last name right. He did never who did never? Hike
alone is attached to the project andis going to work on it, and
yeah, and it's a and Ibelieve he has a plan to come out
in October, which, let's faceit, it's like Halloween fever this year
(50:02):
because of the new movie coming.Yeah yeah, and um, which you
know, I was Paul Downey whoruns Bloody Flicks, did the uh,
did the the for the Love ofthe Boogeyman documentary and he had me a
part of that, and that comesout in October. It's kind it's it's
starting its festival run now and he'sout of the UK, so it's um,
(50:27):
it's about forty three minutes long,so it's just above a short and
right under a feature basically so becauseoddly enough, according to a lot of
festival standards, like a feature issixty minutes, that's it, okay,
yeah, which is weird because Ialways think of a feature is at least
eighty minutes. Yeah, yeah, yeah, because if I went if I
(50:51):
went to see um Infinity War andit was only sixty minutes long, I
would be writing some hate mail toMarvel Entertainment. Um, but like,
you guys really tried to cramp toomuch. Luckily was rushed. Yeah wait
(51:15):
what but uh yeah, so sothat's coming out in October. So I
was a part of that, andI think he did a great job with
it. I really liked what theydid. And it's no one from the
film franchise UM is attached to theproject. So it's essentially kind of a
(51:37):
lot of and I'll take myself outof this that way. I don't sound
conceited or what everyone I say this, but it's a lot of the it's
a lot of the wet, morewell known indie horror filmmakers who were making
a mark in the indie horror genreUM that are all attached to this project.
So it's kind of, you know, it's it's like I used the
(51:58):
term, you know, the phraselove letter earlier, and that's really what
it is. It's it's a bunchof horror fans starerst made into horror filmmakers
talking about John Carpenter and his filmIt's basically a giant bj for Halloween,
talking about how much we love themovie and how it's impact that how we
(52:22):
you know, approach our films, our own films, and how we're all
kind of chasing Halloween because you know, we would all we all would love
to have that kind of lightning ina bottle scenario. But yeah, you
know, yeah, So, Imean it's it's it's it's gotten some reviews
and they're all really positive. Andthe one thing it really that every collectively
(52:45):
everyone seems to really enjoy is thefact that it's not the same thing you
always see in any making of ordocumentary of a franchise, and that's the
same people talking about, you know, the film and that they loved working
together and and you know the anecdotesand stuff like that that we all kind
of already know. Um. Instead, it's a bunch of fans talking about
(53:07):
the impact of the movie on theirlives and that kind of thing. So,
um, oh, what else I'vegot? I've got h Angel just
premiered recently. Um, I wasI executive produce that as Tory Jones's new
movie. Yeah, my hopefully myDVD's coming soon. Oh really, I
hope. Yeah. He did hedid a great He did a great job
(53:28):
on the movie. He really did. It's it's definitely one of those films
where you can see the progression ofhim as a filmmaker from The Wicked One
to Angel like you can. Youcan see that, um, that difference
and how and how he's applied everythingyou realized you shouldn't have done or you
should do better on the last movie. You do that on the next one,
(53:51):
and uh so, so I reallyenjoyed it. It was you know,
I had a good time at thepremiere. So, um, yeah,
I really can't. I'm drawing ablanket, that's gonna say. Because
you're doing like a boatload. Idon't know how you have time to sleep.
Yeah, I've Actually I was talkingto um Ray Merrick, who uh
(54:14):
he runs the Horse and the Kits, and I was talking to him last
night and I was like, yeah, I think I think I'm going to
kind of pull back a little biton all the executive producing just because it's
twenty eighteen has become such a clusterfuck, um with it's like everything that could
go wrong. It's it's literally tothe point where I could say it's it's
(54:34):
a it's a comedy of tragedies iswhat it's is what twenty eighteen has become.
Um. And it's just with everythinggoing on there and then all these
projects and I'm currently attached to thegood thing is though was a lot of
them have are you know, areeither finding distribution or I'm helping them find
distribution, or they're coming towards thetail end of their festival run and stuff
(54:54):
like that. So a lot ofmy my duties, the things that I
would help with, are coming toa close. So that's going to open
up a lot of you know,a lot of time. And plus with
third claims of blood going on andus getting ready to going to finance,
like trying to do financing on it, um, I'm gonna need a lot
of that free time. And plusit'll it won't cut into family time as
(55:16):
much as it does when you've gotlike nine things you're attached to. But
I mean, at the end ofthe day, though, I really the
only person I can blame is myself, because I guess I'm in you know,
to some degree, an overachiever. But I just I you know,
I love doing this, and Ilove collaborating, and I love helping other
filmmakers and that kind of a thing. But um, yeah, you know,
(55:37):
I was gonna say, speaking offamily time, buddy, I'm I'm
gonna let you get back to yourfamily. So why don't you let everybody
appreciate that. Yeah, I mean, I'm sure they're waiting patiently. Let
everybody know how I care less. They're doing their own thing. Let everybody
know how they can help make Partthree come to life and any other stuff
(55:57):
you want to promote. Well asfar as if you right now, the
best and most direct way to helpUM with Volumes of Blood threes if you
go to Scream Team Releasing dot com, you can purchase your own copy of
the rerelease of Volumes of Blood. It's the special Killectors edition we got.
(56:21):
I really wish I could take creditfor that, but that was all justin.
He came up with that, andit's brilliant and I hate him for
it because I was like, damand I wish I'd come up with that.
It's so good. Um so soyeah, So there you can get
UM a few other things on there. You can autograph poster, or you
can get one that's not autographed becauseat that point it won't go down and
(56:43):
value. UM you can get autographedcopies of the movies and yeah, and
then here at the at the veryend of the month, we were planning
on launching a campaign UM and itprobably Indie Goog we're still finalizing a lot
of the details and we've got awhole whole crowdfunding initiative team we have put
(57:06):
together that's going to help us outwith that. But so be on the
lookout for that. That'll be anotherway that you can help get the third
volumes of Blood made. Or ifyou have a company and you want some
product placement, you can you know, message us at blood Moon Picks at
gmail dot com and that's pics atgmail dot com, and you know,
(57:30):
you can talk to us about thoseopportunities. But yeah, that's you know,
all that stuff will be coming outhere pretty soon and it's exciting.
But right now it's stressful because I'mbecause we're getting so close to have to
start like moving forward on financing.I'm I'm really starting to feel the pressure.
So hopefully, hopefully we can youknow, fingers crossed, the stars
(57:54):
will align and we'll be able toget this thing paid for us. We
can finish out the trip and thenuh, I can fall quietly into obscurity.
Well, BG, I can't thankyou enough for hanging out. Yeah,
everybody go check that out. Igot I picked up a Blu ray
to supports the film because I can'twait for part three. Thank you doesn't
(58:16):
mean you know I'm not gonna letyou stop bugging you dude. We need
more PG picks. So yes,I did. That's that's the next that
when when my time starts getting freedup, I'm I'm going to do it
again. I promise you I will. You heard it here first, everybody,
and years we'll get more. Ican only be a total dick for
(58:36):
so long and then and then I'llcome through for you. So PJ.
All right, well I I'll talkto you very soon. Take care of
my friend and go enjoy your night. All right, you do, Thanks

along, randle along, but Iwanted one thing he said that struck me
was he was talking about that moviesinvolved with where people are talking about what
Halloween that movie meant to them andthe documentaries involved with and Benny told us
(01:02:00):
his fun story at the bar aboutwhat. I guess it was San Diego
Comic Con. There was a SanDiego Comic Con. Yeah, and it
was excuse me, Jamie Lee Curtisis up there, probably for whatever the
new Halloween movie is, and shewas doing like a Q and A.
I was going through all these otherpeople asking that questions. The one guy
got up it was it was probablyabout fifty fifty five or so, and
(01:02:22):
he says, you don't know whatthis movie meant to me? And she
goes, oh, that's nice.He goes, no, seriously, I
remember watching this. I watched itso many times that at one point when
I was growing up there was anintruder that broke into my house and because
of you, the first thing Ithought to do was to undo a wire
hanger a jab within the guy's faceand then run out of the house,
(01:02:43):
at which point he like lost itand started crying. So Jamie Lee Curtis
went down to console him, tooka picture with it's I think it's up
on YouTube. The whole clip ofit. Wow, but yeah, it
was almost a nice story, butstrange enough. Yeah, it's a little
weird. We're in there. That'sinsane to think that in the middle of
(01:03:06):
a home invasion. Yeah, you'dthink of that. He thought of that,
and chab the dude. Yeah, face with a code hanger because probably
you'd probably find me just in thecorner shaking up in a ball or who
knows who. I mean, ifit was a bad guy, he could
have stabbed me. I don't know, because I feel like that's not what
(01:03:28):
my mind. Well, but you'reunder that stress and everything, something like
that could pop into your mind. It's like, I guess, so,
yeah, I'm gonna go grab abutcher's knife or you know whatever. Isn't
that kind of a dream though,Like we've all watched all these movies so
many times, but we think weknow better now that we think that if
we're in this situation, we're gonnawell, I know what I'm doing.
(01:03:50):
Now. What horror movie have youseen that in the unfortunate event that somebody
broke in? What movie would inspireyou to what weapon would you go for?
What? Well, how would youtake out the bad guy? That's
tough. I mean, it alldepends on what house you're obviously, if
you're in the house with a wholebunch of guns or Johnnie Foster and panic
(01:04:12):
room or that works out. Idon't know if I would go to the
coat hanger. I don't know ifI remember that moment, unless hiding in
the closet, back of the toiletor something, you know that that would
be a good thing. That Oh, Now, like I started thinking,
look, should we hide like handgunsin the back of the toilet, right?
I just mean hit him with thatBacklet take that thing. Oh the
(01:04:33):
lid off, Yeah, take thatlid off. And has there been a
Nicolas Cage movie where he did somethingthat could be practical in the well?
Yeah, on air he gets shotin the arm and keeps walking. That's
practical for sure. Like, yeah, like, is there something in your
house that you could use a weaponbased on a movie? Outside the coat
(01:04:57):
hanger? Immediately my mind goes towardssleep boy camp with the curling iron.
Oh, but that was the curlingiron in the vagina. I know it's
a woman. See, I don'teven have a curling iron. I have
a straight arn. So I worseyeah, really them like ar I would
(01:05:21):
grab their arm or something with it, you like straight iron right to the
bump. I'm kind of limited asfar as like outlets are concerned, as
far as the chord will grow, but oh, it's like outlets in the
human body. Well, I guessthe best most classic is ash with a
(01:05:43):
chainsaw. I mean, that's notnecessarily a household item, but true,
who else has taken the household iteminfused it to themselves? Right? Yeah,
you go Wolverine put a bunch ofknives in your hands. Oh yeah,
I know, you're just like afifteen the knives in the hand.
(01:06:03):
Didn't they do that in um oneof the bad Halloween sequels? Oh?
God, they probably did? Wasit? Maybe? H two? Oh?
Oh, I don't even remember thatmovie? Oh which movie was it?
Hmm? I don't know, Idon't know. Wouldn't they have done
(01:06:23):
it on like a friddy one? That would make more sense? And like,
no, I remember this was?Um, it's completely slipping in my
mind the name of it. Butum, they kind of did like a
what do you want to call it? Like a Big Brother TV type of
show. They had cameras all overthe house Resurrection with that rapper. Yes,
(01:06:45):
I don't remember. It just fellout of my hand. His name.
He's the one who says, uht yeah what is because he's the
one he got a couple of knivesand then started. Yeah, he started,
uh stabbing the shit out of Michael. But he does have crowding on
his ass first, yeah, butthen he got the knives out. Now,
(01:07:06):
the one horror movie that we madelong time ago chopped. I didn't
Mike didn't he like have like spatulasand stuff like that. Yeah, it
was a farce. So in themovie, uh, the TMI accident actually
(01:07:28):
happened, and it infused fish inthe Susquehna River with the nuclear yes radiation
that made them crazy and started actuallythe ability to fly and attack people.
It was pretty much also. Andin the story, we all hit went
and hid in the basement because that'swhat Steve on the news said to do.
(01:07:51):
Yeah. Uh. And while theywere down there, the main protagonist
decided he can't take it anymore. He's to do something about this, right,
so he grabbed a bunch of spatialists. You know I was when I
wrote this. I wrote it tobe a jerk, not a jerk,
but trying to be funny. Sohe had a spatula some nice things you
(01:08:13):
would filet and flip, you know, fish on the grill and then armed
with a salt and pepper because fishwouldn't be scared of salt pepper. Then
we had a whole green skiing, green screen thing where he was just flailing.
He had like duct taped the spatulinto his hands and he was on
(01:08:38):
a green screen. But we hadlike these fake plastic fish on like just
throwing fishing rods. We had.We just had swinging in and out of
the frame. And where is thismovie. It's not on the website.
I tell you, it was bannedin Germany. Perfect but but but because
(01:09:00):
as we used right managed music, like when he was defeating the radioactive flying
fish, I put in the songfrom karate Kin You're the Best, So
why he was winning the day.Yeah, I think that's why Germany banned
is because we were using copyright. But you know I uploaded that back in
(01:09:20):
the day when YouTube wasn't so finickyand it was just like a way to
stream and share because with your buddies, there wasn't all this copyright. We
weren't trying to make money off ofthis. I don't think you can.
We had a channel, yeah,uh, in the infancy of YouTube.
I had no idea. If wekeep uploading stupid shit, we can make
(01:09:44):
money. Yeah. Who knew backthen? I didn't know. Now I
look back and just be like, son of a bitch. Yeah yeah,
so that was our our knife handswould actually preate us like it was before
we even got together. I think, right, you were just you were
just the actress. I was.Yeah. When Dave was in it,
(01:10:10):
Yeah, Dave. Dave ad liveda line every every one of our movies.
There's ad libya. It was like, uh, what do you say?
He was like, I don't knowwhy we're here. We should just
go to my camp, Like whatdoes that even mean? But I left
it in the movie, Oh theway to protect yourself from the flying radioactive
(01:10:30):
fish camp he got. I lovedit. I want to see this.
Clearly, it wasn't as good asVolumes a Blood because we made a sequel
technically not a sequel, but asequel. Uh. We made Chompy.
It was about a fishman. Yeahwho you know who just needed a buddy.
(01:10:59):
He wasn't mean, he wasn't tryingto hurt you. He doesn't need
a buddy. Yeah, I knowin my head it was a much better
