You need to have alternatives that taste better, and smoothies can be an important way of disguising vegetables for children. When coaching it’s all about the client there is no judgement and I have no preconceptions. In the coaching process, the client is setting their own destination. I wouldn’t impose my priorities on anyone else. It is a spectrum and people are joining the journey at different points. I want people to eat well and be as healthy as possible I can help them to do that and upgrade foods for them. There is lots of information available and it's about sorting the information effectively. If I’m asked I am happy to offer an opinion but that is entirely driven by the clients. At the end of the initial 12 weeks, I am often able to move into a pure coaching position to support other areas for the client. This process will make you want to know what is in your food Stop and question - is this a forward or backward food for me? It will gradually permeate your thinking and you will always want to know what is in the foods you are eating. Shopping by colour is a good way to ensure you are buying fruit and vegetables that are good for you. The pressure on teenagers is enormous but it is at this point as parents we have less control and the food choices they make can radically affect all aspects of their lives.
