(24:10-36:19) – Evan Sherrill from Cluster Truck drops off lunch for Jake and Eddie during the break and briefly joins the guys on the show to highlight the number of locations they serve, how many people they have on staff, and his favorite items on the menu. Scott Agness from Fieldhouse Files joins Jake Query to discuss what Rick Carlisle said on the morning show about his evolution as a coach with all the elite point guards he’s coached, assesses if it’s realistic for the Pacers to make a run for the three seed in the Eastern Conference, and highlights how much he loves living downtown during this team of the year with the Pacers, NCAA Tournament, and IHSAA State Finals all going on this weekend.
(36:19-46:00) – The first hour of the program concludes with Jake explaining why the team to root for, no matter what level of college basketball fan you are, is the Purdue Boilermakers.
(46:00-1:11:16) – ESPN.com’s Stephen Holder joins Query & Company to provide what he has heard about E.J. Speed’s future with the Indianapolis Colts. Additionally, he evaluates the chances of Chris Ballard trading up in the NFL Draft, believes that the Colts will address tight end early in the draft, and thinks it makes sense for the Colts to draft a quarterback this year with the uncertainty surrounding Anthony Richardson and Daniel Jones.
(1:11:16-1:19:08) – Jake missed yesterday’s show because of flying back from California for IndyCar’s race. He shares his opinion on how the race went and then his experience in Palm Springs.
(1:19:08-1:28:39) – Hour number two concludes with Jake and Eddie giving away a pair of tickets for a listener to go see The Black Keys in concert in August at Everwise Amphitheater at White River State Park!
(1:28:39-1:52:28) – The final hour of the program with Jake Query and Eddie Garrison begins with the two of them debating if it’s the transfer portal or NIL ruining college athletics. Jake believes that the transfer portal is the reason behind the struggles of Cinderella teams in the NCAA Tournament this season.
(1:52:28-2:04:12) – Jake and Eddie shift the conversation back to the Indiana Pacers with an important game tomorrow night against the Los Angeles Lakers. They focus their conversation on the success of Obi Toppin lately and how important it is for the Pacers to get production from Toppin off the bench.
(2:04:12-2:04:12) – Today’s show closes with Jake sharing more about his experience in California over the weekend and JMV joining the guys in studio to preview his show!
