Catalogar un videojuego como indie o no puede levantar ciertas dudas, porque cada uno tiene una idea de lo que es o no independiente. Tenemos bastante claro que un Final Fantasy no es un juego independiente, pero a Valve, desarrolladora de videojuegos como Counter Strike, Half Life o Portal sí los consideramos una desarrolladora independiente, aunque tenga todo el tiempo y el dinero del mundo.
