Light week for headlines, so we dedicate the majority of this episode to breaking down what to expect in Tokyo as team Canada competes for their spot on the podium at the Olympics. Canada will be represented by two golfers on both the men’s and women’s tournaments - Corey Conners, Mackenzie Hughes, Brooke Henderson and Alena Sharp.
We discuss what we know about the historic Kasumigaseki Country Club, whose East course will play host to both tournaments. We also discuss the makeup of the field, how golfers qualified, and which countries look strongest heading into the event.
If you’re the night owl type, the men’s tournament kicks off on Wednesday, July 28th at 6:30pm EST. The women’s event is the following week, on Wednesday, August 1st at 6:30pm EST. Both events will be streamed at CBC.ca.
