Speaker 1 (00:00):
Yo, what is up? Boys?

Speaker 2 (00:01):
How's it going? And welcome to another episode of the
rat Cafe Anime Podcast. This week, we haven't watched any anime.
I mean I guess recontactnically did because that's all he
does all day, every day. But today we are covering
the summer anime season. We're gonna go through any chart
and take a look. And with me we have Jordan
the anime dude. How's it going? What's up?

Speaker 3 (00:21):
Everybody? Happy to be here looking forward to this?

Speaker 2 (00:24):
Hell yeah, happy to go through it with you. And
we have recone what recone? How's it going?

Speaker 1 (00:28):
Recone back with another round and this time some exciting
seasonal anime which is personally one of my favorites.

Speaker 2 (00:34):
Yeah, that's what that. This is his cup of this
is what he does.

Speaker 1 (00:39):
This is my area of speciality.

Speaker 2 (00:40):
This one. So we're covering the summer summer season. We
covered the spring season last time, and I will say
there was so many anime that I liked. Did I
finish any of them?

Speaker 1 (00:49):
No? Yo?

Speaker 2 (00:50):
Actually I finished too. I finished two from last season.
I finished the Overpowered Swordsman anime Country Bumpkin, which it
started off okay and then kind of went the ship,
and then I finished Vigilantes Vigilantes.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
Okay, you see, you guys, you guys do it all wrong.
Rather than be my bread and butter, I always go
back and I'll be watching the spring season here as
the summer season airs, so that that's typically how I
do it. That's always the season behind.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
That's the hard way to do is we can binge?

Speaker 3 (01:23):
Right, yeah, if I if I have that urge to binge,
I can so. But content creation wise, I'm always behind
the curves.

Speaker 2 (01:29):
Exactly like you're not really part of the gun.

Speaker 1 (01:31):
So lazy, yeah, lazy yeah, because you're not watching enough anime.
You gotta watch more anime.

Speaker 2 (01:37):
I watch a lot watch anime once, just as Jordan
watched an anime once.

Speaker 3 (01:44):
Then I took an arrow to the knee, you know,
all downhill from there.

Speaker 2 (01:48):
Yeah, my injury from eighty nine prevents me. Okay, let's
start off with summer twenty twenty five from popularity or
sorting my popularity, and the most popular anticipated anime is
Don to Don second season.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
Let's go.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
I loved season one. I thought it was fantastic. It
was a little crazy, quirky, over the top. But I'm
I'm a big fan of Don and don I'm excited
for more.

Speaker 3 (02:12):
It feels weird to say season two with how season
one ended because no spoilers, but like it wasn't really
like a seasonal ending. It was like they just kind
of stopped in the middle of like a little arc.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
Like yeah, wasn't even at the end of it, like mid.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
It felt like season one, part one is what it
felt like, and this would be like part two. So
it feels weird even say second season, they.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
Like introduced the next arc and then they're like, you, like, see,
I don't even know exactly what happened, but they kind
of like introduced another phenomenon or whatever, and then like
and whatnot yeah, and then like we'll see you next
time next year.

Speaker 3 (02:44):
Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:46):
Have you guys watched the first episode?

Speaker 2 (02:49):
It's out already, Damn I have not.

Speaker 1 (02:51):
Yes, it is crazy weird.

Speaker 2 (02:56):
As usual as we expected.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
I'm not gonna lie. I'm still haven't quite wrapped my
head around what to think of Danna Don. Like, I
know so many people love it and I enjoyed it.
I had fun, but I don't. It's so quirky and
crazy and I feel like we're still just kind of
like just starting out with it, like we're still getting
introduced to everything.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
So yeah, so far it's good though. My only complaint
is the opening. We went from a good opening, banger opening,
to a shit opening. That's where we that's where we
go from Ye creeps just creepy Nuts is too good
at making openings, and now we get the new one,
which just it doesn't hit. It's not the same.

Speaker 3 (03:35):
Is so sad. I haven't heard the new opening yet.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
It's so sad.

Speaker 3 (03:40):
They're so good, what we think.

Speaker 2 (03:41):
What I think we want to do next week ideally
is watch the first episode of as many popular seasonals
as possible, and then we'll talk about it next week.
If that makes sense, Okay, if you want together down
for that, Like, as long as the first episodes have aired,
we could watch the first episodes and talk about what
we plan on water if we want to, like continue

(04:02):
watching for better expectations. Whatever. You can't judge an episode
off episode of one, but I think it'll be a
little bit better than what we're doing this week just
off of the names and descriptions, you know.

Speaker 3 (04:10):
Yeah, Now I love to judge stuff based on the
first episode, So jump in. Do some seasonal sampling.

Speaker 2 (04:16):
I'll judge an animy in the first two minutes.

Speaker 3 (04:19):
I will say I already made a list of what
I plan on at least checking out. I might add
to it based on what you guys recommend, suggest and whatnot. Yeah,
but Dona don is definitely on that list. So like
six of my twelve are are all sequels.

Speaker 2 (04:34):
I'm dying, Okay, So can I change the names to English?
I really don't want to say this. How do I
do that? Dad? Help me? Eli?

Speaker 3 (04:46):
Dress of Darling my address?

Speaker 1 (04:47):
So seriously, don't know what the next anime is.

Speaker 2 (04:49):
I do know what it is to do with that English,
it's just now I know what it is. It' I
Dress Up Darling season two. I dropped season one. Actually,
I've read a bunch of them. Wow, I read a
bunch of the manga back in the day.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
Why did you drop it?

Speaker 2 (05:10):
Because I already knew what was gonna happen. I read
the manga. Oh but the boys. Acting was good, animation
was good. It's kind of I feel like, all right.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
I don't. I don't like Dress Up Darling as much
as most people because a lot of people really love
this show. But I do think it's above average and
I do have it on my list. I will watch
season two. Season one was pretty good.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
Yeah, it's it's pretty solid, though it's not the greatest
in my opinion.

Speaker 3 (05:35):
Personally, if you like costplaying and stuff like that, you know,
this is cost It's.

Speaker 1 (05:39):
Mostly about costplaying.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
You know, boy and girl.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
They get together and the girl costplays and the guy
is pretty much the photographer or he makes the clothes
for and there's a lot of fan service. Obviously there's
a lot of etchy in this show. But yeah, everyone
is pretty much just watching it for the etchy itself
and the and the fan service. But the romance relationship
between Modern and Gojo are pretty good.

Speaker 2 (06:05):
People are watching for the romance as well. Yeah, what's
the what's the girl's kid named? Marin? Modern Man?

Speaker 3 (06:11):
And yeah, the guy's Gojo.

Speaker 2 (06:13):
No one cares about the guy. I don't cares about
the guy Majo.

Speaker 3 (06:18):
He's the fake Gojo. Wishes he was like this Gojo.
This Gojo is pretty chazzy.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
I feel like Marin is such a great character. I
had some complaints with the guy Gojo want to be
Gojo in the first couple of episodes. I don't remember
what those complaints were and I feel like they they
faded his time. I just didn't care about him. I
feel like they faded as time went on, and I
did come to like them and root for their romance
and stuff. I do remember the first episode or two,
I was like, what the fuck is going on here?

Speaker 1 (06:47):
Trust me, it breaks. Nobody gives a shit about Gojo.
Everybody's in it for man.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
Yeah, but the romance.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
People care about. Yeah, like we're and a girlfriend. Things
like that. You have, like what's his name, Kaza something? Yeah,
something like that will take you out of it because
you're like, why would they like him go Jo? You're like, okay,
I get it, Like I could see.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
It with kill Joe. You're like it makes sense, yeah,
because you're still invested in the romance, which means he
has to be a decent character, right exactly?

Speaker 3 (07:13):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (07:14):
All right? What is oh Kaiju No?

Speaker 3 (07:16):
Eight?

Speaker 2 (07:16):
Season two? I almost skipped it? Kid?

Speaker 3 (07:17):
You know?

Speaker 1 (07:18):
Eight number eight banger?

Speaker 2 (07:20):
Another one where I read the manga unfortunately or fortunately?

Speaker 1 (07:24):
Did you drop it? No?

Speaker 2 (07:26):
I watched. I watched all the episodes. I just read
the manga. So it's like I feel like sometimes a
lot of times he's anime enhanced the source material. But
for me, it's just like I love reading manga as
well where I used to love reading manga, So when
I go to watch it, if I know what's gonna happen,
I'm less invested.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
I read the episode or chapter one of this one
when it came out, and I specifically chose not to
read it because I knew it would probably get a
good anime and lo and behold, season one was good,
So I'm looking forward to season two glorious. I think
we already covered three of the ones on my list.
By the way, this is I'm such a normy. These
are the most popular ones.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
Just I mean, finally part of the self Defense Force.
People are gonna accept him, Like, yeah, even if you're
a kaiju, you can still team up with us, but
beat make sure you know, kill the kaiju for us.

Speaker 2 (08:13):
So dude, the pacing. The pacing in this is so fast,
it's crazy. They just keep things going. I kind of
love it. I will say, I watched like three episodes
and I fell in love and I'm going to read
the rest of the manga. Did that ruin the rest
of the anime experience for me? Yes, But it was.

Speaker 3 (08:28):
Worth it was worth it understandable, I will say, I
really don't know where it's going from the end of
season one, so like, I feel like so much stuff
is just kind of up in the air. I'm looking
forward to it, though, sure.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
I'm still so heavily invested in the villain of the series.
That guy that can shape shift into humans and stuff
is really cool.

Speaker 3 (08:51):
Nine forgot who the fuck his name was. And eleven
it's just guess a number. You have a pretty good I.

Speaker 1 (08:57):
Think it was nine. I think it was nine. I
just don't remember properly. But a very good villain, very interesting.

Speaker 2 (09:05):
Anyway. The next anime is called or the most popular
was one I haven't heard of, the Fragrant Flower Balloons
with dignity.

Speaker 3 (09:13):
I have this one on my list. It's my clover
works so if nothing else, it looks pretty.

Speaker 1 (09:18):
It's like this came out today. It was the next
thing I was gonna watch, but I had to check
in with you guys.

Speaker 3 (09:26):
So well, it looks like a Romeo and Juliet type thing,
like a Starcross lovers like they meet, but like she
goes to the rich girls school that's kind of like
right next door to like the school he goes to,
so he feels like he's kind of unworthy stuff like
that is what it looked like from the trailer.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
Not really, Jordan, You're all mistake.

Speaker 3 (09:47):
It was I way off.

Speaker 1 (09:48):
Was yeah, you're away off?

Speaker 2 (09:49):
So okaya, Oh no, continue bricks, I trust, I trust
Jordan over you.

Speaker 3 (09:56):
I watched the trailer and skim the synopsis.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
Wat let me explain it and make sure it doesn't
sound like a Henti because what I'm about to say
shouldn't even sound like a Henti in the frow anyway.
So this is about a girl, a guy who's in
an all boys school and a girl who was in
an all girls school academy. And the guy is like

(10:20):
a delinquent and all that stuff, and he's feared, so
people kind of just stay away from him. But that
is until he met and the two the two schools
they're both rival schools, like they they hate each other basically.
So the guy then meets a girl and falls in
love with her, and she ran away because he thought

(10:40):
that she was scared of her she was scared of him.
But then he finally met her again and he decides to,
you know, confess. It turns out that the girl is
from the rival academy school, which is a big problem.

Speaker 3 (10:57):
Yeah, yeah, Starcross lovery like I said, two schools side
by side. She goes to the Ojoke Sama school. It's
like all rich girls and he's from the poor guy's school, right,
and then, uh.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
Is it gonna be one of those things where they
they pretend like they hate each other but they actually
like each other, or is it gonna.

Speaker 1 (11:14):
Be no idea, I have no idea. I haven't even
seen the first episode, which I was going to.

Speaker 3 (11:19):
Have you seen to Briggs or Yeah, So the main
character of that, it's kind of he's that trope of
he has the mean looking face that kind of scares people,
but he has the heart of gold, right, Like he's
kind of heart. So I feel like it's gonna be
that type of tropy thing. It's hard. That's just based
on the synopsis in the trailer though.

Speaker 1 (11:40):
So again, have you you guys seen have you guys
seen the anime called Boarding School Juliette.

Speaker 3 (11:46):
I've read the manga.

Speaker 1 (11:48):
It's yeah, Briggs, if if you want, you know, if
you want to compare, if you want you know, something
to do with they both pretend to hate you eat
each each other but then love each other. It's Watchboarding School, Juliet.
It's pretty good.

Speaker 2 (12:02):
Cool. Yeah, I don't know about this anime.

Speaker 1 (12:06):
We'll check it out.

Speaker 2 (12:11):
I will say I have heard about this a long
time ago.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
This is my studio bones, and it's a lot of
people are talking about it.

Speaker 2 (12:21):
I bet you it's gonna be one of the underrated
or better enemy of the season, even though it's not
like top rated right now. I bet you it's gonna
move up there. I've heard really good things about this.
It's gonna move so long ago.

Speaker 3 (12:35):
I don't know anything about this show from watching the trailer.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
It's gonna have so much action. What it's essentially about
is a guy that lives in like a very poor
area and he's like going around looking for scrap and
ship to sell for money. And then there was a
murder that happened in that town and the guy was
blamed for it this false falsely accused. So they're in

(13:01):
that town or village that they all live in. Those
people there is a big hole in the middle where
trash is thrown or unwanted stuff. So because the guy
was accused for murder, yes, and unwanted people, so because
the guy was accused. Everyone was against him. They all
pushed him or shoved him into the hole and he

(13:23):
falls into basically another dimension. And in that dimension there's
like fucking monsters in there and all that, and he
trains to basically fight these monsters and teams up with
someone in there and becomes what is like a hunter
or something down there.

Speaker 3 (13:39):
Yeah, what did you say they called him again or
like the like what derogatory?

Speaker 2 (13:44):
They just think he just got exiled and with the
rest of the trash type of thing he got.

Speaker 3 (13:49):
That's what I was looking for. That's what the series
sounds like. Trash way Okay.

Speaker 2 (13:54):
The reason why people recommended it to me, I'm pretty
sure it is because it's a pretty big underdog story
because he has the goes from being like this like whatever,
like small boy, and he has to become like a
warrior to survive.

Speaker 3 (14:05):
But where's the where's the wholesome rom com moment?

Speaker 1 (14:08):
There's no This is a revenge storyline. This is a
revenge storyline. He's gonna shit in that hole and he's
gonna find vengeance against the guy who fucking betrayed him
and ships.

Speaker 2 (14:19):
Yeah, but they'll be a best girl now there has
to be a best girl. I'm probably gonna be like
a Jack Chad Last or something.

Speaker 3 (14:26):
Okay, I'm excited for it.

Speaker 2 (14:27):
I think that might be the most excited for this
one right now. Like, don't get me wrong, Kaiju No
Eight and don the Don super exciting. But there's season
two's this is a brand new series. I'm super pumped
for another season too. Call of the Night Season two.
Do you guys remember this? I watched it. I watched it.

Speaker 3 (14:49):
I didn't. I didn't really like the first season that much.
If I'm being honest, it.

Speaker 1 (14:52):
Was to me, the show was good. It's just it's
just visually impressive more than anything else.

Speaker 3 (14:59):
I mean, it had a lot of the same staff
that had worked on uh some like some of the
Monagatari series, and you could kind of tell with the
way that they did it. So it was visually very
pretty and it had pretty the scene contract. Yeah, it's
just so colorful.

Speaker 1 (15:16):
But other than that, I wouldn't say it's amazing.

Speaker 3 (15:19):
The story kind of put me to sleep, so I'm
not gonna lie. Like I would watch like an episode
or two before bed, and like it made me ready
for bed, Like that's that's how I remember Called the.

Speaker 2 (15:28):
Night, So.

Speaker 1 (15:30):
I watched Call the Night when I was like, oh,
I've got nothing else to do, so I'm just gonna,
you know, sit there, look at the beautiful scenery and
the characters talking and the nice visuals and just sleep
to it. That's that's that's pretty much what I did
with the entire anime.

Speaker 3 (15:44):
It's so ironic because like the series is a kid
that can't sleep, and like he's walking around to the
night and yeah, I don't know. It just made me
so ready to sucking around the night.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
He meets this cute vampire chick and they just hang
out together.

Speaker 2 (15:56):
Yeah. So because it had it's very slice of lifey,
I feel like that that puts us to sleep a
little bit. But the actual characters and the aesthetic I
actually very much enjoyed. But a lot of times, like
they're just not that much happening, right.

Speaker 3 (16:12):
Yeah. It was a little bit of action towards the end,
and like, so maybe there'd be more action.

Speaker 1 (16:16):
I dropped.

Speaker 2 (16:16):
I dropped it like five episodes. Oh I didn't see
the action, but a lot.

Speaker 3 (16:20):
Of it was like just character introductions and then like
like I said, like you said, quieter stuff, but like
I don't know.

Speaker 2 (16:26):
I just like, I actually liked it, but it's just
not it wasn't enough for me to keep on going,
if that makes sense. Like I didn't dislike it, but
I watched it like yeah, this is this is a vibe,
and then I'm just like, but it wasn't enough for
me to keep on going.

Speaker 3 (16:40):
See that's the thing. I didn't watch it as a seasonal,
so like whenever, it's like you have to keep up
with it every single week and it has to be
compared to those others. I'm so much more willing to
drop some Yeah.

Speaker 2 (16:50):
Same, Yeah, I dropped everything. I really watched two shows
that out of the thirties that I checked out last season,
and one of them was bad that I finished it.
It was really God, I would it like a five
or ten? Maybe four and a half at ten?

Speaker 3 (17:03):
Hey, five is average? Okay, yeah, five is average.

Speaker 2 (17:07):
Soccer Moto Days was fantastic. I don't even know that.
Did I finish Soccer Moto Days?

Speaker 3 (17:12):
I think I did. I liked No Idea.

Speaker 2 (17:14):
I like Season one a lot.

Speaker 1 (17:16):
I loved it, even though even though a lot of
people hated it because of you know, some animation issues
with like still images or oh, people are complaining, Oh,
it looks like a PowerPoint, But honestly it was good. Man.

Speaker 3 (17:28):
I liked it. I will say, like, as much as
the manga is funny, one of the strongest points of
it was like how fast paced did the action and
stuff kind of was, and how good the artwork was
whenever it kind of portrayed that. So it's a very
fast read. So like, yeah, if they weren't wanting to
go all out animating it, I could see that kind
of maybe fall flat a bit, But I don't know.

(17:48):
I didn't watch it with any thoughts there breaks.

Speaker 2 (17:54):
I don't know. I feel like the animation. People overly
complain about some of these things. Like as long as
they do the animation good when it count and when
it matters is what I care about. When they're just
having a conversation, I don't mind as much. Oh yeah,
I do think One of my complaints is I like
that he was overpowered, But sometimes in the way that
they do things, it's so over the top that you

(18:17):
lose like the immersiveness, Like it's anime, it's fiction. It's anime.
You could do things that are crazy over the top
and I'll still believe it. But the second like a gunshot,
like a bullet is stopping chopsticks. It's like it turns
from yeah, it turns into hot flexing. It's not flexing

(18:38):
anymore because now it doesn't seem like I don't care
if he's running up a wall doing nineteen backflips, dodging
all the bullets and chopping someone and the chop cuts
someone in half. It's so unrealistic, but my mind can
still be like anime sick. He's just abust Like.

Speaker 3 (18:54):
This one was a bit weird because, like, I enjoyed it,
I had fun with it. I thought it was like
one of those like six out of ten manga that, like,
you know, you can kind to turn your brain off to.
But it was a weird mix between like action and
also just being a gag manga, like I think primary
Primarily it was like a lot of gags and stuff. So, yeah,
it came out at a time where Jump was.

Speaker 1 (19:13):
Trying to like he also turns into the Ogi Sakamoto
a few times and then goes back to fat Sakamoto
and a day after eating fast food.

Speaker 2 (19:24):
I don't know, I feel like the scenes that are
slightly more grounded that are really flexing. I really enjoy
like redirecting a bullet with a gumball. I'm still about it.
I'm still about it. Or like like like while he's
rolling like while he's rolling through like his convenience store,
throwing distractions and like it being all tactical and doing

(19:47):
over the top things. I'm about it. The chopsticks and
like the ranch. Some some some feats that are just
like too far gone just turn into a haha gag.
No longer a flex for me.

Speaker 3 (19:59):
The thing for me, I guess is I'm always more
about consistency. I don't care if it's over the top
as long as it's like it's like consistently over the top,
kind of like a gurrl legon like it curl Lagan
doesn't take me out of it because it's consistently up there, right,
Like that's kind of the whole point. But yeah, if
it's like if it's grounded most of the time and
then there's just random times where it like seems like
it's not I could see that taking you out of it.

Speaker 2 (20:20):
Yeah, there's like cloar scenes where like they're on like
a rollercoaster and they're doing like the the loop de
loops and they're jumping from the top and landing on
the bottom, and I'm like, this is impossible. But for me,
it's like it's still cool. It's still cool. It's still cool.
It's enough to trick my brain. And it's fiction, you know.

Speaker 3 (20:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (20:36):
I really like the characters. I like the dynamic, I
like the fight scenes. Soccomode is a bad act. I
did enjoy it a lot, but I just have I
just had a minor complaint, fair fair, and I will
be watching season two for sure. I have a YouTube
short for Soccamoto Days that, for whatever reason, does not
stop getting views. Like I usually have video, they they

(21:00):
skyrocket and then they die. This one is just like
we're going to get sixty views an hour for the
last twelve months or since the last one came out,
Like it's creatz. It's almost like two three hundred thousand
views now, and it's just never blown up and never died.
It's very it's all search. It's all search results too.

Speaker 3 (21:19):
People are six sense.

Speaker 2 (21:20):
It's weird.

Speaker 3 (21:22):
I never really had darriage to watch the Sakamoto Day's anime,
just because I'd already read it, but I did. I
did watch your clips and that's how I got like
a little bit of a snippet of it, right, Maybe
other people are the same way. It is a popular moment.

Speaker 2 (21:33):
People are just looking up the flexes. I guess, yeah,
because it's all search results and I never get that
it's interesting anyway. The summer Hikutu Died. That's an interesting title.

Speaker 3 (21:45):
This one looks kind of interesting, like kind of like
a horror type mystery type thing. And it's also like
a yowie I think, so like it's.

Speaker 1 (21:53):
Yes, a lot of people are saying that this is
a yowi from the mongerators.

Speaker 3 (21:57):
I think, but yeah, I'm not entirely sure. So I
don't know what's about this one.

Speaker 2 (22:02):
I feel like I don't like the fact that it
spoiled me already. I'm kidding the summer he could have
died now, I feel like I'll give this one. I'll
check it out. It's it at least sounds interesting to me.
Two best friends living already, I'll give it a little
a little read here. Yeah, I heard it was an
Oh Netflix, Yes it is Netflix and YouTube. What Oh really,

(22:25):
that's just that's just what I see here? Has a yeah,
Netflix and YouTube. Mm hmm. Anyway, two best friends living
in a rural Japanese village, Hoshiki and Hikatu, growing up together.
They are they were inseparable until the day he could do.
He could came back from the mountains, that was no
longer himself. Oh, something has taken over. He could do

(22:46):
his body, memories, feelings, and everything they know begins to unravel.

Speaker 1 (22:52):
He's a demon.

Speaker 2 (22:52):
Now, that's interesting. That's very interesting.

Speaker 3 (22:55):
I don't know a lot, but I Knowkaru died, so
I don't like even by I appreciate the spoiler.

Speaker 1 (23:01):
And he's possessed by a demon that is also plaguing
the town that they live in.

Speaker 2 (23:07):
Boys, Oh my god, boys, I found the anime of
the season. It was right here all along. Rascal does
not dream of Santa Claus.

Speaker 3 (23:19):
On my list, And I'm gonna tell you why.

Speaker 2 (23:21):
Why?

Speaker 1 (23:21):
Well, I don't really so.

Speaker 3 (23:23):
Season one was pretty alright. I actually do like Bunny
Girl SIMPI. I feel like it doesn't do any like
one thing incredibly well like its own thing, but it
feels like a mishmash of a bunch of other series.
It's just pretty fun like it has like a little
bit of like reminders of like our Gyru a little
bit of like Monagatari, and like it feels like it
takes these snippets of all these series and kind of
becomes its own thing. So there's some arcs I enjoy

(23:46):
more than others. I watched season one, I watched the
first movie, and I like what they're doing now of
like adapting a single volume of the light novel into
like movies now. But I glanced at this one and
apparently there's like two movies I missed something like I
watched the first movie and I didn't even realize they
had that. There's so many movies for this one.

Speaker 1 (24:04):
Yeah, movies one season and two movies that you have
to watch.

Speaker 3 (24:10):
I will watch this one eventually, but I don't know.

Speaker 2 (24:13):
But I love the name Rascal does Not Dream of
Santa Claus. It makes me want to watch it.

Speaker 1 (24:19):
I think it's gonna be Christmas themed.

Speaker 3 (24:23):
Summer anime.

Speaker 2 (24:24):
Summer anime, but this is going to be a Christmas
theme the Verry Fuss. But anyway, I'm definitely gonna watch it,
but I might have to go back and rewatch season
one and watch two or three movies.

Speaker 3 (24:37):
Yeah, there's a few movies. I guess. I don't know
exactly how many, but I ever seen one, so.

Speaker 1 (24:42):
No release dates.

Speaker 3 (24:46):
It is episode. I thought it was a movie.

Speaker 2 (24:49):
This is no.

Speaker 3 (24:49):
I guess not back to no. Okay, I was missing them,
but I kind of liked the whole movie thing they
had going on. Yeah, uh, I like the idea of it.

Speaker 1 (25:02):
Anywayso long, man, I'd prefer twenty four minutes. Saves a
lot of time.

Speaker 3 (25:07):
The one movie I did watch this like said it
was very high quality. It was pretty good.

Speaker 2 (25:11):
Nice.

Speaker 3 (25:12):
It was like the uh the disappearance of Horro Susan
Meya is what it kind of reminded me of, but
also just not quite as good. Right, So it's always
like similar to something else and just like a little
bit blow up for me. It's it's one. I enjoy it,
but it's it's weird how it does that. It keeps
you guessing nothing else, dude.

Speaker 2 (25:32):
The Rising of the Shield Hero is still happening. Oh
my god, Season four, Season four, the four seasons.

Speaker 1 (25:39):
Who I'm so excited for this one?

Speaker 2 (25:41):
Are you really?

Speaker 1 (25:42):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (25:43):
I'm so over it?

Speaker 3 (25:45):
Shield Heer.

Speaker 1 (25:47):
Okay, look season one, Banger. Season two was shit, but
I pulled through and I watched it. But it was bad,
really bad because of the animation quality and the downgray
and so many skips like it was not good. Season

(26:08):
three was a big redemption because the animation improved because
the original director decided to step back in and you know, improve,
and it was it was a very good arc, really
good arc.

Speaker 2 (26:21):
I don't know, because I feel like the problem with
these animes that rely on a gimmick is that once
the gimmick loses, it's like, are you lose your interest
in it or I stopped holding your attention. It has
to still be a good anime with good characters and
world building and storytelling and opponents and all that. And
I feel like they had a good introduction, a good gimmick. Now,
this type of shit's done all the time, but back

(26:42):
when this came out, there were things like it. But
it was definitely an interesting enough gimmick to get me invested.
And then I just lost my interest. It wasn't even
the animation with season two that bothered me, which it
was a problem, It just I didn't care anymore.

Speaker 3 (26:57):
Well, I will say I read the entire web novel
series back in the day, and then you know, now
the white novels are out those are pretty good, but
translating this into an anime, it is just kind of
hard to do. Season one was good. I I enjoyed it, yeah,
like pre concept. Season two was so bad, like just
direction wise, pacing wise, every like nobody really enjoyed it.

(27:18):
And whenever they tried to go back in season three
for me, that also felt like very like they were
just kind of rushing through plot point right, Like it
feels like it's just going plot point to plot point,
and like it it's lost my interest as well. I
couldn't do season three when I tried it. I barely
finished season two. Yeah, I struggled. I'd rather read this
one if I ever did it.

Speaker 1 (27:37):
But it was really good, Okay if if that excites you.
Remember the remember bitch from season one?

Speaker 3 (27:46):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (27:47):
Yeah yeah, they bring her back in season three. I
know the story, like her dirty stuff and betray the heroes.
They do that again.

Speaker 3 (27:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (27:57):
I think I read that as well, Actually I must.
I think I read After and one. I read a
bunch of it.

Speaker 3 (28:02):
Yeah, And so it's not that it's bad, like I
do enjoy the novels and stuff, it's just the way
that they like they adapted it. I don't know. It
feels like it's going from plot point to plot point
like a rush, and you're not really getting like any
time to I don't know, flesh out what's actually happening
or like live in the moment or any of that.
It's just I don't know. They're just trying to rush

(28:23):
through it. But like it also feels like one of
those things you almost have to kind of rush through,
right because it is.

Speaker 1 (28:28):
Uh not Everyone's like, yeah, everyone liked it, but they're
a loss. They don't they watch watch What can I.

Speaker 2 (28:39):
Say, Doctor Stone, Science Future Car two. I am super pumped.
Science Future is so good.

Speaker 1 (28:47):
It makes me really happy Briggs that you that you
are caught up complete of Doctor Stone. I'm so glad
that you're watching a good anime.

Speaker 3 (28:56):
Future.

Speaker 1 (28:56):
Mean it's just the name of the next season.

Speaker 2 (29:00):
Oh okay, it's just because like you know the story
of Doctor Stone, right, like they got set back.

Speaker 1 (29:08):
Yeah I have.

Speaker 3 (29:08):
I've read all of it, but I've never watched the anime,
so I.

Speaker 2 (29:11):
Don't know, like, like what the concept of Science Future
now is that they are I they're about to develop
things that haven't been done before, right because they had
to go back. They had to go back to like
the Stone Age and back to like bare bones nothing
and slowly catch up to where civilization was at with
certain levels of technology. And now they're getting into like

(29:34):
things that haven't been done or trying to do crazy
things that go to the moon, et cetera.

Speaker 1 (29:39):
Okay, and all while trying to.

Speaker 3 (29:44):
Villain say, it looks like the series is what.

Speaker 2 (29:47):
It looks like is probably towards the very end, because
we've already got in twelve episodes with this, like Villain
and they went to they went to the US with
the corn.

Speaker 3 (29:58):
Yeah, they're fighting these guys.

Speaker 1 (30:00):
This could be the last season very well could be.

Speaker 2 (30:03):
It looks like, well, as long as they end up
on the moon and then they die, we're gonna end
up in the moon and they're all gonna live happily
ever after in the world. What who I want to
I still need the like I haven't gotten any reveals
after all these episodes, Like we don't know who froze
everybody or whatever turned everyone to stone. We don't know

(30:25):
whose technology that was that came from the sky. We
don't know about like the cyborg fucking decu from I
won't say space.

Speaker 3 (30:32):
In mind when you have an entire long series built
on like a mystery, You're never gonna satisfy everybody. I
enjoyed it, but I know there's a lot of people
that don't like the ending, right, So it's.

Speaker 1 (30:42):
Really hope that the ending to Doctor Stone is that
they bring humanity back, because that's what I'm waiting for.

Speaker 2 (30:47):
If they don't you from the future, I mean, thank
you from the future.

Speaker 1 (30:54):
If they don't bring everybody back.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
He did it to save humanity, it would be the point.

Speaker 1 (31:01):
What would be the point of the entire show? If
they don't bring humanity back?

Speaker 2 (31:06):
I mean humanity.

Speaker 3 (31:08):
Life doesn't always have a happy ending for Donald is
not everybody still technology? Yeah, stuff happens, you know. Sometimes
sometimes you just turn the stone.

Speaker 1 (31:19):
You gotta save the world.

Speaker 3 (31:21):
Man is still one of the craziest main characters of
all time as far as like the you would talk
about this man stayed conscious for how long? Just counting memory,
I can't.

Speaker 1 (31:33):
Remember the smartest. Is he the smartest of all time?

Speaker 3 (31:36):
Of all anime?

Speaker 2 (31:37):
Probably smartest.

Speaker 3 (31:39):
I can't remember stuff I learned in high school. He's
remembering stuff he learned from forever ago. After counting for
that long road, Bro just knows it all.

Speaker 1 (31:47):
Is he smarter than light Yagami?

Speaker 3 (31:49):
Yes, yeah, I mean book smart wise? Yeah probably, I.

Speaker 2 (31:53):
Think all smarts wise, I don't think that smart. Yeah,
like else, he was an idiot.

Speaker 1 (32:02):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (32:03):
Anyway, Grand Blue Dreaming Season two.

Speaker 3 (32:08):
Oh, I never thought we'd actually get this.

Speaker 2 (32:11):
We're gonna fuck this season too. Let's just rewatch the
movie and get drunk. The live action I'm telling you
that's it's okay.

Speaker 3 (32:19):
Actually breaks, that movie breaks.

Speaker 1 (32:21):
If you're willing to watch it again.

Speaker 3 (32:22):
I will, cause I know, like I said, we were
drinking while watching it. So like I've seen this movie twice,
I still couldn't really tell you what happened. Like, I
just know it's a fun time, Okay. That's all I
know is the vibes.

Speaker 2 (32:34):
Yeah, I'm with live action.

Speaker 1 (32:36):
That never was a live action one night guys, This
anime is about scupa diving.

Speaker 3 (32:42):
Oh yeah, it's not that too.

Speaker 2 (32:44):
It's not much more. Especially, I think the live action movie,
while being terrible at times, was actually better than the
first season, and I stand by that. They they probably
agree they brought missed they had. I don't know they
had it all. Yeah, I've actually had it.

Speaker 3 (33:04):
All, like I said Season one was great. It's one
of my favorite comedy anime. But like, the live action
is my favorite live action that I've ever seen. So
I take that with a grain of salt. I haven't
seen a ton, but.

Speaker 1 (33:15):
I'll take your word on it. If Briggs actually joins us,
then I will join.

Speaker 2 (33:19):
For then I'm so down.

Speaker 3 (33:20):
Let's do it.

Speaker 1 (33:21):
Okay, let's do it. Let's do it movie night then
almost just mark your calendars. Let me know when, and
we'll do.

Speaker 2 (33:27):
This thing new pante and Stalking with garter belts. What
I say new, like, is it gonna be a remake?

Speaker 3 (33:33):
New season? I think?

Speaker 2 (33:36):
Is this a sequel?

Speaker 3 (33:37):
Yeah, it says sequel to This is a sequel to
Panting and Stalking. I have not seen the show, never
seen it.

Speaker 2 (33:44):
I watched a little bit of it. I want to
actually watch it all so. I love the synopsis. The
bitches are back. Oh my god, I'm so down. I'm
so down to watch it.

Speaker 1 (33:59):
We're back, bitches.

Speaker 3 (34:02):
I've seen clips from this show. I feel like they're
always wild and like very over the top. I never
know what to think.

Speaker 2 (34:08):
This is a sequel, the next one, this next one.
I was reincardinated as the seventh Prince. Yeah, so I
can take my time perfecting my magical ability season to
kill me Now, this.

Speaker 1 (34:20):
Generic is reincarnation anime gets a second season, which is
mind blowing.

Speaker 3 (34:25):
I didn't even realize this until you were talking about
it earlier. Wecon, Like I just blocked it out. I
just didn't even have you guys seen the first one
was a thing. No, what is this?

Speaker 1 (34:36):
It hasn't even been that long. It's just been a few.

Speaker 4 (34:39):
Months, a few months, and it already has a second life.
Give me a season, a sequel for No Game. Give
you a sequel for No Game, No Life. They got
a movie, they got they got a season one.

Speaker 3 (34:51):
Give me a season, dude, No Game, No Movie was
so good. I liked it.

Speaker 1 (34:56):
Maybe the description of the anime will make you guys
watch it. So this is about a sorcerer who is
ship who can barely really use high level magic and
dies and is then reincarnated as the seventh Prince of
the Royal Kingdom and is overpowered as a baby, and
he has a bunch of maids that make up his harem,

(35:19):
and he goes to the library. He finds a spell
book and learns magic to the Max and he just.

Speaker 2 (35:27):
Powers and he's the overpowered prodigy of this world and.

Speaker 1 (35:34):
He goes boo boo boo, Die Die die, and everybody
just dies around him. He's too overpowered.

Speaker 2 (35:39):
Listening to you describe that makes me embarrassed to be
an anime fan.

Speaker 3 (35:43):
Did you watch all the season WonderCon and do you plan?

Speaker 1 (35:47):
Yes? And I plan on watching this too.

Speaker 3 (35:50):
You know, I kind of respect that he owns Italy.
I don't know anything about that's enough. Sounded like every
overpowered the guy ever.

Speaker 1 (35:58):
Exactly, That's what I mean. And it's so generic. It's
the same old thing over again. Let's go.

Speaker 3 (36:05):
Oh so moving on from that, let's go on to
what my favorite of the season, or at least my
most anticipated of the season is. I'm really looking forward
to Secrets of the Silent Witch. It's like, it looks
like it's it says show jo on the tags. It
says like, oh Joe Sama, So like all those things
I read the synopsis, I was just kind of thinking,
and you know, it sounds kind of all right. The

(36:25):
trailer and the opening are beautiful, and you might not
like this one breaks because the main character she's a
shy girl. Okay, she's so shy that she can't she
can't hardly speak. She's hate that. She casts her magic
silently in an overpowered way, kind of like Mushoku, but
rather than doing it for any crazy reason or to
b op, it's because she's so shy, right, Like, that's

(36:46):
why she had to learn to do with that one.
That's good. God, it's so beautiful looking. And I don't
know this one. I didn't think it like sounded that great,
and then I watched the trailer and I'm like, you
know what, I'm really looking forward to this want to
not to describe it.

Speaker 2 (37:01):
I'll watch one episode. Jordan doesn't sound good to me, but.

Speaker 3 (37:05):
I might not like it either, But it looks great.

Speaker 1 (37:08):
Yeah, if it's a protagonist that is so shy and
barely says anything, then that's.

Speaker 3 (37:12):
Supposed to it. It's about overcoming that and moving past that, right,
is kind of the vibes I got from it, So
learning to put yourself out there and stuff.

Speaker 2 (37:22):
Okay, next anime is token a key.

Speaker 3 (37:26):
I'm excited.

Speaker 2 (37:28):
The bloodlines of One and Momo Tadu have been passed
down among certain humans for generations long ago, the only
were aware of their own Ferocity lived in seclusion. However,
their peace was shattered by an invasion led by Momo Tadu.
Over thousands of years, these two factions formed the Momo
Tadu Agency and the Only Agency, respectively, and they have

(37:51):
been locked in conflict ever since. The protagonist, Schiki Blah
blah blah, suddenly learns of his only lineage, following oh
I heard of this. That took me a while in
the description.

Speaker 1 (38:04):
Why why are you reading the description like this?

Speaker 2 (38:07):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (38:07):
I thought it'd be fun, he realized midway through trash.

Speaker 1 (38:14):
It's gonna be pretty heavily action by I've seen the trailer.
The visuals look good, and the story seems interesting.

Speaker 2 (38:20):
Mystery, supernatural action.

Speaker 1 (38:24):
It's a revenge. It is a revenge storyline.

Speaker 2 (38:28):
I've had enough with revenge storyline.

Speaker 3 (38:31):
Is that not just the same picture as the one
we did? Like a popularity number five? Are those different anime?
Or are those?

Speaker 1 (38:37):
I have no idea, But Chiki is the protagonist, and
he is an oni and hist anime okay, and the
guy who takes and he lives with a guy, an
old man that takes care of him, but he is
a MoMA taru and Chiki is an ony, but he
explains to him later after his care gets killed by

(38:57):
his own klan the moment Taru and then Shiki discovers
he is an oni and he wants to get revenge
on the moment Taro. So Shiki joins in a school,
a special academy for one, where he will learn more
about his powers, control his powers and ship, and get
stronger to get revenge on the moment Taru clan.

Speaker 3 (39:17):
I'm not gonna lie. I might like this one if
I gave it a chance. You know, I might watch
an episode for you guys, But that's too many words
in the synopsis.

Speaker 2 (39:26):
The water too much.

Speaker 1 (39:28):
But it genuinely looks interesting.

Speaker 2 (39:30):
So okay, I feel like the water in this anime
is gonna look beautiful based on the artworka the next
anime called The Water Magician. Well, I see my trash
card get shipped on. Okay, recline, what do you know
about this?

Speaker 1 (39:44):
I've seen the first episode. Now, if you guys like
the idea of slow paced or slow living, then this
could be the enemy for you. So this is an
isakai about the guy named Ryu who is blessed with
eternal youth. So he no matter how many years passed by,

(40:06):
he will always be the same and look the same,
and he has his strait of being a master at
water magic. So the first episode was just a big, big, long,
slow introduction of him basically tampering and using his skills
and abilities just to you know, get a hang of it.
And that's pretty much what the whole episode is about.

(40:27):
It's him exploring his powers, exploring his surroundings, and basically
trying to figure out where he is in this world,
exploring his house and all that. So it's very slow,
slow living, lots of slice of life, and there's gonna
be some action as well here and there.

Speaker 3 (40:43):
So yeah, well, say, the synopsis sounds kind of average
and some far like overall, but water always looks beautiful
in anime.

Speaker 2 (40:50):
So oh yeah the water.

Speaker 1 (40:51):
The water, I don't anime are good looking?

Speaker 2 (40:53):
The water.

Speaker 3 (40:54):
I feel like sometimes anime makes water look better than
real life, Like it makes me thirsty. I'm like, oh,
I can go for some water at after watching that.

Speaker 2 (41:01):
All right, we've talked about seventeen anime. I don't want
to go further than this right now. However, recon based
on the ones below this are there any anime you
think we need to watch one episode.

Speaker 1 (41:13):
Of Yes, okay, get Stronger. New Saga is also another
one that I've watched. Okay, It's called New Saga. This
is a time travel anime about gaining a second chance
in life.

Speaker 2 (41:31):
Never heard that before?

Speaker 1 (41:33):
Now listen. So you have the Hero's party, okay, and
that therefore they're they're in the final battle against the
Great Demon Lord. Unfortunately, all the members of the Hero's
party were wiped out except for the main hero. He

(41:55):
managed to defeat the Demon Lord and is on his
last legs of survival. So all of this was for nothing.
So he touched a relic or a treasure left behind
it by the Demon Lord, which sent him years back
into the future to try again, where all of his
comrades are alive.

Speaker 2 (42:13):
How can they go to the future and they be alive?

Speaker 3 (42:16):
I mean into the past, right in the past?

Speaker 1 (42:18):
Sorry, sorry the past? What the fuck am I saying?
I meant the past. He goes back to the past
where all of his comrades are alive, to rewind back
time to you know, because the hero, he knows all
of the events that will happen, so he's going to
try and fix things to better prepare himself for the
worst to come.

Speaker 3 (42:37):
Okay, I've read like two or three mon while with
this exact same plot. I'm not gonna lie, trust me.

Speaker 1 (42:42):
I watched the first episode. It was good.

Speaker 2 (42:45):
The time travel twist to it or part of it.
If they do it well, I'm excited for because it's
im assuming you guys, I've seen Stein's Gate. Stein's Gate starts.

Speaker 1 (42:57):
Off, No, I haven't seen it. I dropped it. It
was shit.

Speaker 2 (43:04):
Of all time.

Speaker 3 (43:05):
But as far as just repeating life, like trying not
to make those same mistakes, that's just the I've read
like three man while with that exact same premise. It
happens all the time.

Speaker 2 (43:14):
One of the things that I like about Stein's Gate
is around twelve episodes in I do find that, like
all the things that he they have done affected the world,
and now he's kind of like trying to fix all
the mistakes that he fucked up. So trying to fix
things and making things worse with trime travel is done
quite often, but if it's done well with new saga,

(43:36):
I might be interesting because he's going back and he
knows events, but you don't know how it's gonna turn
out right, so hopefully he fucks some stuff up, things
go bad, his consequences to his actions, and it's not
just like I know everything now and everything will be
perfect and I could flex the fact like that.

Speaker 1 (43:54):
It's nothing like that.

Speaker 3 (43:55):
Okay, that's what I was.

Speaker 2 (43:56):
Yeah, it was much more.

Speaker 3 (43:58):
Fool over there with Brigs and then glass empty with
me right here. Hopefully it's somewhere at least in between.

Speaker 2 (44:03):
It's like I now have a smartphone and everything will
work out perfectly without any trouble.

Speaker 1 (44:11):
No, But the way they explain the lore, like how
he travels back into the past, it's very interesting. Like
I was so hooked from the first episode. So I
guarantee you guys really like this one. It's not generic.
I can say this right now, it is not generic.

Speaker 3 (44:26):
I will give this one an episode at least. I'll
add it to my list right now, just just for
you recon but we'll see how it goes. But I
did have one other one I had like top of
my list that I was really looking forward to. Here,
I'm sad I haven't seen it on the list yet
because we're going by popularity, right, so that means this
one's not very popular. But it's by Studio Bind. It's

(44:47):
that one right there, Rory Rocks up a little bit,
Rory Rocks, so like, uh, I believe it's also the
English name would be something like Mineralogy. So this is
one where, yeah, introduction to Mineralogy. It's literally it's kind
of a cute girl's doing cute things type of show,

(45:07):
but it's like going out and like finding minerals and
like going and every single people go in the river
and uh and try to get gold out of it
and things like that. With the pans and what It's
like a whole subject area that I'm not that familiar with,
and I'm like, I'm willing to learn, Like I could
learn some things from this. So it looks very pretty.
Like I said, Studio Bind initially came together to make

(45:29):
that first season of Mushoku and to bring that adaptation
to life, and then they've they've continued to do that,
but they've more so shifted all the quality to like
these cute, cute girl type shows. But this one seems interesting.
It seems like it goes into like a very specific
topic and it looks like it goes pretty deep into it.
So the trailer looks good.

Speaker 1 (45:49):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (45:50):
We'll see what this one's like. May or may not
like it, but I'm looking forward to it.

Speaker 2 (45:55):
Well. On the bright side, the character on the right
is pretty thick, so I'm down to watch it. Yeah,
but she has it going on of course, and Mining
I'm down to watch Mining.

Speaker 1 (46:04):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (46:05):
Okay, there's so many other anime here. I just don't
want to watch The Vending Machine got a season two
like Venue. She was actually kind of fun, but I'm.

Speaker 1 (46:12):
Not watch it was so shit, man, there's another.

Speaker 2 (46:16):
One go ahead, so this one.

Speaker 3 (46:19):
Actually, I don't think the anime is probably gonna be
that great because I tried to look into like the
staff and the studio, and people didn't seem to like
the first episode. But it's one of my top fifteen
manga of all time in a very biased way. So
what whata tarikuns Bleep is about to collapse? There's like
six stars there. I've read the whole manga still couldn't
tell you what those stars mean. I have no idea,

(46:42):
but it's it's one of my favorite in the same
way they miss the girlfriend and and keeping out Irimachia, right,
it's like a guilty pleasure, but it's just really good?
Is it?

Speaker 1 (46:52):
Like his wiener is about to collapse?

Speaker 3 (46:54):
See that's what I thought going into it, but not
really like it doesn't make any sense. It's not really
that actually, like most of the time it is at times,
but like, I don't think it's anything perverted. It's just hmm,
I don't know. I don't know what the stars mean.
I'd be lying if I said I did.

Speaker 2 (47:09):
But why are there so many cool looking anime? As
I scrolled down the list? Here, okayset about this. I'm
really upset.

Speaker 1 (47:15):
There was so.

Speaker 2 (47:17):
Much anime?

Speaker 3 (47:19):
A good one for you?

Speaker 2 (47:20):
And then okay, what's the good one?

Speaker 1 (47:23):
It's cold? Welcome to the Outcasts restaurant.

Speaker 2 (47:27):
That's actually the one I wanted to watch. Where to go?

Speaker 1 (47:29):
So, Riggs, do you like kicked out of the party?

Speaker 2 (47:36):
I don't know what that is.

Speaker 3 (47:37):
I don't know what that is When heroes.

Speaker 1 (47:40):
Party, the guy gets kicked out, he turns out to
be overpowered.

Speaker 2 (47:45):
It's I know longer, I no longer want to watch it.
I thought it was gonna be a bunch of people
that like got kicked out, and then they made a
restaurant and I'm.

Speaker 1 (47:54):
Like, yeah, so this is I like the first episode.
But this is about is Dennis is the protagonist, and
he is a chef. He's level ninety nine, and he
wields a butcher knife. And he gets booted out of
the party by the main hero because he he thinks
that there's no room here for a chef. You're a weird.

Speaker 3 (48:18):
It's so sad.

Speaker 1 (48:19):
So the chef is booted out. He decides to use
his super talented chef skills to open up his very
own restaurant in the town. And he's gonna invite a
bunch of cute girls to become his waitresses. That's what
the enemy is all about.

Speaker 3 (48:35):
It sounds like this is this is Sandy after he
left the straw Hats.

Speaker 2 (48:38):
This is this is Sandy, level ninety nine, Level ninety nine.

Speaker 1 (48:44):
Chef opens up his own restaurant.

Speaker 2 (48:46):
What about hell? Teacher gi Goku sensing new twenty five.

Speaker 3 (48:51):
That's a really old manga. Yeah, I might try out.
It looks like it's getting like.

Speaker 1 (48:55):
A rot two episodes.

Speaker 2 (48:57):
Two episodes are with a good Washington very okay, Well happen.

Speaker 1 (49:02):
It's got this. It's it's the visual style is not
like modern. It's got this old look or style to it,
which I didn't mind at all at least it was good.
But it has a lot of action with a It's
like about this teacher who has like psychic abilities or powers,
and he's like he's he's a teacher, but he's also

(49:23):
a detective mixed together, and he helps like he becomes
a substitute teacher for the school and the and the
school is like haunted with demons and ship and the
and the kids they have a lot of problems and
some of them are even possessed by demons. So the
sense a Nube he uses his school powers and shit

(49:45):
to basically exercise those demons. And lots of cool moments,
good action, a weird looking.

Speaker 2 (49:54):
And I'll check it out. I'll check it out. It's
so funny. I see these like this art and I
get title. I'm like, I want to watch this. Hawk
Lips Bringer, me no Gras whatever world conquest starts with
the civilization of Ruin. I'm like, this looks cool.

Speaker 1 (50:08):
I'll watch it.

Speaker 2 (50:08):
I read the description. I am not watching this.

Speaker 3 (50:11):
I read the first half of the first light novel
of that.

Speaker 1 (50:13):
It was.

Speaker 2 (50:15):
Dude, du yeah, I try. I look at the art,
I look at the title, I'm like a pocket, yeah, yeah,
But then I read the description and it's like, oh,
a young boy falls to illness at a young age,
ends up being reincarnated into another world based on his
favorite game that he played. And not only that, but
he's also a god.

Speaker 3 (50:35):
It's so sad how many times I see like a
trashy guy anime coming out and I'm like, oh, I've
read the first volume of that just to try it out.

Speaker 2 (50:43):
Happens too often, Like dude, I like, why couldn't he
just be reincarnated and be like with like no powers,
but he's good at the strategy part of the game.

Speaker 3 (50:51):
Why did he have to be a god? He was
the best at the game? Okay, he beat it with
a class that like nobody ever played because they you know,
they were very hard. It was like the hard difficulty, right, yeah.

Speaker 2 (51:02):
Reincardinated as like a shitty goblin or like a lower
level grunt, not the god who commands the evil civilization.

Speaker 3 (51:10):
I'm like, yeah, that one. It's it's weird because it's, uh,
he he was in the hospital whenever he was in life, right,
So it's one where he doesn't really have social skills.
But like, that's that explains why he was so good
at the game is because he would literally just sit
there and play that, like he couldn't really go out
and do anything else. But uh, but it's weird because
like they say, he like has bad social skills, and

(51:30):
it kind of goes back and forth of like him
not and then him having it. And I'm like, whenever
there's like writing that's just inconsistent like that to me,
that's whenever I was struggling, I'm like, does he have
bad social skills or like I couldn't tell he's character?

Speaker 2 (51:45):
Yeah, I think. I say we watch the Bowling Club
anime The Bowling Turkey Turkey Time to Strike. There's a
bunch of anime girls and I feel like they're gonna
go bowl and I want to watch it.

Speaker 3 (52:01):
I have even heard of this one. There's a bowling anime.

Speaker 1 (52:05):
Where did you? Where is it?

Speaker 3 (52:07):
Bowling scroll scrolling?

Speaker 2 (52:10):
Oh my god, all the way Turkey is a bowling Turkey.
There you go for scoring three executive strikes.

Speaker 1 (52:17):
My second anime original.

Speaker 3 (52:20):
Yeah, Oh my god, how miss this?

Speaker 2 (52:23):
My start bowling glob Let's go, let's go, all right,
I really don't want to watch anything else.

Speaker 1 (52:30):
Listen, listen, breaks break here.

Speaker 3 (52:32):
That's my favorite.

Speaker 1 (52:34):
So let's see if you answer yes to all these questions?
Do you like studio white Fox? No, just kidding, guess
do you like Aki sometimes? Do you like ugly bastards?

Speaker 3 (52:51):
That one did look kind of funny. I didn't.

Speaker 1 (52:56):
It looks like you've answered three to all. You answered
yes to all three. You have to watch busa mean
Gotchi fighter.

Speaker 3 (53:04):
It's a Nissa guy that the bank character is an
ugly bastard.

Speaker 1 (53:07):
Yeah, ugly bastards. This looks are negative two thousand. His
looks are negative two hundred and fifty five. Touching girls
will cause him pain and sexual act literally tear him apart.
Just what can our ex salesman Shigadoo get in another world?

Speaker 3 (53:25):
Finally, a relatables guy. You love to see it. I
love to see it, love to see it, kind of excited.

Speaker 2 (53:30):
Is there anything else? Or are we done? Because now
we're at like twenty four anime?

Speaker 3 (53:37):
I have like thirteen on my list fourteen. I don't know.
There's a lot here. If you guys have one, specifically.

Speaker 2 (53:44):
Watch as as you can watch episode one of Pantings Talking.
Please to watch as many as you can for next week.

Speaker 3 (53:51):
I have seas one panting and stocking season one, that's right,
I don't yeah, maybe we will say. People are saying
this is a great season, and I think it is
if you've seen the first seasons. Like, there's a lot
of good sequels here. Yeah, I think that now. I
feel like there's it's kind of slim pickings a little.

Speaker 2 (54:09):
Bit, honestly, just having Don the Don Kaiju No. Eight
and Soccomoto Days, it's already a good season, right. I'm
excited for Gatchichakuta, and then there's Doctor Stone, which I'm
super excited.

Speaker 3 (54:22):
For Andres Darling.

Speaker 2 (54:24):
Yeah, you know, I mean, I'm not super said Darling.
But there's a lot of good sequels. There's a couple
an there's a couple of anime that catch our attention
that aren't like sequels, but they're gonna be a lot
of trash, Like there always is good Lucky Econ.

Speaker 3 (54:41):
Sock, I want me to watch again. I added New
Saga in my list. Was there like another one or
two that you have?

Speaker 1 (54:46):
Like yes, so at that outcast restaurant. Definitely check that.

Speaker 2 (54:53):
Literally, just Jordan watching the first seventeen based on popularity
on the chart and if you can and then and
then watch my Bastard, watch the Ugly then watch one Outcast,
Outcast Restaurant, and Ugly Bastard.

Speaker 1 (55:10):
Yeah, I watched the Goatchi Fighter Ugly Bastard.

Speaker 3 (55:13):
That means you guys got to watch the Mineralogy and
side watch one will okay.

Speaker 2 (55:16):
And that puts us around twenty one anime episode one
still watch, which I think would be good for next week.
We're gonna talk about those first episodes. Hopefully I drop
twenty of them.

Speaker 1 (55:29):
You might, you never know.

Speaker 2 (55:32):
Ideally I would like to drop seventeen and have like
four non sequels, not counting sequels, like four non sequels
that I could actually like, be like I'm excited for.
That's a win. If there's three to four non sequels
that I'm excited for, that's a w.

Speaker 3 (55:46):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (55:46):
Why do I have a feeling that the Ugly Bastard
Isakai is going to be good? Like it's going to
be a good in a very long time.

Speaker 2 (55:54):
Gona be honest, like my hopes My standards are low.
My standards are low.

Speaker 1 (55:59):
It's Studio White Fox, Come on, They're good.

Speaker 2 (56:01):
I haven't watched a good Ey Sakai in a long time.

Speaker 1 (56:03):
Racon So studio, but studio fight, White Fox did Ree
Zero good Sakai and then they're doing this one.

Speaker 2 (56:09):
So while the studio matters, the studio does matter, the
source material also matters. And if it's just shit, it's
shit true.

Speaker 3 (56:17):
How much does White Fox do though, because I do
feel like I see that a lot where I'll get
a Blu ray and it's a studio I know is
not very good. I don't know a lot about White
Fox or yeah, White Fox, but uh, I know there's
some bad studios where they'll be like the creators of
this anime and I'm like, bro, that is like one
of one hundred animes they've done. Kind of okay, that
oh good?

Speaker 2 (56:38):
But anyway more, I think that is it for this week.
I hope everyone enjoyed. Remember to check out the boys
check out the previous podcast on Spotify. I'm gonna try
and get back to uploading them on YouTube. Life has
been a little bit busy and I started a new
YouTube channel called Teching one on one and Brigs.

Speaker 3 (56:53):
TCG that you need to follow our games.

Speaker 2 (56:57):
Whoa, we got seven hundred subs in like a week,
which is we gotta get to a thousand and uh
yeah check it out, enjoy, and just like that, I'll
