Aquest diumenge 1 de juny, Barcelona celebrarà la seva primera cursa antiracista, organitzada per Top Manta. El que va néixer com una marca de roba social i solidària ha evolucionat, i ara, coincidint amb la primera dècada de la seva fundació, el sindicat de venedors ambulants promou un esdeveniment que fusiona esport i lluita política. Les inscripcions estan exhaurides des de fa setmanes. Els cinc-cents dorsals d'amplicació que van aconseguir després de negociar amb el districte també van volar en un tres i no res.
La societat ha respost a la crida antiracista, i de fet les aficions de tres clubs populars i tradicionals de Barcelona (els Desperdicis del Sant Andreu, els Eskapulats de l'Europa i el Reducte GrisGrana del Júpiter) malgrat arrossegar una rivalitat històrica, han unit forces per la cursa de diumenge. Juntament amb Héctor Bellerin, ex-futbolista del Barça, convoquen una grada d’animació comú i antiracista perquè en formi part tothom que no s’hi hagi pogut inscriure, és a dir, que no pugui córrer per deixar els discursos d’odi enrere. Aziz Faye, portaveu de Top Manta, ens rep al taller tèxtil ubicat a Can Batlló a primera hora, abans que arrenquin les màquines, pocs dies abans de la data senyalada.
