Povel Ramel-sällskapet förklarar:
Hösten 1950 – två år efter ”Johan Blöth” – drabbades radiolyssnarna åter av den Ramelska crazyhumorn, i form av deckarparodin Herr Hålms öden och Angantyr. Denna gång blev reaktionen inte riktigt lika våldsam. Serien ansågs vara mera styrslad. Diggarna njöt likväl i fulla drag, precis som fallet var med ”Johan Blöth”.
Seriens författare var Povel Ramel, Roland Eiworth och Sten Kärrby, med Roland Eiworth som regissör. Povel stod för originalmusik och vistexter. Huvudpersoner i Ramels detektivbyrå var, förutom Povel själv, Brita Borg och Martin Ljung. Bland övriga medverkande märktes Jan Molander, Ulf Peder Olrog, Oscar Rundqvist, Bengt Widner, Susanna Ramel, Karl-Arne Holmsten, Gösta Thersérus, Hanny Schedin, Gunnar Fellenius, Monica Nielsen, Bo Schedin, Ejnar Haglund, Curt Eiworth, Bertil Perrolf, Öllegård Wellton, John Botvid, Börje Mellvig och Alice Babs. Ja, man fick nästan uppfattningen att alla stod i kö för att få en liten roll i den Ramelska farsserien. När det gäller det musikaliska så var Allan ”King” Johansson orkesterledare ihop med kända jazznamn som Gösta Törner, Sven Hedberg, Casper Hjukström, John Jändel och Gösta Hedén.
